Short bio

Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa Devin has had a life full of adventure. His family is completely muggle born save for his great great great great grandfather. Needless to say everyone was surprised, but thankfully supportive. A magical school in South Africa helped with bringing David into the world of magic. After seven years with a specialty in Care for Magical Creatures Devin left to work for the magical community in Africa.

During his time in Africa Devin worked with both muggle NGO’s and the International Magical Creature Protection group. He was able to travel all over Africa protecting both muggle and magical creatures from greedy poachers. He loved his work, but found it depressing that no matter how hard he worked the job wasn’t seeing any results other than temporary.

While traveling for a conference Devin met the former Care For Magical Creatures for Hogwarts. The immediately hit it off and after some convincing the two decided they would conduct a career swap. The change in pace is something Devin is excited for and after getting the green light from the IMCP and Hogwarts he packed his things and began a summer trip traveling slowly towards Hogwarts.

Personality

Friendly, adaptable, action-oriented. A "Doer" who can be often focused on immediate results. He lives in the here-and-now, absolutely a risk-takers who lives a fast-paced lifestyle. Can grow impatient with long explanations. Extremely loyal to his peers, but not usually respectful of laws and rules if they get in the way of getting things done. Great people skills.

Born to a warlock father and muggle mother Oliver has always had one foot in each worlds. His parents are both very proud of their heritage and at times would argue that the other was dragging Oliver too deep into the other ones world. Thankfully for them he had quickly fallen in love with both and has since made large steps towards remaining connected to both worlds.

At a young age Oliver was told he could select which education program he would want to persue. Instead of picking he studied hard and after some labor found success in both muggle summer programs and Hogwarts. His success in both allowed him the open to study abroad making it possible for him to study at a muggle language program in Rome while at the same time Oliver was accepted into an accelerated Alchemy course within the Vatican. Since then he has found his interests moving from one study to the next.

With him now in his 7th year Oliver promised his parents that he would remain at home after returning from a program study in South Africa. Returning to Hogwarts as a 7th year he is somewhat nervous; however, with his confidence he isn’t worried about meeting old people as he is interested in meeting new people. He is also the Head Boy for Ravenclaw giving him a heightened responsibility.

Oliver is enthusiastic, idealistic, and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests him. Has great people skills. Driven with a need to live life in accordance with his inner values. Easily excited by new ideas, but often bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

I would like to make a character who has the goal of traveling the world both magical and muggle. Not really sure where to put them, but it would be a really laid back person. I was thinking either a Ravenclaw or a Hufflepuff. I also hope for the character to be a 7th year after he spent his sixth year studying abroad. Any help, ideas or assistance in this would be great.

Hogwarts roleplay?

I will be doing a Hufflepuff with goals of world travel as his next step after school. I have him also being a prefect as well. He isn't going to be an airhead, but more along the lines of a low stress enjoy the current situation sort of personality type.
