Sorry. I do really like Mo. I wish you wouldn't go, but her character simply can't be ignored. She wouldn't "walk away," and her presence is a HUGE tide-turner for the battlefield. Even if somebody wanted to play her, I know for a fact they are not going to love her as much as you did and would not play her very well or often as needed. She therefore has to die. :/
I'll make another post later to promote the story, but i needed to get that feels post in first. Also, waiting on a reply from Akje confirming that he really, really, really wants to keep playing Mo.

Just previous to the attack on the bunker...

The prisoner's room was empty, dark, and quiet. Magnus had extracted all the pertinent information the human's mind had to divulge and then some. He and the Native American oldblood moved on to continue their preparations as daylight reigned above, having no further use for the mere mortal in the chair. After some time, the door to Martin's room opened once again, and a light flickered on at the flip of a switch. Martin would still have been drugged, possibly barely conscious. Suddenly, he would feel his ropes cut and the blindfold removed from his eyes. A white hand placed a bottle of water and a wrapped sandwich on the small table. In his foresight, Mithias had collected them from the Soldier base. He stood silently watching, waiting for Martin to come to, and as he did, the vampire exhaled a sigh of relief.

"Food and water." Mithias said calmly. "The drugs will wear off, and you will need them. And you will need this." The vampire also placed a handgun on the table. He began speaking, more to himself than anything, not fully knowing how much the human was able to hear or understand. "There's no reason that you should die, Martin. I heard what you said about humanity destroying itself and what you believe about vampires." Mithias took a few steps to the other chair and sat down as he considered things. He looked at the wrecked human with sympathy. Centuries of watching his descendents and protecting humans had ingrained a sense of care in Mithias. Even being nearly killed by Kami hadn't taken it from him. It was still there.

Leaning back, Mithias went on, letting his sight drift to the corner of the room. "Magnus, wants vampires to dominate the world. He would devour and enslave all your kind, believing humans to be nothing more than cattle to feed upon. So detached from humanity he is. The ancient Mohowauuk also hates humans. She is right to blame them for the destruction of the planet. She sees them as vermin, a plague, a species out of control, but also a species unworthy of the gifts they have been given. She sees humans as only animals, pathetic, and deserving of punishment." Mithias seemed troubled by this and pressed his fingers into his forehead and closed his eyes. Then he sighed and dropped his hand, yellow eyes seeming so humanlike for a moment. "I used to believe they were wrong. Over a century ago, I started the Soldier organization. I believed there was a way to coexist, and I fought to maintain that balance. Now, I see that it is, and always was, impossible. No matter how many lives I take or years of service I give, they will always want me dead. The truth is subvertive in the human heart." The vampire looked weary as he returned his focus to Martin. "Vampires do not deserve to die for our need. We are gods, Martin, dark gods. But we must act like gods. If we abuse our power, then we are no better than humans."

"I fight for the right to survive, for myself, and for those I love. I have family among the vampires now, a brother, a child, and they need me. I have come to embrace the night and accept my gift. I am no longer human, and I will not see my kind wiped from the face of the Earth."

Mithias laced his fingers in his lap with a resolved expression. Martin was really in no condition to say much, so a response was not expected. It simply feel good to get that off his chest. "Forgive me. I'll leave you to your recovery." He got up and headed for the door, pausing once more. "I do hope you live, Martin. The world could use more like you." Mithias left to join the others.
Yay school!
How do I treat an "attempt to heal" roll?
normally they don't tend to resist healing...

I suppose you could slip with the scalpel or something. lol
"Dyleon..." The will of Sekaulla did not take the form of words, but of feeling, like knowledge. "You are mine. You heed not the servants of other gods, not even Darko. ... You have fed me well my champion, and I am sated, for now. Thus, I command you to return to rest. Die once again for me, show the world your obedience to my will and mock this foolish wraith. Demonstrate to me your faith that I will make you rise again, forever. sacrifice yourself. I yet have plans for you." The goddess' will, her voice, was irresistible to her mortal worshipper.

