This is where the second prong of this ability comes in. As long as Lára has seen the weapon before, she can conjure it using the magic of Freyja. It must be made out of an actual material however. It does not need to be the same material as the final product. For example a simple branch can be turned into an elegant spear fairly simply. However said branch would have to be big enough to fully cover the area of the spear she is making. This is the abilities largest inconvenience. It is, essentially, transmutation.

Typical Clothing

Lára can commonly be found wearing a plethora of superhero tank tops, their insignias gracing the front of the around the chest. She typically cycles between those and her 90-00s alternative rock band tank tops. These can range anywhere from The Ramones to Superman and it can be reasonably estimated she has nearly fifty different tank tops like this. She prefers to wear tank tops due to how easy it is to move around in them.

Likewise, she commonly wears shorts that reach halfway between her upper and mid-thigh. In order to easily and freely move around and avoid being constrained in any way. Other than that she is very limited in her wardrobe and in fact knows very little about clothes. While she may sometimes wear the occasional ornamental dress from time to time, as Freyja has gifted her a few she doesn’t really have an in between of those outfits. She is either completely casual or not at all.

History:

Growing up in Reykjavik Lára found her life to be always on the border of enticing. It was just not enough. Feeling like there was something missing for the entirety of it. Her father was a rather simple man, he worked a horse farm just outside the main Cityscape. She was never told how he met Freyja, or how he managed to bed the goddess, but by the time she discovered her true lineage he would simply wave it off, and tell her that life was not always as simple as it seemed. Whatever that meant.

She did at one point find an old spear in the attic once, a truly ornate thing. But she figured the only way he'd ever actually tell her about it was if he was loaded one night. It probably wasn't the most likely situation to arise. The man was only ever drunk for about twenty minutes a night. Right before he passed out unconscious after a long day's work. So she figured she'd just have to go and meet her mother.

After a long day and a night of slightly illegal underage drinking Lára made her way to a shrine that was under construction in Reykjavik but found herself in an alley instead. She was a fourteen year old girl, cold, alone and she had no idea what to do. So her mother picked her ass up and off the ground and showed her around the city. From that point forward, Freyja wasn’t a goddess – she was mum.

Freyja taught Lára how to fight, most importantly, how to harness her abilities that had been lying just beneath the skin her entire life. Lára found that she had hobbies now, and while the typical hobby of a sixteen year old girl wasn’t fisticuffs she found it to be quite amusing really. And her interest in the divine grew more and more with each day. She felt as though she could swallow up every single novel that the library had on the Vikings and their beliefs because, in that moment, they all became true. Every last one of them. It was truly fascinating.

By the age of 22 Freyja decided that Lára had learned enough from her and it was her time to be taught by other demigods. To learn things one can only learn by coexisting with others. So she set off for the United States of America.

Appearance:

Lára has long Orangeish, Redish hair that curls down just under her shoulder blades, though she typically wears it in front of her shoulder and down her chest. Her face is adorned with freckles that cover primarily her cheeks, nose and forehead although a few reach down to her collar. Her eyes are a slightly orange hue of brown and she has a rather fit build.

She stands around five feet and five inches, a slightly above average height for her age. She has a toned muscular figure from working out consistently and fighting, as such she is constantly sporting bruises either on her sides, her legs or her face. Sometimes all of the above. She is commonly seen wearing headphones, seeing as she is typically listening to her music and in her world in general.

Powers:

Innate Telumkinesis & Weapon Conjuring:

Freyja is a goddess who has domains in many different things. Two of those things, are magic and battle. It seems Lára has the innate ability to wield nearly any weapon as if she was a master. However, this is limited to if she is holding said weapon. This is important as, if she is fighting someone she is no master in the weapon they are using – unless they are using the exact same weapon.

This is where the second prong of this ability comes in. As long as Lára has seen the weapon before, she can conjure it using the magic of Freyja. It must be made out of an actual material however. Typically she rotates between a spear, a sword and a bow. However, due to Freyja’s blood Lára is able to fight very well in hand to hand combat. However, she must focus on hand to hand combat much more than any other type of combat due to the fact that she doesn’t hold her fists. Thusly, breaking her focus will result in her losing her ability to adequately fight in a hand to hand situation.

