The struggle to want to write, but plagued by the nightmare of actually putting to words is real. I can SEE it in my head, but words...aren't wording.

Bio

Hey there! I'm Yana (formerly known as Hylia Incarnate)

I’ve been roleplaying since facebook group RP days, and my style’s grown into multi-para/novella! I love weaving emotional, character-driven stories—romantasy, slice-of-life, and a dash of drama are my bread and butter. I’m down for any pairing dynamic; gay, straight, chaotic, and I’m smut-friendly as long as it doesn’t hijack the plot.

These days, I mostly write with my best friend of 10 years. We’ve built an angsty little gay universe that I adore, but I’m hoping to branch out and keep things fresh! If you're down for deep character arcs, angy boys, and the occasional emotional crisis, we’ll probably vibe just fine

I am consistently inconsistent. I deeply apologize.

If you would like, I am also on Discord at the same username!

Welcome!! I am new also, but glad to have you here!! Hope you have a good time
Adelia laughed at his dramatic declaration, not missing the way his group waved him off with little more than amused smirks. “Wow,” she said dryly, her lips quirking. “No loyalty. Not even a single rescue attempt. You might want to reconsider your fanbase.”

She allowed herself to be tugged along this time, her steps easy and light. The moment he tossed out As you wish, her head tilted slightly—and her smile turned sly. “That better not be a Princess Bride reference unless you're ready for me to quote the whole movie back at you,” she warned, sipping her water with a knowing glance. “I’ve seen it too many times to count because of my siblings. Big mistake bringing that up.”

She followed his gaze to the food table, the buzz of the crowd fading just slightly as they approached the buffet. His answer to her question came with that same offhand honesty she was starting to find charming. “Digital design?” she echoed with interest. “That actually makes a lot of sense. You give off I have a dozen half-finished personal projects I’m super passionate about energy.”

Her expression turned thoughtful, but still kind. “Sounds like something that lets you be creative but still, like..build something real. That’s cool.” She set her water down to free a hand and reached for one of the skewers she’d spotted earlier, inspecting it for a moment before popping the grape into her mouth.

“I’m in Allied Health,” she said after she swallowed. “Trying to be useful, I guess. Eventually I want to work in physical therapy or maybe occupational therapy. Help people get back on their feet. Literally.” Her tone was light, but there was something quietly grounded beneath it, a conviction that lingered even in the casual way she spoke. She didn’t need to embellish it. It was just who she was.

When made his comment about escaping the crowd, she hummed in agreement, nodding slowly. “Sometimes it’s nice to just… step out of the chaos and breathe, yeah,” she said, casting a quick glance toward the still-lively mixer behind them. “It gets loud. Everyone’s trying so hard to be memorable all at once.”

Her eyes slid back to him, thoughtful. “You’re memorable, but not in the trying-too-hard way. That’s rare.” She popped the piece of cheese into her mouth and smiled around it, playful again. “But you lose points for eating the cookies first. Rookie move, McCail.”

Adelia blinked, caught off-guard more by the whirlwind of energy that was Eliot than the accidental swipe of his arm. Still, her grip on her glass stayed solid, and after the initial jolt of surprise, a quiet laugh slipped from her lips. His expression alone, equal parts horror and over-the-top dramatics, was enough to break any tension. “You’ve got a dangerous storytelling technique,” she said, her voice light with amusement. “Do they always come with live-action demonstrations?”

Her smile reached her eyes as she watched him whirl around to appease the group behind him, declaring the brutal truth of his tale’s ending like it was a Shakespearean monologue. Adelia shook her head with another soft laugh. “You really committed to that one.” When he turned back to her, empty cup in hand, she lifted her own modest glass of water in return, shrugging slightly. “I don’t drink, actually. I like to keep my head clear around strangers… you never know when someone’s gonna go full helicopter with their arms.”

Her tone was teasing but warm, her posture relaxed. The energy in the room still buzzed, but Eliot’s presence had made it easier to stay grounded in the moment. Socializing wasn’t her strongest suit, but this—this felt manageable.

As he offered his arm toward the bar, she didn’t hesitate. With a soft grin, she looped her free hand around his elbow and gave it a mock-serious tug. “I’m taking you hostage. You hit me, so now you’re responsible for my safe passage to the snacks.” She nodded forward. “Lead on, chair-slayer.” As they made their way through the crowd, she tilted her head toward him, sipping her water between steps. “So, Eliot McCail... what’s your major? I'm Adelia, by the way. Adelia Sailee.”

Her eyes wandered toward the long table set up near the far wall—white cloth, polished trays, and a generous spread of options. 'Something light, but not heavy,' she thought as her gaze danced over cookies, sliders, chips, and cut fruit. Her eyes settled on a platter of little toothpick skewers—cheese cubes, grapes, and tiny bits of cured meat.

Perfect.

Her grip on Eliot’s arm loosened just enough so she could motion toward the table. “I hope you weren’t planning on sprinting back to your fans, because I plan to fully judge this food before committing to anything.”

Music playing/Vibes

The room buzzed with life—music low but steady, laughter echoing from clusters of students scattered throughout the campus hall. Warm, golden string lights hung in gentle loops overhead, casting a cozy glow over the space as new faces mingled and memories began to form, fragile and fresh like the changing leaves outside.

Adelia stood slightly off-center from the crowd, a glass of water held delicately in her hand. Beads of condensation clung to the surface, a quiet anchor in her grip. She offered a soft smile to anyone who passed, polite and open, though she didn’t linger long in conversation. Her hazel eyes flitted across the room, quietly observant—taking in more than she said.

She was dressed in a soft cream knit sweater tucked into high-waisted jeans, comfortable but presentable. Her hair was pulled half-up, little wisps escaping around her temples, giving her a relaxed, approachable air.

Adelia didn’t drink—not here, not with strangers. The idea left her stomach knotted. If something were to happen, if someone needed help, she wanted to be clear-headed, steady. That instinct never left her, not even now, away from home. She'd promised herself she'd try to be social, to step outside of the role she’d played for so long, but old habits ran deep.

Still, she was trying.

She took another sip of water and stepped a little deeper into the crowd, her smile warming as a familiar laugh caught her ear—someone telling a joke too loudly, the kind of sound that made it easier to breathe.

Maybe… maybe tonight wouldn't be so bad after all.
I can! Want them to meet at a mixer of sorts? In class? Entirely up to you!
