The green-haired mage gave a light pout when Zy snapped at her. She briefly contemplated tying him to the ceiling before he recanted and actually answered her question. Thusly, the smile returned. "I see," she responded simply, before Zy stormed off. Clearly he was against Ben's idea of confronting Pollux. Mary could very well understand his anger towards anything that would go against the master. After all, he actually did raise her. As far as she could tell though, there had to be something else bothering him to warrant such a reaction. Something that should be investigated, certainly.

But before Mary could follow Zy, she saw a particular young woman enter the hall. The only wizard in Fairy Tail comparable to her own ability, though far less reserved with it. Ever since Izzy had joined, Mary had paid close attention to the girl. After all, she had a magical presence much like her own. But mainly because of her disposition. She would never explain, but Mary could feel a darkness in that girl. And now Izzy had returned from some kind of mission while also making Mary look foolish for her lack of money. Furthermore, she beat Ben to the punch and asked Pollux what the Haven job was all about.

Ben took off toward the master as well, and even Sanguin that was sitting nearby also followed. Leaving Mary standing alone for a moment. "Sheesh," she let out, before sighing. She brushed some hair out of her face and skipped over to Pollux as well, though she took her sweet time. Just as Izzy was leaving, in fact, Mary arrived around all the hubbub. Pretending she didn't hear Izzy's disrespect toward the master, Mary looked up to him with a smile. "If you want, I can chaperone these guys," Mary suggested, placing an arm around Ben's shoulders as if they were long-time buddies. "The Rune Knights love me. Ever since I broke into the Commander's house and befriended his wife, they've always gotten along with me. Plus, it seems that I-... Reaper is going too so it'll probably be somewhat safe already." Mary flashed Ben a mischievous smile and then looked back to Pollux.

Pollux watched as Izzy left the guild hall, sighing. He supposed that he couldn't help it. The Master felt it wasn't his place to question the attitudes of his guild members, as he respected their decisions and supported them. He turned towards Haust and smiled, his grey whiskerys bouncing up with his cheeks.
"Well then, as I was saying," He handed Haust the Fairy Tail stamp. "Feel free to use it as you please. You're one of us now." He placed his hand on the young man's shoulder, radiating a warm and welcoming aura. Before the new recruit had any time to respond Pollux was assaulted by various guild members asking about the Haven quest. He wasn't surprised to see Ben and Mary, even Sanguin to an extent, and the only way Chloe would have missed out on this opportunity was if she was dead. The Master laughed, twirling his fingers around his long, wirey beard.
"It's good to see such eagerness amongst such young members." The Master took a seat at a bar stool, sighing with relief as soon as he sat into a comfortable position. "Now regarding the matter, I believe Reaper is already headed towards Haven; so I won't be sending you Mary. Chloe is also staying here, because I need to satisfy my granddaughter by punishing you for breaking our floors, again." He awaited the inevitable complaints, waving his hand towards Chloe as if to silence her before she could speak.
"I have an announcement to make, so I would appreciate a little space from everyone." He waved his hands, ushering the wizards to back away. With a swift motion, he placed two fingers on his throat and created an orb of magical light inside of his neck. Opening his mouth, the orb floated quickly up into the air and expanded to triple the size.
"Attention Fairy Tail!" The Master's voice boomed out from the orb of magic, even though his lips were not moving. "I have two important announcements to make. One of them you will like, the other you may not." By this point everyone's attention was fixated on the Master, who stared out over them.
"First of all, we have two new members who are joining out family. Yukiko Kaname and Haust Fildrek. Be sure to make them feel right at home." Yukiko blushed, bringing her wing up in front of her to cover her face from view. She didn't enjoy being publicly announced. There was a series of clapping and shouting in celebration of the new members. When they settled down, the Master continued to speak.
"Now for some sad news. I've talked with Alicia and a few old friends recently and have decided in all my wisdom that it is time for me to name a successor and step down as Guild Master." The silence that followed was haunting; the entire guild in shock. The guild went into an uproar, Zy included, as everyone protested the master's decision.
"What?! No way! Come on gramps you gotta be joking!" Zy yelled, standing up from his chair in a panic. He'd always known that Pollux was getting on in years, but he never thought he'd back down.
"Who's good enough to replace you, Gramps?!" Another member bellowed,
"No one! We need you Master Pollux!" The Master watched with a calm expression, before holding up his hand to silence everyone. Yukiko was glad that the yelling was over.
"I am not retiring just yet, I still need to find a successor. I have thought about this for many months and I've come to the decision that despite the incredible power and talent amongst our S Class members; none of them have the experience or wisdom that comes through age and time to run the guild. The replacement I have in mind will arrive in Fiore in exactly one month, so I will ask them then if they wish to take the position. If not, then I will remain Master until I feel one of you has matured enough to take the role." The orb of light shrunk back to normal size, floating back through Pollux's mouth and into his throat before disappearing.

Meanwhile, outside of the Guild Hall, an elderly lady with a black parasol and matching lace dress slowly trudged through the streets of Magnolia. Two frightened looking men in armour followed her while she cursed the hot weather under her breath.
"M'lady, would you like me to hold the umbrella?" One asked, but was immedietly struck across the face by the woman's wrinkled hand.
"I'd rather a wild monkey helped me, thank you very much. Now shut up. I am not in the mood for noise." She continued to walk, the man hanging his head and muttering an apology. Along the trip up towards the Guild Hall, the lady would encounter a young lady briskly leaving the hall. Not paying attention, she barely had enough time to react before she hopped out of the way; quite agile for an old woman.
"Watch where you're going missy, some of us aren't getting any younger."

The authorities were on to him, that much he knew for sure. They had found the strangled corpse of whoever's bones he broke, lying there, in the street. He had seen it with his own eyes, from a distance. He watched the wizards, though he could not understand what was said from so far away. But he knew that it was serious when the woman speaking to them had decided to march away. But what he remembered the most, was the deep longing to go back over to the strangled and broken thing. He wanted to rip it to shreds, chew it, taste it upon his tongue. He fantasized about the delicious taste, almost rushing over to indulge his cravings. But he knew that he was too weak to do so. Something reminded him that if he would have gone to the broken body, he would have attracted the attention of even more wizards. It was painful to know that he could not even dare to nibble upon the flesh of that sweet, succulent, juicy, delectable looking flesh. But he knew he was weak. He knew that, even if he were to succeed in the murdering of the crowd around the corpse, that he would be overrun and destroyed. He blinked curiously, his antlers returning to their normal size. Akal turned and disappeared into the alley he had been standing before, finding a victim that could not run. He did not look as satisfying, but he would do for now.

