Also, I removed the backstory of the Vishari Prince (YC) but left a few notes. Please check it out. Smaller updates to the Vishari section, nothing huge.

Just wanted to say as well, most of the things I have written down for the Vishari are the lost ways. So, you’re building a new culture on top of what was there. Imagine walking into, I don’t know, the pueblos and you have no idea what anything does or how they lived or what the strange markings on the walls are, but you’re going to make it work because this is home - so, you make your own way of how things are done and how you live in the ruins of a time before you.

You don’t have to use pueblos for the Vishari. It’s an example.

I am looking for someone comfortable with dominant characters. The fae I have in mind for this is a stubborn, sassy hothead.

You’re the Vishari King/Prince. I’m the Fae.

Story background:

There has been a long and drawn-out war between two different lands, cultures, and races. The Fae live in one land, which is a lush forest-jungle. The other is a desert home to the Vishari. This conflict has lasted so long that no one can recall what the original offensive was. They continue to fight because each side believes the other has committed a heinous crime. With each passing year, hatred and fear between the two grows.

Original story plot

A Vishari Prince becomes the new King and sends a letter of truce to the Fae, proposing that the two lands come together and form a treaty of peace. Surprisingly, it was accepted, but only on the condition that the King visit their forest and debate the terms of the new treaty in person with the Queen of the Fae.

The new King meets his fated mate - the Queen's twin brother - in the Fae's forest.

After securing the peace treaty, the Vishari King returns home with his fated mate and new Queen. Together, they must survive a dangerous noble court still aligned with his father’s rule, as well as discover the lost ways while love blossoms between them.*

*I would like to start the RP when the King is visiting the Fae's forest.

Exiled Prince - alternative plot #1

*Please read the Vishari portion first. I’m sure it will make more sense after. *

After the tragic loss of his mother, the Vishari Prince swore that he would dethrone his father and revive the lost ways of his people.

Over time, he secretly built connections and a dedicated following grew under him. However, before he was to launch an attack, his plans were leaked to his father. His father mercilessly crushed the rebellion the Prince had raised, and ordered his best generals to kill the Prince.

The Prince barely escaped with his life; he was driven into exile, chased across his country and into the Fae’s forest.

In the Fae’s Forest, the Prince feels the familiar pull of the Goddess which he follows to find the lost Moon Temple where he also discovers his fated mate.

*I would like to start the RP when the Prince is running for his life and enters the Fae Forest.
**Also, he does get captured later after the mating ritual to face The Queen.

This third plot is the one I think that fits this whole thing best, so it's the one I really would like to do.

Exiled Fae Queen & the Prince’s Prophecy - Alternative Plot #2

*Please read the Vishari and Fae stuff below. It makes way more sense after*

Note: I plan to use Version 2 of the Fae for this one. So, no magic but yes wings.

Also, the Moon Temple is hidden somewhere in the desert in this one.

“You are destined for greatness, my Prince,” the wisewoman said. Milky white eyes stared off into the distance. “You are touched by the Goddess and she will lead you to a life of honor and richness. However, it will end at a fork in the road and you will be forced to make a choice. This choice will bear down on those around you and, possibly, change the world.”

YC is a Prince with a Prophecy. Blessed by the Goddess, he can feel her summon him through an intrinsic link. Her pull is undeniable and he follows it to the Moon Temple where he meets his fated mate.

Prophecy can be made in his youth or later or can be made during his travels/adventures with Alistar. It’s up to you how you want to handle it.

Blessed by a strange woman in a dream (the Goddess), Alistar finds himself with a new pair of wings and a baby Mother Tree in his arms - marking him a full-fledged Queen. Instead of killing him right then and there, his sister, the current Queen, exiles him from the forest, banishing him for life. Her last parting words, “Cross the desert and plant the Mother Tree.”

Alistar ventures forth into the Vishari desert with nothing but the Mother Tree to guide him. Her pull lures him to the Moon Temple.

Vishari

So, usually, I only have a few bullet points for my partner’s race/character so they can build whatever however they want. But this time I’ve spent a lot of time thinking of some aspects that are a must for this. So, please read this carefully. These are the foundations of your race and culture and religion. Feel free to build on top of this.

