"Ya know, I'm sure there is some huge conspiracy as to why the government is split on such an important issue, considering a fractured government is weaker as a whole and someone could probably gain something from that, but whatever." Light said as Gary mentioned the governments split and what the agencies mentioned were. After a bit, Light's face brightened up, and one could almost hear a 'ping' sound as she got an idea.

"Well if you wanna blow it up... " Light started, pulling out a wooden hammer from under her dress, tossing it off to the side.

"Just give me a bomb that I can hide in my pocket space here. Preferably a powerful one with a simple button trigger. Its incredibly hard to kill a toon." Light continued, pulling out a knife, cutting off her other arm, tossing the knife aside, showing (After a gasp) the arm stump, then reattaching the cut off arm and moving it around as if nothing had happened a moment later.

"I blow myself up for some shows, so explosives don't bother me that much. Well, they HURT, a LOT, but yeah, I'll live through them. So smuggling a bomb in there isn't hard at all if you wanna go that route." Light continued, rummaging around her pocket space some more, throwing away a frying pan she pulled out. It should be mentioned that most of these items she was pulling out came out from around her hip and from under her dress, so a couple nearby people had weird looks on their faces from time to time while she searched in said places.

"Just make sure its simple. Complex technology and I don't mix. I tend to turn things... cartoony..." She finished, grabbing a small fork out of her dress which was already looking much brighter and rubbery than usual.

Dean Kycek, Bonejangles

Dean slowly moved closer to the displayed image of the StuCorp metas. He couldn't recognize any of them, which he found strange considering he was well versed on the current events. He reverted back to his previous position as Light suggested to stick a bomb up her dress as means to sabotage Avalon. He waited for her to finish before letting a brief, awkward chuckle. "I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous, and let me explain you why.", he sneered, tucking his sleeves up before starting to gesture around "First of all, if Avalon is that secured, they wouldn't let you anywhere near them. You're very..", Dean paused, seeking for a harmless term that would fit the cartoonish meta just as his sister barged in. "Fucked up", she suggested. "..shifty", Dean went on "and second of all, do you want to demolish them, or simply piss them off? Cause you'll probably need a larger bomb to take down the upper floors AND the sleeper cell simultaneously.", he stopped, putting an end to his hand motions before concluding his plan. "No, if we're going to attack Avalon, we're going to do it together. We're the Rapid Response Force, right? Then let's live up to that name. Let's split up and attack each segment of Avalon at the same time. Let's strip them off the chance to regenerate"

This was all so stupid. They haven't even agreed on staying and they were planning an attack on Avalon? It was almost as bad as the government. Fuck they might as well go and get Light Bright and thy can all commit suicide in timely and orderly fashion.

"Avalon is a death trap, pure and simple. If that guy is in there than we need to flush him out. Away from the ones that could kill us with a bat of the eyes." The fact that he was annoyed was clear as day. "Other than that guy is there inside the worst prison in the world. Do you people know anything at all? Seriously like a profile or something? White male, age 25 to 59, momma wouldn't hug him or she raped him every third vespis bell? Anything at all?"

A few days prior to the conference (finishing off Elijah's house).

Alto pulled out his phone to send a quick text to StuCorp. Elijah and Nightingale seemed to be down with the idea of teaming up, and Alto didn't want to waste any more time. He sort of wanted to finish this so he could go back home and play Skyrim or something. Oh, and he had left the wreckage of his wooden chair without bothering to clean it up and he probably needed to do that.

He finished his message and pressed send.

<The duo's on board, but the government guy left because he was tired or something. A pick-up would be nice.>

After a few minutes, there came an answer:

<Understood, Mr. Ganze, we'll send a company car right away. It will arrive in a few hours.>

As he read the message in his hand, he looked up at the duo in front of him and wondered if they were the patient type. Elijah certainly didn't look like it, he was extremely fiery after all. Nightingale looked a to be slightly more patient. Still, it's not like he could do anything about time. They were going to have to wait, whether they liked it or not.

"They're sending a company car." Alto said. "It'll arrive in a couple of hours."

Looking around to go find a couch, he sat down with a thwump and sighed. Maybe, that'll be the end of that. He thought.
Present day, the Conference.

Should've known that wouldn't be the end of that. He thought wearily. Well, at least I had time to buy another chair.

Raiding Avalon sounded like something fun to do. The biggest meta prison in the entire world with top-class security systems and the backing of the largest mega-corporation known to man? And there actually was a chance to succeed? It was sounding crazier by the second, especially with all the people seated at the table.

There was him, Elijah and Nightingale, then there was that guy Bio-Beast which he only knew because he was just above him in the registry, someone who was apparently an actual cartoon and the CEO of Aperture's rival Mega-Corporation, Gary Stuart himself.

Still, he didn't really care so much about the plan, but there was one part he didn't exactly get.

"Even if we know nothing about the Voice," Alto said, cutting off Elijah, "What are we supposed to even do with him if we do find him?"

Loki opened the door of his apartment to reveal... Nothing special. It was a fairly non-descript if slightly bare apartment, on account of him not using it most of the time. Loki took off his coat and put it on the hook near the door. He wondered if he should clean up. He shrugged, because there wasn't that much to clean up anyway, also on account of him not using it often.

There was a wide screen TV near his couches in what served as a living room. The table and the kitchen were all fairly neat and the floor was clean. There was actually very little one could glean from Loki's apartment other than the fact that the person living in it wasn't there much and they liked kids shows. Arrayed under the TV were DVDs, mostly childish ones and disney movies. Loki stocked a few of the other Genres in his DVD cabinet, but they were dwarfed by the amount of young people's movies there were. That aside, the apartment had a modern feel to it and had a good view of the Los Angeles skyline on account of being on the 15th floor.
"Make yourself at home." He called out to his guest as he placed his bag of cookies on the counter.

"Got it." She murmured, sliding her coat off her shoulders before she hung it up on the coat-rack just beside the door. Following him in hesitantly, she peeked around the room, narrowing her eyes in an attempt to find any hidden clues that would give something away about him. Plus, as a Meta, one had to have a certain level of caution, even with someone who was apparently your new teammate. "Nice place you got!" She chirped, sounding genuine as she quietly moved into the centre, looking for some place to have him rest. "Right, you can have the cookies later. I need to see your dreams. You need help sleeping or can you deal with that one yourself?"

This actually required a little bit of thought. First of all, he'd had a lot of sugar within a few hours and that usually equated to a lot of energy. That meant that yes he would need help. Maybe. He wasn't that tired, after all, and he hadn't done much but eat. Wait... He had an idea.
"Hold on, I got this." Loki said, vanishing into his bedroom.

