Shadowrun (6e): Shadows of Dead Gods

Alright! I've got all of the functional bits of the page completed, all that remains if an example character for everyone to reference and a character sheet template for everyone to copy+paste.

Quick poll from you guys, would you rather I post the page now while I work on the example and template after the fact? That way you can start reading up on things getting a groundwork for your characters worked on while I build out the last of the page.

Or would you prefer to wait a bit longer so I can put the last bits together?

Yes, sorry about that! I'm still trying to think about what is the best way to pass them out. I don't want to just give out a public link and effectively pirate out the books so they need to be private links.

I think I'll set up a Google drive and pass links through IMs.

As for characters, like Necroes said, they are very open ended in terms of roles and playstyle. You could, if you wanted, have a mage who flies helicopters and is still somehow very skilled in hacking. That of course is a crazy example and probably not possible at character creation. But the point is that there are no hard restrictions on skills and abilities for characters.

The page is about 75% complete now. I have some sections left to build out, and I will finish them tomorrow. This is definitely one of the more comprehensive pages I've made here.

There is more I intend to add, but that can be done post-launch as it is meant for live tracking of the campaign's status.

I am working on the main page for the RP. It's a big one, so it might take me a while. At this point I'd say it's about 50% complete. Will crush most of the remaining work out tonight. Should be ready for tomorrow so you folks can start working on your characters.

And with 4 people interested, I will get to work on preparing an OOC for the campaign Thursday evening! As it seems no one has interacted with the 6e system, I will include a section to follow along for character creation, the relevant resources, and a section including the basic concepts of skill tests and rolling dice in SR6!

To anyone else looking in on this int check, there are (at this time) 2 open slots still!

Excellent! 6e takes place throughout the 2080s. My campaign will be in the late 2080's. There is some established lore in my continuity that differs from the main continuity, but I will cover those when they're relevant.

Question One: Are you ok with letting people who have never played Shadowrun before join this game?

Question Two: Will this be a Pink Mohawk game or or will you be leaning more towards Black Trenchcoat?

1: Yes absolutely! I can help get you acquainted to the system and with character generation if you've never played it before. I have (almost) all of the books in PDF form so I can share.

2: I will allow characters to be cyberpunks if players want. Not all Shadowrunners are discreet professionals after all!

Hello! I am putting an interest check out for 6e Shadowrun! I know there are strong feelings against 6e, but I think that the edition has mostly been fixed up after the abysmal release of its first core rulebook. With many iterations of the CRB, and addon books like the Companion, Firing Squad, and so on, SR6 is in a great spot now.

I have a plot cooked up and would love to get a team of 4 to 6 runners for the campaign! Looking for committed players who are motivated to stick with it!

The player characters will start at chargen levels, and all 6e expansion books are open for use at chargen (following all the standard chargen limitations).

The setting will be contained within Seattle for the purposes of this campaign (with a possible sidequest taking the players out of Seattle to venture to the Carribean for a rumored artifact if they so choose).

As with any cyberpunk setting, this RP will include some mature themes and language.