Sun and Moon - Creation Myth and Basis for Mate Ritual and Mates

Long ago, there was no sun, and the Vishari were children of the night, dwelling as four-legged beasts in the moonlight.

The moon danced in the sky. She danced so beautifully that anybody who saw her fell in love. One day, she danced too close to the land, waking the sun. When he awoke, he fell instantly for her vision and wanted desperately for her. The first rays of the sun fell upon the land as he rose to meet her. But the moon was terrified and fled. The sun pursued.

The moon stepped out of the sky and onto the earth for the first time. Wild, bizarre things bloomed where she stepped. The sun followed, and he left behind blazing footprints, a testament to his love for her. The moon raced across the land, trailed by the sun. The sun eventually caught her, bound her, and claimed her. He then bestowed some of his power on her cherished children, the Vishari. The Vishari were blessed with a second form that walked on two legs, mimicking the moon's beautiful shape. The moon was so pleased that she returned to the sky with the sun, where she dances for him every night and he rises every day to shed his brilliant light on her children.

Mate Ritual

Similar to the tale of the Sun and the Moon. It begins with someone who sees themselves as a sun praying at the Moon Temple seeking guidance to their mate. The Moon is thought to establish an unbreakable bond between them and their mate. The hunt then begins with the Sun pursuing the Moon. When the sun successfully captures their moon, they claim her as their mate.

When this rite was still practiced, the Sun would present their Moon with one of their canines from their Night-walker form, which the Moon would wear. The Sun would then receive a gold or silver replacement tooth, indicating that the individual is a Sun with a Moon.

Bond - is it real?

Yes. It is. The bond between YC and MC will be the first in a very long time.

I have a couple of ideas for this, but I have not settled on any one. So, we can discuss this together and see what we both would like.

Bond mark / first touch

I wanted something that stands out differently from typical fated mates - where there is a mark or a tattoo-like thing that shows up.

So, I thought, what if its not a mark but a spot on their body that when their mates touches/strokes/caresses it it puts them in a trance-like state or even a pleasurable state for a short while. Kind of puts them at the mercy of their mate. Which I think could be fun.

I was also thinking this could be a “first touch” thing where during the actual mating of the mate ritual, its the first touch of their new mate that is that sensitive spot. So, if limbs are flying, that first touch could be in a weird spot.

We can talk about this too and see what we both would like.

Sun & Moon mates

Vishari revere the Goddess of the Moon so much that they yearn to be a Sun in order to have the honor of having a Moon mate. Sometimes people arrive at the Moon Temple as Suns, only to find their mate already by their side during prayer. This usually requires determining who is the Sun and who is the Moon which is done between the two individuals.

A person who is a Sun are typically more dominant or more aggressive of the pair. They also have a tendency to be territorial/possessive about their moons.

Sun and Moon pairs call their mate “my moon” or “my sun” respectively of their “role”.
Ex: “Hello, brother. This is my moon.” Ex 2: “You look ravishing today, my moon.”

I don’t have traditional roles for the Sun and Moon. But you can create traditional roles/duties if you want. Also, I don’t have set expectations on who is sun or moon. Such as, a female can be a sun to a male moon.

However, when it comes to YC and MC, YC is Sun and MC is Moon.

Vishari History

*This will cover only recent history. I’m not going to cover the whole war.*

The Vishari have been able to take two forms since the Sun-Moon bond: their original night-walker shape and their gifted human-like form.

That is, until YC’s grandfather declared his people were weak because of their link to the moon. He blamed the moon for their failure to defeat the Fae. He prohibited anyone from returning to their original night-walker and forbade moon worship. Those who were dedicated to the moon were forced to resume their activities in secrecy. Wisewomen and shamans were compelled to flee. Anyone discovered, captured, or accused of worshiping the Goddess was publicly executed or tortured.

When the YC’s father took the throne, he followed the same rule, and the number of moon worshippers shrank or became more adept at hiding.

It is YC’s oath to resurrect the lost ways that won him popularity and public support. With his newfound might, he overthrew his father and seized the throne. He is currently adored by his people. Although, there are noble lords who profited under his grandfather and father's leadership or who sincerely believe in removing the Goddess of the Moon for the greater good of their people.