Loki quickly changed into his home attire, a world peace shirt and gray tracksuit pants. This was an idea. There was always one particular genre of tv show that put him to sleep: Reality shows. No really. It would hardly take him 5 minutes to sleep after watching one. He didn't have a particular reason for it, he just found them boring. And he was sure that many people would agree. "Alright," Loki said, stretching as he left his room. "Let's do this."

Loki dived onto the couch parralell to the TV. He turned into a sideways laying position and grabbed a cushion on the way. Sliding to the end, he reached out to grab the remote on the table next to the couch only to realise that he was facing the wrong way and that the table was on the other side. Loki then stretched out with his foot, groping the table for the remote. Remote found, he oicked it up with his foot and threw it over to his outstretched hand and caught it, spinning it to face the TV and turning it on. Browsing his recorded tv shows, he switched to his 'sleep shows' and flicked onto a rerun of American Idol. There was one show that he really disliked! "Oh yeah, turn it off when I go to sleep, please." Loki told Scarlett as he chucked her the remote. "I don't want to listen to this any more than I have to."

"Something something something" The announcer seemed to say. The theme song was lulling him to sleep, and barely 3 minutes into it, his eyelids drooped and he was asleep.

Scarlett watched him with deep intrigue, wondering how someone who appeared to have his life in order could be so... chaotic. He seemed to ramble around his apartment; first moving to his bedroom where he got changed before he arrived back out in the livingroom. Shrugging it off, she slipped her jacket off and kicked her boots from her feet before she fell down onto the chair off to the side of his livingroom. Yawning a little, she stretched out before turning to examine the TV. Honestly, Scarlett didn't judge him for feeling drowsy from watching reality TV - it was horribly boring with a clear lack of intelligence behind it.

Fixing him with a curious glance, she watched him slip off into a deep sleep before she smirked and climbed to her feet. Once she had lifted the remote and flicked the tv off, she made sure that she was sitting comfortably in the chair - there was nothing worse than coming out of a dream to find that you had fallen asleep with a weird posture and messed your back up!

Once she was settled, she closed her eyes and inhaled a deep breath through her nose before sending her mind out, scouring for some form of intelligence for her to access. Clearly, he was the first she found but she also somehow gained access to the people below him. Of course, Scarlett had no desire to investigate their consciousness so she focused in on him before she too, fell into a deep sleep. The light faded, dissolved into a thick black liquid that oozed darkness before things flashed suddenly; she was in.

Her first thought? This explains why he doesn't have a significant other. The sight that awaited her was none other than him sitting at a giant table playing... Jenga with... giants? Giants with sharks for hands. Brilliant, Scarlett wasn't usually a judge of characters but she could physically feel her brain-cells dying. "Are you serious? This is what you get up to when you're dreaming?" She didn't like the fact that the control of the dream still rested in him, considering this dream was one of the weirdest she had ever seen!

"Huh? Oh, Hi Scarlett." Loki said, noticing the girl's presence. "You might want to stand back a bit because this'll end soon."
Loki punched a side block from near the bottom and rode the space elevator to the top, putting it at a precarious upright position just to mess with the banana titans. Their howls of anger let Loki know that all was going to plan.

"No one said I couldn't put it upright, and you agreed to follow my rules!" Loki said, countering their angry babbling.

The Banana titan conceded that Loki had a point, but was still mad. Perfect. The banana titan tried in vain to grab a Jenga block, difficult when one has sharks for hands. The more the titan clamored for the block, the more unstable it became. He tried picking on it, but was losing patience. It tried to carefully inch the block out of its place, but with snapping jaws instead of fingers, it was a difficult task. Inch by inch the block came out, and the tower swayed every inch. Carefully, the titan extracted the block as the tower leaned in the same direction. The Jenga block freed itself with a pop and the tower slowly came back to resting state. The titan roared in victory and placed the tile onto the top. This was it. The Jenga tower was unbalanced by the placement of the blocks and fell with an almighty crash, heralding the doom of the banana titans. The titan roared in rage as he disappeared into oblivion, never to be seen again.

"AW YEAH!" Loki whooped victoriously as the final fantasy victory theme played in the background.

The Jenga blocks disappeared, and in their place, a floating key was seen. Loki jumped off the space elevator and landed on his feet, making a crater near the key. He walked up to the key and slowly lifted his hands to it. In the background, the chest opening theme from legend of zelda began playing, and Loki held the floating key above his head with pride. Key in tow, Loki made his way to where Scarlett stood.
"Sorry about that. I proposed a game to decide who gets the master key." Loki told her. "But what are you doing in my dream anyway?"

Scarlett was simply standing, shaking her head in disappointment. After the Angry Birds story, she hadn't exactly grouped him as a serious individual but this was just borderline insane. "I expected maybe a strip-club or Scarlett Johansson... but this?" Sighing softly, she shook her head as if an attempt to forget it before she fixed her eyes on him. Scarlett was trained to deal with threats but there would come a time when martial arts wouldn't do anything against other Metas. In that time, she needed someone who could back her up properly, someone who could make sure that if she did slip up (not likely), it wouldn't result in something bad. Currently, he didn't look like a prime candidate for that sort of position.

"This is my main power, Loki! I can enter dreams and control them if I really want to." Sighing, she flicked her wrist so that the scene suddenly switched to his apartment, darkened by a LA night. "Granted, it's still your dream but you know that I mean." Turning, she moved to his counter before jumping up onto it and taking a seat, lifting his bag of cookies before she extracted one carefully and began eating it. She had never tasted those cookies before so they didn't exactly have a taste but hey, she was stealing another thing that he had bought!

"The reason I'm in here is because I want to see what type of person you are on the inside. Dreams are a great place to see that: they allow me to see your darkest desires and your brightest dreams. Like back then, it kind of shows a want to be better than even the mightiest of beings. Have a bit of a superiority complex going on there, Loki?" She teased, biting down into the cookie once more.

"Not really, I just like messing with people." Loki said, taking off his bear helmet. "Though funnily enough, these kinds of dreams usually end with me returning the world to its former state with an all powerful tool of something or other that I won by using legal loopholes. So yeah, I guess you could say that."
Loki threw the bear head over his shoulder and looked over the Los Angeles cityscape.

"This is pretty accurate." Loki said. "But I notice that I still have this bear suit and the master key. Well, whatever."

Loki threw the master key over his shoulder as well and dived onto the couch, relaxing even though it was technically his dream and he was also still on the couch, so he was diving onto his couch from his position on the couch which made no sense.

"That's a pretty sweet power, though. I could think of a lot of fun stuff to do with it." Loki said thoughtfully. "But the question is, what are we doing now?"

