@SigmaAlright, I altered the format a bit because center-aligned paragraphs look awful. Also are italics really neccessary?
Another issue is to assume that a nation can only have one species or something which is unique to them. Quite the opposite IMO and the faction I chose will show that.
Actually I'll be using an extensively modified version of this sheet because otherwise my faction just cannot be described well enough. I think that format may be even preferable for other players but I let that be judged when I am done.

@Sigma
Well, my ideas are:
1.) Alien invaders with strange mindset though certainly not bland across the board.
2.) Interstellar Corporate participating in this war for mining rights and future profit.
3.) Grim, gritty human aliens from a death world planet whose sour experiences paint their outlook on life among others.
4.) Space Hungary just because

There are perhaps more but these are the most preferred choices to me right now.

As for writing NS, I can help you come up with one which is simple yet has sufficient detail for other players to form a basic impression on your faction and its abilities.
@SigmaSounds fun, actually.
Though I suppose we still need to write a typical NS, right?

I have several potential ideas so I'll see which fits the most here.

BTW
-The idea is that you do not develop a race or faction that is solely composed of super bland, unoriginal individuals who, for example, all are super honorable and love war. We would be looking at a mix of characters who are launched on missions in the campaign and they all feel different about it. Maybe you have a squad of characters who want to rebel? Maybe a group that wants to defect to another side? A dutiful selection of other characters? Who knows. You will have some veterans, some newbies.
While this is good and ambitious in the end all sci-fi factions are built around a certain theme. Of course like characters, decently written nations have multiple faces. But the way you wrote it may even imply more.
But yeah, the spirit of this idea is of course good.

@ClocktowerEchosWhat would you think about a territory held by invaders from space?
I am obviously thinking the Martians but the exact details will depend on what kind of players we have and how I'll make this fit to the setting.

Yay or Nay?
@OppositionJWelcome aboard!
We really need to breathe some more life into this game.
@HellishWafflePosted.
But with so few players I doubt we can get this game to start.
Any ideas how to kick this into higher gear?

TERRITORY

HISTORY
A long time ago the Mars civilization were living in their golden age, with their great technology dominating the entire planet. Massive rows of plants and factories spread over the Martian surface turning it into the red barren wastes we currently know. Yet the arrogance of the Martians also spelled their doom as their extensive industrialization was gradually killing Mars. To escape their fate Martians began crafting their plans for a massive invasion and colonization objective with their target being the planet they just called "Earth". For this purpose they build a colossal electromagnetic cannon to accelerate projectiles into space. Thus began the Martian invasion. Even with their small numbers their technology allowed Martians to dominate any opposition until they received terrible news from homeworld. Their grand project the space cannon had some unintended consequences to the planet's magnetic field. The cannon broke down and worse it soon lead to Mars becoming uninhabitable, murdering most of the Martian race. Left with the terrible news and the fact his tiny force of a few thousand were the only Martians left in the universe Legatus Keara-Shoale made a logical yet hard decision. He declared his holdings the new Sarmakth and began to rebuild their now lost civilization. It's been over a century since then. The Martian dominion on Earth kept growing and developing but they were still not ready to take on the rest of the Terrons. They were living in an age of transition, lording over the Terrons yet also working with them. The true rise of their many-tentacled dominion was still centuries away.

DEMOGRAPHICS
~15,000 Martians (dominant race)

~ 60 million Terrons (collective name used to refer to any sentient races native to this planet)

SOCIETY
Martian society starkly differs from that of other creatures who originate from this planet. Thanks to their telepathy communications and asexual reproduction the Martians put less importance to the individual than their whole community. Martians serve their community first and satisfy their wishes second. Social roles are assumed by Martians on pure practical basis which may even feel incomprehensible to Terrons. Even the almighty Legatus position is signed by Martians without the slightest hint of ambition or power games. Of course that doesn't mean Martians lack ambition. Quite the opposite, actually. Martians are arrogant, prideful and believe themselves superior to all species. Their desire is to eventually rule over the planet and prove they're the pinnacle of evolution. Martians look down on other races and just group them together as "Terrons". Though due to their precarious situation they got rid of their previous hardliner anti-Terron policies and desire to work together with them... at least until the Martians grow strong enough to dominate the whole planet. Being telepathic beings the Martians have no proper language and a century before they barely even had any written culture. Nowadays they adopted a variation of Latin and a hieroglyph-like letter system to make up for that lack. Morals wise Martians don't fully comprehend Terron emotions and for example they view murder with far less weight. On the other hand they understand fear and punish any loss of any Martian life with brutal slaughters.

Terrons living under Martian rule are technically considered slaves who are bound to do the bidding of their cephaloid overlords. In effect they live in thousands of smaller communities with their own culture and laws and under the oversight of only a few Martians. they have their own political systems, leaders, trade agreements and foreign relations in general. Some of these communities are also working for the Martians to mine their resources or do other deeds in their service though most settlements are left alone without any involvement on the Martian side. Another interesting note is that many of the communities culturally refer to the Martians as their gods and there are various religions founded in their name. Being blind to the ideas of mysticism the Martians neither denied nor promoted this belief, albeit they like the adoration and subservience from their Martian-fearing slaves.

MILITARY
Being oppressive invaders ruling the lands by force the Martians are highly militarized. In effect any matured Martian is capable of fighting in war. Martian military doctrine is drastically different from other nations' which focuses on soldiers. Martians use various warmachines in battle and use terror methods to deter any resistance. Since Mars didn't have large bodies of water the Martians possess no navy, neither they feels a need for it.
Weaponry

Vehicles
@HellishWaffleI think the best comparison is perhaps to think of the Martians as the steampunk equivalent of the Goa'uld from Stargate. Even though there are tons of differences but in a way their style is still somewhat similar.

BTW, am I cleared to post this on the characters page?
@HellishWaffleAlright, this is much closer to a proper profile. What do you think?
