Chapter 1: We Remember

Planet Ram

Mount Tamir is the home of the last clans that evaded the capture of the EOM. Surrounded by dense swamps full of feral beasts, pits with no end and a mountain known for being a natural fortress. The slavers that inhabits the conquered planet of Ram avoids it entirely as taking it would be too costly, arguing that with no farmable lands near the remaining Rarians would just starve inside their unconquerable mountain. But what they didn't know was that inside the formidable mountain history was being made.

Inside the mountain two of the largest clans are fighting for complete control of the destiny of the Rarians. The Iron Fists led by Karduke Dragon Fist versus Timar the Savage leader of the Dark Furs. Soon the mountain itself became the battlefield as the battle rages on for this battle will decide the destiny of the Rarians, as Timar plans to hide the clans inside the impenetrable mountain a coward’s plan but will insure that the Rarians survival while Karduke encourages the ideas and the traditions of old, War with the weak.

The various clans under the Iron fist and the Dark furs clash upon each other with steel and savagery. Decapitating, Crushing, Cutting, and Slashing against one another soon painting the walls with crimson red. Evenly matched the casualties starts to rise between the two clans, until that is a narrow opening presented itself to Karduke and like a raging bull he charged into the chaos confronting Timar for the last time.

“TIMAR LETS END THIS” He yells out charging into him like a mad bull, ignoring the others that failed to maintain the front-line watching helplessly as he crashes into their leader unopposed and with this the battle was over for this meant only one thing a duel between legends fighting for the next step, both known for being legends, with feats known throughout the Rarians old and young, Scars earned through battles with odds that would make a lesser Rarian run away in fear.

Facing armies with a handful of brothers, ending wars, changing history, these two are worthy leaders any Rarian would follow to the battlefield or to the afterlife, to prosperity or destruction, to conquest or annihilation, to victory or defeat, to chaos or order, and to history or to dust.

With a loud thud Timar catches both of Kardukes horns desperately stopping his brutal charge. “TRAITOR.” Karduke yells out with murderous rage filling the caverns of the mighty mountain “YOU ARE A COWARD” He continues with the same ferocity piercing the ear of any who aren't prepared. To hear his mighty roar trying his all to break free of Timar’s iron grip.

“YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND MY FRIEND WE ARE FEW AND WEAK. ATTACKING THE EOM WILL SEAL OUR RACE FATE FOREVER.” Timar answers matching his volume as he throws him to the side taking out his sword from his sheath, walking to the downed warrior “IF YOU LEAD THEN WE WILL BE NO MORE, FRIEND OR NOT I CAN’T LET YOU DO THAT” He yells out announcing to the others as if he was already victorious before drove he drove his sword down towards Karduke closing his eyes as this was once his best friend “Good bye my friend” He whisper as he bury his sword into Karduke’s guts.

“I WON’T DIE THAT EASILY.” Karduke yells out catching the veteran off guard and with no time to react Karduke grabs his head, unwounded as the sword slides away as it didn’t penetrate the thick armor plating that now serves as his body, leaving only a small scratch mark “I have lost” He whispers happily to Karduke “If it’s you then maybe we might have a chance to free our people from this accursed weakness” He continues waiting for Karduke to finish him off “Let them know that we remember” He finishes his final words and with no regret he closes his eyes before Karduke finally crushes his head.

“May you prove yourself to the dragons above old friend.” He whispers to the lifeless before dropping the deceased veteran body to the piles of bodies that liter the cavern, and with this action the battle for the Rarians fate was over, and soon cheers replaces the war cries that once dominated the caverns as once enemies dropped their weapon welcoming the other side as brothers for they are now united under one clan and united in fate they will show everyone weak or strong that they remember.

“READY YOURSELVES FOR WE SHALL SHOW EVERYONE THAT WE REMEMBER!” He pridefully announces raising his iconic iron hand fist, as this victory means that the Rarians are done hiding and soon they will take the fight to everyone and with the legendary Karduke as their new dragon lord their counterattack will be legendary.

Chapter 1: Setting up

Tarisa the industrial capital of ram, filled with machinery and steel, this industrial city was once the proud capital city of Sararis, but now functions as the headquarters of the slavers. Functioning as both a prison and a industrial complex, Tarisa is filled with Rarians, Slaves, Prisoners of war and other EOM criminals primary as labor force to power and operate the complicated machinery thats makes up most of the city. to work and to die inside the walls of Tarisa.

