Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

Yo, @Teknonick! Just want to let you know that the tree in the middle of the gym isn't actually there, if that was the one you were using the roots from. If not, then this is totally irrelevant and I apologize for that. Kyo's ability is about projection.
What information should we write down for characters?

"Hmm..." The boy took a moment to think of a good suggestion as he looked at the posted menu. The cafe did have a lot of interesting options, but it was always a little tricky recommending flavors to someone he didn't know well. His face soon lit up a bit as a thought hit him. "You don't have any food allergies, do you? Because I think I just got a perfect idea." Noticing the line slowly moving ahead, he stepped forward with them on the way closer to the counter. "Before we try it though, can you do me a favor? Pick two numbers, one between 1 and 10, and the other between 1 and 5. It'll help me figure out the rest."
This is probably going to be changed a bit before anything is actually made of it (because I'm writing this while in a state of semi-exhaustion), but I recently got this idea and am wondering where I can go with it. Ideas and/or interest are appreciated!

The carnival is an interesting place. The lights twinkle in the night, with music playing in the background like some sort of fairy tale and a vast array of colors and shapes arranged and moving like some kind of odd dream. It's a magical place in itself; one where people can forget their troubles on the fun, whirling rides or enjoy tests of skill and tactical execution with the games, even receiving some sort of prize for their efforts if they happen to be fortunate enough. It's a place where one can spend an exciting evening and find out what kind of luck they really have.

Maybe this is where you'll find your luck, as well. Or at least borrow some.

Whatever it was that brought you here - a troubled past, an sudden misfortune of any size, or even a planned night of mirth with friends, you're here now. And by the time the sun comes up, everyone will be going home except for you. As long as you're here, you might as well make the best of it.

Unfortunately for you, however, this carnival isn't exactly normal. If you want to make it to the next night, you'll have to be careful not to fall for any of the odd supernatural traps. Anything could lead to your downfall, from certain suspicious performers to even rides that seem to defy most sane explanations. This place is in what is supposed to be the middle of nowhere, after all, and it has to run on something.

I'm not certain if I want the joining characters to be normal and just trying to figure out how this "fairy world" carnival operates or if I want them to be gifted individuals who have to use heir unique abilities to take on the darker world lurking beneath the cover of this distracting place. Please feel free to make suggestions!
I'll post something in the morning.
I'll come up with something, then.

Felice watched the fight to its end, taking note of a few of the moves used. He wasn't certain that he'd be able to remember them to avoid, counter, or recreate them when he found the chance, but it was nice to at least have something for possible inspiration. Once one of them ended the fight, he looked away to the others, curious as to who would be volunteering next.

As he looked over the room, however, he noticed someone hiding their face away from the other pairs. For a moment, he just stared, nearly every part of him arguing with him not to get involved for any reason.

"...Fine, I'll bite." Having ultimately lost to the one inquisitive voice in his head, the red-haired boy walked over and stood a few feet away. "What exactly is it that you're doing? Not being able to see others doesn't always make them unable to see you, if that's the idea."
@KatherinWinter

The boy went quiet at the minimal answer. Maybe she didn't feel like talking? She had seemed pretty distant since she had placed him back on the ground...it was strange. Had something started bothering her again? Was she thinking about Kyle? What was Kyle doing now, anyway? The questions piled up in his head as he started running to keep up. It really was harder to maintain the same pace at such a smaller size, and he felt a bit relieved as the dining hall came into view.

For some reason, he didn't want to switch back yet.

As they entered the building, he tried to stay near his new companion for a while as she wandered, but quickly found himself growing tired after the walk/run just to get there. Eventually, he resorted to trying to climb onto one of the tables so he could at least watch instead. Failing to make his way up the table legs made him stop after a short while, plopping down on the floor and staring up longingly at the tabletop. "There's nothing to grip...I'll have to either wait or become big again..."
I feel like my post might be a little too unrealistic... I'll check it over again after I get some rest. If there are any specific objections before I get back, though, feel free to point them out. I'll probably be editing it one way or another.
@Gentlemanvaultboy

The boy shivered as he tried to push himself off the ice, doing his best to favor the arm still cradling the tablet. He nodded gratefully to the younger girl as she tried to help as well, though he almost dropped the tablet as he felt his feet start slipping from under him again.

Or...huh?

"Can you feel your toes?"

No. No, he couldn't.

He couldn't feel them at all.

It was as if they had been replaced by something else, something nonliving. But they had been hurting only a moment ago, he thought.
So strange. He could still see them, but they didn't move right. It hurt to move them, but otherwise, there might as well have been nothing more than dead weight.

It was almost the opposite of whatever had happened to his throat.

As the girl spoke again, he soon found himself snapping back to reality with necessity of a response hanging over him. She had told him to change his shoes...right? He hadn't imagined that. Biting his lip a little, he nodded and tried to stand on his own again. The pain was immediate, if brief. They still wouldn't move right, and it took so much effort to walk, especially without grimacing so obviously. But she was right; if nothing else, he shouldn't be wearing these shoes. That was something he could probably change...if he could just stand up properly.