Shake. Shake. Shake. Shake. It didn’t stop. It wouldn’t stop. But Akal did not notice it. It was a normal thing by now. He had grown used to it. But what Akal did notice was the constant scratching of his calloused hands. He looked down at his hands, watching them. He had been resting his right hand atop his left, but the shaking of his hands caused his sharp and unkempt nails to scratch his palms ever so lightly. Despite the hardened nature of his hands, he had heard the curious sound and looked down. They were covered in blood. That tasty, delicious, savory, sweet, delectable, red liquid that he loved to lap up like a dog. A soft drip snapped Akal out of his enchantment and he noticed a thin string of saliva connecting the blood on his hand to his mouth. Breaking the strand, Akal stuck his tongue out to clean his bloodied hands. As the delicious crimson substance touched his tongue, he felt the flavor hit his mind. That delicious, other-worldly, inexplicable, and satisfying substance always tasted so delicious. But it always seemed to make his mouth feel a tad drier. Smacking his lips, he registered the taste of the rotting chunks of flesh between his teeth. It filled his heart with joy as he let his tongue dig out these chunks, so that he may let them rest on his tongue. When that failed, he took a small pointed stick from the ground beneath him and used it to dig them out by force. With his teeth cleaned and his cravings slightly satisfied, Akal was able to snap back to reality.

The corpse in front of him was shoved into the corner as far as it could go, with Akal leaning above it. Visible chunks had been torn from the flesh and in some places; these chunks went deep enough for one to see the bones of the poor soul. Akal realized that the patterns of the chunks matched those that he made while within his Reaver form. Maybe that was why he was tired. In fact, now that he thought about it, he had just woken up a few moments ago. Closing his eyes to focus on his memories, Akal knew that he had definitely been in his Reaver form. It’s not that he forgot, he always remembered being in his Reaver form, but he did just wake up, so his memory was cloudy. Humming idly underneath his breath, Akal remembered the two victims of his. One had been a young woman, whom he had beaten until her bones were broken, and then strangled her for good measure. He didn’t get to taste the sweet succulent flesh that she had, which angered Akal greatly. But he knew that he’d be seen if he stuck around. As much as he wanted to dig his nails into her skin and then rip it out to greedily devour, he could not, for he had heard people who would have seen him. It angered him. It still angered him. He wanted to dig his teeth into the fat, delicious, succulent, juicy, uncooked, raw, red, jaw-dropping flesh. But he had been denied. But he wasn’t all that angry. He was able to secure a meal in this alley, it was not as delicious looking, but it would hold him over for now. It was nice and quiet for now.

Well, that was a bit too soon. The noise of dozens, or maybe even hundreds, of different personalities came crashing down upon him. He was exhausted and could not resist them right now. He fell down, overcome by the sudden noise, and blacked out. Well, not exactly. He was back within the blackened, sensory-deprived prison that he absolutely loathed. He was there for a time, too exhausted to escape the hell. But he was able to hear the other personalities. They were fighting amongst each other, none gaining control. Akal imagined what was going on “outside”. He could almost see the body that he had taken control of, slumped over a corpse. Neither of them would respond to outside stimuli, mostly because one was dead. Speaking of which, that poor soul was probably locked up with Akal in this hell now. As if on cue, Akal could ”hear” the man’s personality panic. Hear was a loose term. Akal had no sensory functions in the traditional sense here. Instead, he had his will, a flurry of memories that weren’t his, and the strange but instinctual ability to understand pure thoughts… as well as the ever present hunger that gnawed at him. It was a strange concept. If Akal wanted to, he could think about that for an eternity. Time passed strangely here. Perhaps it didn’t pass at all. No, that was a ridiculous thought, Akal knew time passed here, the evidence lied in the fact that he was able to wrest control of the body that wasn’t really his.

Done writhing in the disgusting prison that he knew all-too-well, Akal used his will to push through the other minds. But it wasn’t just his will, but also his hunger, that allowed him to do so. They could not force him from control, at least, not permanently. Akal was thankful for that. As his senses came back to him, Akal felt that rush that came to him when he was able to see, smell, feel, taste, and hear. He blinked, looking at the mangled corpse in front of him. Leaning down, he took a bite of the man’s flesh. It wasn’t fresh flesh, but it still hit the spot. Akal figured that he’d be here for a while, so he dug his teeth deep into whatever flesh remained for him to eat. He ate with such ferocity that each bite he took produced a loud clacking noise, due to his teeth hitting each other. It would have hurt if this was not a normal occurrence. Akal loved food.

When Akal finished his meal, he stood up and stretched. Not too long had passed, so he was unable to use any magic still. But the voices in his head screamed at one another, at him, at anything they could. Pulling his cloak close, Akal left the alley and started walking along the street. The cloak did a good job of hiding his features, even though it was technically one of his features. But still, he stuck to the darker parts of the street, taking paths that few walked along. Despite the risk in staying, Akal still needed something to bring back Ishak. He had a soul, that might prove enough, but Akal wanted to give Ishak more. He wanted to give him flesh and bone as well. But he also wanted to get something in return for the beautiful meal he was forced to ignore earlier.

Akal would most likely wait until night to strike again, but he wanted to get a view of the city he was in. Haven, he believed it was called. Akal chuckled. Some haven this place was, if it was this easy to find victims. Smacking his lips together, Akal took another step forth. Click clack, click clack. There was no shaking right now. That was what Akal was focusing primarily on; not shaking. It was a rather monumental task for him. But it needed to be done in a public environment. Akal frowned at that thought. He was always so hungry in towns. The flesh around him teased him and danced around his mind. It became hard to keep himself in check, but it was even harder to do so when nobody else was there to help him with that task. But luckily, Venn was somewhere in Haven, or near Haven. They had come here together, but Venn was doing something on a rooftop or something. Akal didn't really pay attention to him, instead opting to sniff out a suitable meal.

As Akal stepped forward, the smell of grilling meat hit his nose, causing him to take a deep breath. It smelled like beef of some sort. Akal’s face contorted in disgust. The only meat worth eating was that of a human. Not an embalmed human though. They tasted like lutefisk. Akal gagged at the thought of eating an embalmed corpse and then at the thought of eating lutefisk. He had done that once. But he stopped thinking about it as he continued to focus on not shaking. Akal could not do it. He could not wander around the town. He would be caught for sure. He slunk back into the darkened alleyway that he had been in not even a few minutes ago. He gathered the bones of his victim and pondered what to with them. They had been stripped clean by him earlier, but now he had to get rid of them somehow. Deciding that the best course of action would be to simply conceal them underneath something, he moved them underneath some junk. He'd lay here for awhile, gathering enough strength to use his magic again. He sat against the wall and closed his eyes again. To any passerby, he'd just look like a homeless man, or a wanderer, just trying to get some rest. Hopefully that'd keep them from bothering him before he went out to gather some nice juicy corpses to bring back to his master. Akal licked his lips at the thought. Tasty, tasty, tasty. His stomach grumbled, but he didn't seem to notice, it was all too common nowadays.