The city due to its harsh conditions and treatment has had a long history of bloodshed and rebellions, and due to this long history of conflict the guards are all well equipped and well trained in case of a large scale rebellion occurs. As the first signs of rebellions are felt the vast automated defense turrets systems around and on top of the city starts to activate and once activated it starts to scan the city in all times in for any hostile or defiant act towards a slaver not hesitating to fire upon civilian or infrastructure that stands in its way.

As the city's defenses can quickly discourage any form of rebellion against the slavers, there has been some talks of an rebel cell operating inside the city limits calling themselves the hidden dagger, Though the slavers firmly believes that the little rebellion cell is nothing more than a small gang of misfits, and wouldn't in any way post a threat to them inside their city they continue on towards daily lives, but what they don’t know is that it was growing.

The Hidden dagger as of now is weak and armless but it had a leader, a competent one and with her guidance it was becoming a threat to the slavers but the thing that makes it deadlier was the fact that it was allowing the other races to join them human or not and because of this the hidden dagger is becoming smarter and adaptive.

Inside a small craved out underground room, under a small tavern famously known as the "Nana's Stop" a small war council was being held, consisting of the leaders of the hidden daggers, “We need weapons.” A male humans with short red hair speaks getting right into the issue in an irritated voice and tone.

“What of weapons if we can’t feed our people” A tall rabbit morph speaks responding with the same tone as the red hair man before placing a handful of black colored carrots in the table "We are running out of food" He continues with a worried tone "The slavers are slowly poisoning us..." He continues with his concerns "This is why we need weapons in the first place so that we can protect ourselves" the red haired man interrupts him and soon the two starts to argue with one another and soon cutting the council in half between getting food or weapons and within seconds everyone starts arguing.

“QUIET!” Luke yells out slamming both of his palms at the table causing the others to look to him “Lulu is going to speak.” He follows up but with a calmer voice as he points at Lulu a rabbit morph that is recognized as the leader of the hidden daggers “Thanks Luke.” She thanks Luke for bringing order back to the council and soon Lulu takes her seat ready to answer the councils concerns.

“So what now” the red-haired man impatiently says “We grow.” She answers calmly "Grow!?" He asks puzzled and confused "what do you mean grow we are starving and every moment we waste our time here the stronger the slavers get while we sit here doing nothing but sit around and wait." He argues annoyed and above all else irritated "The slavers are poisoning us making us weak and hungry." The tall rabbit morph adds getting two additional black carrot in his worn out pockets "The supplies we have left we will be back to eating the dead once more." he continues as he finishes voicing his concerns waiting now for her judgment.

"We do need weapons and food supplies that we need for our organization to grow but we cannot risk endangering the rebellion, So I need you Robin to find out how to get our weapons but keep low and avoid fighting the slavers at all cost, anything that we can use for a weapon is welcome" She says to the man and with a small nod she turns to the rabbit morph "Teo I need you to find potential buildings that we can use to hide our supplies one for food and another for our weapons" She commands the rabbits morph after receiving a nod she then turns to her second in command Luke "I need you Luke to investigate the slavers and what they doing with our food." She orders Luke and with that she ends the council with this sentence "Keep low and stay away from trouble and all that haven't receive a order you follow through with the original plan and that is to recruit, now go." She says as they went up to the tavern and finally separate with one another.
Finally I'm done with my race

Type of Government: Clan empire

Description of Government:
All clans have a clan lord which they call the Dragon. As the strongest of them all, the Dragon ensures that his clan prospers from agricultural to military might, as well as oversees the development of the clan itself, directing research and priorities. Such can be carried out as long as he stays the leader, but once the Dragon has been found wanting or weak , he can be challenged by anyone who deems themselves capable of potentially succeeding him. Once defeated, only exile or death awaits him; but if he wins, not only will he stay in power but he will also gain more followers and favors from the clan itself. Once he acquires a certain amount of favors, it will be possible to challenge the nearby Dragons. Victory is rewarded by a follower (AKA the defeated Dragon). If he chooses to spare them, he will get his enemies’ clan and will proceed to the next which is the Dragon War chief.

Once War chief, he will be able to challenge the other dragons or officials of equal rank. Victory propels him while defeat lowers his territories, followers and favors. Once favors run out, he will lose the title of War chief, forcing him to start from square one. Yet if he continues to earn consecutive victories and get 10 clans under his rule, he will be able to challenge the strongest in that part of the world, the one they call the Dragon lord. Defeating the powerful Dragon lord gives him complete rule of that part of the world, while losing permanently makes him a follower of that lord.

Once a lord, he would be able to unite that continent into one empire that would in turn try to conquer the other parts of the world. If they succeed in capturing the world, he will be known as the Dragon Emperor, giving him complete rule of the planet and the ability to muster an armada in order to expand the territories of the empire. Once they are able to conquer enough planets the ruler will be known as the Legendary Dragon, the highest a Rarian rank can get.