"Of course it's accurate, I just built from memory. Pretty easy, actually!" She exclaimed, finding a cold feeling run along her spine before she pulled the sleeves on her hoodie up to her fingers and gripped the cookie with two hands. Still eating it, she looked out along the LA skyline before peeking back towards him.

"Well, currently, I believe we are sitting in a virtual recreation of your apartment. If you're talking about what we're going to do now then I don't exactly know." She stated, frowning in general towards the wall as she thought about it. "We can wake back up but I like it here. In here, things can be whatever you want them to be and you don't have to deal with how fucked up the world is. You can just... drift." Sighing, she turned back towards him before sliding down from the counter and looking around.

"I guess we can head back now. I'm pretty much up to scratch on how to control your dreams!"

"Well, that's alright. I guess." Loki said.

He was unsure as to whether or not having a teammate know how to control some part of him was a good idea. They were teammates, after all, but there might come a situation where Loki would have to fight her some time, probably if either of them betrayed aperture and the other was sent to take them out. Hopefully, that wouldn't happen however. Regardless, Loki should likely wake up now, which was kind of odd considering that most people wake up naturally from their dreams. Well, that wouldn't stop Loki because he knew how to wake up.

"See you on the other side." Loki said, getting up from the couch.

He walked over to the discarded master key and held it point first. He stuck it into the air and the point disappeared into some cosmic keyhole of his dreams. He twisted the key and his vision broke like glass stemming from the space he'd stuck the master key into, fracturing into tiny pieces giving way to darkness. He felt feeling come back to his body and opened his eyes. He got up from his laying position and looked outside to see that the sun was close to setting and night was soon to come.
"Well, it seems that night's going to come soon." Loki said, getting off the couch.

He made his way to the kitchen and put an apron on. If night was falling, it meant that it was around 5:00-6:00 PM. In other words, dinner time.
"Would you like to stay for dinner?" Loki asked Scarlett.

When he woke, she was still curled in the chair opposite him, sleeping soundly. She didn't actually stop dreaming when she left his; she simply just returned to her own dreams were she could live out old memories again. She wasn't in the mood for that today though, so the most of the time was spent sitting up on the hill that was just above her house. It was peaceful up there and her dream was so perfected that she could even hear the birds in the trees and the distant honks of cars in angry traffic.

When she did finally wake, she stretched inwardly before peeping her eyes open and staring at him, her eyebrows settling into a frown. Once Scarlett has realised where she was, she relaxed into the chair again and nodded slowly. "Sure. I could do with some dinner right about now."

"Just tell me if you're allergic to anything, I think I'll make some pasta." Loki said, digging out all the things he needed from the pantry.
As Loki boiled some water in a pot, he wondered about the job and working for Aperture. Certainly, working for them had perks, but he wasn't sure they would take it so well if he backed out, which he was prone to do sometimes. Nothing he could do about it, though. He'd have to deal with the consequences.

Loki added the pasta to the water and began to deal with the condaments, taking out a saucepan and setting the flame to medium while adding some butter. Speaking of the contract, there was the matter of Scarlett, who could see into people's dreams. That was a pretty handy meta power, but he wondered what kind of job required that kind of power. The only thing he could think of was either assassination or interrigation, which made sense with his power. Though he'd need something non-lethal for the interrigation thing. Maybe a tranquiliser gun. He could ask for one later.

But more importantly, were they friends now? Loki glanced over at Scarlett curled up on his chair. Loki shrugged as he fried some garlic and onions. Probably. People he wasn't friends with often didn't come to his house to hang out or something. And friendship was good.

Loki began cooking in earnest, adding sauce and mince meat to the mixture, as well as some stock for the condaments. The pasta would be done soon, so he took it off the boil. Regardless of the situation, he was being hired for a job and he didn't want to disappoint. The pasta was nearly done. Loki wiped the sweat off his brow and drained the pasta. The young girl who'd talked to him in the cafe about the job had told him that if they got caught, they wouldn't be arrested, but Loki had other worries. Assuming he 'betrayed' apperture for some contrite reason or another, it wouldn't go so well for him.

"The pasta's ready." Loki said, serving out his creation into 2 bowls and bringing them to the table. In the end, it didn't really matter how well it would go. He'd have to deal with the consequences of his actions, regardless of his will or intent.

((TL;DR: Scarlett goes to Loki's house and they both fall asleep so she can enter his dreams. They're weird, she's a little unsure and so they back out of them. She looks like she's staying and he makes some pasta for them! Yay, friends!))

Mark had a pleasant room. It was alabaster white, had a desk and a computer, a bed and a nightstand, a kitchen and a sink. One wall was lined with books and another with boxes. Most of the boxes corresponded to a set of books, and inside each box was a skill. Whether it was knotting or knife throwing, everything he needed to be proficient in was probably tucked away on those two walls. These were given to him to work through over the years and in an attempt to trick him into believing he was not where he was. In a cell. Today he was particularly aware of this. One box and seven books were missing from the corner, and he had a pencil in his hand. Sketching, particularly faces, was the talent he was now working on. It was dull and he did not fully see the point of such an exercise, but he wasn't in a position to refuse orders. No matter how old they may be. However, as he found himself doodling the girl in the tube, his computer issued a set of high pitched beeps. A beep was exactly what he wanted to hear.

As the world came to a halt, he listened intently to the memo being read faster than a human could hear. He was being assigned to act as a guard to one "Ruby" and it was signed by the boss. She was a technopath if he remembered correctly, and had been quite active. It would definitely be interesting to work with her.

He packed away the box, set the books upon the nightstand and grabbed his bandolier and his handcannon. With black combat trousers and a green t-shirt, Wire opened his door and left to fulfill his new mission. Inactivity was a terrible thing to be held captive by.