Haven. A fairly average town in comparison to most parts of Fiore. Medium sized, but populated. It was populated enough to be targetted by the efforts of Necropolis. In order to fulfill their twisted prophecy of a new world order, they would need to sustain their leader - Ishak Dagon, with human components. Flesh, bones, blood, souls. All of these were suitable to be given to Necropolis' unholy leader. As a result, Ishak Dagon had recently released Akal on a 'collecting expedition' in Haven; it was an opportunity for him to run rampant, harvesting the bodies the dead for both his leader, and himself. Venn was also requested to embark on the same job, and was also in Haven because of this.

The God Slayer stood atop the roof of one of the buildings, and watched Akal perform his endeavors. He was essentially there to ensure that everything went smoothly, without any unwanted repercussions. He was considered to be the strongest of the Triumvirate, despite being the youngest. Likely because he was still able to make sane decisions, alongside having a powerful ancient magic by his side. Even so, he did not seem to want to join in on the collection of human parts, he was not necessarily ordered to do so, and so instead he waited for a situation to arise where he would need to take action.

“Hey hey!”

The familiar voice directly following her own made Sanguin look. Chloe's distinctive shock of turquoise hair and bright smile identified her easily, and the Blood Moon Child instinctively returned one, though of course the expression was lost beneath her mask. While not the greatest of companions, Sanguin and Chloe were friends; given their shared aggressive, hardheaded, and outgoing nature, it wasn't hard to see why. Aside from similar traits, Sanguin also enjoyed the fact that she was stronger than Chloe, which formed only part a sort of friendly rivalry. In response to the earth mage's question, she bluntly stated, “It was me.”

Compared to Chloe, the next woman to speak didn't receive nearly the warmth from Sanguin, who rolled her eyes invisibly when she realized Mary had followed her over. Worse, she was being condescending. Always so assertive of her power, Sanguin inwardly seethed, tuning out Boyce's voice.

However excited she was, Sanguin was obliged to move backward along with everyone else in the vicinity when Pollux decreed that he had an announcement. When the orb of light floated into the air, reverberating with the grandmaster's voice, Sanguin could not help but look at it and not the man who conjured; it was simply too interesting. What followed, though, interested her more. The initiation of new members in Fairy Tail always provided Sanguin enjoyment, so she made sure to mentally make note of it. This event didn't surprise her, since Pollux had practically adopted the winged girl Yukiko while the fanged man Haust had been working with the guild for a little while now.

For a moment following Pollux's declaration of his impending retirement, Sanguin was silent. Then she joined the uproar with gusto, sometimes actually making noise and not saying much of anything. The emotion given off by the dozens of wizards deeply galvanized the spirit, and it was impossible for Sanguin to not to join in. Despite this, she fell silent with the others when Pollux's voice cut through the discord.

In the wake of his closing statements, Sanguin briefly considered the candidates for succeeding the grandmaster. Naturally, Mary was too domineering, but Isabella -Sanguin never bothered with her nickname, but wisely never said her real name in her presence- was downright unpleasant. Having her in a leadership position made Sanguin shudder.

After a few moments, she closed the distance between Pollux and herself. “So...are Ben and I going?”

Amidst the uproar of the crowd in reaction to the masters announcement Ben did silent. Trapped within his own racing mind he barely heard the initiation of his new guild mates and almost missed the pending retirement of his guild master. Instead Ben had focused his attention on the new magical presence he had sensed somewhere just outside the guild hall. This feeling is something I remember from my past. Somehow I just know this presence, I've felt it before. Ben thought to himself, and was so wrapped up in that thought he couldn't shake it until Sanguine said his name. Aware that now things had calmed down a bit he could refocus on the current task.

"I'm not just going to let Reaper run headlong into Haven without backup. And I'm certain even you understand strength in numbers Master." Pollux nodded to Sanguine then turned to the boy, a slight grin escaped his lips, although petulant and often over confident he admired Ben's commitment to the guild and his friends. This drive and determination should not go unnoticed. "Calm down boy, you need to ease your mind, your so hot headed. One must learn to control his emotions, because like magic itself if you cannot control it, it shall control you. Now please, do this old man a favor and take Sanguine to Haven, even though she is strong I fear Reaper may have her hands fu..."

The doors to the guild hall were suddenly thrown open and standing in the doorway was a rather frail looking female frame eclipsing the light. Folding up her parasol and resting it under her arm, the strange woman walked toward Master Pollux. Removing her gloves and fixing her long black dress as she passed, Ben spotted a faded reddish fairy tail guild mark on her neck. She was tall, for a woman and thin, her black dress was a stark contrast to her china-white skin and it hung pleasently on her elderly body. So This is who I felt, her power is intense..and all of that magic energy comes from her? Ben thought to himself. Before he could delve further into his inner monologue, the mysterious old woman spoke.

"Pollux Vermilion, it had indeed been a long time, how are you old friend?"

There was a strange familiar sound her voice that seemed to mask anger, the guild hall went silent as the members all tried to figure out who this woman was.

Rucks sat on a set of stone steps, he wasn't sure where he was - it happened sometimes. In his hand were two balls of clay, slowly but surely moulding into spheres. They left a sticky residue on Rucks' hand but he didn't mind, he needed the clay spheres for something more important than retaining his hands dryness. The steps he sat on were cold to the touch, sometimes he still felt it seeping through his robes when he payed attention to how he'd forgotten the coldness. Soon, meaning around an hour to Rucks the two spheres were complete and he began to cast hi spell. Covering them with one hand he changed them to stone - coincidentally their original material - and then into iron or steel. He wasn't a metallurgist and he wasn't fussy. One of the balls cracked and then split, a frequent occurrence in this task, clay was too difficult to keep consistent, if it wasn't dense enough the ball split much like this one.

Sighing he held the cracked ball above a jar he had been carrying around, turning it to dust so it gathered on top of a growing pile. Unless there were a shortage of pebbles in the world Rucks could sell it off to a blacksmith - pure iron dust was rather useful. More so if it was offered melted down already. Out of his robe pocket he pulled another metal ball, almost exactly the same as the one he had just mad end e started to grind them together in his hand. It was a shitty ritual, it annoyed people around him when the balls scrapes together and made an ungodly noise but it helped Rucks clear his thoughts.

He stood up, continuing to grind to balls in his had. The step was too cold for him to keep sitting on despite it being a relatively warm day. He picked his hat up from where he sat, it was old and raggedy. The last thing he had to remember that old man by, the guild insignia he had sewn into it was starting to fade slightly and parts of it were coming loose. He was never any good at sewing, now he though about it he wasn't very go of most arts and craft. He put the hat on and pulled it over his face, he didn't need to - his mask concealed his facial featured all too well but it still felt right to him. He chuckled to himself quietly as he left the alleyway, the old mans habits had worn off if him more than he realised sometimes.