Race: Rargarians (Beast men)- Rargarians are not only composed of one race or species; they are composed of different species. The commonly known races in the Rargarian empire are the lizard men, Animal Morphs, Halflings (crossbreeds, not to be confused with the Hobbits from LOTR) and the serpentine creatures that call themselves the NAGA, but the only thing that they have in common is that they are all eager for war.

Races of the Rarians that are still on the their home world

The Giants

-The Minotaurs: They have a reputation of being the toughest and stubborn Rarians the empire has to offer, towering an impressive height of 20 to 25 feet or a two-story building for an average adult, but some have been reported to have grown up to 30 feet or a three-story building. With their enormous strength and build, they make good engineers and architects in times of peace, but in times of war they will take up the very tools that shaped their civilization to the front lines, where they will soak up most of the damage. Despite this, they always manage to get the first strike. They are the sledge hammer of the empire.

-The Bears: They utilize their claws or their weapons to strike fear into their enemies, though they aren’t as useful during the day, as they usually sleep and don’t train.

-The Pandas: While the others use brute strength to win, the pandas use technique to win the day, preferring to fight in secluded and hard to get areas to get the upper hand. They are the archives or the historians of the Empire, keeping the knowledge and wisdom of the legendary Dragons.

-The Rabbit morphs: They are mostly the scientists and farmers of the Empire, experts in cultivating and maintaining the land. Because of this expertise, they provide most of the food the Empire needs. They are characterized as extremely agile and silent , and are often employed as assassins or saboteurs. They believe that there is more to strength than just brute strength, and as such, they are referred to as the daggers of the Empire.

-The Naga: The Naga are the rulers of the seas and the ones that provide the most meat of the Empire. They specialize in aquaculture, keeping the Empire well fed from the cunning snake morphs to the mythical tireless but few Krakens, while keeping the Empire supplied with fish. They have been said to be the makers of the once vast and unstoppable race of the Rarian empire, as well as the spears of the Rarian empire, due to their numbers and adept vigilance.

-The Dog Morphs and Cat Morphs: The dogs and the cat morphs are the most numerous and plentiful of all the Rarians in the world. While the dogs value brutish strength, the cats value skill to win the battle. They share a slight animosity with each other, however, when faced with a bigger force they are known to cooperate in defeating it, thus earning them the title as the Shield of the Empire.
Enslaved Rarians that are not in their home planet

-The Avians: The Avians are the bird race of the Empire; once the Elites that served the strongest clans, now reduced to slaves working on plantations in mountainous planets, moving cargo between continents or transporting heavy equipment into hard to reach places. They work to the brink of death and they desire only revenge.

-The Reptiles: The Reptiles were once known for their resilient and near endless strength working in the flooded mines and as experimental test subjects.

-Elephants and the Rhinos: These enormous beast were once the mace of the empire but now reduced to slave miners in asteroid belts.

-Deer morphs: Once the known as staff of the empire.

Demography: 20% Humans ,80% Rarians, but the Rarians multiply so quickly that this can drastically change in a few years

Religion: The Temple of the Dragon
The Rarians follow the teachings of the legendary Dragons of old, worshiping them, even training to be their followers for the day they join them in the afterlife. Their training is actually preparation for their final battle against the ones they call the gods.
The Temple of the Dragon teaches that all Rarians are the descendants of the mighty Dragons of old, and in order to avoid corrupting the strength of the Dragons, they won’t allow for weakness, frailness, and cowardice, even to the point of outright killing them in the spot if deem so.

Culture:
“Those that are weak must die, and all those that are strong are Rarian” is the common phrase that a Rarian must live by.
The culture of the Rarians is very militaristic, valuing only the strong. However, they still possess a culture outside of warfare, as some factions have said to be worshipping gods other than the temple of the dragon while others have their own beliefs on the legends of the dragon: traditions that define a member of a clan (rituals, coming of age, proving, challenges, festivals, architecture, food, etc.) as their culture can only be defined by one word and that is the word people.

Economy:
Renown coins: The primary currency of the Rarians there is the legendary, gold, silver, and tin.

-Legendary- the coin with the highest value. Worth a hundred gold coins

-Gold- is the second highest. Worth hundreds of silver coins

-Silver -the most common of all the coins, as silver can get you right about anything that you need to survive
-Tin- the lowest of all the coins. It is only used to get the barest necessities for one to survive their everyday life

Favors: favors are the secondary money and probably the most popular one. The Rarians use these to get necessities and equipment. Primary tattoos of their victories, or a souvenir that proves their exploits. is what a typical flavor would look like but there have been cases of vehicles, tapestries and palaces that have been used to be proof of favors owned by a person. This means that if a famous person wants bread, than he/she can get it by showing a proof of a famous battle he has been part of.