**Secret Alliance** By the time Alec backed out of the conversation, it was already night. He was perturbed, angry and confused, but most importantly, drained, so he did what everyone would do in his situation – drove back to his shelter. The meta was a nomad, meaning he had no permanent place to call home. His hideouts mostly involved a ring of low quality motels around barely populated areas of L.A, the kinds of motels you’d be lucky to have a working shower. Although his appearance raised suspicion in the eyes of the receptionists and the tenants, they never caused him problems, and he was very much fine with that. A couple of minutes later, the MRAP pulled over down a parking lot belonging to a small motel. Alec shoved the door open, placing his right foot on the ground before his left. After he got out, he pushed the heavy door closed then took hold of his transponder car keys, pressing onto the lock button with his thumb, causing the car to do it’s typical beep. In his right hand, he was holding a glass bottle of whiskey he’d bought in a liquor store earlier, in his left he had his grip on the black briefcase, while there was a small, mucky flask concealed in his jacket’s right pocket. Alec himself moved with a rather slow and unenergetic pace, signifying he was exhausted from all the shenanigans he got himself through. All in a day’s work. The meta made his way through the motel’s lobby, stopping for a little bit at the receptionist’ counter. Through the grids that were separating the counter with the rest of the place, he could make out a face, a masculine, round shaped, weary face, and then a couple of curves around the chin, exhibiting a duplicitous smile. He, the receptionist, was reading a magazine, a Playboy issue to be more exact, before he would shift his attention at the strange man on the other side. Alec slipped his hand under the square opening, wiggling it at the confused receptionist. He looked at the hand, then threw his look at the stranger. It was then that he finally noticed the glow in his eyes, letting a nearly inaudible “Oh shit!” in the process. Shortly after that, the meta felt a small metallic object touch his hand. His ascent up the stairs leading to his room was accompanied by a load of spewing, as the man downstairs was trying to justify his higgledy-piggledy behavior, statements which Miller ignored with ease. The door to his room opened, and a worn out Alec barged in. He made sure to carefully lock the door before diving into his bed, releasing the glass bottle on top of the bed sheets while dropping his briefcase next to the bed, staring straight into the ceiling fan. The strange odor and the disorganized surroundings didn't bother him at all. What occupied a special spot in his overloaded brain was Elijah - possibly one of the few whom Alec had developed an interest in. There was also Roze, but besides having a close resemblance to his estranged sister, she wasn't that captivating. Elijah, in the other hand - there was something about the guy, about his manner of speech and his actions, something that didn't quite correspond. Alec was trained his whole life to be able to read people, and he employed that particular skill of his during his encounter with the fire fugitive, but he couldn't achieve anything. The man was like an open book, if that open book would look different every time you read it. Taking those qualities of him into consideration, the former soldier wanted him in his team, by his side, but his crooked sense of honor stopped him, the same sense of honor that made his trust issues more severe, indirectly influencing in his lone wolf style. The thought that Elijah distracted Alec, a man renowned for his professionalism, from his ulterior motive made the latter cringe, in fear that he was losing his sharpness. Following his contemplation, Alec slowly boosted himself up, now sitting on top of the bed. He grabbed the alcohol bottle with his right hand, pulled the flask with his left hand then poured the alcohol from the bottle into the flask. He always could have simply drank the booze straight from the bottle, but he enjoyed it more that way. It was something that brought him nostalgia, that reminded him of the times when his conception of booze was a method of celebration, not something he could find solace in. Either way, it's not like he could really get drunk, taking into account he was always known for handling his liquor well, even before his powers surfaced. As the liquid gushed down his throat, Miller's left hand slid around the cluttered bed, looking for the TV remote. After finally finding it, he turns the TV on while simultaneously taking his jacket off, throwing it into the floor. He was in his civil outfit, finding an opportunity to change from his work suit at the liquor store, same store he bought his beverage in. The TV news channel reported about a massacre in a small pub in Fresno, while the other channel, the second out of two working channels in that shithole, was broadcasting Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange'. Alec went with Kubrick, already tired of all the bad news he got throughout the day. A whiskey bottle later, and he fell asleep, down on the pile of disarranged sheets he called a bed. **The other day** The phone's buzzing was what woke Alec the other day. He instinctively gasped, like he was being forced on a chokehold, right before looking around observantly in an attempt to determine the origin of the sound. He noticed the jacket vibrating on the ground, a faint light noticeable in the front pocket. The TV was still on since last night, this time playing a stream of different advertisements. Miller stretched his hand, barely grabbing the phone who had ceased buzzing by now. He rubbed his eyes, adjusting them to the the scenery, before throwing a look at the message. It was from his MHRC contact. It wrote: "Hey, you're probably asleep now, so apologize in advance in case I just woke you up. I sifted around the government files, but we from the registry have very limited access, so I couldn't find anything related to a corporation or anything. I did, however, gather information on this guy, a meta called Constantine. He is the adoptive brother of Gary Stuart, the CEO of StuCorp, some corporate who manufacture weapons and defense systems. I couldn't find any contract to prove that StuCorp is affiliated with the government, but I've noticed that the FBI's inventory possesses some of their trademark technology - therefore, it's safe to assume that the two