My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

Madison was exhausted. The lack of having an advantage in the fight didn't mean that she was weak, but rather, that she had focused too much on exerting as much power as possible in a short amount of time. The smart thing to do would have been to conserve her strength in order to make it last, but she had foolishly denied herself that possibility. The elemental took advantage of her mistake when it swung down its arm, executing a vertical hit that was nearly flawless.

For the poor girl, the unpredictable retaliation of her opponent left her with little time to react. She attempted to defend herself, but had hesitated just long enough for the elemental to make contact. The impact nearly crushed Madison, but it was her shoulder that had taken the bulk of the hit. She lay on the ground stunned, the pain taking a second to register before she let out a painful cry. But she knew she couldn't play the victim card for too long. Madison regained control of herself in order to wave the white flag. A shameful move, but she had no choice.

"I'm done, I need out!"

She couldn't exactly wave her arms to get the Headmaster's attention, but Madison was well aware of the fact that he was watching her and the rest of the students as well.

"What the hell is wrong with you!" Jennifer attempted to smack Nate in the back of the head, but he moved faster than she anticipated and her reach could only get so far. In the blink of an eye they were both gone though, Eli and Nate had disappeared into the mineshaft as Vin gave him a piece of his mind for his careless stunt.

In that moment, Jennifer's attention was diverted to some very dim lights in the distance which slowly got bigger and brighter. She ignored Vin's remarks as he made fun of Eric, giving him a slight nudge to maybe get him to pay attention to the incoming headlights, but he noticed soon enough. Vin pushed her behind him, and Jennifer couldn't help but look around him to see who had crashed their party. From what she could tell, the vehicle was a pick-up truck. What a surprise.

"Wait--be careful!"

She didn't want him going up to strangers to initiate a conversation, much less question them why they were there, but she couldn't stop him, not if his intentions were to try to protect her. Jennifer turned to Eric, hoping he would know what the hell was going on.

"Please tell me that truck looks familiar."
I'm guessing there are plans for the current event in the hotel, is that where everyone's more or less in limbo?
No worries, I miss games half the times. I've been gone for 24 hrs just now.

But anyway, I think my new avatar is great, but I like stupid funny. Unless it's a bit too much for this site, I don' know.

@Zelosse make the post now or suffer.

Nate would probably come running too if he thought JJ or Vin were in trouble.

Probably being the key word here.
@memetrash101 Your character's occupation is paramedic, right? Because your CS has him down as doctor.

Also, can any approved characters be moved to the appropriate tab?

I know, I'll stop barking orders now.
Maddie witnessed the fire elemental's demise, its humanoid form shattering into what seemed to be hundreds of pieces. However, the end of its existence came too soon, and it was too easy of a job to realistically expect that to be the Headmaster's plan. No matter how bad Maddie wanted to believe that she had passed the test, in the back of her mind she expected there to be more. Her smile then faded when she saw the flame fragments coming back to life, scattered on the ground where they laid motionless moments before shooting up about 10 feet into the air.

In a moment of desperation, Maddie made an attempt to stop the attack, or at least slow it down. But she was outnumbered by an exaggerated amount, and the reality hit her when she was struck multiple times in the back, arms, legs, torso, and in the back of her head. Switching to the defensive at that point, Maddie kept one arm up to shield her face while she used the other one to wave away the surrounding flames with one swift motion. This was a rather hard task as she hadn't yet mastered how to control an external source of fire belonging to someone else, much less when the source is an elemental themselves, but she managed to come through.

Even though the burn marks were scattered throughout her body, Maddie didn't let the pain stop her. She took a few deep breaths and rounded up as much of her energy as possible before creating a fiery whirlwind that would swallow up the small flames and trap them inside with no chance of escape.
Maddie eye her opponent, a lump forming in her throat as her heart felt like it was about to burst from her chest. She was more worried about failing her evaluation than anything else, and she would be extremely ashamed of herself if Mr. Kessinger thought any less of her because of it. As she got up on the platform, she made every attempt possible to remain calm, wanting to avoid being perceived as a soft target. Unfortunately for Maddie, that much seemed to be true about her as her eyes widened.

She was barely able to get into a proper stance before her opponent made the first move, spreading its arms to surround her with a wall of fire. She could have sworn it smirked at her as it flicked its wrist and the wall closed in on her at an alarming speed. But Maddie was quick on her feet, sinking down to the ground on one knee and stretching out her arms to either side of her to clear the fire about to burn her alive. Even though Maddie reacted fairly quickly, she took a small hit, the fire reddening her cheeks and forehead. Her involvement in this fight was far from over, though. She cleared out whatever trace of fire was around her and with a wave of her opposite arm, she thrust a spear at her opponent, hoping to hell it would penetrate its torso. If that move went in her favor, her opponent would get stabbed in the chest, one end of the fiery spear sticking out its back as the winged tip extended to secure her opponent in place before she would forcibly pull him toward her to inflict major damage against it.
