1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

@Blackmist16There wasn't much new to say about him, but I'll add a little bit to my last post.
Fam, we have 41 IC posts. That is a lot. Good job.
Trillo kept watching the trainer and Minccino with its beady eyes. He went back into his shell again - but this time, he curled up and Hardened in a way that would prepare him to handle more attempts to break the glass.

Scrafty grunted as he took a glancing blow from the Shadow Ball. It slowed him down, but not too much.

"Crunch again, but hit it this time!" Barley shouted. Scrafty complied, chomping at Gengar again.

Sableye cackled as Eski fell. Then a Psybeam hit her full-on in the face... but she only laughed louder. A mind as Dark as hers couldn't be damaged by Psychic tricks. Her snickering finally stopped when some sort of pink fluffy enemy appeared.

Barley also frowned at the new Sylveon and considered for a second before continuing the attack.

"Shadow Claw!"

Sableye wavered for a second, sizing up the Sylveon. Her one weakness... sweetness. Even then, she could probably take on a Sylveon... if she wasn't suffering from a worsening burn. Nah, that was a dumb idea. She had a better one.

"If ya care so much about deese dumb Pokemon," Sableye hissed, "ya shouldn't start fights around 'em. Someone could get hurt." The ghost's feet phased through Arctozolt's cage. "If ya don't turn tail in ten seconds, I can make dis guy go extinct again."

To prove her point, Sableye phased the rest of the way into the cage and slashed Arctozolt across the snout with a Shadow Claw. The electric type fell back and moaned, barely conscious.

Barley raised his brows for a second and then turned red. He did NOT like his Pokemon disobeying him like that! Well... he supposed she technically followed his command, her own way. That Sableye was just going to improv sometimes, and he couldn't change that.
Well, I'll give you some time if you want to think about it. Even if Alis posts soon, I won't post again for another few hours at least.
If we wanted to have more of a free roleplay form, maybe we could set a rule for a certain number of dodges allowed per battle or per Pokemon.
@Blackmist16I would be like that. I also recognize that I am a big nerd about the details, and maybe all that is overly uptight and restrictive for a free RP. @Vampiretwilight, it's ultimately your RP, what do you think? I'd also be okay with occasional epic dodges if someone does something really smart, but it would have to truly be reserved for rare epic moments.
I guess other people might be thinking more along lines of the anime, where the technique "dodge" is more viable and used more often than the games. Hm... I'd like to figure out some way to make that fair without dragging battles on too long.
If everyone dodges and avoids attacks forever, I'll start dodging forever, too. Vampiretwilight happened to be the most recent, but I'm looking at everyone. A lot of fighting RPs get boring and fizzle out if nothing ever has a real effect.
"H-HEY, you can't do that!" Ringmaster Barley stammered as Sarah brought another Pokemon into the fight. "There are rules to these things, you know."

Barley began to sweat as he glanced around all the commotion. This was getting out of hand. But his team was strong, and perhaps he could get out of this situation with some of his pride.

"Sableye, guard the cage," Barley ordered. "Power Gem again. Scrafty, Crunch on Gengar."

The ghost shifted into the shadows, reappearing on top of the damaged cage. Another beam of gems zoomed toward Eski. Meanwhile, the Scrafty defiantly faced down Gengar and Alakazam. He lunged toward Gengar with chomping jaws for the dark-type Crunch.

The Arctozolt's cage had some more dents in it now, though not nearly enough to free the Pokemon. In fact, for the most part, Espeon's attack only managed to flip the cage upside-down. This jarred the Arctozolt inside, sending it into a wild fearful frenzy. The fossil Pokemon seemed to be a little damaged from the Psychic, as well, though less damage than a direct hit would cause. The cage's upside-down position also allowed the rescuing Pokemon to notice a possible way to open the cage from the bottom, but Sableye covered it with her foot before they could see any further detail.

A few streets away, Trillo huddled in his shell, overwhelmed with confusion. Was he being stolen, or rescued, or some other possibility he couldn't imagine? The fluffy Pokemon didn't look like a predator, though, so that was a little relieving. After a minute of coaxing, Trillo started to tap on the glass along with Pip. Then he shot forward with an Aqua Jet. The forceful move made a hairline crack in the cage, and a drop of water dripped out every few seconds. It also dazed the Kabuto to slam into something so hard, and he needed a minute to reorient himself.

When Alan recovered, he would be able to notice something new with the cage in its side-lying position. On the bottom of the cage was a thick, sturdy lock with a keyhole.
Oof, orchids take a lot of work. So I hear... I killed a cactus.
