AU8 Avenger that can be bought and slowly repurposed?
Remote drone controls?
Drone launchers?
Drones?
3-D holographic mapping (this would have to be heavy on CPU and weight, otherwise EVERYONE could have it and that'd defeat the purpose of a combat controller... >.>)?

Oooooooh, 30mm Phalanx CIWS gun, modified for mech use?

I am aware that we teleported, I'm not dull or stupid. The thing is is that you just say that we teleported- did we go to our rooms? A random street? The mall? Do we just go wherever, since you have specified practically nothing?

And also, I don't know if it's just me, but you're Rule #7 makes absolutely no sense.
@Aisling
By the way- WHERE did we teleport to?

You go on about how you don't want us to miss anythin, and yet you don't even... give us everything we need to know. Counterproductive, no?

Seriously, we can read perfectly damn fine. We don't need it thrown in our face.

I'm currently struggling to read the massive-as-crap text in the first IC post, and not get so aggravated that I forget what I'm supposed to be responding to, and where I'm supposed to be at.
I don't even know what's going on.

Yup! The OSU love their reactive armor, actually.

What about aluminum alloys?
A lighter, maybe not quite as strong as steel metal that's more expensive, but you can bulk up a bit more with it to be more maneuverable and even more protected than before?
Probably gonna be over three times as expensive tho XD

However, we should also keep in mind that most FRAMEs we're using are secondhand and refurbished, while the Dreqs are in use by professional military personnel. They are pretty cheap, in terms of cost, but there are plenty of reasons why the OSU use it as their general-purpose FRAME!
Competition within the OSU is next to nonexistent - with the state controlling the businesses, they can pick and choose who will manufacture what and work with their suppliers to get the best bang for their buck.

True
Will we be able to, later, add more armor plating? reactive armor?