Personality:

For a daughter of the goddess of love, Lára finds a certain mysticism in it. While many daughters and sons of Freyja, Cupid, Aphrodite stop believing in love and it’s power – Lára found herself more and more entangled in its mystery. She finds that because of her limitations, her inability to actually create or manipulate love, – it is something that transcends even demigods. She believes that love is on a divine plane of its own. As this is the case she holds her mother to the highest regard, as the one who commands love itself, and has often spent many a night speaking with her about it, sometimes on the phone, sometimes in person.

Which is one of the many reason that she chooses not to believe that she will ever feel it. She knows just too little about it and thusly stopped caring about finding her idea of love a long time ago. This tied with the fact that she is a demigod in the domain of love has found her to be typically very forward when it comes to romantic advances. She is used to making the first move, there’s no doubt about it. This can be reversed when she is not the one to make the first move. When she is on the back foot, she can actually be rather flustered, but once she has been given a moment to catch that footing she will resume her hunt just as if she were the one who instigated the situation.

She loves a good fight as well, while she may not be as strong as some Greek demigods – as their parents tend to hold one more specific domain as opposed to her own mother who holds many, she does have the ingenuity of Freyja. She is always looking for a way around a situation, and sizes up almost everyone she meets. She has been known to sneak off to illegal bare-knuckle brawls and fight herself through the night, always betting on herself, but she has received many a talk about this type of behavior from her mother.

She hates when people are overly serious. She once went out to a movie with one of her girlfriends, a Marvel flick from 2012. He kept complaining about plot holes, outfit design, integrity to the comics. Well, Lára saw a girl who was about as cute sitting with some of her friends a couple rows down and decided to join her for the evening instead. She can be a little heartless, but if you ruin her fun she has not time for you. And, besides, did you see how Captain America and Thor teamed up to take on those guys? Fuck that was cool.

Don't let her tell you otherwise, she's a sucker for a good action flick, romantic gesture, or milkshake from a diner. She's also quickly become quite the fan of the Fantasy genre.

Likes:

• A good fight, she typically fights men who are larger than her, and has never fought another demigod.
• Tank tops, she doesn’t like wearing a lot of clothes or accessorizing and only does it when necessary.
• Blondes, something about them seems very pure.
• Cooking, she enjoys making things in general, but she likes food more than crafts so she took up cooking.
• Action films, especially the ones with strong fight choreography.
• Superhero merch/everything in general
• Movie theatres
• Cold beer on a warm day (still illegal)
• Proving people wrong, especially about herself

Dislikes:

• Redheads, reminds her too much of back home, kind of boring.
• People who are incredibly serious.
• Jeans, Denim was made by Satan himself, she is convinced.
• Salad, she’s a much more meat and potatoes kind of girl.
• The sun, the heat in general drives her insane as she feels like sweating when just sitting around is much more annoying than most things.

I suppose I’m used to a charmed life, as I stare at the wall opposite me in my recovery room, I am coldly reminded it isn’t exactly a ballroom. Yet here I sit, pretending it is. The soup Gratia brought me is my banquet, perfectly seasoned, with a nice balance of acid and vegetables. I find the lone spotlight illuminating me as I watch from my throne, upon the rest of the ball. My gown is the most obvious, a nice white/blue backless one, scantily tied up with just a single string at my lower back. Surely, many people will be gossiping about it and how it perfectly accentuates my _wings.

Right.

The tiles lash out at my eyes and the buzzing of the lights assault my ears. Do not forget, they say. You are still here and you will not leave Bianca.

You will leave as a victim.

I am at the foot of a hill that I am unable to climb, and the most beautiful sunset awaits me on the other side. My new team awaits me, Estelle, Vignoble, mom.

But it is surely too steep for a woman like me. Who I am now, it isn’t who I was before.

There is a commotion outside of the waiting room. Another person, here to pity me.

Or Gratia.

Neither.

A young man, he has a cowlick. He's kind of cute, but his outfit could use some work. I'd have to take him shopping one day. Maybe when I get out of here.

He’s talking to me.

I look confused at him, I peer back at Ozpin and he returns my gaze.

He grimaces and looks back at Ozpin, his eyes pierce me and let me know he knows I’m not listening.