Temples

The moon temple has vanished as a result of the grandfather's statement and activities. The entire site simply vanished into thin air, existing one day and then disappearing the next.

Wisewomen and shamans recollect what it looked like. A stone pillar with an oblong shape carved on top and an opalescent blue moonstone inserted in its core. The moonstone is visible from all sides of the pillar. Smooth stone floor expands from the base of the pillar, with circles carved into the surface at regular intervals. The nearest circle to the pillar's base was 20 feet away. The interior of the circle was lined with markings that even the oldest wisewoman couldn't decipher.

The sun temple was lost long before the moon temple disappeared. Nobody remembers it.

Prayer

Vishari kneel and bow till their foreheads or the tips of their horns touch the ground when they worship. It is to make even the most powerful Vishari humble in the presence of the Moon Goddess.

Those seeking a mate or who have gotten permission from the temple wisewoman may worship in the Moon Temple's innermost circle. It is stated that if one prays on a full moon with the full moon's light striking the moonstone just right, one can hear the Goddess. If she grants your desire, the markings in the circle are believed to glow.

Vishari, the people

The Vishari are tall and powerful. The women are typically 6'4" tall, not adding the height of their horns. The average man stands at 6'8", with royal bloodlines averaging 7'2".

They live in the desert. I was thinking this will be a desert that has many, many different terrains. Kind of like Africa where there are dunes, flat plains, rocky terrain, low-lying green areas, and a massive water system that flows for a few months out of the year before drying up again.

They eat with their hands.

They love horses and are quite proud of their bloodlines, especially those that have been bred exclusively for racing. Because most adult men are considerably too hefty to ride the lightweight frames of their racing horses, they usually hire youngsters to do so. These jockeys are usually close family friends who can be trusted with the cherished animals.

To the Vishari, the color red represents many things, including life, fertility, and luck. It is used on a variety of occasions.

Vishari may growl, purr, hiss, and make other sounds. They also possess a fantastic sense of smell, and each individual has a distinct scent. Scents can be highly appealing.

Night-walker

Modifications to a Qilin (Kirin).

They have the body of a horse and clawed talons like a dragon instead of hooves. The back legs are more cat or dog-like, allowing them to sit like a cat or dog. Their mane is thick and lengthy and they have a tail like a unicorn. The head is horse-shaped, yet its mouth hinges like a dragon and is packed with predatory teeth. Its head is crowned by a pair of massive horns. Horns are more dragon-like than deer-like as shown in a Qilin or Kirin.

The night-walker's body is covered with fur, hair, and scales. Scales cover and protect the most essential regions of the body, such as the underside of the neck and belly. They start at the primary joints of their legs and work their way down to their talons. The scales vary in color, with males being brighter and more colorful than females.

There are distinct indicators in royal bloodlines. Fur thickens across the shoulders, resembling a lion's mane. Their scales glisten with iridescence, and their colors are unusual, such as peacock blue and majestic purple. Their tails are longer and more voluminous. Feathering (longer pieces of fur) occurs on the back of their legs. If they are male, they have a thick beard that grows along their jaw line and tapers to the chin, similar to a goat's beard.

The most common coat colors are brown, black, or grey. Black manes and tails are common. This applies to everyone, including royal bloodlines.

Royal lineages are 10 feet tall at the shoulder. Everyone else's average height is 8 feet.

Very similar to a demon.

They have horns and a tail, which reflect their night-walker form. They have clawed hands and normal feet. Their skin color ranges from mocha to ebony.

I’m not sure about including scales in this form. I was thinking the belly and their forearms. But I don’t know. You can add the scales or not. Up to you.

Vishari King/Prince - Your Character

These are notes to be considered in creating your character.

He is of royal blood and comes from a long history of Kings. He can be the current crown-prince, positioned to succeed his father. He can be the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/whatever number prince. In short, he is a son of the current King whether or not he is to succeed the throne.

Connection to the Goddess - Only wisewomen and shamans have a powerful link to the Goddess and are able to hear her words. Your character’s connection isn't that strong, but when she summons him, he feels her pull. It is the Goddess' connection that takes him to the Moon Temple where he meets his fated mate.

