Yesterday I woke up with a scratch on my chest right below the neck. It's not as prominent today, but still there. My guess is that I scratched myself in my sleep because I didn't have it the night before.

My bottom eyelashes are dark at the base and extremely light at the tip. On two occasions, I've been accused of wearing make-up at work because it looks as if I was wearing eyeliner. I was even told to go wash my face. Come on, it's the middle of the week and you don't think I've washed my face since?

Beatrice Reins, Technical Officer, 32

Species and appearance:

Human female. Beatrice falls short of the average stature, standing at 5'0 and weighing more or less 115 lbs. She has light eyes and short blonde hair, that which is down most of the time or on occasion, pulled back into a ponytail. She has a light complexion and is blemish free. Beatrice doesn't have tattoos or any other distinguishing marks on her body.

Born and raised in a small family of 3 in Montreal, Beatrice was used to hanging out by herself from a young age. She wasn't spoiled by any means, but nonetheless she was the typical troublemaker. Her parents would often get calls from school about her behavior, and she wasn't a stranger to various forms of discipline, even those frowned upon by people against corporal punishment. Throughout the years, Beatrice made friends with both the good and the bad, and she learned a number of skills, but she was primarily interested in technology.

By the time she had completed her secondary education, Beatrice was a rather talented hacker. She would spend some of her free time messing with those whom she believed to have wronged her, but she didn't necessarily mean any harm. One day, however, Beatrice was asked if she could access some classified files by an acquaintance of hers. She did as asked, mainly as a favor, but she wasn't careful enough to cover up her tracks. As a result, a couple of agents showed up at her door and took her in for questioning. Beatrice's parents weren't the least bit pleased when they found out their daughter had practically thrown away her entire future. The girl was questioned for hours on end, and she answered truthfully every bit of the way. Realizing what they had on their hands, Beatrice was extended an invitation to attend the Star Academy in lieu of being incarcerated. She took a few moments to consider either option, but it was a no-brainer for her, and she accepted their offer.

Back home, her parents couldn't be more thrilled for what awaited her, their attitudes a stark contrast from when she had last seen them. Word of her pending departure got around and Beatrice realized she was two friends short because she had apparently been labeled a sellout. While their decisions bothered her, Beatrice never followed up in an attempt to get an apology. She knew she would soon meet more people than she could keep track of.

Skills, strengths and weaknesses, and tools:

A bit of a hot head. Beatrice doesn't have much patience as she tends to sweat the little things. That's not to say she blows up in people's faces because she'd rather avoid confrontation, but she does have her short fuse. On the plus side, Beatrice is the intelligent type and doesn't have a problem doing a job she's been told to do. She much prefers to be left alone when engaged in a difficult task, but she doesn't mind being interrupted for a brief moment if someone needs her help with something.

As of lately, Beatrice has taken it upon herself to work out on a daily basis. She's incorporated a strenuous exercise regimen into her daily routine and as a result, her body has toned up a bit. Beatrice enjoys her new lifestyle and doesn't plan on stopping any time soon in order to remain in shape.

Miscellaneous info:

Beatrice is iron deficient; she occasionally experiences lightheadedness, extreme fatigue and weakness, and shortness of breath. Should she take the damn iron supplements? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean she goes through with it. Her excuse: "It make me feel nauseated".

Hah, sounds like she got into the Star Academy the same way as Nick. Did something rebellious, but got recruited for it instead of punished. Actually, since they're both around the same age and both went to the Academy- do you wonder if they could have met eachother before now?

Alicia stands at roughly 5'2, her build being proportional to her size. She's toned due to her regular exercise regimen, but she's not at all muscular. She has curves in all the right places and weighs in at 115 lbs. Despite the technology being available, she never desired to enhance her body in any shape or form. She's all natural and doesn't think highly of people looking for augmentations. Alicia has brown eyes and short brown hair, and she's never even altered it to change the color. Her body isn't adorned with any tattoos and the only distinguishing marks on her are a few scars from previous years.

Typically, Alicia can be seen wearing comfortable clothing. A shirt, pants, tennis shoes, and depending on the weather, a jacket. She has a duty belt that she wears whenever she knows she's going to engage in some type of battle. On it she has a gun, a first aid kit, and a knife.

PERSONALITY TRAITS

Alicia is as quirky as they come, the stuff that sometimes leaves her mouth making others second-guess her sanity. She's not at all shy and to add on, she'll sometimes make people engage in behavior beyond their own level of comfort. Alicia loves to laugh and have a good time, but if she believes she's been wronged, she'll be out for blood. She feels the same way about the people whom she truly cares about. She'll defend them to the end and won't back down unless she's sure the benefits don't outweigh the costs.

HISTORY

Born into a small family, Alicia has spent most of her life tucked away from the big crowds. She grew up alongside her older sister, Linda, who was two years her senior. The girls were raised on a small island in Lake Erie as their parents wanted them away from all the hostility floating around the mainland. Despite their best efforts, the family could not always keep the chaos away. Both Alicia and her sister were the adventurous type, and their curious sides periodically landed them both in trouble.

The mischief stopped when Linda was killed early on her teenage years. The family was devastated, especially Alicia. Weeks after her sister's death, the young girl still hadn't been able to cope with such a huge loss. It was then she turned to narcotics for a brief period of time, and for a few months she tried anything and everything she could get her hands on. Her father found out and kicked her out of their home, intending to make her learn a lesson the hard way so she too wouldn't end up dead. But the stunt only made Alicia resent her father, as well as her mother for not defending her, and she didn't bother returning home. Alicia found shelter with some people she had met through her sister, and they took her in as one of their own. It didn't take long for Alicia to feel comfortable in her new home, and despite having to deal with newfound hardships, not once did she think about heading back to the island.

When she was in her mid 20s, Alicia met a guy, Max. They became a couple after getting to know one another and even moved in together a few months after that. Alicia was head over heels for the guy, and she told herself that they would be spending the rest of their lives together. Max felt the same way, but their happiness was short-lived. Being that they lived in somewhat of a hot zone, Max went out for a walk one day only to never return. There had been a confrontation with one of the bots and Max was mercilessly killed. Word got around to Alicia, and her world shattered all over again. She's since has had to adapt to being on her own. But such feat was easier said than done. Due to her hardships, Alicia had gained a new mentality. From that point forward, she viewed anything that wasn't human as the enemy. That even included humans who are also part machine. In her mind, they couldn't be trusted, and she pressed forward doing whatever she could to take the AIs down.