"Gratia told me about your wings. If you'll let me, I think I can help you recover."

“I’m not sure what you can do.”

Some words are spoken. He will come back tomorrow. I nod.

Estelle visits, she reads me a novel. I know she is trying, but I’m not comatose.

“Estelle,” I start “I’m not comatose.”

She nods and laughs, she does that laugh when she makes a mistake. It's cute, she's a beautiful young woman and she has every positive trait I can think of. For some reason I can't think of any of my own positive traits. I know there has to be something... Her laugh, I did something similar when I was younger and before I lost my...

“Of course, I’m sorry. Here why don’t you read it?”

“That’s okay. I think I’d like to sleep.”

“Oh, right of course, sorry.”

“Thanks.”

I sleep.

I awake to the same hill as yesterday, the dawn is enticing, perhaps enticing enough to try to go up the hill once more.

I decide not to. That hill is best left alone. I’ll build a home at the base of that hill – it’s where I belong now.

My body has pins and needles, the sharp poking covers every inch of my body. Except for my _wings.

Napoli comes to visit me. He seems different, maybe he’s been in this position before – visiting someone in a hospital. He isn’t the Napoli that makes Gratia consider murder. He’s the Napoli I would check on, make sure is okay. I suppose that’s what he’s doing now. I wonder what he thinks…

He jokes about how I don’t need to worry about the pillow.

I think of a way to respond, but he catches my trepidation and waves it away. That was sweet.

Beryl visits, she is very kind and I’m glad she has taken my spot on the team. Her hair is delightful, I'm not sure why I stare at it for as long as I do. But I find that it's difficult to look away from.

But….

When she is talking, it’s so hard to hear her… From the bottom of this hill. How did she get up there? How does she stay up there? That hill feels so slippery.

Gratia comes by afterwards. She doesn’t say much, but she hugs me and her eyes seem to flicker at one point. She gives me more of her food. I thank her, she hugs me after closing some blinds. None must know of her weakness. Bianca Nuit, fucking birdbrain, Gratia’s weakness.

I apologize for being a burden. She tells me not to be such a fucking idiot.

She’s right of course. I find myself missing the time we spent in Mistral. In the van, she was so warm. She called me Bianca. It was nice.

She takes off, climbing the hill. As she climbs it, leaving my room, it seems to grow. She doesn’t struggle for a second. I wish I was that strong.

I suppose it’s a mountain now, technically speaking.

The boy comes back.

I can hear him this time.

He breathes in deeply, as if preparing for a big statement. His eyes dart around the room, before slowly settling on me, probably because I'm hurt. It's hard for healthy people to look at you in such a state, usually, so I get it. He could be scared. Angry. Uncertain. It can be a complicated thing to take in.

"I forgot to introduce myself earlier," he starts, with a slight air of apology. "I'm Luke, a..."

A pause. He's a..?

"...an acquaintance of Gratia's." he finishes, with some trepidation. Well, that's Gratia for you, not many can truly say the word friend with her. "May I please see your wings?"

Luke’s hair seemingly twitches as he picks up a small scalpel.

I want to yell, but a part of me doesn’t. It's better this way.

Are they here to put me out of my misery? There's nothing a scalpel will do for broken wings like my own.

I must’ve cost the school a fortune.

Doctors have been in all week.

I suppose that’s how it is.

I close my eyes and try to envision my mother.

She’s on top of the hill.

It’s so big.

I feel something wet touch my back, touch my _wings.

The hill is getting smaller.

My mother closer.

Am I dying?

No.

I’m.

!?

The hill is gone.

A clear lake is below me, my mother, Gratia, Luke. Someone is waiting for me.

I don’t know who it is.

So I fly down and touch them.

It’s me.

I’m back.

"Good news, Miss Nuit," he says to me triumphantly, even as his red-stained hand drips onto the next bare patch, doing the impossible. "They're coming back."

They’re back.

“I’m back.” I said, before hugging Luke.

My life would be one big thank you from here. I am at the top of the hill and it is both nice and sad. I know that I’ll never be happier than this again. But I don’t know anyone who’s ever been this happy. I have a dress that would look lovely with these wings.

“My wings are back.”