Though the permission to go see the fuss in Haven was not given, Mary didn't seem the least bothered. She released Ben and let out a disappointed sigh. His logic was sound; she wasn't actually needed for the job. Now it just meant she would have to find an alternate way to make some money today. Before she could relent and examine the job board, Pollux silenced the hall for some announcements. The first one was predicted, as Mary was very well aware of Yukiko's presence and had noticed a new face wander in earlier. The second announcement, however...

The green-haired woman stood silent and still. Two things Mary Boyce was rarely known to do. Or at any rate, not with such a devastated expression on her face. While some may think she was hurt that she wasn't considered to succeed Pollux as the Master, that was far from the truth. She had never imagined herself leading Fairy Tail before and can acknowledge a lack of maturity and leadership skills. It was the fact that Pollux was stepping down that surprised and upset her. For nearly twenty years he had been very much a father figure to Mary. It was under his guidance that she grew up. "M-m-master," Mary spoke up after some of the noise settled down, taking a few steps closer to Pollux to ensure that he could hear her.

"What are you going to do after...? Are you leaving us?" Her questions may have been poorly timed, as almost immediately after she finished the doors had opened and an elderly lady accompanied by two armor-clad men entered the hall. She hadn't particularly noticed it before, but Mary could feel the magical presence of this woman clearly now. She certainly had power, but Mary wasn't the least bit intimidated by it. Her mind was far more occupied by the present matter at hand. So what if an old lady appeared and seemed to know Pollux. The chances of that being relevant to her questions are incredibly low. She only looked at the old woman long enough to memorize her face, notice the guild mark, and look back to the Master.

"Excuse me, sir, but can you please tell me the fastest way to get to the FairyTail Guild from here? You see, I'm a little lost, and I don't really know my way around town just yet...or, well, anywhere, for that matter..."

That was an understatement. Leef was completely screwed in terms of directions. Since she was raised solely in a forest for her entire life, she hadn't known the outside world until now. And my, was it a fascinating place. Leef had never seen anything quite like it before. There were houses not just made of magical wood essence, but of all kinds of new, mysterious materials. The people wore all sorts of interesting clothing and came in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Some looked very nice, meanwhile others appeared rather grumpy, though all of which were interesting in their own way. It was nothing like the forest she'd grown up in...

She found herself talking to an elderly gentleman who looked quite similar to her master, though that was probably due to his extra large, unshaven beard. He was seated on a wooden bench just outside a small building, and, at first, Leef wasn't quite sure how to handle the situation. I mean, this was a complete stranger, the first she'd ever met since Master Vyne took her in, and he was the one who spoke to her. To openly engage in conversation with someone she didn't quite know seemed risky in her eyes, however she needed to do it... If not for her sake, then for her parents...
One month ago...

"Well, looks like this is goodbye, young one..." Master Vyne stood beside the door, his grey beard and ragged clothes a perfect blend for the wooden shack they called home. To most he would appear to be a hermit or homeless, though looks can be deceiving, as Leef had experienced many times over first hand with her master's super long lectures and teachings about Leaf Make magic and the Way of the Leaf. "I've taken the liberty of packing the essentials: food for a month, so long as you fast; water flasks all filled with clean water; a map. God knows what'll happen to you without this; and a few other miscellaneous supplies which shall assist you on your journey." He spoke like a caring father about to see his daughter off and out to the big wide world...

"I-I, uh, even my clothes?" Leef was a little embarrassed at the thoughts that ran through her mind when he nodded 'yes'. "A-ah, okay then..." Leef fell silent as she drifted towards the door, eyes glued to the ground to hide her blush. She made sure to erase it from her face when she looked up to face him again. "So... The town I'm searching for is-'

"Magnolia." Her master answered with a sigh. "Somehow I knew that was a question..." He grinned at her smugly. He knew as well as her that Leef's memory wasn't all that good. "It's on the map. In bold."

"I get it. No need to patronize me!" Leef joked as she and her master began to walk outside down the trail in the forest - perhaps the last the two may ever share again. It looked exquisitely beautiful today, as well as peaceful. The trees bristled as they walked, blowing gently in the wind. Leaves blew past their feet and flowers glistened in what dim light they had, yet even now they sparkled. Leef knew where her master was leading her. It was at the small lake area that they used to train. It truly was a miraculous sight to behold: water that glistened like diamond, a soil that was seemingly made of gold! It was...

It was home...
The memory flashed in Leef's mind like a kick starter back to reality as she retook focus unto the man.

Pollux stared intently at the woman before him, her hair was the color of faded cherry blossoms and the look in her eyes was one of determination and maybe, anger? He knew who she was, and although it had been many years since he had laid eyes upon her, he still looked at her the same way he did back then. "Well Meredith, I knew I had sensed you and to be honest hadn't expected to see you walk through those doors ever again." The masters voice had a slightly new tone, one unfamiliar to most in the guild. A hint of sadness crept off his lips, escaping with each word. "It has indeed been quite some time. Now if you would please explain to me exactly what brings you all the way to Magnolia, to my guild hall?"
Meredith pursed her lips into a rather stern look about herself with a gaze as fierce as the fire now burning withing her mind.
"With someone who understands the past we have I am deeply angry you couldn't have sent help. You know that request was from me, why have you not lent aid Haven?"
Her voice was now nearly at a yell as she stared at him getting angrier by the second, though her stern expression remained unchanged.
Master Pollux now sat, arms crossed almost defiant to the notion he could have done anything to help.
"Yes, Meredith. I am aware you are the source of the job request, however you must understand. The Council told me the Rune Knights would handle everything, I didn't want to defy them or send any of my skilled mages to a place where they wouldn't be needed, or welcome. I have many duties to uphold and I couldn't risk any kind of mark against Fairy Tail on behalf of my misjudgement." The severe tone in his voice made it apparent he understood the situation. "And now even against my better judgement I have sent Reaper off to Haven to investigate, young Ben and his friend Sanguine there will also report to the town to assist. I can assure you if the council hadn't told us to cancel the job request we would have handled this situation already."
Meredith turned now and with her eyes closed thought for a moment before speaking. "That's what worries me Pollux, what reason would the council possibly have to refuse guild help with this problem, something doesn't add up."

Upon Hearing that he and Sanguine would be joining Reaper in Haven, Ben decided he had better start on their way if they ever wanted to catch up. He and Sanguine grabbed their packs and briskly made their way to the train station. If they were lucky they might just catch the train Reaper was taking and they could avoid having to look her up in Haven.