Both blades flaming with magic, Chakan rode the back of the beast's haunches as it crashed, one head missing, to the ground. Blood poured forth from the severed neck as a hellhound, a cerberus, guardian of the underworld was maliciously slain. Chakan cared not for the proper servants of the god of death. She hated them, all of them.

Blades still quietly flickering orange heat, she lowered her head until the brim of her hat hid her glowing eyes, and she advanced at a walk deeper into the dark, cave-like portal. Her deal with Death was that she would be given immortality if she beat him in single armed combat, which she, unlike any other mortal being, had accomplished, but now she couldn't escape from her reward of eternal life. The only opportunity thus far offered, was that she hunt and destroy all evil, and only when all evil had been eliminated from the mortal planes would she be permitted rest. This effectively damned her for eternity, and she was pissed.

But the god, Darko, had called, and if he called her, then she might get the chance to cut his divine head from his shoulders. That was her cute mortal dream, much to her god's twisted amusement. Chakan continued into the brink of Hades, at the river Styx. Narrowing her eyes, she awaited the mysterious ferryman.

Having been thrown off by Drac, Mithias found himself resuming consciousness at the foot of some ice pillar not far from the battle. The vampire was sorely weakened, blood starved, and physically and emotionally taxed. He blinked as an indescribable burst of power came from Bob that should have killed everyone there, but it didn't. Somehow, Drac took it full force and died, giving his spirit to stabilize the very being he had just tried to destroy. Mithias didn't realize it initially, but eventually, he would figure out that Drac had chosen to sacrifice himself rather than inadvertently kill Bob's little girl. Well... not that Drac wasn't going to die anyway.

But in short, Mithias also lived, although he had just watched himself die in Alucard, had his beloved soulmate torn from his body, Bob got gruesomly stabbed to death, and his supposed 'friend' Drac also died in the span of a handful of minutes. Down on the ice, Mithias trembled, sorely disturbed from it all. As fucked up as it was, Mithias couldn't deny his gratitude that Bob, fickle son-of-a-bitch or not, had lived.

Something would always try to get you, Bob had effectively said. The old fey sincerely did like him, at least for the present time and dimension, and he had given the vampire sincere advice. "It's true." Mithias whispered to himself, getting up carefully. Alucard had found him out of nowhere. Even Drac, who he had sympathized with and allied with, father of his best pal Bug, had turned unexpectedly, trying to kill Bob. Mithias unpleasantly recalled Kami incinerating him over and over in laughter, and he narrowed his eyes. Beings in the multiverses were simply insane. From now on, he vowed to commit himself to getting stronger. He should be capable of following in Tsukune's footsteps, or even surpassing them, if he worked hard at it. Mithias inwardly mirrored Alucard's resolve. He would hone himself into a weapon, building his speed, strength, healing, and he'd get the Jiguntou back.

Placing a hand over his heart, ahh he missed Tsukune badly. Aono had told him that he would know what to do when the time came. Perhaps melding with Alucard and negating his fire-wings was jsut that. He had given Bob the opening he needed to destroy the most terrible Omegan fiend.

Speaking of Bob, he had left behind a part of himself, his daughter. Mithias realized he had begun staring at her as she was waking up from her forced slumber. He was tired, uncoordinated, and so thirsty...

He looked away quickly. "Damn there must be some kind of warm blooded life on this planet." He spoke hushed to himself, not expecting the girl to hear. But all he saw before him were the freezing corpses of dragons, and a few Ewoks, and a deep layer of bare metal below the ice at his feet. He needed to get out of here, if only to sustain himself. His thirst had returned. Once that could be sated, be could begin serious training.

He glanced behind again to see how the girl was doing. She wasn't hurt, which was a bloody miracle. Any daughter of Bob should certainly have some kind of magic or some form of travel. If he could make friends with her, without her pulse driving him nuts, she might be able to help him. Mithias coughed awkwardly.
Hank just went through a realization that he is an ass, He killed about a dozen people, and he finally became the monster he has been trying to kill for years.

Awwah. I will help redeem him, vampire style.

In other news, I am home.