are linked. I've sent you Constantine's profile below, along with the address of the woman currently in charge of FBI, Elena Reyes. I am told that she and Constantine are pretty close, so don't be surprised if you find out they're having a sleepover. You can thank me later." Seconds after finishing his reading, Alec stumbled out of the motel in a hurry, haphazardly wearing his jacket while he made his way to the MRAP. He fired up the engine, taking off from the site. **Rushed joint with Letter Bee** *"This must be the place"*, Alec thought to himself, viewing a message containing specific directions to the location of the top-ranking FBI official. He let out an inaudible groan before moving in, somewhat anxious about the meeting. He was told that he'd want to look out for a woman called Elena if he wanted to make demands, or file a complaint, but he knew better than to listen at people. It was actually the FBI meta, Constantine, or so he was called, that piqued his interest. If there was anyone who'd have influence over the FBI, it would probably be a metahuman, taking into account they're far more evolved than your average joe. Upon scaling a flight of stairs, he found himself before an apartment door, what he assumed to be the FBI meta's hideout. He pulled his hand out of his jacket's pocket, tapping into the door twice. The door opened, but instead of Constantine or Elena, the door was instead opened by a child, a fifteen-year old boy with brown hair and blue eyes, and looking all the while like one of those 'Adorably Precocious Children' you see in Anime. The child gazed at the stranger's face, and then spoke: "Alec Miller, aka Lighthouse. Recently Registered. Let me guess, you're here for either Elena or Constantine? Well, the former's asleep, sadly, while the latter's watching TV." Alec was slightly taken aback when a boy, most likely about twelve year old, unlocked the door, but what really caught him off guard was his manner of speech. For a kid who had yet to reach puberty, he sure had a rich vocabulary. The fact that he was aware of his real identity didn't surprise him as much, considering the kid did hang out with government schmucks. "Tell Constantine to cut off whatever he's doing. I have a business proposal", Alec spoke in his unique and fairly distinct tone. Cedric nodded, then, in order to avoid waking Elena, texted Constantine to come to the door. Moments later, a young-looking man, clad in a T-Shirt, Jeans, and slippers, and carrying a glowing spear approached Alec's position, before saying, archly: "Lighthouse, formerly Metakiller. What do you want?" Alec slipped his right hand under his jacket immediately after he framed a young man, armed with a glowing spear, onto his peripheral vision. He was taking measures, reaching for his FN Five-Seven, should shit hit the fan. "Heel", he sneered at the man's stern disposition. Constantine took things way too seriously. Miller's mocking attitude, however, was halted after the FBI meta made a mention of his old alias, a cruel reminder of his pointlessly violent past. He expected that kind of scrutiny from a clandestine organization like CIA or NSA, but never from a FBI executive. He, nonetheless, decided to remain professional and act like nothing's happened. "As you might know, your affiliates, StuCorp, sent a spiky-haired kid to recruit me. As you also might know, I refused.", Alec paused, making a couple of steps towards the room, just a few inches past the teenage boy, before proceeding "I'll be blunt here. I don't like the way how StuCorp works. They sent a kid to pick me up, and they just employed two fugitives, one of them who's responsible for single-handedly setting fire to the police station. That, and the fact that your 'heroes' have made quite a habit of switching sides, is surely a cause of concern." The former-soldier took a seat from a table nearby, before finally concluding his proposal. "I want to work with you. From what I've read, you seem like a fairly dedicated man, one who takes pride on being a meta, hence why I'm standing before your doorstep. If you do accept, I'd like this partnership to be secret, so as to avert the possibility of a leak." "Gary. Did. What." spoke Constantine in cold fury. "I mean, I know about him recruiting Alto, but bringing Elijah into the ranks? Sigh, my adoptive brother sometimes takes his belief in second chances too far...one of the few reasons he's still afloat is because his products are just that good. Nevertheless, I'd be glad to accept a secret partnership with you; okay, not glad, per se, but I'm satisfied. And, thanks." "Anyway, you'd want information, right?" Alec nodded the moment his partnership proposal was settled, before opening his mouth to answer the man's question. "Kind of. Information is my department, but I'd be glad if you cleared some things up for me. As for what I want, for starters, I'd like a new opsuit, something a lot like my old one but in a different color, fit for daytime missions. I'm sure the FBI must have a few spare prototypes. And make no mistake; when I said that I want to form a partnership, I meant I'll only answer to you and you only. Not your superiors, or any of your", the meta darted his gaze at Cedric before finishing his sentence "family members. Do you understand?" "Sigh," spoke Constantine, "done, and done." "Oh, and just to clear something up. I'm not working for you. I'm working WITH you", the meta proceeded setting the boundaries "meaning every decision we take should provide both of us leverage." Constantine smiled. "So, a partnership of equals? All right, we can have that." Alec eyed the room around him with his glowing eyes, inspecting every corner of it. It appeared that there was nothing to suggest his life was at stake, but still, it was a habit he developed since a young age, and old habits do die hard. After a brief moment, he eventually threw his sight at his new found partner, nodding in agreement at his last remark. He was rather impressed at how fast the deal was settled. "Alright then", he responded, lifting himself up from his seat, making his way towards the door. He lingered for a second at the doorstep, throwing one last passing glance at Constantine. "I'd give you my number, but I'm sure you already have it." "I do, Lighthouse," spoke Constantine. "Anyway, bye, then." Alec left the site, mounting his MRAP, starting the engine and then heading back to the motel. ((Tl;dr Alec goes back to the hotel, drowns in booze. The next day, he visits Constantine and they make a pact))