The Magnolia train station was a whirlwind of activity, small vendors selling trinkets outside, the inner concourse a buzz of people coming and going. Reunions and departures it was a real hub of activity both commercially and personally. The people buzzed about here and there as Ben and Sanguine made their way through the crowds, bumping and weaving as they made their way to the ticket counter. After purchasing their fare, they decided to board the train together and try to locate Reaper, either way it was a decent train ride away, a few hours at most so they figured they might as well get settled. As luck would have it they were unable to find Reaper on the plan so Ben and Sanguine found a few empty seats and kicked back while they waited to arrive at their destination.
"Haven, it's been quite a while. almost 3 whole years since I'd heard of the place, now I finally get to see it for myself."
HAVEN

The train came to a sluggish stop at the Haven station, few people remained on the train as word had gotten around about the ill luck that had befallen the small town. It would be easier for the two to find Reaper now, it was dusk and the town was still, silent, almost felt abandoned.
"This doesn't feel right" said Ben. "Let's just find Reaper and stay out of trouble, sound good to you Sanguine?"
He grabbed his pack and turned to his partner, "What do you think, whats on the plan first?"

Around the corner in a small, secluded walkway a shadowy figure watched the two get off the train and immediately spotted the fact they belonged to Fairy Tail. "This is not good," the mysterious figure chanted to itself. "The master will not be pleased these little fairies are infesting his town, they must be exterminated"
Without a sound the shadowy figure dissipated into the darkness.

The combination of setting sun, brightly-colored surroundings, and serene stillness gave Haven a dreamlike quality to Sanguin. Even at the twilight hour, towns like this were never as empty-feeling as this; then again, not every settlement had managed to garner an eerie reputation in such a short time, as this one had. Stepping off the train into Haven was like stepping into an oil painting, and immediately Sanguin was weary. Wolves were wild, true enough, but they were social creatures, and a lack of life made them feel vulnerable. For the Blood Moon Child, it was no different.

“I hear you. This place is too quiet.” In comparison to the bustling, fast-pace activity that had greeted them at Magnolia Station, this was practically a graveyard. She didn't know what he meant by 'stay out of trouble', since her understanding of the job made their mission out to be 'help the town'. “I know what I'm doin'. You can take it easy if you want, but I'm gettin' down to business.”

She moved until she stood in the very center of the main road. “There's safety in the shadows, sure, but there's more safety in numbers. False Legion!” Immediately, the air next to her shimmered, signaling that the spell had been cast despite the lack of a magic circle. Ten more Sanguins, each exactly like the original, appeared around her. They shuffled around a bit, before one emerged to stand near Ben. It was impossible to tell if it was the real one or a fake. “They'll walk through the town. They can't communicate with me, but if one is destroyed, I'll feel it, and Izzy might see 'em too. Pretty cool, yeah?”

Without waiting for affirmation from Ben, nine other Sanguins dispersed in all directions. One retraced their earlier steps to stand by the train platform, and the others moved off. None had their weapons drawn, but they could ready their shields and scimitars at a moment's notice, not that it would do any of them -save one- any good.

A woman stood in the marketplace of Haven, her red hair tied back into a braid and allowed to fall down her back, just barely brushing her shoulder blades. Her eyes, bright as embers, gazed intently upon the stall that was selling glazed pastries. Her stomach growled loudly and she wrapped her arms around her midsection in hopes of making the sound less frightening and obnoxious, but to no avail. Crap... I ran out of food money, too... She thought to herself before she summoned a small mechanical creature from her satchel. Tapping on the pocket watch around her neck once, she muttered a short verse under her breath, "Be my angel, speak to me, Mercury!" With those few words whispered from her lips, the small ball of gears and metal untwisted itself to reveal a small mechanical squirrel. She grinned when he crawled up her chest to give her a "kiss" on the chin. "There's my good boy."

With a twirl of her finger, the creature gazed at the stall that she had been thinking of, and without needing to be told, it darted between the feet of the small crowd of people. I'd best find someplace to hide if someone senses my magic. Not like they'll be able to keep track of him in the first place. She made her way through the throng of people and hid in a back alley, the shadows covering her enough that she wouldn't be noticed if she didn't move or make a sound. Just as she got into place, a woman with a scimitar and shield walked past her. Did she have a... Fairy Tail guild mark? She wondered, but couldn't give up the hiding place that she had made as her own. Little did she know that it was one of Sanguin's clones. What is a Fairy doing here in Haven? The last time I checked their job board, there were no problems here... But perhaps... Maybe that's why Mercury was acting a little strange before I put him to sleep?

Just as the thought ran through her mind, she felt claws run up her leg and on her satchel sat Mercury himself. With a large glazed roll in his mouth, he held it out for her with his teeth. She grinned and took it from him, scratching the top of his metal head with her free hand while the other stuffed the roll straight into her face. Her hunger merely faded, but it was still prominent. I can't make him go get me another one. Not when there are goody-two-shoes running around this joint. When the mechanical squirrel began to shiver, she patted him on the head before whispering, "I want you to search out a girl with a scimitar and shield, alright? Just scout her out and follow her until I can tell what she's doing. Thank you so much, Mercury!"

He jumped from her shoulder and climbed up to the top of one of the roofs before making his way towards the main road, catching sight of his quarry as well as another Fairy Tail member. He stood at the edge of the roof, acting as an ornament, but his eyes focused in on Sanguin and Ben. His mistress wanted answers, and she was going to get them one way or another. His tiny, mechanical heart beat rapidly in his chest and the rancid magic that filled the air made him shiver once again. A quiver here and a shiver there might not be enough to get their attention on him, but it was enough to be slightly unsettling.

Haven, that was the name of the town where Rucks was. It wasn't that he'd forgotten of course, he'd just not taken much notice. It didn't bother him all that much. Two of the guilds dead triumvirate were sent here on a mission. Rucks didn't know what it was and he didn't really care either, he just followed them. It gave him a reason to leave the monastery, it was too cold there.

Venn and Akal, the two members of the triumvirate were - as far as Rucks knew extremely powerful. He didn't know any particular details about their abilities just that Venn used a magic lost to time. Rucks sometime wondered what it would be like if he had learned something like that. He'd heard whispers in the streets a LNG time ago of lost magic for slaying demons, he could imagine it now. Rucks Kennithson the sky demon slayer. Or perhaps Rucks Kennithson the crystal demon slayer. He was fond of the two ideas, they would have probably brought more respect than Rucks Kennithson the Quantum magician. Even now other cultists at the guild sniggered at his magic, making sure he was always watched assuming that he could use none of it.

At the thought he slammed down the apple he was thinking of buying, half of it had turned to stone in his hands. He looked at the shop-keeper who didn't seem pleased, tossed him a few jewels as walked away. He took out his jar of iron dust, it was half full. Plenty to sell for a small profit. He focused as he walked, and slowly but surely the iron began to grow hot. It went from its dull grey colour to a bright cherry red within a few minutes, beginning to melt. He neared the train station and sat on one of the public benches. This was the part that needed the most concentration, the jar he held the iron in was immune to his use of superposition but it was costly so he couldn't afford to smash it. As the metal began to liquefy Rucks reached into his satchel and brought out a small tube, no larger than the handle of a blade and with it still in his hand he undid the jar.

