1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

The Lucario did, in fact, find some keys left behind. Most people and Pokemon would've had trouble locating the small objects in the dust and a slowly fading cloud of smoke. But the aura Pokemon could pick up a bit of unusual power that, luckily, emanated from the keys. They were bronze, each with a different colored gem at the top: one red, one white, one yellow.

The Lileep huddled as her cage was jostled. She seemed too depressed to believe the good news of freedom could be true. The Arctozolt occasionally twitched in his sleep. He looked to be in bad shape, but not beyond help if he got quick medical care.
@Blackmist16 Yeah, that sounds good. I might lower his level a bit to fit in better with Alan and Pip.
Good luck with your rp, @midnightlord. I could throw in a Very Normal Person who is definitely not a lich.
Trillo considered for a few seconds.

"Alright," he replied. "If it's not too much of a bother, of course."

The fossil Pokemon scuttled forward a bit to look at the trainer, unknowingly dragging with him a chunk of glass sticking out of the back of his shell.

"So, what do the predators look like around here?" he asked Pip.

One of the Shadow Balls missed Mr. Mime among the smoke, and the Confusion was deftly dodged, but the other Shadow Ball took him by surprise. The psychic fell to his knees but struggled to get up, trying to remain in the fight.

Ringmaster Barley was now sweating through his elaborate costume in such a way that an Arcanine would no longer be necessary to sniff him out.

"What are trainers like THAT even doing in such a small dingy town?" he muttered. "What a waste. Mr. Mi--"

But the Pokemon was just finishing up an exaggerated swoon as he fainted. Barley rolled his eyes and returned the Pokemon. Hmm, this was a tough spot. He still had a fairly healthy Weezing and Scrafty... Scrafty could certainly take any of these Pokemon, but not all at--

Barley's thoughts were interrupted by an absolutely murderous glare from one of the opposing Pokemon. He yelped, sweaty hands fumbling around for his sixth Pokeball. After a couple attempts, he managed to release a Kadabra.

"The show must go on!" Barley growled, grasping the Pokemon's arm. He took a last-second glare at the obnoxious bleeding-heart trainers... he would remember them.

Kadabra nodded. Then -- she, Barley, and everything on Barley's person vanished. Teleported to who-knows-where.
Yeah I'm here, we're waiting on @Vampiretwilight and @Alisdragon911.
Trillo curled up in his shell as he listened to Pip.

"My name is Trillo," he replied. "I've had some humans for a while, but I don't want them."

He looked back at the broken cage.

"Do you know... well, probably not." The Kabuto sighed. "How do I get back to the ocean? Oh yeah, and thanks for helping me." Trillo felt a bit embarrassed that he had forgotten his manners in the chaos.

Barley was just about to put the key in the lock when a flash of light caught his eye. He scrambled away just in time to avoid the blaze. The keys slipped out of his hand for a second, and he fumbled with them before managing to regain a firm grip.

"Why didn't you warn me?!" Barley growled at Mr. Mime. The fairy turned with a deadpan look and shrugged. Oh, right... mime.

"Never mind that," the ringmaster said. "Hypnosis, now!"

Mr. Mime weaved its arms and summoned a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of soft light, attempting to lull Arcanine to sleep. Barley crouched nearby, key in hand, ready to open the cage the second Arcanine started snoozing.
Trillo rammed into the area near the lock with one more Aqua Jet. The thick lock popped off with a CLANG, taking big chunks of its side of the cage with it.

"Free!" Trillo declared.

Then a rush of cloudy water gushed out of the broken cage, taking the Pokemon with it. The surge sent him tumbling across the ground a couple times until he came to rest on his shelled back. The Kabuto blinked for a second and then futilely waggled his claws through the air.

"Uh, less free."

Barley never moved, didn't dare to make a sound in the cover of smoke. It seemed one of the trainers left the fight for some reason, while the other wasted time calling forth a different Pokemon. Did... did they think he ran away? Barley was almost insulted by the thought... he may be many things, but he wasn't that much of a coward. Usually.

The ringmaster took a second to consider his options. As much as he wanted to show all these trainers why they messed with the wrong man, it may be better to cut his losses this time.

Barley recalled Weezing and kept out Mr. Mime.

"Stay close," he whispered to the psychic type as he quietly moved toward Lileep's cage. "Safeguard."

Mr. Mime nodded silently, in his element. With the faintest glow he could manage, he set up the protecting move. Ringmaster Barley reached the terrified Lileep's cage and pulled a keyring out of an inside pocket in his flamboyant jacket.
Trillo bobbed up and down in his version of a nod. He rammed near the lock again. One of the screws popped off, but the rest still held. The Pokemon's glowing eyes dimmed in a defeated look, but after a few seconds mustered up some more optimism. This was much closer than he imagined they would get without the steel sticks. Maybe, between the two Pokemon, this cage would break soon.

Mr. Mime let out a loud scream as the scary Pokemon appeared right in front of him. Then he blushed, remembering that a good mime is supposed to stay silent. Weezing's faces clenched in pain as the psychic wave rippled through her. She stayed strong through the blow, looking quite angry at Sylveon and the Alakazam several feet away.

Barley was starting to look red and sweaty, a combination between nerves and the hot ringleader suit that was really not convenient in this situation. His eyes darted around the battlefield. He could send out more Pokemon... but he would have a hard time keeping track of more than two at once. He could... no, not yet.

"Weezing, Smokescreen. Mr. Mime, Light Screen."

Going with a defensive strategy this turn, Mr. Mime pantomimed a wide wall around himself. The area around his team shimmered gold for an instant, signifying a barrier against special attacks. Then, a thick cloud of purplish-black smoke billowed out of Weezings's mouths. The area around Weezing and Mr. Mime was obscured, as well as Barley, making them harder to find.

As Faye worked on picking the lock, the hairpin suddenly burned white-hot in her hand. A spark of flame also hit the unconscious Arctozolt inside.
@Blackmist16 You latest post currently says WIP, but it also looks like a complete post to me. I won't be able to RP for most of the day, so I'll go ahead and respond so other people can make their next posts. If your post is actually still a WIP, you can yell at me later and I can change our part. I know our part is going kinda slow, but technically you would be several minutes ahead after carrying a tank full of water across town.
*there is a lock with a keyhole*
*@Blackmist16 tries to do everything possible with a lock except open it with a key*

Darn you, your creative solutions frustrate me, I must begrudgingly reward you. XD
