1. I'm in school to become a physical therapist assistant! (Did it!)

2. I will quit any roleplay that has been inactive IC for one month for any reason. I've been in too many Schrodinger's RP's and I'm not doing that anymore.

@Vampiretwilight Well, I just asked a pertinent question to other players, so it might be best to wait for their input before posting again anyway.

@Kenshi I'd still like to hear which option you would prefer, even if Moonshadow comes in with a different opinion later.
@Moonshadow@Kenshi Do you want the rest of us to meet you at the library? Or would you rather not?

Kabir has been promoted to OC on account of probably joining the rest of the group in their crazy shenanigans.
Aaranya & Kabir Singh

Aaranya curled in on herself, limbs and thoughts, a blade of grass touched by fire. One spark undoused fates the field ablaze. No faded leaf could ask the great tree to fall with it, yet here they were, swirling twisting in the wind, unseverable stem.

Kabir left to get the tea. He used that separation as an excuse to pace the kitchen, wring his hands, run through a whiplash of emotion. Of course he was panicking, of course he was swirling with guilt and shame over uprooting his life, abandoning family, responsibilities to the town, the ever-muffled voice of what Kabir wanted. But he couldn't be those things in front of the young women. It was time to take a breath, man up, be a stable solid rock.

As Kabir took the Darjeeling tea off the stove and gathered some mugs, he ran through some options for hiding Aaranya. Who owed him a favor? ...That big of a favor? Kabir worked as an accountant and tax advisor for a few small businesses in town. Maybe he could bribe them with free services or otherwise convince them to hide his sister for one day.

"If we want a building," Kabir began as he reentered the living room, "I can think of two slight maybe options. There's a diner that I helped survive a complicated tax mishap a couple years ago. The diner itself is too public, but one of their houses might do. There's also the library. They don't have as strong of a reason to owe me a favor, but I have worked with them a few times, and there are some hidden areas for more valuable books in case we're more worried about searches."

The man paused and looked between the quiet women.

"Do either of you have any better ideas? And how many sugars in your tea?"

@Vampiretwilight
Oh, and our Pokemon are roughly level 10-15ish. You can choose to have a full team or not. If you have fewer Pokemon, you might be able to have higher levels, as long as it's not way ahead of the pack.
@TheDemonHound Yoooo, welcome! I... don't have authority here, so I can't make official decisions. But we probably have room for more! Check out the character sheet in the first OOC post and get started.

There's a lot of lore you can look at, but for a basic description of immediate things you would need to know to start: The group has just arrived in Vareena Town, home of the grass type gym and a Pokemon Contest hall. Right now they have just started a run-in with Team Noble, the mysterious villainous group of the region. The grunts have some sort of protection around them that sort of psychically forces people's attention away from them. (Essentially this means any other character nearby, including yours, would have to be alerted to their presence before they could join in.)

Most of the characters are converging there right now. If you don't want to jump right into the battle, you could also hang out with Ty at the Pokemon Center or Oscar en route to the Contest Hall (I think?).

You can also check out the Discord link in the 0th post if you want to hang out with us there.
"N-no. It's my problem, my fault. I can't drag anyone else into the forest, especially not now."

Aaranya finally acting like a real Main Character, haha.
Aaranya Singh

Aaranya was numb to the world. She was so starving. All of existence is but oatmeal.

Kabir caught the end of Danielle's comment. He nodded solemnly in agreement.

"It's almost broad daylight now," Kabir added. "If anyone sees you, there will be mass panic. People could get hurt, you could get hurt, and that's even without the Creature itself doing something terrible. We'll have to lay low and plan until tonight at least."

The man frowned. He glanced around the room, at the windows, as if he expected someone to be peeking in.

"But if anyone has a reason to suspect anything is off, the first place they'll look is here. We might have to think of another place to hide."

Aaranya's brown eyes widened, she registered the conversation as the world began to filter back into view.

"We?" she blurted. "N-no. It's my problem, my fault. I can't drag anyone else into the forest, especially not now."

Ty Westgrove

Vareena Pokemon Center

Ty took Amber's advice with a polite nod, though he had no need for it. The stunt trainer already had a careful protocol for introducing new members to his team. Though he might have Hunk standing by this time just in case the Litleo did turn out to be particularly feisty.

Hmm... Feisty? Hm... he'd add that name to the growing list.

Ty took a seat in the lobby and chilled for a bit. He pulled out his C-Gear and snapped a few photos of his new gym badge, finally deciding one of them looked shiny enough. He considered sending the proud photo to his family. But then Ty thought better of it and put his device away for the time being. If he sent that now, his mom would probably call constantly until he picked up the C-Gear for a thirty minute conversation. Better to wait until he was settled in for the evening.

"There's trouble, someone's got our friend, get help!"

The blond perked up for a second and then tilted his head in a mixed look of confusion and concern. The... the heck was THAT? A hallucination? Or some kind of great intuition? But why would his intuition speak in Sophia's voice? .....Yeah, he was hallucinating. That was a bad sign.

Ty pulled his C-Gear back out and started fiddling with the settings, attempting to take his mind off the hallucinated problem. But he couldn't concentrate on anything, and his fingers began to drum nervously. That hallucination did sound pretty anxious...

Ty let out a long defeated sigh and walked just outside the Pokemon Center. He looked a little embarrassed as he released Reaper.

"Hey," the punk began with a weak smile. "It's probably nothing, but can you fly up and check on Sophia and them? They went to the shopping district, over that way. Come back when you see them."

To Ty's relief, the Scyther didn't question his trainer. He was just happy for a reason to get out and stretch his wings. The bug zipped into the sky, doing an obligatory barrel roll before heading off toward the shopping district.

Ty frowned and walked back into the Pokemon Center. Well, if he was having hallucinations, at least this building full of trained medical professionals was a decent place to hang out. Ty glanced down at his single remaining pokeball, wondering if the Igglybuff's training included how to tell if a person was going crazy.
Eric tried his best to keep his mind on the scenery as they traveled, to take his focus away from his throbbing ankle. Everything looked spacious and well-kept as far as he could tell. Perhaps a little too spacious, though... he wondered how a small number of people and Pokemon could protect the whole ranch from predators and poachers.

Eric was particularly impressed by the glimpse of a Ditto. Those were pretty rare, and he had never seen a baby Ditto before. He made a mental note to ask the ranch owners for permission to photograph the pink Pokemon later.

Eric thanked the women again as they set him up on the couch. He took off the hefty leafy disguise covering his back, rustling as it dropped to the floor. He was left in a sensible gray and black outfit. Eric took out his camera to view the photos he had taken of that mismatched wild Pokemon group over the past couple days. Then a thought occurred to him.

"I observed some wild Pokemon carrying some clearly man-made food a short while ago. Do you think it may have come from here?"
YOOOOO today is Pokemon's 25th anniversary!