Night-walker: At this time in Vishari history, the Night-walker form is nearly forgotten. As a result, YC is unaware of his ability to change forms. He is also unaware of the night-walker form.

Still learning about the lost ways. Knows about the Sun and Moon myth and bonded mates.*

*Optional. Because you might create a character that has been raised in an environment that does not abide or entertain the ideas of the lost ways and I want that to be open to you if you chose to do so. But if he does know the lost ways, then this is the limit of his knowledge.

Fae, Version 1

The Fae inhabit a beautiful and dense forest. They have pointy, longish ears and porcelain skin with subtle warm undertones. The majority choose lengthy hairstyles that are meticulously braided and weaved into distinct patterns. Their clothes are light and flowy, with bright colors and intricate needlework. Most people walk barefoot.

The tallest Fae stood at 6 feet. Most Fae are between 5' and 5'10". The present Queen stands 5'4" tall. Alistar (MC) stands 5'10" tall.

They use metal chopsticks and spoons to eat.

Their mounts are huge jungle cats which stand 6 feet tall at the shoulder. Alistar does not have a cat mount.

Creation Myth

A seed of light descended from the Ali-star and planted itself in the ground. The Mother Tree grew from that seed, and as she grew, so did life, and the forest was born. The first Queen emerged from the Mother Tree's roots with a crown of red hair. The first Fae folk appeared after her.

The first Queen is so connected to the Mother Tree that she can hear the Mother Tree's voice while others cannot. The first Queen led the first Fae to a thriving and prosperous life with the help of the Mother Tree.

Queens

All Queens are born under the Ali-star and are all named Alistar in honor of the Ali-star. When the young queens are old enough to leave their mothers, the resident Queen takes them in as her own and teaches them about their connection to the Mother Tree, their history, and their magic.

The Mother Tree connects to all Queens. A Queen cannot exist without a Mother Tree, and a Mother Tree cannot exist without a Queen. Queens never left the Mother Tree or their forest.

All Queens are born with red hair and green eyes and are masters of all magic.

If more than one Queen is born, only one becomes The Queen. This can happen in a variety of ways, but typically, illness in early life reduces the number of Queens. However, if numerous Queens survive and are trained by the current Queen, they must compete for the role of the next Queen. This always results in the victor being the sole survivor.

However, for the first time in Fae history, a pair of Queen twins were born. The twins adored one other and couldn't bear the thought of hurting one another. As a result, one queen vowed his allegiance to the other, and she succeeded to the throne.

Queens can be male or female.

Mother Tree

The Mother Tree gave life to the first Queen and Faes. She is also the final resting place for all Queens and Faes. They are placed on her roots, and her roots draw in the bodies, burying them deep in the Mother Tree.

The Mother Tree herself is small, barely reaching 10 feet in height, yet her roots grow thick and strong at her base, breaking the earth around her. Her root system is also extensive. Buried deep in the earth, her roots spread throughout the entire forest. In the forest, she senses everything. She can also alter the forest, changing rivers and rearranging trees.

She accepted the Moon Temple's presence and concealed the Moon from both Fae and Vishari. Except for the Vishari King and Alistar, the fae queen who isn't Queen.

Prayer to the Mother Tree

Every Fae has access to the Mother Tree, where they pray on their knees with their hands together and their fingers straight. Fae can ask the Mother Tree for anything, but she does not always respond or provide.

Offerings

Fae may make offerings to the Mother Tree such as special alcohol or a portion of successful hunts.

Ali-star

A bright red star that flies across the sky every few decades.

Magic

All Fae are endowed with magic because they were born from a being birthed from a star. Not all Fae are equal in their powers. Magic is divided into categories, and a Fae is a master of only one. Queens, on the other hand, are masters in all categories, even developing abilities outside of the traditional divisions.

Categories are the elements: water, wind, fire, and earth.

Magic is not just control of the elements, it also encompasses other abilities Such as:

Breath/wind - masters of this category can perform telekinesis and teleport short distances.

Water - masters of water can heal and perform divination.

Fire - masters of fire conjure inanimate objects and create, control and manipulate electricity.

Earth - masters of wood can bind or trap a living being in time.

Alistar - my character

Responds to “Al”, “Ali”, or “Alistar”. “Star” is his sister. Slow to respond to “Queen”, “my Queen”, or “my moon”.