((Collab between NarcissisticPotato, LetterBee and QuietThinker)) After a long day of attempting to hire immature Metas, Ruby was well and truly fed-up with work. Of course, perfecting Aperture's top-secret line of battle-droids didn't fall under work so she was eagee to get back to work on them. Once she had slipped into something more comfortable, she flicked on some music before getting to work on the droids. This one, particular model she was working on had problems with spinal movement so naturally, she had to open up everything and will the onboard-AI to find the source of the problem, which it quickly complied with. When Mark actually got into the room, she looked a little crazy, lying flat on top of the overturned robotand wearing not much beyond a long t-shirt and her underwear. Upon hearing a knock on her open door, she frowned and turned with a dark glint in her eyes. "Hey! This place is off-limits!" He blinked. His eyes wandered between the woman before him, the contraption she was sprawled across and the stereo blaring behind her before he finally gave his reply. "I'm here as a body guard of sorts." Ruby's glare got a seemingly disinterested stare in return, as Mark remained unmoved in the doorway. Ruby almost fell off the robot in disgust. A bodyguard? How dare they! Keeping a cool demeanour on the outside, she subconsciously blinked at him for a few seconds before narrowing her eyes and letting an almost amused humpf out. "Don't think so, hot-shot. I'm Aperture's star-player, they don't need to have someone back me up!" The thing is, she had no idea what decisions they had made on her behalf. After checking her messages, her features contorted. "I do not need a bodyguard so you can head on back to wherever the hell they found you!" His head leant to the side. After a short but calculated silence, Mark spoke. "Alright then, let me put it another way; Aperture seems to think you're important enough to warrant some additional protection. I'm here simply as an acknowledgment. Better?" It was as if that same expression was etched into his face. They faced off for what felt like minutes but in reality was only a few seconds. The music died away in the background and the room fell into an eerie silence as she slid down from the robot and walked, barefooted, towards him. He had the clear height advantage between them but that didn't stop her from leering at him. "You listen here. How about we just say that you're doing your job and you stay the Hell out of my way." Ruby was working on things beyond Aperture and the last thing she needed was a rat - Ruby had the capability to be one of the most intelligent humans in existence so she wasn't being fooled by Taylor. She knew what he could do but that didn't mean he could figure out something that was beyond her powers. Little did he know that Ruby was rewriting the entire architecture behind the new line of droids. Taylor thought that Ruby could be a pawn in his little game but she had her plans. Eden would become a reality, but not with Taylor at its helm. Ruby knew the guy in front of her but she couldn't precisely remember his name. All she remembered was that she wanted to study him after hearing his nerves could transmit signals at a rate that allowed him to process things incredibly fast. Someone like him would be a good lab-rat, not a good bodyguard. However, her interest was still piqued. The world stopped as he peered over her indignant shoulder at the droid. He couldn't entirely tell what Ruby was doing with it, but it looked fully functional. Mark had a faint fascination with tech, partly because he couldn't use most of it, and he was interested to see what the technopath was capable of. He refocused on the angry eyes in front of him and time flowed once again. "Can I not get in your way a little bit?" Of course, to Ruby he was simply staring at her for a grand total of a few milliseconds while he analyzed her room. Sighing, she unhooked her arms from in front of her chest and pressed her fingers against her temples. "Yes. Whatever. Just don't touch anything." She informed him, stepping to the side and allowing him to pass before she moved back towards her current project. "You know, for someone who supposedly has all the time in the world to make decisions, you seem slow." Ruby fired at him, her fingers hovering over a console before she inputted some commands and lowered the table. If she was going to work on this thing, she would rather not be so exposed. Stepping into her workspace, he took a longer and more noticable scan of the room. "So you know of me?" Mark said, as a subtile smile escaped from his lips and he cocked an eyebrow. "And I seem.. slow?" It was difficult to tell if he had purposely slowed his speech in response; that sort of cheek didn't quite fit with his demeanor. Rolling her eyes in response, she nodded slowly as she used her powers to draw down two robotic arms from the ceiling. Under her influence, they poked at the spine before completely lifting the whole thing out. "Yes, I know of you. I asked if I could try my new nerve technology but it seemed that you're important enough to warrant some sort of additional protection." She repeated his phrase from earlier as she frowned at the robotic spine which writhed for a few seconds before dying. "I expected someone like you to be very sharp and not waste their normal time looking around a room when they could use their powers to do it in a millisecond." The robots quickly guided the faulty spine over to a nearby box as she looked around for a spare. Now he smiled, leaving an open silence while he examined the intricate details on the arms. They moved quickly, dislodging the apparently damaged part with remarkable precision before storing it away. He found himself almost jealous of their dexterity, briefly argued the pros of cybernetics before dismissing them with the cons. This brought him back to something his charge mentioned, and made him grateful for his importance. That was something he would not bring up of his own volition. Time snapped back as the hardware hit the box and his smile died. Then, someone else just had to enter the room. Said someone was a strikingly beautiful woman, clad in a vividly scarlet robe with a white belt, her red eyes accentuated by her long black hair. She was accompanied by an escort of two hulking brutes, men who were so muscled that it was unnatural, and who were clad only in loose pants, showing their chitin-covered skin all over. This chitin, Wire would observe, was stronger than steel and ceramic armor, enough to parry even bullets. They were like a combination of the Incredible Hulk and The Thing, having the former's green coloration. The woman, her face bemused, looked at Wire and Ruby, and spoke: "Ah, so you two have made yourselves known to each other, then?" she then focused soleley on Wire. "You know, if you'd let me modify you, I can give you a form that would suit your abilities better; perhaps a dragon? I can make dragons out of people now, you know; and Ruby can ride you; how's that sound?" Apart from the rather cliché opposition between industry and nature, Ruby had a deep resentment of Isabella. It wasn't about the looks - Isabella was a clear winner when it came to that but it was the fact that she thought she could come over and try to play with her toys! She didn't like Mark but he was hers. Lifting a heavy looking spine from a container, she carried it to the robot before having the arms lift it in. Almost immediately, the robot hummed with energy and sat up before sliding to its feet, clearly under Ruby's influence. Behind her, it appeared as a hulking mass of machinery and heavy weaponry. "How about you pull your nose out of my business and get the hell out of my lab, Isabella? Mark doesn't want whatever it is that you do to those... things." Her last words were aimed at the two brutes beside the woman. "With a Phoenix suit, he can be a lot more useful to us and then, he doesn't have to look like a lizard for the rest of his life. Now, be a good little tree-hugger and excuse yourself, please." This was a new situation; two girls were fighting over him. Of course, one of them was Isabella. As ravishing as she tried to appear, she would not get inside of his head. He would have given his own cutting remark to the woman in red if Ruby hadn't done so first. She didn't seem to share his respect for pauses. Regardless, her statement was in fact false; he could not utilise a Phoenix suit. It worked with a HUD which did not work with him, and getting rid of it left the pilot with highly restricted vision. Too restricted. Of course, the prospect of becoming a dragon was not the preferred alternative, and her defense was appreciated. Even if it was about to be cut down by that devil woman. "Don't you know?" spoke Isabella, "Wire here cannot use a Phoenix Suit - his powers prevent him from doing so. But, still, I didn't come here for Mark, I came here to talk about something else." Her face then turned grave. "'I directed another mercenary Meta - Nikolai, I think his name is, to where the FBI's Rapid Response Team was hiding. Not merely that, but I also got some members of the Mafia to agree to having their abilities 'enhanced'; basically, I implant them with small worms that increase their strength, abilities, and reflexes like Wire here, but in exchange, when they die, the worms burst out of the dead bodies as giant facehuggers. And, no, they don't know that," her voice turned gloating again. "Either way, I'm doing my share of the work, and don't have to rely upon the enemy having an outdated sense of honor and mercy to get me out.." The way she spoke, she almost implied that she did all the work. they wouldn't have even discovered the location of the Rapid Response Team if it wasn't for Ruby taking control of Cedric's microcomputers and tracking Constantine's transmission to the safehouse. "Sounds like a bloodbath. I can throw some battle droids in there if you really need the backup. I also have two Metas which might interest you." Ruby switched to business mode, forgetting her grudges from before. "Speaking of which, I don't want any of them touched. I know you like interfering with living things but we need them." "Don't worry," spoke Isabella, "I know the difference between business and pleasure," obliquely implying that she respected Ruby when she got serious. "And, yes, I can use the battle droids. As for the Metas, you mean the Twins, or Scarlett and Loki. You know, the latter might actually be willing to be touched, but don't worry, I still won't do so - my power works only on the consenting, anyway." Did Ruby actually forget that? Ruby's eyes flicked to Mark and wondered, for the briefest of moments, whether he fell under business or pleasure with Isabella. Both images in her head were equally revolting so she abandoned all thoughts of that. "Well, Isabella, let's not pretend that you have certain ways of making them a little more... willing." "True. Simple promises of power, money, drugs, and of course, good old seduction; Aster was very willing to fall for that last part. Turned him into a Fake Angel as well, something blashphemous to offend both baseline and religiously inclined Metas. I can also send him out, if you want." "He's useless to us now, they're crying for his head from here to New York. Ask Taylor first, I suppose, he might have a few more plans for him." She finished, sending her robot back to join a short line of other robots she had repaired. "Oh and Isabella..." She suddenly switched back. "... don't ever try take any of my toys away from me again. You will regret it." With that, Ruby turned sharply and padded into the sleeping-area of her room, which quickly closed itself off to them. Mark watched her go, taking the time to decide how he felt about her sudden possessiveness. Concluding that he'd need more data before he could make a judgement, his eyes turned to Isabella. They flitted between the two things besides her, before resting upon the woman herself with some stone. "..You should go." "Some people can't take a decent tease," spoke Isabella, before she elegantly twirled and left, her 'bodyguards' with her.