History:

Before the Empire came to be, the Rarians were nearly able to create the next great Empire led by Randrive the wise… but once the Emporium came, the Rarians where able to subjugate the first wave of humans as their near unlimited number proved too much for the Emporium soldiers to handle. This victory was short lived as the ships of the Emporium of Man descended, destroying all the Rarian cities and scattering their armies like shooting fish in barrel. The Rarians had no way of fighting those ships, and were reduced to vain cursing and vowing that they will have their revenge against the Emporium , and that the Rarians shall rise again.
Shattered and beaten, the Emporium of Man took most of the survivors as slaves, making them work for the Emporium. Most of the rabbits where placed in agricultural worlds, the Rhinos and Elephant morphs to large asteroid mining facilities, while the reptiles where sold as exotic pets or lab rats. Birds became personal slaves or hauling cargo for hard-to-get places, and the once proud Minotaurs were chained up, shackled and forced to participate in building, mining and hauling the Emporium cargo. The once proud people were shamefully broken.
While they took the other clans to other planets as slaves, they didn't spare the home world of the Rarians; turning half of the world into industrial complex and making them work in factories until the day they died in the midst of unrest. Those who were unlucky enough to continue living were imprisoned inside large underground mining facilities, forever doomed to mine for the Emporium’s engines of war.
With most of the planet controlled by the humans, there were still some spots that were owned by the last pockets of the last independent Rarian clans that were free from the control of Man. These unconquered spots were small, underdeveloped and weak, but if they were to be united by a leader then they would have a chance to free their planet from the invaders and possibly create the next great Empire.

Important characters (very important, your leader[s], your strategist, your spy master and any other important character IN DETAIL):
Karduke Dragon fist: leader of the Iron fist clan
Karduke is the leader of one of the last independent clans in their home world of Ram. He is a minotaur that is as big as a three-story building, and is one of the tallest of his race. Also a survivor, Karduke hates the Emporium and vows to return the Rarians to greatness. He is known for killing a dragon (A dragon-like creature in the world of Ram) with the sheer use of his fist. Nearly missing death by an inch, all for the greater good, he was patched up by Jake the hermit. The results of these incidents caused his iconic mechanical look. As most of his skin was burned up or torn off in the fight, Jake the hermit replaced most of Karduke’s skin with armor plating. Karduke also acquired a special weapon from his healer, an edgeless sword which he named Golok. With his clan almost ready to fight, he geared up to take back his planet from the invaders. Knowing from experience that a frontal attack would be suicide, he tried to ambush them where they couldn’t use their weapons effectively.

Jake the hermit: Head scientist
Jake the hermit is one the few rabbits that weren't caught by the slavers. His old age has saved him from their hands. After surviving countless wars and battles, Jake retired from warriorship and lived a life of isolation, inventing and improving all gear, weaponry and what is known as body tinkering (Bionic): replacing body parts with armor or a weapon. Only Karduke knows of his residence which is in the deep untamed Rm wilderness. Jake is stubborn and irritable when he is separated from his work.

Lulu the swift: Leader of the Hidden dagger
Lulu is the daughter of Jake the hermit. She leads the remnants of the rabbit morphs called as the silent dagger clan, and is known for her speed and agility. She tries to free the enslaved rabbit morphs that are chained up in small plantations outside the industrial complex of the emporium of mankind, and with calculating patience, she waits for the perfect time to strike.

Luke the brave: Lulu’s second in command
He was once the dragon of a rabbit morph clan but was enslaved. Saved by lulu, he vowed to follow her to the end of time as her follower. Fast, agile, and experienced, he prefers to lead the attack from a place the enemy wouldn’t expect where they would appear. Also a skilled weapon master, he can wield any melee weapon with great efficiently.

Both luke and lulu picture

Description of Military

Armies:

United

Dragon Raiders: They are the normal infantry of the Rarian Empire, mostly comprising of dog morphs, cat morphs and a few giants like the Minotaurs that lead the charge.

Sky Pierces: (Think of the ODST from Halo and the kinetic strike). They are infantry men that are both bombs and paratroopers falling from the skies. Once it makes impact, it creates a large crater or piece through enemy defenses. Then, the troops inside start to come out and start fighting, which are composed of the Elites and the most well equipped men. They will not stop until all of the enemies or all of them are dead.