Pouring metal in public was something Rucks was not fond of, it had taken him a good fifteen minutes to melt the metal this much. But still he would persevere, the metal had begun to bubble now, it was therapeutic to Rucks, slow and heavy. Much like treacle in viscosity, he wasn't sure if metal should be like that but the stuff he heated up always turned out that way. He slowly began to pour, trying to keep his hand steady the metal began to fall into the glass tube. This was cheap, plain glass and it held about half the jar in volume. It wasn't much bigger than a blade handle, although it widened out towards the bottom so maybe it wasn't completely true.

After another five minutes the metal had finished pouring and Rucks began the process of cooling it, he sighed he should have just taken a job.

Vendrick had been moving on a large field near the middle of town. What had evidence of a well worn road in the middle of the field was completely empty. The entire park was empty, except for Vendrick, numerous filled holes, and many wooden boxes, stained with red. Vendrick was shoveling holes, placing a box inside a hole, filling the hole, and placing a rock in front of it. There must have been 30 more boxes lined up in rows for Vendrick to bury. As Vendrick shoveled, he seemed to faintly whisper an odd hymn.

Gastrandis babel ziggurate edenal...
Emustolronzen vir el baral zizzl...
Gastrandis babel ziggurate edenal...
Emustolronzen vir el zizzl...

The hymn, even though whispered, seemed to reverberate in his helmet, making it sound much louder. Anyone within the park could probably hear the hymn. It was sorrowful, and was in mourning for something. After some time, the hole he had dug was filled, and he carefully placed a box inside of the hole, then filled it up. On to the next hole, he moved to the direct right, and dug more. Why was he doing this? He couldn't remember why, but what did it matter? He had to continue to dig these holes. They would help protect whatever was in those boxes.

Not too far off, Vendrick heard many footsteps. 3 people? 4 people? 8 people? It was much too far off for Vendrick to accurately judge how many people it was, but many of those footsteps just felt fake. He didn't seem to mind all of this noise, and continued with the hymn. Perhaps the people would find him? Perhaps they would not? Whatever the case was, Vendrick was safe. He was safe from it. Vendrick himself didn't know why, but it didn't attack him.

"Haust wasn't yet mature enough to go to haven they said. Haust is too young and temperamental. I mean damn it give me a chance to show you guys the power of slaying a dragon. It is old and useless magic these days......WHY!?!?!?! because there is no more dragons to be slain. That makes me so weak, so tiny compared to all those with present and reasonable magics." Mr. Fildrek would then go on swearing on his way to the west sea to stop a couple of merpeople from hurting non-magic folk and sometimes even stealing them to the sea.

"I got a mission just for you, a fishing trip." imitating Pollux's voice in a mockery manner. "Haha, I remember back in the day when I went to the sea and thought hey.... lets send the pirate kid to the one and only sea type mission. Something so easy for him...........", He would pause and then scream in his very upset voice, "there would be NO *&#^(#)@* Training being done."

Upon arrival at the shore there was nothing to be seen at the very first moment. The water's were calm, and the people seemed to be a good distance away from the shoreline in obvious fear of being hurt or worse. Haust fildrek would walk to the shore line with a depressed look on his face. As the merpeople burst out in 'surprise', Effortlessly water would sprout onto Haust's feet and cause him to surf out of the way with great speed and ease. Haust would counter attack with a great roar of a dragon, " ROAR OF THE LIGHTNING DRAGON" With a clap of thunder, lightning shot out of his mouth and completely paralyzed each merman through the roar would arc to each of them with ease. "Tidal Fist of the Ocean Dragon", A small sphere of whirlpools would form around his fist that twisted so rapidly and strongly that the fist could block arrows with proficient skill.

As the fist came in contact with the first mermaid; she would be sent flying into another far into the depths of the ocean. The same would be so for the other 4 merpeople with quick and fluid-like precision. Haust had been listening to music "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFXBqwH1TjY" on his magic tome while fighting to give him a beat to fight too. This was one of his greatest powers and flaws for he enjoyed his music far too much to be good on most teams.

"Time to go turn this Mission in for my jules. Hello 75,000$ and a fresh apartment to live in."

Almost nightfall. Almost time to get up and start again. Akal stretched out as he stood up, causing his bones to let out loud cracks. He felt old, older than he thought he was. The body he now claimed to be owner of was not old enough to have cracking bones. But it must have been, if they were cracking, right? Akal only had a rough approximation of how old this body was, though that was all he had. He knew that it had been through a lot, but that's all he knew. As he stood to his full height, his knees began to ache for a few moments. Akal let out a small grunt, signifying the pain he felt, but it was not enough to warrant any other response. He had remained undisturbed by the world outside of this little alley way, but there was no peace to be found. While others may have found the silence and isolation tranquil, Akal found that silence and isolation were rarities. With too many personalities to count all screaming at one another, it was impossible to find any semblance of peace. Akal cursed the man responsible for his captivity within this loud prison under his breath. Akal sometimes found himself wondering if he was always the way he was now, if he always savored the taste of flesh upon his tongue; but now was not one of those moments, now Akal had found himself thinking about the meal he had been unable to acquire.

The taste, oh the taste! What could it have possibly tasted like! Some people tasted like chicken, or beef, sometimes like dog, other times like cat, occasionally pork, once duck, twice turkey, thrice rabbit, and there was that one instance where the meal tasted like pineapple, cabbage, peanut butter, cashews, and deep fried pigeon, all at once. But the meal he had been forced to abandon, it was plump and juicy and ladled with fat and that crimson sauce and it was fresh, oh so fresh and and and and and and and and… and it had the smell of a visitor, not one of the wet dogs that this town smelled like. Akal imagined the taste upon his tongue, the oh-so savory delectable delicious succulent juicy rich appetizing flavorful luscious pungent divine zestful taste. It would have been wondrous. Akal closed his eyes, inhaling deeply. This town smelt of wet dog and the meals he had here were infected deeply with this stench, making them less appealing than they ought to be. Still, despite the stench of wet dog and the taste of said odor, he had enjoyed his time spent here.

One of his victims here tasted of chicken, a flavor he was quite fond of, though he found that chickens had begun to taste less and less like chicken to him. That was an odd thought; maybe the flavor he identified as chicken was just a certain something, a certain zest in the meat of many of his meals, and not really resembling a chicken at all. Maybe it was a certain blood-type, staining the meats and flesh of his meals with a flavor dependent on which type it was. Or perhaps it was the climate that they were in, or had grown up in. He knew that overworked meat tasted less delicious then meat that had never worked a day in its life. Although, there was that one instance in which the overworked meat had taken on a unique flavor, different than the other meats on his meal’s bones. That had created a truly unique taste, one that Akal remembered fondly.