Alistar is a fae queen and twin brother to the current Queen.

His magic is sequestered by his sister when he pledged his allegiance to her rule. -> if using original plot line

He gave up his wings to his sister, pegging his allegiance to her rule. When MC gets his wings back, they are the size of when he gave them to his sister, so he can’t fly because their size is too small for his stature. -> if using the exiled fae queen plot

Connected to the Mother Tree.

He has never left his forest and has never seen a Vishari in-person.

Scent: sandalwood and jasmine

Fae, Version 2

Essentially the same as version 1, except they have no magic.

Instead, they have wings. 2 sets of 2 wings, with the largest pair above the smaller pair. They sprout from their back around the shoulder blade area. They wear skin-tight clothes instead of version 1’s airy clothes.

Queens have massive and decorative wings, and when folded down their backs, the wings can trail behind them like the train of a dress.

Most Fae have angular wings built for flying in the tight spaces of a dense forest-jungle.

Similar to Version 1 of the Fae, my fae will have given up his wings to his Queen to mark his loyalty to her. So, he will have no wings. But I do have a plan on getting them back.

Vampire x Werewolf - Fantasy / Modern / Alternate Universe

I’m the vampire (MC). You’re the werewolf (YC). They are ex-lovers.

Everything was finally looking up for YC at last. He found his true love (MC). He was making progress at work. He has a decent apartment.

Until, out of the blue, he was abruptly dumped after a year of bliss, with no explanation. A few days later, he’s summoned to return home, where his great grandmother had a secret to reveal.

He is a werewolf. They were all werewolves. And, his cousin was brutally murdered the day before.

The local vampires were demanding a conference to discuss the murder - as was protocol to the agreement made between the vampires and great grandmother.

On top of that, great grandmother sees huge potential in YC and re-connecting with his wolf. So, she wants to call an old friend to take him to see one of the original werewolves for training. That “old friend” is MC, YC’s ex-lover.

During training, YC and MC discover the murder was part of something larger, and they will have to work together to solve the mystery and save the world.

Werewolf Notes

Great grandmother is a full blooded werewolf. YC’s grandmother and grandfather were also full blooded. But as the generations passed, the bloodline has been diluted with the introduction of human partners.

So, YC is, at most, half werewolf. This gives him greater control over his wolf but it also puts him at a great disadvantage as he will be more prone to going feral. He hasn’t been aware of his wolf until he goes for training because it's been oppressed for so long.

The wolf part isn’t a part that has a consciousness. It's more like a primal self that is still the same person but works on an instinctual level. It's very easy for a werewolf to go feral if they don’t have a good grasp or understanding of that primeval self. It is incredibly difficult for a werewolf to “come back” after going feral, and all feral wolves go into a destructive bloodlust mode - slaughtering anyone and anything. Thus, feral wolves are always terminated.

Going feral means getting too deep into their primeval self that they lose themself and can’t turn back into their human form or return to rational thinking.

The term “his/her/my/your wolf” is about that primeval self and instincts. It’s not an actual wolf.

Soulmates - Modern / Alternate Universe

Souls are real. Not only are they part of you, they are A part of you. Usually this part shows up as a cute blob thing floating around the person. They can be "reabsorbed" into the body at will or at its will. Typically this part of the soul reflects the person.

I.E. a petite feminine girl would most likely have a soul that's small and pink. A depressed person would have a blue and saggy soul or it would never show itself. A confident man would have a large soul. A timid person would have a small, quivering soul. I think you get the idea.

Sometimes the soul is never shown either by the will of the person or the will of the soul.

These souls have their personalities too. They're not mirrors of the person, just a reflection of the person but with their own personality.

I'm really hoping I'm conveying this right. I’ll pull some examples from above. The petite feminine girl is outgoing but her small and pink soul is shy and sometimes needs a bit of coaxing. The confident man’s soul is big but it is calm or lazy. The timid person’s soul is small and quivering but it does have an outgoing streak for particular activities.

In this world, soulmates are known when two souls meet and they flash with a bioluminescent-like light. Then the souls are pretty much inseparable. It's not a common occurrence to experience a soulmate. But it's not entirely rare either. It's seen often enough for it to be a known thing. Like winning the lottery.

