A tavern made just for me to roleplay in. I've never held such vanity! If my character were to approach the barkeep, he probably wouldn't be able to find anything to do. But if he approached the woman in the faded red dress, and asked if there was anything he could help with, would there be a side-quest in place? Or should I come up with it myself?

For the time being, at least, I will be controlling all of the NPCs in the tavern directly... in other words I will make sure that they all behave as though they were real characters and react to what Kaedan does and says the way they would have. Would there be a side-quest if one was to address the true deigan? It's possible, though it will depend on the exact progression of events. Technically, any character in The Prophecy is a potential source of side-quests, if one wants to use that term about it, though it is a bit gamey. In any event, just have Kaedan enter and do whatever he would naturally do; I will handle the rest and try to keep it interesting.

Thanks Nessa, but I know; now that I have a bit more time, with the last exam of this round out of the way, I'll be able to be more active in here again, and I will get to posting in the collab, but right now I have other things that require my attention. Getting a scene started for Veridis seemed the highest priority for the moment, and it only seemed natural to couple that with another post that went in the same thread, so those were the ones that jumped the line for the moment. I'll get to the collab soon, I promise. And I'm sorry that I haven't been as present here as I should be...

@Jack: As you yourself have always said, real life comes first. And as I've always said, if there is something I can do or help you with, just let me know. I myself don't really have any actual duties until mid-April besides the occasional meeting (as I think I also mentioned) and currently - for some reason - organizing plane tickets for a group of people... (I honestly don't even know why I am the one doing it, but eh, sure, I can do that, too.) So I am mostly just taking things from my not-so-little list of things to eventually do when I have the time and doing those in no particular order. So ... yeah. I technically have plenty of time to spare, and can probably get to things right away - the main reason why I might not with non-urgent things being really just me probably not feeling like it (or having even older things of similar nature I also have noted down as needing to be done someday when I have time). Not so much feeling like doing art, more so feeling like writing something - though I don't really know whether I have any ideas afloat that are good enough for full solo-writing works (there are things I could write about practically indefinitely, but I don't really like repeating myself too much, even conceptually, and if I write something, I'd rather it was something I can publish or release in some form or another) and my cowriter - both of them, actually? - is a bit MIA, so it is mostly roleplays and related for the time being. (And I'm not in all that many roleplays to begin with.) Alternatively I can just write a few more Wiki articles. The Estonian one is actually lacking in a few areas I am qualified in, although I've noticed one of our universities has been basically employing the students to fill it out. (There are these headers announcing that this article is being written by so-and-so as a part of that university's coursework.) Good idea, actually - let the students do something that is actually useful for someone rather than just produce properly referenced in-depth papers that will be forgotten about and stashed or thrown away as soon as they have been presented... I was simply playing computer games most of yesterday. I hadn't played computer games for a long time.

@cthulu: Did you post again after me? I see my post as last. (If you didn't, nothing wrong with that, I am just slightly confused over the 'sits down' part, since in the post before mine she was still standing in some vague point, along with my guy.) I assume she'd be moving along with Aemoten and taking seat next to him?

@Shien No I haven't posted again nor is there any change to my previous post. My point was that I have nothing to post and no motivation to try and turn following Aemoten and sitting near him or standing their awkwardly into a three paragraph post.

@Nessa: Yeah, if Thaler herself doesn't have anything she wants to say or do, then it's all Jack's turn now. The last question was mostly just so I/Jack would know where she is and what she is doing "now", or by the end of my post. Aemoten might ask her to take a seat if she actually remains standing, but else he'd probably just remain quiet for the time being (besides the quiet instructions), at least until Jaelnec/someone brings them the things and he has had a bit of time to try and gather himself as much as possible under these circumstances. (This is often why I ask those little specifying questions in OoC - to know where exactly everyone is and what they're doing, so it'd be possible to take account of those details without new IC content from the respective player.) Random: I've been sort of been looking for new music to add to my general playlist. Predominantly specifically looking for various instrumental (and possibly near-instrumental) pieces (not even certain how exactly to describe my general taste in music ... a bit over all over the place, and I don't really even know what genres half of those things exactly are). Might have a tendency to pick more aggressive and/or powerful tracks? Eh, but if anyone feels like giving some suggestions on what I might take a listen at, I'd appreciate it, in any case. Bands, composers, computer games with music that is worth listening out-of-context, individual tracks, whatever goes.

