Name: Zaheed Kast
Gender: Male
Species: Human - Mandalorian
Age: 29

Personality:

Calm, and collected, Zaheed Kast, better known as just "Kast", is a highly disciplined, and efficient, if aloof Mandalorian mercenary. Selling his services to the highest bidder, Kast avoids forming personal connections and prefers to remain professional and formal. Able to maintain his cool under fire, Kast is capable of operating at peak efficiency in high stress situations, and is quick of mind as well as action. Kast, is extremely analytical and often picks up on small details, as a result of him typically operating by himself or with a small group of people. He is slow to trust others, believing strongly in the greed of individuals over any morals they claim to have. The exception to this is when Kast is in the presence of another Mandalorian, where he is much more open, and much more willing to trust. Living loosely by the values of the Mandalorians, Kast considers himself an honorable mercenary, and therefore many cuts above typical mercs and guns for hire.

Skills:

- As a Mandalorian, Kast has been extensively trained in the arts of war. Due to years of training, as well as several years as a mercenary, Kast is well versed in:
- Marksmanship
- Close Quarters Combat
- Tracking
- Weapons and armor use
- Small squad tactics
- Individual tactics
- Stealth and Espionage
- Torture techniques and defense
- Starship flight

Equipment:

Beskar'gam - Kast wears a highly customized suit of Mandalorian armor forged form beskar, or Mandalorian Iron. This high quality armor is both extremely durable and protective, and has served Kast well over the course of the last decade. While the body of the armor was forged with help from his family, Kast wears a newer, custom tailored helmet with a built in HUD. The new helmet replaces the sweeping edges of the typical Mandalorian helmet, with rounded surfaces. His armor's undersuit is made from armorweave, as is the cloak he wears.

Boost Pack - Kast wears a Boost Pack, as well as a pair of jet boots, granting him limited flight. His boots, allow him maneuverability, while the pack itself provides vertical and horizontal thrust.

Wrist Mounts - Wrist mounted weapons are extremely popular amongst Mandalorians, Each of Kast's wrist gauntlets has mounts for two pieces of equipment. Kast regularly changes these pieces out to fit the situation he is in. Weapons he often mounts are: Mini-flame throwers, grappling cables, Security/Hack tools, concussion missile launchers, wrist mounted blasters, poison dart launchers, whipcord launchers and retractable blades.

Compact Blaster Rifle - A marksman rifle favored by Kast, it fires in two modes, a three round burst, or a single powerful shot.

Blaster Pistols - Kast carries a pair of custom blaster pistols with him. Like his rifle, these blaster pistols have two fire modes, a rapid two round burst, or a single more powerful shot.

Other Equipment - A veritable walking armory, Kast carries a variety of gear with him, either in easy to reach pouches, or hidden on his person. He carries a few thermal detonators, several blades, field rations, an emergency medical kit, a set of stun cuffs, and spare power cells.

Flaws:

- Rarely trusts others
- Works for the highest bidder
- Has difficulty forming meaningful relationships
- Generally cold and aloof

Personal History:
A rough and tough Mandalorian mercenary currently under the employ of Taskforce Episilon 217, Zaheed Kast was born and raised on Mandalore. Originally born as Zaheed Ara, Zaheed's parents were killed in battle when he was young, and he was subsequently adopted and renamed Zaheed Kast by another Mandalorian couple. Now the first and only son of the Kast family, Zaheed was well loved by his new family. He began his first lessons with his adoptive mother at a very young age, learning the basics of warfare as well as other various lessens of importance.

When Zaheed turned 8, he was ready to accompany his father as he began his 5 years of survival and military training. During this time, he learned the majority of his combat and survival skills, from marksmanship, to tracking and hunting. The 5 years training with his father were difficult, grueling years. His father was caring, but very traditional and strict, and enforced upon Zaheed the highest of standards, reasoning that his son should be able surpass him when he got older. It was also during this time that the Mandalorian ideals of loyalty his family and clan, discipline, courage, and respect for his heritage was stressed and ingrained into his being.

Upon turning thirteen, Zaheed underwent the rite of passage known as the Verd'goten, where the skills he learned over the last five years were put to the test. The trial was a difficult, and harsh ritual, but due to his father's strict training, Zaheed passed with what was deemed exceptional skill, he was declared officially an adults in Mandalorian society. After completing the Verd'goten, Zaheed returned to his father, whom along with several clan elders would provide him with even more advanced training over the course of the next 5 years. During these five years of extra training, Zaheed forged his helmet, and with the help of his family, forged his armor.

Upon turning 18, he left Mandalore with support from his family and began his career as a mercenary. Within his first year of mercenary work, Kast had already underwent a series of close encounters and dangerous scrapes, including losing, and later retrieving his armor, as well as almost dying several times. During his first year as a mercenary, Kast had realized that there were very few people that he could regard as honorable as a fellow Mandalorian. This first year shaped the rest of his mercenary career, as he made smarter choices, and trusted less people, and as a result complete more missions successfully and got into life threatening situations less often. He was in the employ of several groups. At times he worked as an asset for the Galactic Republic, other times he was assassinating Republic officials, or working with pirates and smugglers. Picking up a reputation as a dangerous, but dependable mercenary, capable of a variety of tasks, from killing to stealing data, Kast racked up an impressive track record of completed missions and became a go-to asset for many high profile companies and individuals.