Also, in professional settings, souls are typically not shown or allowed to be wandering around. It's viewed as extremely unprofessional like coming into work in your underwear.

In other instances, like public spaces, it's okay as long as your soul isn't bothering or being aggressive to another. There are places where it is more than okay for souls to mingle and those are the typical bars, dates, dance clubs, etc.

Having your soul mingle with potential partners gives you a great idea about compatibility with the other person. What that looks like varies from the individual as preferences vary in individuals. But typical good compatibility are the two souls vibing with each other and getting along.

Onto the actual idea.

YC has recently begun a new job as the new head of manufacturing at a large corporation. Before assuming the role, he is being trained by his retiring predecessor. YC is responsible for coordinating with the sales team to guarantee that all orders are fulfilled in a timely manner, among other things.

However, manufacturing and sales have a strained relationship. Similar to cats and dogs, essentially. The retiring predecessor's closeness to a sales lead is the only thing keeping the teams working together.

The sole sales lead (MC) who is willing to meet with YC is a rigid perfectionist who routinely sends last minute tasks to the production line.

After a few too many drinks, colleagues begin to wind down and souls emerge to mingle at the retiring party. YC's soul meets its soulmate, a cute rosy-pink soul connected to MC.

Husband for Sale

I literally do not have much for this one. Originally in a modern setting but we could mix it up and put it in a different setting. This is what I’ve got so far:

YC is a single father of a young girl. He is also very, very, very busy (with work or running a mafia group, whatever). He comes across a service that provides “your partner of your dreams”.

Essentially, you purchase a contract with a person and they play the role you desire. And YC purchases a contract with MC.

Alien and former fed agent

Futuristic / Fantasy thing here. Sort of inspired by Mass Effect Andromeda. Sort of inspired by Star Wars.

You’re the alien. I’m the former fed.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…

Concerned by the rising power of an empire, a small rebellion was formed. This rebellion group traveled throughout the galaxy to impoverished planets affected by the empire to rebuild the societies and train the people to take back their home planets. The rebellion group was successful in their efforts and helped planet after planet.

Like most organizations, the group grew too fast. And requiring more officers in leadership positions, the people who filled in the roles were not vetted properly. The original goals of the rebellion group became a distant thought and the personal goals of the leading officers became the mission.

The rebellion that once wanted peace and prosperity turned into a Federation that wanted control and power. A Federation that could be merciful one day and merciless the next. It saved people. It killed people. And it continued to grow and conquer.

Now, space is divided between the empire and the Federation.

MC is a former federation agent with an arrest warrant placed by the Federation. He’s on the run and there is a huuuuge bounty on his (alive) head.

YC is an alien - a species that was nearly eliminated by the Federation. His people were forced to leave their home planet and fled to live secluded lives on another planet, hidden away from Federation eyes. YC is a bounty hunter / opportunist. It could be that he works alone or he works with a small group of his own people.

YC and MC cross paths and YC arrests MC for the bounty. Now, YC has to navigate through treacherous space to enter Federation space to get his bounty.

I don’t have much of a plot. That is the beginning stages of stuff.

Alien: I would like a tail and fancy colored skin like blue or something. He can be big and he can be stronger than a human.

New plot idea for Fantasy RP

Every year, the Kingdom hosts competitions for the guilds to display their skills in front of the King and people. However, this year’s competitions are open to the public (with huge cash prizes for the winners). But, there are a few rules: a guild member must be a part of the group, there must be 5 players, and the group must pass the qualification check. With Alistar’s arrival, the group completes all the conditions and enters the games. They finish fourth place and receive no prizes. They gather outside of the castle, defeated, when a young nobleman approaches them and expresses admiration for their performance. He sets them a quest: to find and return home with his love who has gone missing. What should have been a straightforward quest becomes deadly when they mistakenly run into a rising Dark Magic force.

Revised fantasy rp with new plot idea:

The kingdom is facing a grave threat, and every knight the King sent out to investigate never returned. Now, the King is desperate and is calling for all guild members, mercenaries, and adventurers to come forward with any information they have, or investigate the threat themselves. The group investigates the threat.
