Don't walk on some highly deadly grass on your way out.
And who said I was leaving, arse?
I don't think that's helping Samebito. Personally, I liked your description of the FTL.
Yeah, well, Duck and Samebito doesn't, and that seems to be all that matters.
I'm sorry. It's obvious that I am not as welcome as I thought. Thank you, Monkey for being fairer and more respectable than the others. Thank you KeyGuy, for being generally cool and friendly.
Congratulations, you're all being asses to me. A) I'm not Rogue, try to remember that. B) Why not have a Draconian fleet get ambushed, and as they warp away, accidentally send their ambushers to an unknown location? I think that would make a pretty good start of a smaller, parallel story. If they jumped to a more distant location, you may find yourself lost. C) Duck, how are you infinitely focusing on the story? You're endlessly starting wars and cling to victory like tar on a road. KeyGuy has most definitely given us the evidence to prove that you are, in fact, in it just as much to win as you are to write a story. A scout dies; seconds later, an entire fleet arrives, pinpoints the presumed enemy in moments, and launches a small invasion, refusing to give up even after two or three people attack you. D) I wanted something, even if it was completely and totally nonlethal, that I could use so I wouldn't be completely and totally unprotected. I'm so fucking sorry that my FTL is too different from everyone else, I'm so sorry for at least trying to get SOME kind of attention, and not spend the entire roleplay ignored, just as i was with the ever-doing-nothing Supremes. Might I remind you, Duck, you INVITED ME TO BE THE DRACONIANS. I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that someone might actually LOOK at me. But no- it appears you just wanted to hate on me in the place of Rogue, with friends to help you justify it. Of course, you could just say, "Oh, that's an interesting concept," or at least, "Well, let's just go with regular FTL okay? Those invy Aeons won't do THAT much irreversible damage, ok?"
Aw, come on, it wouldn't be that bad.
For who?
Umm....everyone, yeah that's it. It wouldn't be bad for everyone. Trust me.
Rogue tried to make an OP Draconian empire take care of itself, and everyone still hated on him for having the Dracs (Odd since everyone was fine at first). That's a good bit of why he left- not just because it moved to RPG, but because he didn't feel welcome. Why the sudden allowance of an OP badguy enemy when a more realistic, more destructible one was already hated on? Kinda unfair- biased.
And hey, this is a way to keep the Draconians alive against the Aeon Brood. The only way I see that could kill them is a massive antimatter explosion. Anything made of matter that gets too close is turned into energy and consumed; anything made of energy that gets too close is turned into energy and consumed. The Draconians don't have any weapons to combat them. This is like having a crane to pick up the deathmech and dump it far enough away from my people to run away.
So you...portal them to death? Or to escape? Another way to solve the Aeon problem is by letting me handle it. I promise everything will turn out fine.
No. If I plot a certain course, then I can open it and they'll just appear too far behind me to do any damage. or, alternatively, right into a minefield, but they'd probably just suck it all up
Wilson you are tredding a fine line...

Also, the aeon absorb energy and matter, no? See my post's explanation on Drac ftl
Okay, vortexes or something? Still not seeing it. Though for the record, the Brood converts matter and energy to their preferred form of mana, which they then consume. A slight but noteworthy difference.
It's two-way When they create the 'portal' to hyperspace, it appears in front of them, but unlike most people's, it isn't just facing them. When they set coordinates, it's like making a bridge from the spot right in front of them, to wherever they need to go, provided there aren't any trees or rocks (planets and the like) in the way. But they can only get on from that side- if someone were on the exact opposite side, and were facing the Draconian ship when it made the portal, then it would work similarly to this, blue being Draconian, red being whoever. Arrows mean which way you enter their portal; [o] means where you come out. )> or <( are the ships. [o] . . . . )> . . . . -> | <- . . . . <( . . . . [o]
Dragons were always described as having just naturally strong hides, except for their underbelly. Now, being dragon lords, it is entirely possible to say magic could come into play. I'm not saying it's a bad idea you've got. Just that it's a little confusing/tough to keep up with.
Think minecraft: Gold shiny and expensive, but not good for using. Iron/Steel strong and durable, but not exactly a sign of wealth.