Instrumental music, eh? Well, you already know that I have taken a liking to Two Steps From Hell and audiomachine, both of which being sources that have served as sources of musical themes for my characters in the past, and the composer Michael Riske also strikes me as quite good, though not as productive. Other nice sources of music readily available on YouTube would be Brand X Music and Immediate Music, and also Ethos Music, though I haven't heard enough from the latter to confirm the general quality. And games with aggressive, powerful music... Well, the original Halo had some great music in it (every couple of years I like to replay it just for the music), which has been redone in countless different versions over time. In terms of powerful music, the soundtrack from Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core has some pretty notable examples, I think... That's all I can think of right now, I think. Will mention it if I think of any more.

I kind of feel that the instrumental pieces (be they the epic orchestral kind or the other type(s) I have found myself enjoying ... I think I could partially blame certain computer games from the second half of nineties for the latter) fit what I am generally using the playlist for best. I am most often listening music as a background when I am doing something a bit more mechanical, such as drawing (not so much as a mood-setter, but rather somewhat independently). Helps with focusing on the task... (I've also done the opposite in the past - drawing to keep my focus on audible input. Something about the optimal level of occupation, I suppose.) I recall about TSFH and audiomachine, yes... (I also recall Ashgan actually commenting on your choice to go with audiomachine's tracks for your characters, and approving of it.) I already did go over TSFH's music a while back - a significant fraction of it, in any case; I am positive I probably still missed some, though. I haven't gone over audiomachine's yet, though, even if do have some of their tracks (probably over half of which are there exactly because you have linked those in the past). Brand X Music and Immediate Music and Ethos Music I have heard of, but not really looked into yet; Michael Riske doesn't ring a bell, so he's perhaps completely new to me. Halo and Chrisis Core's music is likewise new to me, since I've only played very little of the former (don't own it myself) and none of the latter. *mutters something vague over videogames* Thanks, in any case; I will be finding a few playlists and sorting through them as I do other things (as I typically do in these instances). @The New Yorker: Still waiting for your computer to be fixed?

@The New Yorker: Still waiting for your computer to be fixed?
Yeah, its at an unstable stage, so I can still use it but it's really unreliable. So, I've had to set a list of priorities for how I use it. Unfortunately this RP doesn't make the short list. Soon, however, it will be up and functional again, and I'll be able to reset my attention.

By my post, it is already night-time. I'll let you guys get to the morning before making another post, unless my character has to be awoken for whatever reason. Two silver coins is dirt cheap, right? That's the assumption I made. Edit: Shien please read the post again. There were a ton of white-space lines that didn't carry over for some reason. I just fixed it up and I don't want you to read the ugly version.

One rodlin (rodlin are both silver and the local currency) is for what you can get a place that can serve as a room to sleep in with probably no(t much) more than a cheap wooden chair, just as cheap small table and a something that can function as a bed (bugs may or may not be included in the price) in a place like this, I'd figure (which is to say, I derived that much from what Jack said earlier). Not sure how quickly morning would arrive, though... Zerul-part is waiting on Merc for the time being, Borderhouse is wrapping up (Nessa's turn now, I believe), but there'd still be the reception in Zerul and probably some other stuff before they can turn in for the night (I also predict it is a different inn they are staying at, perhaps the one I'on wanted to put Ixion and Morgan into - even if their acquaintance hadn't organized anything, this time Aemoten would probably send sparing money for long just so that he and his group can get some decent well-deserved rest). Reading post now...

I'm pretty confident that he'd get a better place than a floorspot under the stairs for two rodlin ... unless the barkeep can tell he's foreigner and decides to rob him blind. Or perhaps the bar is full already and the barkeep would scoff something along those lines? Or he'd offer to throw out someone who only paid one rodlin? How'd I know? I'd figure the most reasonable thing to do would be to simply cut the post short where he drops the coins on the table and let Jack handle the rest, as he said he would. His NPC's and all.

Copper coins exist as currency on Melenian Isles, but not Rodoria ... I am sort of inclined to think a random inn in Rodoria would simply not accept those (or any other coins but rodlin)... (In any case, it is still preferable that you left handling the NPC's Jack created to Jack.)