Akal exhaled deeply, expelling the stench of wet dog from his lungs. Was this actually the smell of wet dog? Akal had been using the term to explain when he didn’t like a particular smell after hearing Ishak curse one of his servants for bringing the stench into his monastery. Akal hadn’t smelled a wet dog. He didn’t even know that wet dogs smelled different than regular dogs. Maybe this town did not smell like a wet dog. But Akal would keep addressing it as such. It felt better to say then “this town smells like dung”. But regardless of the phrase he used to state it, Akal did not like the smell of this town. It lingered in his nose, forcing its way into his perception. Akal growled in discontent as he felt the smell forcibly enter his mind. As Akal tried desperately to force the smell from his mind, he heard the unorganized choir of voices try to take advantage of his current predicament. They pushed together, chaotically, each trying to wrest control from Akal, each fighting for independence and never together. That made them weak. They fought not just Akal, but each other. Akal found himself silently wondering if any one of them realized that they would have to fight to maintain this position should they take control.

His white eyes blinked, their gaze focused at nothing. Akal had lost the color and pupils in his eyes, leaving only blank white dots in their place. Even the veins he once had in his eyes seemed to be nonexistent. But behind these blinking white dots, he felt physical and mental pain. It felt like there was something pushing against the back of his eyes, trying to escape, but unable to do so. Akal pitied those trapped within him, perhaps because they pitied themselves. Perhaps the combined pity of all of these personalities leaked into Akal’s own, making him fell mournful for what they had lost. Another question entered Akal’s mind: Did each of these personalities have a soul of its own? It was a strange thought, but one that Akal found himself thinking quite frequently. Akal knew about spirits, he knew that’s why magic was possible, or at least that is what he was taught by Ishak. Were spirits and souls the same thing? If so, then surely he would have more magic at his disposal if each of the personalities that plagued his mind had a spirit, would he not? Maybe they were able to use it, but he was limited to his own magical abilities. It was a curious line of thought, but one that haunted Akal. He secretly hoped that each of the personalities had its own spirit, so that they would remain untainted by Akal’s own disgusting sins. Akal was a monster in his own way, which was without a doubt, but he was not without empathy; he was just… wrong in a great number of ways.

Akal snapped back to reality. He had been leaning against a wall this entire time, or maybe he was just recalling his meditation a few moments prior. Whatever the case, as Akal stood up and shook the dirt from his cloak, he turned and walked out of the alleyway he found himself in. He saw many people, some looked like new arrivals, visitors. They would taste good. He saw a lot of similar-looking people as he walked along the darkening streets, or maybe they were the same person. Maybe it was a guild? Best to avoid them. One person he saw in particular stood out though, a man clad in armor, digging holes and putting boxes in them. He looked like he was in a park. Best to avoid that one, its meat was probably no good. Anyone clad in such an amount of armor is hiding something underneath it. In Akal’s experience, it is something unpleasant. Once he had peeled the armor off of a corpse only to find it embalmed. Disgusting.

It was still relatively light out, though it’d be night soon. Akal did not want to wait more, but he would avoid doing anything for at least a few more moments. Venn was here somewhere but Akal could not see him from the ground. Maybe he was on a rooftop somewhere? Venn was weird like that, but he was strong, clever on occasion as well. He was a good guild-mate, one that Akal was pleased to call a fellow member of The Dead Triumvirate. But while he did not notice Venn, he did notice someone sitting down. A familiar face, well rather, a familiar mask sat at one of these benches, doing something with a jar. This one was a weird one. Akal didn’t know his name, but he knew his mask. He liked the ones who wore masks. Masked men always have something to hide, he had once been told, and Akal’s imagination ran wild with theories. A tasty face probably hid under that mask, but he didn’t eat others from Necropolis unless he was ordered to by Ishak himself. Akal stared at the mask for a small while, trying to remember the owner’s name. Racks? Runts? Ruts? Rox? It was something with the letter R. Akal shook his head and kept walking. Almost night now, almost. It’d only be a few more moments before he could find another delicious meal. So many visitors! So many exotic flavors just waiting to dance on his tongue and in his mind.

From atop the building, Venn was able to see a very decent portion of Haven. He watched and waited for Akal to attack yet another unsuspecting citizen, so that their body parts could be collected and sacrificed for a much more important cause. The God Slayer jumped onto an adjacent house in order to see things from a better perspective. He could see trash. Well, not trash exactly, but another Necropolis member. It just so happened that Venn saw this specific guild member as trash. He never spoke to him, and hardly acknowledged his existence. The only members Ishak Dagon had sent on this mission were two of the three members of the Dead Triumvirate. Venn assumed that this cultist had simply followed. Unless he could be useful somehow, he probably had no reason being there. From what Venn was able to see, this cultist wasn't even doing something related to the current mission. No matter, Venn's focus was meant to be on the task at hand - him being the watchful eye of the operation, which he was doing quite well. Venn's eyesight was quite good, and adding onto the fact that he was atop a building made his job extremely easy.

As they perused the dreamy town of Haven, the various Sanguins found that it wasn't as barren as they had originally perceived. Rather than being devoid of life, Haven seemed to have it in small pockets. Wherever Sanguin went, her curious attire and wolf mask drew strange looks from the locals; more curious glances still came from those that had happened to glimpse more than one of her projections. None of the projections really paid them much heed, since they lacked all but the most basic higher brain functions when out of the true Sanguin's company. Though simpletons, her projections had the uncanny quirk of sharing her emotional state, and right now all of them were as wary as the original.

Indeed, even the one that accompanied Ben seemed unusually dull. She simply strode on in silence, hiding any feelings she might have felt behind the mask. It wasn't clear what her 'mass attack' technique was supposed to accomplish. The best she could have hoped for was to lure out whatever threat was plaguing the town, but seemingly nothing bestirred the sleepy atmosphere of the place. The impending dusk only contributed to this feeling, and while plenty of daylight remained, the shadows already grew long. Perhaps the threat would strike under the concealing veil of night and so reveal itself. Sanguin hoped so

Standing outside the train station, the Sanguin who had remained behind sighed. With nothing to do but watch the brilliant sun slide toward the horizon, she painstakingly observed everyone who drew near. For quite some time there was nobody at all, but after a span so boring as to be indeterminate, not one but two appeared on the scene. The first, a masked man, did nothing but give a creepy vibe to Sanguin as he seated himself across the street, on a public bench. As he honed in on his metalworking, he momentarily seized Sanguin's interest, but lost it quickly enough. More interesting was the robed man who passed by. Sanguin watched his every step, but the most fascinating deed he performed turned out to be walking. “Bored,” she murmured mechanically after he left.

This old lady, apparently named Meredith, clearly knew Pollux well. Mary watched her closely as the two elders conversed on the topic of Haven. As their conversation seemed to die down to regular chatter, Mary turned her gaze back to the master for a moment. After letting out a sigh, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Then her hand shot out to her side, grabbing the nearby Zy by his left ear. Though she had him in her grip, she didn't immediately yank or otherwise cause him distress. "You," she said simply, opening her eyes again. "We need to have a little talk." Now came the pulling.

