My therapist mentioned referring me to a psychiatrist for anxiety medication, then at the next appt. said it wasn't a good idea as it doesn't the issue. I would've loved the temporary relief though...

Started calisthenics today; not to lose weight, but to get toned and get a little stronger. It's a 5x/week type deal ChatGPT drew out for me, but my snap, crackle, pop knees sure do love to complain..

Lol your accent is more than slight :P

Not for SoFlo it isn't!

but these white nationalist guys just see women as white baby making machines anyway so you wouldn't get too much grief if you just ceased talking one day :D

Me stop talking? That will never happen!
She knocked a few times before peeking her head from behind the half-opened door.

"Mind if I come in?" Amy asked with a grin, walking in before Grayson had the chance to reply. She almost always said the same thing, if not something similar--a habit that the both of them were used to by then. "I just wanted to give you the heads up...I'm not taking my rifle because I probably won't even have to reach for it out there, so that means my pistol will be my primary weapon. With that said, I was wondering if you could hook a girl up with a laser sight. You see," she continued, her hands in front of her as they provided a visual representation of her words, "I was conducting a quick inspection of all my gear and wouldn't you know it, the damn thing wouldn't work. But lucky for me, I can just as easily insert a regular magazine and use that instead. It's the back-up feature I've kinda been wanting to use. But that'll only happen if you have the equipment for it."

"Right there with ya," Amy said, staying behind and a little off to the right of Stryker. The narrow hallway was making her feel somewhat uneasy, and that was in part thanks to her feelings of regret from leaving her rifle behind. In hindsight, she should have prepared herself for the worst regardless of how "easy" the mission was made to look. But that was a hard lesson learned, and she knew she could rely on the rest of her team if at some point she was getting close to being outgunned by the Skaldurm.
My slight accent is a mark against me though 🤷‍♀️
Amy got up after the briefing, somewhat relieved that their upcoming mission didn't require everyone to have boots on the ground unless things took a turn for the worse. She looked at Grayson and smiled briefly, knowing that he had work to do so it was best to let him be. She knew they all knew, it had been like that for some time now, but she took the fine line between work and pleasure very seriously.

"She you later," she whispered as she walked by him, briefly looking back at Stryker as curiosity got the best of her. Amy wanted to know a little more about the mission, although it wasn't her place to barge into what Stryker and Taleste were about to discuss.

With the little bit of free time she had on her hands, Amy decided to inventory her armor, gear, and weapons. She thought about how up to that point, the crew had been somewhat lucky with their missions. Minimal casualties and non-threatening injuries, so it was safe to assume that statically speaking, at least one of them wouldn't make it back alive.
Downstairs in the kitchen, AJ's eyes were drawn to the bowl of apples sitting adjacent to the refrigerator. She stopped by the knife stand to grab a paring knife, small but sharp enough to be effective. A few of her classmates were present in the kitchen as well, although AJ simply chose to ignore them for the sake of time. She went on to slice her apple on the cutting board, absent-mindedly allowing her thoughts to grow distracted by what the day ahead of them might bring. Unfortunately, AJ was careless enough to the point where she accidentally cut her finger with the knife. The cut itself wasn't deep as it wasn't something that required stitches, but she would prefer to stop the bleeding. With her back still turned to everyone else, AJ began eating the slices of apple while she opened the faucet to let some of the warm water wash over her wound. She winced in pain upon contact, but otherwise gritted her teeth and remained silent.

A little bit of time had passed as AJ finished her breakfast. She put everything in the sink despite the fact that dirty dishes bothered her, but that could wait. She wasn't expecting anyone to give her any lip about it either.

Upstairs, AJ went into the ladies' room. In there, she searched through a few cabinets and drawers in search of a band-aid and it wasn't too long before she found the first-aid kit. Worried that she might be cutting it too close with time, AJ wrapped the band-aid around her finger and then headed for class, stopping by the kitchen to announce that she would take care of the dishes at a later time after school.

---

Once AJ got to the classroom, she sat in one of the chairs on the table closest to the window. She settled in and right away noticed the message sprawled on the board. AJ looked around with an expression of disbelief. Were they actually supposed to learn anything from a robot? The most it could do was probably dictate the material from some source, but even then, they could do that themselves by reading a book in their rooms.

"Is this a joke?" she said out loud, refusing to believe what was going on.

Well, glad this thing is not broken anymore. If the game is still alive, expect something from me within the next couple of days.
@Rilla

Yep, that's me alright.

@iTem

You have the best of both worlds!
@iTem

I get it. Striaght-headed people want curly hair and vice versa.
@iTem

Nonsense. My hair was the inspiration for chia pets whenever I'd straighten it and go outside. Even in its natural curly state it doesn't behave, so that alone is enough bad news for me.