Anything at all?" He knew all too well that he was starting to sound like a broken record. He hated that fact as much aas the next person but his good ole fun and gun style wasn't going to cut the mustard here. It was going to get everyone killed. Plus there was still Ruby out there floating around. He had to find her, taken by Apature now that he remembered, or so he thought. Apature was starting to become a common theme here. The more he thought about it, everything started not long after Ruby was taken. Less than hours later as a matter of fact. Disney, the fed building, he was sure more had happened that he didn't know about but the common string was Apature and Ruby. Maybe finding her could lead to some answers. Now the question becomes is ot better to work on his own or part of this response team? He didn't like the idea of this rapid retardation team or whatever it was. It meant structure and authority. Two things he had done well without and was happy to be rid of.Roze was another factor in all this, his feelings for her aside, she was better off here than with the governments. Plus thanks to his fire powers he could put himself way without much fear. Elijah liked Roze too much to do that to her.

Dean was sleeping soundly having fallen alseep form their talking constantly and not getting anything done or so he thought,His eyes slowly flustered open until they were fully open looking at the ground rubbing his eyes of the sleepies under his eyelids."Mhm well that is good and all but perhaps I have a few ideas of what we could do..." He started getting up off his chair and walking over to the group,"Have we found the name of the fellow if so then where can we find him and if not then I can track him...If we found his location then I could get into the facility..." He said to them still feeling tired form the nap. "Or we could go in and kill the fucker or better rip out his cock and shove in his ass"Jenni interjected with a grin on his face,"No that would not be right we have to being him into justice..." Dean retorted scolding his sister.

Most of the prostitutes staffing the brothel had left, and the remainder ran away when they saw the flying...Fake-Angel thing heading towards their place, meaning that the building was empty when Aster, who was the Fake Angel, finally arrived, launching a single lance of light into the structure, blowing it up in a resounding explosion, an explosion that did not destroy the basement where the RRF hid. No, destroying the basement was Nikolai's job, as the Meta, now accompanied by some Mafiosos he met on the way, snuck into the basement doors, to be met by Pamela, who managed to bring down several of the goons with quick twists and kicks, giving the rest of the Rapid Response Force time to assemble and get their bearings. Which was a good thing, because Nikolai launched herself at Pamela, sawblades flashing. In the meantime, Bio-Beast roared out of the basement and launched himself at Aster, fighting with him for several minutes...

AS they were deciding on what to do with Avalon, loud explosions could be heard from above. "What now..." Light said as she volinteered to go up and take a look. On her way up to the surface, she ran into a lot of hostile mobsters that were attacking anything they saw, including her. Unfortunately for them guns didn't really do much to Light besides leave a few holes and make her mad, while she sent a couple flying into walls, but mostly used the last one she punched as cover to work her way upwards. While she didn't get every single one, she did knock out a few while some othrs got killed by friendly fire. The ones who got killed convulsed upon their death, their chests bursting with what looked like strange larval face huggers hopping out. Apparently whoever thought about that trap didn't think things through very much, as while a couple did latch onto Light's body, most just latched onto other mobsters, causing a nasty chain reaction. Much like the movies where the idea came from, the facehuggers on Light impaled her body laying some larva, then fell off her as they died. "Jeez first shot, now being the host for something out of a horror movie. Whats next?" Light said as the rest of the mobsters were distracted with the chaos that the facehuggers were causing, as well as fighting the federal agents down below. Light herself wasn't worried about the facehuggers, after all, things that get left inside her body don't stay bound to reality for very long. Popping herself back to relatively full health, Light went outside to see what was happening. What she saw was lots of rubble, no dead bodies, and drones bombing whatever they could with something in the sky controlling them. Light wasn't sure what was going on, but she knew she had to do something to stop the destruction. Finding a chunk of rubble to hid behind, she formulated a plan. Thankfully mos tof the drones were small things, and when they passed overhead, she snagged them up and put them in her pocket space, at least until it was nearly full. This cleared the sky of some droids while leaving her undetected, but there were still more to clear, which she had to do the old fashoned way by throwing large rocks at them to knock them out of the sky,.

Dean looking over to the source of the noise,The young man walked over to the source of the commotion to see drones roaming around firing at Light.”Damn how did they find us?” Dean muttered to himself running over to Light destroying one of the drones coming at them,”Need any help? ” He said to Light his hands holding onto the grass below him in a fit of frustration that this could be a trap of some sort to lead them out. “I know this could be a trap brother….or the son of a bitch is trying to kill people for the shits and giggles….” Jenni suggested but Dean dismissed it shaking his head,”No but I don’t know all I can do now is help these people…” Dean said to himself standing up and destroying a drone by sending one towards a small herd of mobsters in a large explosion.”We have to get the people to safety…and I cannot succumb to the darkness…” He said to himself protecting a couple,”Come on brother let me out and let me kill them all…” Jenni said to his brother but Dean shook his head once more throwing a mobster away form where Light was.

((Collab post between AcerRo, Letter Bee, and perhaps NarcissisticPotato)) Gary nodded to Elijah, acknowledging the truth in his words. "True," he spoke, "Avalon is conventionally impenetrable. However, there is a chink I know of, a possible hole in Avalon's armor. Do you know of a Metahuman called Nightmare?" The Merc would certainly have heard; Nightmare was a Meta whose power was to enter other's dreams, and use them to alter his own dreamstate; he can also kill people to increase his own power. "Yeah I know the guy. I had a couple of drinks with him awhile back. Wasn't the worst way to spend an afternoon." Eli could remember much about Nightmare, time and place had a lot to do with it. At the time they both prominent members of the area's underground. Both known for their ability to... Get things done that others might not able to. Elijah remembered he was a little new to the gain at that time. All he knew of Nightmare at the time was he was one watch, not fear worth but one to watch. There were times where Eli wished he knew more than did, but this was not one of them and he was starting to worry about where this rabbit hole might lead. "Well," spoke Gary, "Nightmare is one of Avalon's prisoners, and, due to the fact that his power works even while asleep, Hypnos the Magi's Coma powers do not work on him. That is the possible chink I talked about. If we can find a way to awaken him, and, yes, I'm aware that this is a long shot..." "Maybe I'm missing something but what the capital F fuck is Nightmare gonna do? Kill everyone inside for us? Why is everyone in such a hurry to go die in Avalon?" Maybe he wasn't all that bright but Elijah saw all of no way to get in there while the Magi were inside. If you got them then yeah, you had a pretty good fighting chance. Gary blinked. On the one hand, he didn't want to look stupid. On the other hand, he was being stupid. So, best to man up and admit it: "Basically, we decided to go after Avalon because it's the largest target in sight, as well as the location of the Voice. However, I won't lie; you're right," he said with regret. "Problem is, though, Aperture is the enemy, and we have to try and blunt them, somehow." Gary was waiting for Eli to suggest the obvious alternative: attack a lesser institution. "Hands down the easier thing to do is attack another place but that's also pretty predictable... What if we attack with a force just large enough to lure the magi out? That would give a small group that I an in no way apart of... A chance to get in and out. Stewie can coordinate the attacks and I'll figure a plan to get to Maui! Ready! Break!" Eli's already thunderous clap was made by the pocket of hot air created by his erupted hands. Gary smiled, and spoke: "Yeah, that's also an idea. Of course, we'll have to ensure that 1.) the small group hides their identities, and 2.) that nothing happens to destroy the RRF in the first place." He then had another thought: "Actually, going back to Nightmare...do you know that he has a daugther - one with similar powers? She's currently with the enemy, but, well, that might change." "Nightshade or some silly shit, we met when we were both younger. Those two were a close couple I'd I remember right. Oddly sweet girl, at least to me. Haven't seen her since the old gray mare got sent up the river." "I see," continued Gary. "Well, what do you think about trying to contact her?" "Not the best idea... She... Has away with people... A very, very special way." Elijah couldn't help but grin a little. "You know what, find her. Can't make anything worse than what's going on now." There was an almost devious smile on his face. The CEO smiled. "I'm a sucker for second chances -" Then, the videoscreens of the conference just shut down; the attack on the RRF had begun. "Or you're a dumb ass. But who am I to judge?"

