The Ninetales' attack scorched Sableye's leg. She hissed and hobbled a bit - that burn would weaken some of her ability to hit hard. But there was plenty of fight left in her.
Barley furrowed his brow, focused in thought. Then a plan came to him when Sarah sent out an Alakazam. He smirked and recalled the sleeping Fearow. A Scrafty took its place. The ruffian Pokemon took a few seconds to observe the battlefield.
"Sableye, Mean Look on Alakazam!"
Sableye sent a spine-chilling glare Alakazam's way. The move would prevent Alakazam from switching out or running away... quite a useful move in Barley's arsenal.
The cages were specially designed to hold Pokemon, and thus held strong even against Pokemon attacks. Espeon made a few scrapes in the glass, but it would take much more power or time to break open a cage.

Nothing got past a watchful sky-high hunter like Fearow. As soon as the Kabuto cage moved, it inhaled a big breath to caw out a warning. But then the breath turned into a yawn, and soon Fearow was on the ground, succumbing to the lullaby.
Sableye rolled her eyes at her lazy teammate. She was too clever to lose to a move like that. Ringmaster Barley also stayed strong.
"Take out the Ninetales with Power Gem," Barley commanded.
Sableye grinned as a vortex of jewels swirled around her. The strong rock-type attack streamed toward Eski.
Barley then turned to Fearow and tried to scream it awake.
"Wake up, you birdbrain! You're better than this!!"

Ok, we'll just have to learn and communicate that if a Blackmist16 post leaves off in the middle of a sentence, it's probably not finished yet and we need to wait. Or you could label your not-done-yet posts as not-done-yet.
@Blackmist16Agreed, it's difficult to roleplay with half-finished posts. Everyone that posts after you might have to change what they wrote if you change what you wrote.
I am LOVING playing this villain, btw. He's so exaggeratedly terrible.

"HEY, you can't barge in there without paying!" Ringmaster Barley shouted as he chased Sarah inside. He grimaced when he noticed the intruding trainer's reaction, as well as the starting conflict between Sableye and another angry Pokemon. The ringmaster panicked and backpedaled for a second, but then he decided to hold his ground.
"Clearly, you are one of those well-meaning trainers who's too naive to get what's really going on here," Barley addressed Sarah, feebly attempting to keep his cool. "Ancient Pokemon prefer a small, simple existence. All the sights and sounds of the modern world would be too much for their primitive little brains... trust me, this is what's best for them."
Sableye cackled and scurried over to stand in front of her master. With the pop of a pokeball, a Fearow appeared next to her, staring at Eski with its keen eye.
"As for you," Barley continued, glowering at Faye. "I will not tolerate sneaks trying to scope out my business. You'd better leave now. You are trespassing on my rightful property, and we won't hesitate to fight for it."
