The laser hits Mithias and leaves a small burn, but the trudging vampire doesn't react. All beings around him begin to feel the effects of his anti-psychic power, as it begins to nullify and tear away any and all forces that seem to be currently shielding them from the madness of the warp storm, loosening their minds dangerously. Voices that they knew hadn't been there before began to creep into the edges of their perception. They were getting louder, beginning to form words, terrifying words of doubt and dread. Were they real?

The soldier that had fired at Mithias suddenly grabs his head and falls to his knees. He screams and his body begins to shaken and tremble. Every breath he takes is another scream, until he simply can't breathe fast enough and violently transforms in his torture. Mithias, the incarnation of the void itself walks by, raising his one hand at whatever the fuck stood between him and Valentus. That whatever happened to be David. David was engulfed in fire.

As David fought off the flames, the storm seemed to surge, as if it had found a new champion, and the daemon in the vicinity strangely began to gather. A psychic assault welled up within the being of the dying vampire, aiming at Valentus. It pierced his mind, wrestled with his concentration, threw off his telekinesis and made him just begin to feel fear. Being anywhere around Mithias was a weakness against the insanity. The warp, the end itself, was unstoppable.
I do enjoy the memes. I'm contemplating a first post.
Name: Mithias
Appearance:

Species/Strain: Undead vamp

Phase of Infection: n/a

Personality: Intelligent, quiet, curious, an investigator, a defender, not prideful. Trying to survive in a confusing world long enough to discover why things are the way they are. Fairly pessimistic about humans, as in he expects them to be a lot like close-minded greedy animals. Some aren't so bad. He has abandoned his human faith in favor of an openness to truth, whatever it may be.

Abilities: Shares the undead vampire trait of psychic communication with other vampires, but Mithias has the unique ability to make himself psychically immune and invisible to other vampires' psychic detection and influence. He can ward them out. Most impressive, he has the unique ability to harvest heat energy from his Obscurum Sanguis. The infection itself generates a lot of energy to animate a otherwise "dead" body. Mithias' strain can focus that energy, lighting his blood on fire in his hands. He can burn something by touch, throw a flame, and even prevent himself from burning by redirecting the heat. There is a limit to this power of course.

Skills: swords, mostly dual-wielding. The whip, bolas, horse riding, driving cars and planes. archery, basic firearms. knowledge of modern finance, government, human psychology, judeo-christian studies, biology and genetics - particularly understanding of Obscurum Sanguis, chemistry - particularly knowledge of explosives, basic computer operation and communication.

Gear: Mithias has a house. It's a nice house, with a security system, a library, a garage, and of course a secret underground area for special-item storage in the basement. He has a bike, a car, and he maintains all this under the guise of some rich old human name with of course unreported savings in foreign accounts. He keeps his main home off the radar and does travel. He probably has stashed away all kinds of weapons from over the years. He finds swords more reliable and respect worthy than guns.

Background: As usual, Mithias was a knight, one of the last knights of the time of the crusades. He was a very obedient, god-fearing man, who chased away the servants of Satan from the realm. He was merciful and kind and very innocent, until his people turned on him and threatened his family.

His young wife, Evelyn, was arrested and imprisoned in a ploy to force Mithias to turn himself in and confess to heresy. Mithias was desperate and turned to a vampire for help. He was turned, then rescued his wife. Being a naive fledgling and clueless about how vampirism worked, he attempted to turn Evelyn, but it didn't work. He also couldn't bring himself to kill her once he learned, through the psychic blood bond, that she was already pregnant. Fortunately, the attempt didn't kill her, but the baby was born with psychic powers. Unfortunately, Evelyn died in childbirth and did not hence become a vampire. The child, Damien, found a decent home under the care of mother Luna at a church orphanage. What role Mithias played in his raising is a mystery lost to time. Damien Varomere alone was the only human to ever truly be gifted with psychic powers.

In modern times, Mithias is fascinated with the progress of science and understanding. He funds a research organization directed at uncovering the source of vampirism and lycanism. He hunts rabid, devolved Draculan vampires and werewolves when they pop up. He doesn't approve of the abuse of humans and will stand up to another vampire that does this, possibly resulting in a fight or a hunt.

Like a fucking bad ass.

Bring it, son.
@Noxious
You see, it's a good thing I posted this character in the oc, because it allowed people to inform me that they do not like him. The cs is also pm'd to Nox, so that rule actually is followed. As for why I made a human, it was strictly for the benefit of the gm and players to increase the reasons for interacting between characters. I intentionally made a background that put him at risk for becoming a thrall, because I would like to try playing that. Thralls of vampires are allowed, I believe. Nox can correct me if I am a wrong. Personally, I love vampires, but I play them all the time. I was going for being a little different.
None the less, I am very put off by your prejudice against me and will be leaving. The loss is yours. Apologies to Nox.

I think you need to read the OOC because I don't think you did.

I read everything. What is that so hard to believe? I am honestly not sure I want to get involved in an rp if this is the way people are going to act.
Also, this RP is about vampires. Just so you know.

I did mention them in my CS.

I'm sorry if my independent thinking was offensive.
I will move it there when it is approved. I think it's best if people can see what I intend to make, then they can better plan connections between us, like I did.
@Wraithblade6 I was thinking of making him Gabrellan or however you spell it and changing him up a bit, cause I wanted him to still have psychic powers/actual powers.

I'm thinking of keeping his claws and general stealhiness and giving him hallucinaginic/poisonous breath, maybe slightly acidic if possible..dunno.

Can werewolves have psychic-ish powers? Or..

Well, it seems only Gabriellan vamps have the psychic powers, and any such telepathy can only work between those that bear Gabriellan blood. So you can't speak to a normal human's mind or to a Draculan vampire or a WW. You might be able to use your cellular Obscurum Sanguis communication mechanism to do other neat shit though, like I have Mithias generating heat. You definitely would be physically weaker than the Draculans and the WW's, and also, poison seems to be more of a Draculan thing. Most of their powers are kind of biological, kinda like mutant powers in x-men, I think. Plus, they can heal rapidly.

I suppose you could stay Gabriellan and just have your O.S. be able to poison your targets, maybe cause hallucinations or death. Based on what I heard from Wiz, that would probably be ok.
