Current And maybe most people don't like getting a single line back in response to a few paragraphs? Like whatever floats your boat, but there's a reason Free exists.

If the man's is asking for a ban, might as well give it to him. Good riddance.

Then you'd just be crying about why it's permanent instead.

He didn't mind the small conversation that the two of them had as he simply continued to focus on keeping his breathing even and under control. Eventually the pain receded until it was bearable and with a grimace Valair forced himself to sit upright and opened his eyes slowly. A quiet hiss of discomfort at the light that seemed to bright aside, he wiped at his face again and sighed slowly when he felt the bleeding had stopped. A glance at his shirt revealed more than enough bloodstains to normally consider it ruined, but it wasn't like he could just go home and grab another from the closet. No... even if it made him look like a criminal, he would have to live with his current attire. At least he seemed to be recovering if his thoughts could wander like that.

"This ain't Kansas far," he muttered quietly as he finally looked up at the new girl who had apparently been dropped in with their group. Looked to be around the age where she would still be in school, though high school or university/college was questionable. Any further considerations were put off until a later moment when an ethereal figure behind the girl suddenly appeared to him.

It wasn't like the indistinct figure swirled into existence or anything, he simply noticed the being behind her in between a blink of the eye. His heart rate spiked, and a grimace marred his expression as the hint of panic set his headache straight back into migraine status. Yet Valair refused to drop his eyes away from this odd being that had appeared. A few moments passed as it toyed with Shannon's phone, and he could feel his heart rate begin to settle and the pain dull once again. It was certainly odd, even with its humanoid form, but he did not, almost couldn't, feel threatened by it. Its mannerisms certainly had something to do with it, but it had more to do with the fact that it seemed incomplete? Not whole? It was hard to describe and his current state of mind and body didn't make it any easier.

He flinched when the creature landed before him with nary a sound, and watched warily at first and then curiously as it manifested glass, than water, and handed it to him. He accepted it with a bit of hesitation, and drank slowly as he watched the odd being bow towards the three of them. It was a welcome relief for his sore throat, though he forced himself to move the glass away from his lips when the glass was half full. Coughing to clear his throat, even if it was a bit painful, Valair tipped his head forward in a polite bow to the creature and tried to say, as clearly as he could, "Thank you."

Well, Cran at least didn’t struggle and allowed himself to be led out of the lab without any trouble. He could only imagine that Thoth might have had a heart attack or something if he had been forced to actually drag the older man outside. Their pace was a bit slower than he would have liked, but with an injured party it was basically unavoidable. Still… one district faded to another as he walked without pause, and eventually the sole God’s temple came into sight.

“Yeah, she was a Goddess. Doesn’t take nonsense well as you’ve probably realized,” he said as he began to climb the flight of steps that led up to the temple, pausing occasionally to make sure Cran kept up.

Once at the top he glanced around for a moment before he approached the gates in the wall that surrounded the gate. Mustering a bit of his strength given the size of them, he knocked sharply before standing back and waiting for an answer. Regardless of who answered he would simply gesture towards Cran and explain that the man had some cracked ribs in need of a healing touch.
“Hey… Hey!”

He jolted awake with a start and resisted the urge to glance around at his surroundings, focusing on the startled man in front of him instead. He stared away at the sight of the foreign stranger, and the fellow’s appearance prompted him to take in his surroundings instead. “Wha-” To say he was confused would have been an understatement and he fought to control his breathing, ultimately successful as he took in the futuristic skyscrapers of glass and steel that surround him and blot out the sun.

“I understand you must be confused.” Hearing the stranger’s soft tone, he turned his attention back to the dark-skinned man, mouth open to ask questions. “Please,” the man said as he held a hand up, “just let me explain. You can ask any questions afterwards.” He shut his mouth and nodded in reply, evidently satisfying the helpful stranger.

The stranger certainly wove a fanciful tale for him to hear and his disbelief had only grown when all was said and done. ‘Impossible,’ was of course his thought towards this apparent utopia. Unflinchingly, he sank his teeth into the back of his hand and bit into the skin and flesh. An unexpected reaction given the stranger’s yell of surprise, though he was in enough pain to not pay it too much attention. Yet as he grit his teeth, tasting blood on his tongue, he could also see the self-inflicted wound begin to heal itself. “Well, that’s one way to test things,” the stranger said as he tugged at the collar of his shirt, apparently a bit startled and wary of Sorano if his glances were any indication.