Rather than letting go and assuming Zy would follow her, Mary simply started walking away from the bar area while maintaining her grip on his ear. After finding a relatively open space to stand by the job board, where there was notably very few people, Mary released the younger boy. "I noticed what you did earlier with that girl and your outburst toward Ben," Mary started, sounding like she was about to lecture him. "That seems like rather odd behavior. Something else is bothering you." Now she crossed her arms over her chest and looked him in the eyes. "Care to tell Mary? Or are you going to keep it to yourself and keep acting strange?"

There was a tranquil stillness to the ocean as the gentle waves tugged at the sandy shore, as if softly blanketing the land. The waters foam felt great against Yukiko's bare feet, and the tingling sensation made her giggle. Her wings fluttered in delight, spreading to their full wingspan. Some would say stretching out her wings was comparable to anyone else stretching out their arms, but Yukiko felt that this was an unfair comparison. Her wings spent most of their time tucked behind her, neatly folded away for the convenience of others. Spreading her wings was at least ten times more relieving to her than someone just simply stretching out there arms. Thankfully, she had both wings and arms. She could do both. Double the relief. It was no wonder people stared at her so much; jealousy was truly an ugly thing. The sunlight glistened upon the water like a thousand sparkling diamonds. The clear blue water blended perfectly with the azure sky along the horizon. Off in the distance, she saw something break the surface of the water before quickly collapsing back into the ocean. More and more of these small figures leapt out of the water, continuing forward towards Yukiko as if to greet her. Smiling, she flapped her wings as a gust of sea breeze gently wrapped itself around her, pushing her up into the sky effortlessly before she dived forward, arms outstretched, towards the flying fish that danced in the distance. She soared, her face only inches away from the water's surface. She smiled at her reflection, which was suddenly disrupted by a fish jumping up from the water; his fins gently touched the tip of Yukiko's nose. Curving herself upwards, she flew upwards into the sky before looking back down. The fish below her circled where she once was, jumping up and down. The ocean was so calm and peaceful, why would anyone ever want to live on land? The very thought of land only brought fear to her. She shuddered as she tried to remember the face of the one who pursued her. If only she could recount their appearance, she would feel somewhat safer. For all she knew, any stranger on the street could be the monster looking for her. She was interrupted by the crashing sound of thunder, reminding her what she was supposed to be doing here.

She quickly flew down to where Haust was. She was supposed to help look for the merpeople to help deal with them, but she was distracted by the ocean. She felt kinda bad, especially since Haust had cleaned up the situation effortlessly. She'd make sure he received her share of the reward for doing everything. There would be other missions afterall. She came to a stop near Haust, landing back on her feet delicately.
"Um, my apologies. I didn't really do anything to help out." Her wings folded behind her, and the two continued back on the road to Magnolia. Yukiko wasn't too pleased being put with Haust. Not that she had anything against him, it just seemed odd putting the new members on a mission together. "We should start heading back to Magnolia."

Zy was more than curious as soon as a familliar voice echoed through the Guild Hall, silencing everyone as the elderly woman walked in with her guards. There was a friendly exchange between her and the master, and as quick as she arrived, she left with a group of wizards to go and investigate Haven. Zy could swear he knew the woman, although not well. She seemed like a very powerful person, so he'd be certain he'd remember her if they had met. Alicia, noticing his confusion, spoke up from behind the counter.
"Meredith came and visited, requesting our wizards for a job in her town years back. You were only a young boy then." Alicia scratched away at her papers, pushing her glasses back up her nose while Zy turned back around to stare at what she was writing. She was filling out an official request form for the Haven Mission that had just started, as well as preparing an apology letter to the council for when they inevitebly found out that Pollux had gone against their wishes. Alicia speaking up proved to be quite helpful, reminding Zy of a time long ago when he had felt this same, overpowering presence as a young child. Although back then he felt that from every Fairy Tail wizard, being as young as he was, so he didn't think he'd be able to distinguish between them. Yet Meredith's presence was frighteningly familliar. Zy did not remember her being especially pleasant. As the group departed, Pollux spoke up to a few of the remaining guild members.
"The issue in Haven is being dealt with, however there are other matters that must be attended to." Pollux walked over to Zy and Mary, sitting next to the young man. He watched over the council as Alicia wrote away on her paper. "As much as I like to preach that we shouldn't let the ramblings of the council get in our way, recently they have become even more influential upon Fiore and I fear that even the slightest step in the wrong direction will have our beloved guild disbanded."

Zy turned around on his chair as the master spoke, his arms folded across his chest. Pollux ran his hand through his long, wirey beard, a sign that everyone knew meant he was thinking. Something was troubling the master, but before they could ask he spoke to the group once more.
"I'd like the rest of you to go to Blue Pegasus and help them recover a lost artifact of incredible power. It was stolen from them this morning and their Guild Master has asked for our assistance. Please get there post haste, this is an excellent opportunity to strengthen the bonds between our two guilds." With the Master's final word, he dismissed the group. Zy was about to start heading off when Mary grabbed him by the ear and pulled him to the side, demanding an explanation.
"Why you gotta get on my case, Mary? I'm just not feeling too cheery today, is all." Zy could tell from the expression on her face that this answer was not good enough, and he knew he wasn't going anywhere until she had a proper response. "I didn't mean to upset that girl before. Everything else was having fun with their magic so I just wanted to join in." Zy's lack of understanding social cues and responses was no secret, especially not to Mary. It was embarrassing having to be told right from wrong, as if he was a little kid, but he supposed it was better than messing up all his attempts to be social with others.

The forest was eerily still and quiet, despite being broad daylight. A stream could be heard running in the distance, and the young lady that sat on a fallen tree listened to it's calming rhythm. She wore a bright yellow sundress with a sunflower tied to her ponytail. Her long, scarlet hair reached down past her hips and coiled on the ground below her. In her delicate hands she held a most mysterious item. A tome of dark magics was held in her hands. Not something you'd expect such a beautiful young lady to be walking around with, but in truth if one were to look closely at her porcelain face; there would be no mistake that this woman was more sinister than she would seem. Dark wisps of power floated gently from her lips and eyes, floating upwards into the sky. Her eyes were pure white; no iris or pupil to be seen. When she spoke, she spoke in a voice that was not her own.
"The lady of darkness is not coming, I see," her voice came out as a sharp screech, no doubt what had caused all the animals to flee the forest. "How disappointing. Master will surely punish us for this." The woman watched through the trees, staring at the Blue Pegasus guild in the distance. She knew that they were in a panic. This dark tome held power beyond compare, and it would surely aid them in achieving their masters goals. However, this was not what they wanted. She would definetiely be in trouble for not bringing Acacia with her.