Wall Breakers: Consisting of the Elite giants the Rarians have to offer , from the elephants to the Minotaurs, they are great at destroying enemy defenses.

Powder beggars: These Rarians excel at ranged combat; as the name suggests, they first got their name from the use of gunpowder weaponry.

Navy: All Rarian ships are made for ramming and boarding. Some possess guns, as their fleet is mostly composed by captured enemy ships. As they get more ships, they will be able to develop their own ships but as what they are now they won’t be able to create their own.

Technology: The Rarians as a race are quite primitive, in fact, they are the most primitive race that the Empire has ever encountered but they are not to be underestimated. Once they start acquiring your weapons or ships, they will make their own versions though they aren’t picky with what they get as long as it helps them.

Additional:
1) A tip: never act weak in front of a Rarian; it never ends well.
2) Overpopulation is a very big problem for the Rarians as they breed very quickly.
3) they call everyone a Rarian once they deem them strong
@Wildman13 Btw, a simple gauss HMG cam mow down your troops. No nned to spend expensive shells on you ;)

Hahahahahah looking forward to that and is my race approved now?
I got a suggestion. You say the planet of Ram is very green and fertile. Not every planet needs to be turned into an industrial powerhouse. The empire requires food too. In fact, if it can easily man 2000 corvettes & destroyers with 15 people each, its probably consuming quite a few tonnes of food each day. So thinking as an Imperial Govenor: Why invest in factories when you can become a granary for the Empire?

The clans would be forced to pay a tithe to the humans living in the cities (let's act really xenophobic here and say they demand 90% of every harvest). The humans feel safe in their walled off cities and can act all high-and mighty about their civilian lives. While the hordes can hate them for practically taking their food.

Rebellion would be simple: first a few tribes in far away regions (like mountains or amazon-like rainforests) could seize sending a tithe. Patrols to demand the payment could get slaughtered and there you have it! Snowball effect. Other tribes rally to the cause, the conflict starts to escalate. Reïnforcements are called in from space (cause yk, the empire's food supply is at stake).

Again, just a mere suggestion.
Legion02

I think that they would do that but I think exporting meat products and aqua-cultural products like lobsters would be much more profitable in terms of business.

Also most of the survivors were shipped off towards other worlds as slaves, like the rabbits who excels in maintain and working on the fields so they would mostly farm in plantations or regular farms while the much sturdier species would be more useful in mines and in hauling cargo.

The Rarians don't really care for food that much because they are not picky eaters, the only thing that matters to them is when is the next fight.

Seeing as the first wave of EOM soldiers where wiped out by the Rarians venturing into Rarian majority areas would be in no doubt be very unhealthy to the said person, and the only reason why the Rarians went underground in the first place is because of the EOM ships that wiped out their armies.

The Rarians were already ready to rebel in day one its just that the EOM ships are just too un-fair for them as the moment they rebel the EOM would just retreat back to their ships and from a safe distance gun them all down.

I liked your suggestion but it just that it isn't very Rarian for me. but seriously I liked it.
@Wildman13 Everything was conquered by the EOM, I can guarantee you that they made sure. The only exceptions are a few nebulas, namely those that the Kegran reside in.

I would also like to point out the 20% human population, which is fair in a CS sense, but this does mean that 20% is the top class of citizens. Meaning that they probably live in their own cities, and govern from there.

Which brings me to another point. How do you imagine the clan system as a working part of the Empire? Surely such a volatile chain can hardly be trusted by the EOM. Why didn't they replace it?

The rest is fine, but these thing worry me.

You have a point that the EOM would make sure that they would have secured everything, so it got me thinking how about this, The EOM turned the green planet of ram into a industrial world as most of the slaves are there, soon the once blue skies have now turned black, and the land no longer fertile, so farming is now useless, so if they got most of the surface under their control all of the remaining independent clans would retreat underground where they would be hidden from the EOM this would make sense as the only thing that can destroy them are the EOM's ships and a huge army.

I agree that the humans that are gonna live there is gonna segregate their cities from the barbaric Zenos also because they are gonna have lots of free labor and abundance of export that they make would in doubt make their cities economic juggernauts or prosperous.

The clan system only works for the independent clans that have survived to this day what I mean by empire are the old Rarian empires that once dominated the planet of Ram but as for the other slaves the ones that are in-charge of them are naturally their owners or the slavers that buy, sell and transports them to interested buyers as the Rarians enslaved or not will rather die than serve someone that haven't proven themselves.
@Liotrent Oh sorry about that let me edit it and thanks for pointing that out.
@Ryteb Pymeroce
As long as your not weak and as long as you can survive your first encountered.