Now over a decade after leaving Mandalore, Kast finds himself once again in the employ of the Galactic Republic as an asset for their Taskforce Episilon 217, providing his wide expertise where it may be needed.

If I may.... I just got some things from reading peoples sheets. But I'm not the GM so yeah...

@Apollo... can I just say this. I hope Eisen won't mind me saying this but I'll say it anyway. Force Sight, especially for a Mirakula doesn't work the same as regular sight. You're seeing the world in a completely different plain of view. You sense things you don't see them and that gives you a 360 coverage of your area, it also lets you know more about people just by meeting them. But you don't actually see colours, or what people or things look like. You just know that they're there.

@Viet all I'll say is you gotta remember what the Jedi and the Republic did to mandalore recently :P

Before Revan went all dark side there were the Mandalorian wars. Mandalore basically went "We have amazing people, fuck y'all." The Jedi basically stepped in with the republic and stopped them, then they split up the Mandalorian clans all across the planets surface basically fracturing their infrastructure down to farms and homesteads. That is the reason Mandalorians always hate Jedi, they eventually get "Meh" with the republic but they really hate Jedi. Be interesting to see you interacting with Jedi :P

@vietmyke: Your approved, and like Sep has been so helpfully pointing out (And I'm not being sarcastic, I do appreciate it), a fair bit of tension will exist between most mandolorians and the Jedi.

@Renny: I dont mind being an untrained force sensitive, but considering the potentially galaxy spanning nature of this, I would appreciate having at least some allegiance to one side or the other, to facilitate keeping your character along with everyone else and not getting left behind.

@Blackbeard: Well, once everyone who is working on a CS is done, I have one more person who should be coming in but after that, I'll be starting up on an intro post with the current cast in mind. But I won't wait too long, since I don't want to stall out before we even start, so I'll have an IC post up within the next few days, at the latest.

@Sep: Welcome to the Taskforce, Master Rorwoor. And no worries about adding to the history as IC events progress, and I do appreciate you putting some basics down for personality, as well, even if your not fond of having to.

Alright, so, as I have said before, once I get the first IC post up, I'll make the two PM threads for all Republic and Sith characters, pass along necessary information as needed, and give ya'll a means to conspire in secrecy with one another on each side. Sith, this will include a lot more details about the superweapon mentioned before as well as local presence in any given episode, Republic, this will include greater details about the home station and assets being deployed on any given mission during an episode. As well as whatever else I feel is necessary to give out, or think to do so.

Hey, I'm here to help. I mean I'll probably take a gander at most sheets, it's always nice to have a second set of eyes on things.

In terms of Rorwoorr yeah uh, I put down what I had. But likely expect more history coming to light, even of other former Padawans.

Oh yeah, Mandalorian wars, I remember that. Thats like... why more Mandalorians started being mercenaries or something like that.

Lol but oh definitely I can see there being some degree of animosity between Kast and the Jedi here on the team. But at the same time, I think that character friction will make for much better character development than everyone being all samey

Edit: For example, Enalais' Jedi character is essentially the polar opposite of Kast, Lucina is emotional and happy and forms bonds very easily, whereas Kast is cold and aloof and avoids personal bonds. I can already see plenty to do with just those two characters alone

"Death... is something that's unmistakable,
normally seen on the face of those without breath.
So why do I see it in my reflection?"

Name: Naraal Vrail
Gender: M
Species: Near-Human
Age: 17
Homeworld: Outer Rim

Physical Appearance: Naraal is of human descent, perhaps at one time his ancestors had a bit of near-human in the family tree, which is the typical explanation for his silver eyes. He occasionally wears a mischievous countenance on his face, but his innocent composure and bogus don't-know-how personality usually sways others to disregard this. Standing at a height five-foot-seven with a slim build, ravenous hair falling around his face in a near-feminine manner, Naraal is quite handsome and wildly popular. His face hides beneath the surface, a very tangible animal mentality to his face.

Personality: Early in his ways, Naraal is not too concerned with the dangers of the Galaxy or the conflict between the Republic and Sith. His recklessness is a key cornerstone of his persona, along with an insatiable hunger for knowledge. While actively pursuing his own ideals and power, he has ignored the subtle signs of the force and the influence he has on others. His morals compass is broken, he cares little for the ripples that may come from actions, only knowing the here and now. He wishes only to live until he no longer can.

