I've watched the video that Ross's Game Dungeon covered, it's spectacular how they kind of even predicted September 11th, or to be specific the kind of world that it would create in its wake. The military-industrial complex, terrorism, etc.

You won't be disappointed with the Metro games, they're fun experiences especially if you play on survival mode with limited ammunition. Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux are what you want to check out, they should be available for fairly cheap now and occasionally go on sale on Steam or G2A. Metro Exodus is going to be at E3 this year too, so there's that to look forward to as well.