“Sorry,” he muttered as he spit the blood from his mouth with a grimace. The pain had quickly began to disappear as the wound healed itself, though his clothes were now a bit bloody. Well, it wouldn’t be much of an issue if what the stranger had said was true. “Just hard to believe… still not sure if I’m not just dead.” He ran a hand through his hair and scratched the back of his head in frustration as the stranger nodded in apparent agreement.

“Yeah. Some people do think this is heaven of sorts, and I can’t really blame them. In any case, allow me to be the first to welcome you to Paradise City. Name’s Francis.” The stranger finally stood, offering a helping hand that he took to get to his feet.

“Thanks… I’ll take a look around myself for now.”

“Alright then, if you need help don’t be afraid to ask. Everyone should be more than willing to.” With that, the two of them finally went about their separate ways. He was a bit surprised to find that he didn’t have any problems with moving around after a coma of unknown length. It probably had something to do with the magical healing that kept everyone alive in the city. Though it wasn’t obvious, he could still feel the stares of people on him as he walked amongst them. Francis had said that everyone wound up here in these sort of clothes, so frankly he wanted out of them as quickly as possible.

It didn’t take too long to find a “store” where he managed to get an entirely new outfit tailored for him on the spot. An unusual experience to be certain, but one he didn’t have too much issue with as he swapped his clothes. His next task wasn’t much harder, but did take a while longer since the shops capable of manufacturing such an object didn’t seem to be as commonplace. As Francis had said though, people were more than happy to point him in the right direction with but a question.

It was an odd experience to walk through so many different districts in the span of less than a kilometer and he was honestly still reeling as he stepped inside the store. Hell, he could have sworn there was a block that took from ancient Rome if his memories were correct! He blinked a few times, lost in consideration, before an automated greeting snapped him out of it.

It took a bit longer than his clothes, but ultimately he managed to get a nice bike fabricated for him within minutes. Honestly he didn’t care too much about how he got it, and couldn’t help but grin when he turned the ignition and felt it come to life beneath him. As a set of garage doors opened at the sound of a rumbling engine, he flipped the visor down on his helmet and peeled out of the store with a sharp screech.
@Balthazar007 Motorcycle? :3 Sorano needs to go vroom, vroom for nostalgia.
@Balthazar007

I don't suppose vehicles are a thing?
Aww, no base-jumping without a parachute then...

Sure you could. Would just blackout from the pain and wake up a few hours later without a problem, hopefully.

Or stay conscious and scream bloody murder until throat gives out.

Name: Sorano Moriya
Age: 27
Level: 1

Appearance: Tall for his ethnicity, Sorano stands at 6’3 (1.91m) and has a fairly muscular build that puts him at 189lb. (86kg). His hair would probably reach his shoulder blades if it weren’t for the fact that he keeps it tied up in a ponytail. Generally has some stubble on the chin.

Biography: Born in 1977 in Japan, Sorano grew up below the poverty line. His parents were rarely around to watch him, even from a young age, and thus it was rare that he would spend more than a few hours at home alone each day. He quickly found some nice hangout spots to simply relax at each day, and endeared himself to those without children. He was curious, but polite and always eager to listen whenever someone had something to tell him. Granted he wasn’t the smartest, so he didn’t always understand what the adults went off about, but he paid attention.

Things didn’t really change too much for him as he grew older in this small town. While he remained only average in terms of academics, genetics seemed to have given him a boon in terms of physique. Through puberty he quickly grew taller and stronger than most of those his age and even a good deal of the adults. His personality didn’t really change all that much though and he began to help out and pay back those who had kept him company when he was younger and his parents weren’t home.

After he finished with high school, rather than pursue any sort of higher education immediately, Sorano enlisted in the JSDF. When he left, he found training and eventually work as an auto mechanic, given it was sort of his passion and he would work on his own car and bike whenever he could. Unfortunately, he wound up in an accident while out on a ride with his bike. Whoever was to blame, the result was that Sorano was in a coma indefinitely with prospects of recovery iffy at best. Taken from Japan in the early 2000’s, Sorano has adjusted to this strange new world admirably well. Considering his situation before this, it’s an improvement anyways.

Seriously... had this person been under a rock since the Deities had descended? He didn't think it was possible for someone to be so uninformed, but apparently people were full of surprises. "Come on let's go. Again, sorry for the bother Goddess." With that he would strong arm Cran out of the lab if necessary and head east for Vishnu's temples in hopes the God would be able to heal and then take the clueless man under his wing.
Yeah, just working on it. Almost done.
