My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

Okay, updated my CS.
@deegee

No worries, I'll cover that too then. Just thought the institutions lacked any mental health help.

With that said, yes, she'll be more on the mild side compared to the rest of them. But of course, the number of people she's killed is over the top. Now that I think about it, I imagine her to be someone like Dexter, living a double life. I'll possibly throw in some aspects of torture to make her fit in a bit more.
She hasn't been officially diagnosed with anything as she hasn't been to the doctor, but I'll write a more in-depth background for her. I was planning on revealing it as the game went on through flashbacks, but I understand what you mean.

But yes, she's the writer, although we share names because I always implement something about me into my characters. Promise it's not the psychotic thing!

Name: Olivia Jane DeLuca

Age: 26

Gender: Female

Appearance: Liv is approximately 5'7, with blonde hair and grey eyes. She has a tongue piercing and a couple of tattoos; one on her side going up her back which is a simple design of daisies, and another one on the inside of her wrist of a ladybug.

Background / Hometown: Liv was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey. She was the first child of two, and although she was the older sibling, her parents didn't treat her any different. Their upbringing was relatively normal; she had her friends from school to hang out with everyday during the summer as well as during the weekend throughout the school year. Liv always loved science from a young age, and she'd often go outside to play and explore in order to learn more about the world.

When she was 9 years old, the family was walking back home when a mugger intercepted them. Her father, trying to play the hero, reacted aggressively towards the man and lunged forward to attack him. As a result, her dad was fatally stabbed in the abdomen. The wound caused him to bleed slowly to his death, and Liv, along with her mother and younger brother, witnessed the tragic end to his life.

The loss of a key member of the family torn them apart. Liv's mother started drinking heavily, her younger brother started wetting the bed, and Liv developed a mild form of PTSD. It wasn't until another incident occurred when she was just 16 years old that things got out of hand. She acted purely out of self defense against her and her brother's attacker, but that night she came to the horrifying realization that she actually enjoyed staring into a person's eyes as she drained the life out of them. That was her first kill, and it slowly progressed into a larger number over time. Guys who'd come on to her a little too strong at parties, thugs she'd witness break into people's cars, etc. She couldn't stop herself, and that's why she always carried some sort of weapon on her.

As she got older, Liv started experimenting more with her kills. She would torture her victims before eventually killing them. Of course, that meant that she had to be more sophisticated with her techniques and more careful as well. But one random night, she got carelessly drunk and her victim managed to get away from her. The police arrested her a day later, and that's when life behind bars became her new way of life. Of course, just because she was in prison didn't mean she attempted to stop herself from killing. After her cellmate was found dead one random night, Liv was immediately sent to see the forensic psychiatrist. After a few sessions, she was given the official diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorder alongside PTSD. After her sessions were officially completed, Liv was to be placed in solitary confinement, but she outsmarted the guard who was walking her there and killed him with his own baton, beating the life out of him until his face was nothing but a bloody mess.

Liv was sent to a maximum security prison after that. Given her past and more recent attacks against others, life seems to just get worse for her.

Rap Sheet: Multiple counts of murder.

Personality: She's a bit sarcastic at times, and enjoys joking around, but she's quick to anger if provoked and sometimes all it takes is saying the wrong word or doing the wrong thing. Liv absolutely detests people who talk behind others' backs, and she is not afraid to confront them and bring them to justice in her own way. She's honest and prefers not to lie, and her most prominent trait is being able to keep a secret when others confide in her.

Skills: Liv is quite the sprinter. She can run for miles with energy left to spare. She is also bilingual, fluently able to communicate in Portuguese thanks to her high school courses. Lastly, Liv has learned creative ways of overpowering others before ending their lives.

Motivation: Her little brother.

Gear: A small flashlight found after a few guards had to break up a major fight in her wing.
Even though it was currently well past sunrise, Emilia sat in a quiet, dark corner of her living room space. The setting for her window panel hadn't been taken off "dark" for the day just yet, precisely the way she liked it for the first couple of hours every morning. Emilia had been enduring flu-like symptoms for the past couple of days, and although a quick visit to her doctor pushed aside any real concerns she had, she remained as solitaire as a hermit; much more than before, as a matter of fact. But her peace was short-lived when she received a message which notified her from the bottom-right corner of her computer screen.

One new message

She clicked on the notification, seeing it was sent by Kathryn Pope, the Information Coordinator down at the hospital.

Em,

I hope you're feeling better. Dr. Xavier is asking for the paper on Robyn Stiles. I know the deadline isn't for another day but he's got some work to do and would appreciate it if you could please forward him a copy as soon as you're finished.

Thanks,

Kat

Emilia exited out of the message and clicked on the window which had a draft of the document. She stared at it for a moment, contemplating how to best incorporate a conclusion to finalize the paper. She hated her indecisiveness whenever writer's block kicked in. Always overthinking every aspect of her work and replacing words here and there. One would think that experience over the years would make it easier to write, but for her it was quite the opposite.

"I'm sure Dr. Xavier won't mind..." she said to herself, pulling the cover tighter around her before typing up a quick conclusion which highlighted the main facts of the paper. Cliched, but it would work.

Roughly half an hour later, Emilia was leaving her apartment to head to the hospital. She had on a simple white blouse, black pants, and a black pair of flats. Her badge hung from her shirt collar, and her hair was pulled back into a messy ponytail, wisps of hair framing her face. Emilia had on a little bit of make-up to cover up the dark circles around her eyes as well as her pale lips. No one appreciated looking like a zombie when they were sick, especially not her.

"I'm sorry," she said to a man walking by in a hurry. She had accidentally bumped into him, but they both carried on without a care. Eventually, when Emilia made it to the hospital, she headed straight to Dr. Xavier's office. His door wasn't closed all the way, so she lightly knocked on it and waited for a response.

"Who is it?"

"Dr. Xavier, hi," she peeked her head through the door, then stepped forward once she was waved inside. "I have that report you wanted." Emilia walked across the office over to his desk and placed the small chip beside his computer.

"Ms. Grey, you could have simply sent me an electronic file," he said, grabbing the chip before attaching it to his computer, "you didn't have to come all the way over here for that, especially since you're not feeling all that well."

"It's okay, I still have to pick up some more medication." Emilia headed towards the door. "Please let me know if you'd like me to add anything else and I'll send it to you from home."

"Thank you."

After waving goodbye, she closed the door behind her and walked down the hall to take the elevator towards the first floor. Maybe she'd pick up some food on the way, a little something to take with her medication so she wouldn't feel as nauseated as she would while on an empty stomach.
Amy tinkered with her visor. The blast delivered some damage as it wasn't working quite as good as before. She silently cursed Arex for yet another misfortune.

"Can you believe this crap? My visor took some damage again." Amy looked at Grayson as she finally gave up trying to get it to work. She didn't want him to spend the rest of the trip fixing whatever piece of armor of hers Arex got his hands on. That wasn't his job, and it would further play into the notion that she was a nuisance more than anything. "But I'll just deal with it, I mean, I can still see you pretty okay for the most part." She grabbed one of the tools from Grayson's back pocket and waved it in front of his face.

"See?"