Skills:
- Force user
- Charismatic
- Insightful

Equipment:
- Dark Robes
- Clothes
- Pendant holding a blood-red crystal
- Goggles

Powers:
- Force Pull/Push
- Force Sense
- Force Bond (charisma)

Flaws:
- Unable to pilot a ship
- Overall weak, both physically and mentally
- Fickle
- Curious to a fault
- Reckless
- Easily Swayed
- Has yet to receive a Lightsaber/Training

Personal History: Born on a jungle planet situated just inside the Outer Rim, Naraal was the son of Jedi Knight Kale Starchaser, whose deeds and actions were renowned for being eccentric. Missing Naraal's birth, Kale was ignorant of the force sensitive child for two years. In the meantime, Naraal's mother: Lilmis Vrail, was at a loss for her energetic child. At the age of one, he was instinctively touching the force, bonding with his mother and others around him easily. When Kale returned to the planet, he was surprised by the amount of potential his son had brewing inside of him.

For years, up until Naraal had reached the age of 16, whenever Kale returned home he would educate Nari (Naraal) in the ways of the force, or at least what he deemed necessary. During his last visit, after much consideration, Kale decided that he would present Naraal to the Jedi for recruitment. After a bit of convincing, Lilmis agreed and the three of them were off. However, it would seem that his mother had a insidious plan for him. In a sweeping slash of deception, Naraal watched his mother lay waste to his father. Something he doubted his father saw coming; Naraal was mentally afflicted by the scene.

Days later, a rather easy-going Naraal found himself being given to a group of robed figures, some deal between "siths" and his mother was all he understood. As Limis passed him along, Naraal found the concept of losing both his parents hitting him harshly. He wasn't convinced his mother was giving him up until he had been handcuffed and drifting on a starship for days. When they arrived at their destination, the robed figures led him to cavernous spring, the energy in it dense and chilling. At the back of the cave stood an enigmatic, yet undeniable malignant being. The moment Naraal begin to speak, his mother's head was tossed towards him, her eyes open and lifeless.

The being described himself as a catalyst for change before building upon Naraal's obvious hatred and anguish, manipulating his tears and sadness until the boy was but a shell... a shell left alone with only his umbrage. For two months, the being went without name or reason for his actions. He watched with a odd amount of joy as Naraal attempted to gather himself back into a whole. When he did, a obvious calm was resting over the boy, a calm that intrigued the being endlessly. He whispered words of the dark side and its functions, telling him that the galaxy was going to become turbulent... lawless. Naraal shrugged his shoulders and welcomed the revelation effortlessly, expressing that his life had already ended, that it wouldn't be fair if everyone's weren't. Taking him on as an apprentice of sorts, the being taught him the basics of the dark side.

How to tap into his rage, feed off the fear of the innocent and consolidate that hatred into a physical and tangible strength. In ghastly whispers that often displayed his confusion, he mentioned that Naraal's relationship with the dark side was a mystery in itself. That it puzzled him that the youth had not been overtaken by betrayals and anguish, and yet held such a fathomless understanding of the dark sides primordial concepts. Pressed for time, the being ended the youth's training prematurely and sent him off on his own to learn the rest. Before leaving, the being gave the boy a pendent to wear and keep, he was told never to lose it, for it would become detrimental to his strength and therein the Remnants'.

"You'll become a powerful Sith one day. Go boy... learn through pain and conflict, through loneliness... then seek me out."

@Renny: I'm denying you for now, although like I said to Apollo before, your welcome to make some edits to fix some of the stuff I'm have issue with.

First off, what side is he on? Like I said before, it will be more beneficial for all parties involved for the characters to have some allegiance to one side, or the other, in the terms of this RP. Second off, and probably one of the biggest reasons, is the amount of different force powers he has access to for a 16 year old with only sporadic training from his father over the span of 14 years from one individual, and no other formal training what so ever. Those are my two major problems with your sheet, address those and we'll see about getting you accepted then.

@drallinix: I apologize for missing yours, that was my mistake. I am going to deny it for the moment, however, for a few reasons.

Alright, at 19 years old, he is a "master of the lightsaber" while being effective at djem so, soresu, and juyo. Coupled with a nondescript extreme power in the force, which apparently can be up to ripping small starships apart, he seems just a bit more overpowered then I would expect from just a 19 year old who never fully finished his training. And there are quite a few problems with your bio, going from there. The Sith Empire formally fell 1100 Years prior to the events in this RP, so your mother dying when the Empire falling is kind of out of place in the timeline of things. You also didn't really meet the 2-3 paragraphs I asked for as well. Just putting it into a bunch of fragmented, shortened sentences doesn't really mean anything. Like I said to Renny, patch up this stuff and we'll see about getting you accepted then

And I apologize to any and all if I come across as a hardass, I just don't want to see someone, without a reasonable justification or background for it, be able to utterly destroy all other parties involved. Combat, while present, won't be the whole aspect of the RP. A big thing to keep in mind is age versus experience, a 22 year old will be far less trained and experienced then, say, someone over 300 years old (Yes, I am referencing two other characters in the RP, who are good examples of what to do in this case). Are there exceptions, yes, rarely, but please try to keep that within reason.
