Anyway, so let's say that at this point the Aeon Brood has progressed to 5% of the distance from their entry point to the galactic core (about 5000 lightyears), and that they have consumed 8e-10 of the entire galaxy (about 700 stars). There's really no sense in me continually updating with, "Yes, the Brood is still eating things," so let's say that it's a constant progress, regardless of if I'm posting or not. Let's also note that this is an exponential process. For every system that is devoured, enough mana is harvested to birth a Brood large enough to devour three other systems. The longer they are ignored, the harder they will be to stop.
Why are you telling us this? Most of us can't do anything to the creatures that eat our weapons and shields.
A cold front moved in! After lunch today, you could walk around outside without needing a thick shirt After 3 today, you couldn't walk around outside without needing a third jacket I had to change a tire. The tire was completely dead. The tire was also on the side of the pickup that was downhill- the driver's side was higher than the passenger's, and I had to change the front passenger's I had a great deal of trouble It's blowing wind at 40 mph It's cold af And I had to spend an hour or more changing that goddamn tire But goddamn it, I got it done I'm going to go play War Thunder now and reward my efforts with ice cream (because logic)
A totally reasonable reward. We got pounded with snow here. It's been in at least the teens all day. I have to wear my coat inside because I'm fairly certain it's gotten way colder since I got here.
:oooo Me: never goes outside weather: sudden snowstorm for three days Me: goes outside a dozen tiems I luv snow

I should probably post but the empty, completely innocent and naked Runa (whose name I have no idea to make my character come to the conclusion of, since there's not any sort of runes or anything) is kinda, idk, not exactly as progressive for a plot as I was hoping? Vala'Keer won't be able to teach her anything of importance within a short amount of time, nor would she be any use in combat or the like, and since she's not human, she probably doesn't know anything anyways, nor would there be a reason to take out hate on her. Vala'Keer has no reason to pay attention to her at all, besides the fact that she's a curiosity.
Finished a post; lost the original
Tenator stalked along the road, having shifted into dragon form once he sensed the powerful wards that kept the castle hidden. His three guards were, as well, shifted, though they looked noticeably different from his distinctive figure. Unlike most dragons, he had three rows of rear-leaning spikes that trailed the top of his spine, and either side of it. Instead of the usual dragon snout, he had the somewhat distinctive, hard-point beak-ish mouth, without real teeth. The sides of his mouth did the cutting, with a sort of bone-scale hybrid making up the edges of his mouth. The acids in his stomach break down meat and bone faster than any other, another trait that goes hand-in-hand with his appearance differences. But other than that, he was still a normal dragon. Being an aged dragon, at least compared to the current days' dragons, his size and bulk was enough to make the ground shudder slightly. Combined with three other, if smaller, dragons stepping in time to his own, the trees nearby kept up a constant, soft fall of leaves. As he approached the gates, the draconian (Tenator's term for dragons in human form) guards signaled others, and the large, dragon-sized portcullis rose into the gatehouse, the gates behind it slowly being pulled open by more guards. Tenator was pleased; it appeared that the oh-so-great king-of-dragons took security seriously. Dragons in human form were, no doubt, formidable opponents, when compared to regular human soldiers. Inside, Tenator couldn't help but be impressed- such a large collection of buildings and people, the primary roads all being large enough to fit himself and his three guards without any trouble. His distinctive features recognized, many dragons- draconian or dragon form alike- turned to watch him stride through into their city. He kept his head high; his wings slightly unfurled, just enough to give his wings some breathing room, and to make himself appear somewhat larger and more impressive. A dragon had to keep up with his ego, after all, and his gleaming, thick scale certainly spoke of wealth. Turning to one of the gate guards, he motioned towards the castle, and ordered him, voice rumbling, "Alert the Dragon King that the Water Lord has arrived." He watched the draconian hurry towards the castle, after bowing and responding with a "Right away, sir." It seemed human customs had come over into their people. The thought made his scales shift uneasily, and a growl to jump from his chest. Letting the draconian have a head start, he continued on his way through the main road. He could have flown, of course, or come from the water, but he wanted all the dragons to know he had arrived. As was the way of the dragon- keep the ego high and pillage all the inferior biped races.
My main concern is that you will spam it as you usually do with these things. It's actually a neat system, yet I am just supicious that you might use it to get away easily and never suffer any damage.
And there- you're assuming that I'm just going to use it all over the place, to get away with whatever I want. The only time they'll even think about it is after they ran away.
Then why bother trusting him again if he continually lets you down in this regard?
Stop talking- I hadn't even wanted to join in the first place. I came because he invited me, so blame him, not me.
I love this OOC.
You need to stop talking, at least until you actually make an app. I wrote mine up in half an hour; you're taking, what, one? Or two? Probably two weeks.
I don't think that's helping Samebito. Personally, I liked your description of the FTL.
Yeah, well, Duck and Samebito doesn't, and that seems to be all that matters.
I also like your FTL, mainly since I also use a portal system rather than conventional hyperspace drives. But, while I see some potential, it doesn't seem like a very useful tool for evading the Aeon completely. As Durandal's meetings with them show, the Aeon in force tend to make ships start falling apart. Plus I doubt portals could be made quick enough to prevent a fleet from being at least mostly wiped out.
Draconians are flying; Aeon appear in front of them. Draconian see themselves outnumbered; the respected military commander Vala'Keer warns of their all-destroying abilities. Draconians activate hyperspace drives; in doing so, more ships are saved than lost because the Aeon went through the opposite side.
When exactly did C happen...? And my main concern was this comment here
In my desire to demonstrate the endgame of the Aeon Brood, without actually killing everyone in the RP, I may over the next few posts be drawing up a look into the distant past, in a galaxy far away.
I made sure to plant the seeds to escape any confrontation of the Aeon Brood without losing everyone. Read my posts carefully; I have left all that you need to know to realize the Draconians can sorta destroy you.
This implies you have somehow come up with a method to totally destroy the Aeon.
Sorry- though if the person were wanting to, they could say that they hit the atmosphere of a planet and was destroyed, due to the nature of Draconian FTL. I already did a demostration of that, no? And I was mistaken- and you were not thinking. If FTL kills, no one would be anywhere. No, it would just place them away from the Draconians. Like in Portal; sticking a portal under one person and resulting in that person being too far away to damage you. Or something.
Hey, don't be an ass, first. I've unintentionally doubleposted multiple times, and have not been called out by Duck for it. If he were to now, then I would do my best to stop it.