Pamela was dead, and Val/Nahual was too, but not before the latter, in the form of a wolf-woman, managed to tear off Nikolai's throat, while at the same time, Aster had defeated Bio-Beast, and was now in the latter stages of killing him with a Hard-Light construct. Abigail, meanwhile, had been shot and killed by drones who, as robots, were immune to her powers. Now Light and Dean were the only survivors, which was bad as a dozen mobsters and drones survived, and while FakeAngel!Aster had been gravely wounded, he was preparing to send out four Hard-Light lances, two each at Dean and Light...

With the devastation and the death of the many comrades that had died,His attention turned to the FakeAngelAster his mind going blank for a moment his eyes closing for a short period of time before opening again."We have such sighs to show you..." He said his voice sounding more deeper then it usually was using his powers to try to rip the faker's arms and legs as slowly and painfully as possible with his telekinetic power.

Adam looked on over the city below him as he was on the look out for any suspicious activity that would possibly lead him to the ones responsible for the attacks against governmental buildings. Things had become pretty heated ever since the bombing of the FBI building, his bosses became more frantic and wanted him to get results on his investigation, but Adam had to tell them several times that it was going to take some time and he didn't want to blow his cover. There was no denying the fact that he was running out of time and the longer it took him to find the truth, the more likely it was that the government would act out of paranoia and start persecuting metahumans. He then heard the communicator on his gauntlet start to ring and he answered it. "Weapon Master speaking" he said into the the device. "My son, I am calling you to let you know privately that things might be taking a turn for the worse in the government and they're planning on making a decision on what to do with the metahuman problem" his father voice came out of the speaker, and his words made Adam frown. "But father, surely the government would realize that not every metahuman is a threat, many of them have used their powers for good, including me" Adam replied with an air of confidence in his voice. "I know that as well you son, but from the beginning there were always politicians who have thought of your kind as menace to society and with these attacks against the government, the fear-mongering has become easier now thanks to all of these attacks." "But what about me? I'm a Metahuman, they could round me up and put me in a cell with all of the other superhumans" he asked his father. "They wouldn't lock up one of their best agents, you are loyal to your country and the public likes you for the most part. Most importantly, I would never allow them to do that to you. If it ever comes to rounding up all of the metahumans, you won't be among them" his father replied. "I guess you're right, is that all you have to tell me?" "Not all, if you want to try and help the situation then stay close to the heroes in the city and help them take down the ones responsible for these attacks. Also you might have to get John to help you" and Adam was shocked at the suggestion. "Are you sure that's a good idea? He's lost his wife and he hates himself for what he has become" Adam asked not sure if it would be of any benefit asking John Morrison for help in trying to fight against the enemies of the government. "The board of directives think that since you two have a history of working together then it would improve your investigation son." "I guess I'll try to get him to join me, but I don't think it will work. Weapon Master out" he said to his father and ended the transmission. Adam decided to find the other heroes first before going to find John.

**US Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, CA** Elements of the First Marine Division began to leave the base, this included three regiments and enough material to occupy the area around Mosul. The US Marines were also mobilizing their air units from Twenty-Nine Palms, this included fighter craft and helicopters. **Fort Irwin** Elements of the US Army were now heading west towards LA. This included Infantry, US Airborne troops, and armor. The trains that held the tanks would off load outside of the city. They were guarded with air cover. **Off the Coast in the Pacific Ocean** The Third Fleet centered around USS Ronald Reagan began to start air cover around the area of the city LA. The waters around the area was also now being monitored by the US Navy. **Over LA** Above LA the massive form of the 767 E-3 began to fly circles over the city. The unique form of the airborne radar post acted as what it looked like but also an air based command platform to relay real time information to commanders. It was escorted by four F-35's. **All over the City of Los Angeles ** Members of US Special Forces were stationed in static locations in the city. This could be anywhere only the small unit commanders knew where they where. They had one purpose kill responsible parties for the FBI attack, they were no longer limited by legal doctrine. The girl that blew up the FBI offices was to killed with extreme prejudice. She was going to be an example. **Washington** The President's speech was nationally well received his poll numbers were boosted by twenty five percent from 38 to 63. The House Speaker agreed with the President and so did most of the members of congress. The NSA was running facial recognition scans on the FBI bomber. They figured they'd find her in 72 hours. **Los Anglese ** Members of the California National Guard now stood out in front of major land marks in the city. Helicopters were dropping leaflets stating there was a curfew. The warning was you could be fired upon without warning. ** Elena's office/apartment** Agent Reyes watched as the tanks rolled down Santa Monica boulevard on the TV. This was a show of force. "I'm fine Dean. Do you know how hard it is to kill a toon?" Light said, throwing a drone she had just caught into another drone, knocking them both out of the sky. Light had barely registered the large amount of fallen comrades until two collmuns of light hit her in the back. "Well this is weird." Light said as she noticed the two beams of light piercing her body. They disappeared soon after as the meta who had attacked Light was now being held aloft by Dean using some telekenetic powers. Noticing this, Light took the opportunity to pop herself back to normal before jumping up at the held meta, popping the parasites that the mobsters had put into her a few moments ago out of her chest in a dramatic fashion at the meta.
