"The plan is to find the room filled with information in black and white. My guess is that there is more than one room that has information in it. Every office would have it, records, labs, and the library. My question is how do we determine if the room we find is the right one? We can't spend the whole day searching one room."Roxy told them.

Flippy pondered a little bit about what Roxy said about how do we know it's the right room. "Well why don't we just split up and come back here when we're done then we share what each of us discovered?" he said hoping his idea was good. He knows from past experiences his ideas aren't always good ones.

Felice stopped and turned back to the group when he heard the suggestion to split up. Pointing to the boy he thought the sentence had come from, he nodded in agreement. "Gruppi di due persone?" As he looked over, he noticed what he was looking not too far away on the wall. Not wasting any more time, though he did wonder how he had missed it earlier, he walked toward it quickly and beckoned for the others to follow.

He didn't expect very much to be labeled on the evacuation map, but he did hope for an accurate layout of the floor at the very least. With that, they would at least have some idea of the best way to go about searching, and maybe make some guesses as to where they should go.

" Well looky here they did have one. Looks like its attached to the wall. So no use in trying to take ut with us." Fox said fallowing the boy to the wall. She had a idea. But it probably wouldnt work. Unless anyone else noticed.

Roxy shook her head. She wasn't sure that going to separating was a good idea. It hadn't worked so well in the past. But she didn't was anything, It was there choice. They didn't trust her. She didn't blame them. They didn't know her. They had no reason to. Eventually they would learn that she didn't learn that she didn't lie. She never lied.

Ezekiel came closer and looked over the fire girl's shoulder at the drawing on the wall. It contained quite a lot of information, but he guessed the important bits were missing, since there is no point in overloading an emergency document with details. He wiggled politely past the french guy and looked down the hall. Yes, he had a much better chance of getting to know this place with his feet.

He walked to the end of the long corridor, turned right, and walked to the end of the following corridor. Riddle or not, they were given a chance to get to know the facility, and he decided to take it. Most of the signs on the doors made no sense to him, so he continued walking until the 3rd corridor ended. The facility took a squarish shape in his mind. This was a good start.

He turned on his heels, and approached the nearest guard or other staff member.

"The way I see it we have three choices. We can all go our separate ways, we can pair up or we can go as a group. There are pros and cons to all of them. It's up to you guys. Discuss it between yourselves and let me know." Roxy told them as she leaned against the wall. She wondered what option they would choose. It made no difference to her. They weren't likely to succeed no matter what they did.

Felice was a little put off by how noncommittal the dark girl was. It seemed to him almost like she didn't even care anymore what they did. Even after having been on his own for a while, he still felt like anyone who openly cared too little to offer their opinion when absolutely nobody had a clue what to do was probably going to get everyone killed or worse. Or even draw undue suspicion that would leave them vulnerable to the rest of the group at a critical moment. Like I said, nobody's trustworthy. And there's not enough time for this.

Giving another huff, he held up two fingers. "Come ho detto, vorrei che andremmo in gruppi di due. Ma che pensate tutti?" ("Like I said, I would prefer groups of two. But what about everyone else?") He tapped the side of his head and pointed to the others nearby as he asked, not willing to just start a plan without giving them a chance to object. If they failed to offer an opinion now, that was their problem, but at least he would have tried. However they decided to do things, he wasn't going to be stopped from getting what he needed done, and this task was currently in the way of that.

He honestly wasn't sure what the larger male from earlier was doing at this point, either, as he seemed to have gone off somewhere on his own. Not running after him. If he needs help, he can come find one of us again.

" Ill go with groups of two. More area searched in less time." Fox said agreeing with the shorter boy. She had a bit of a plan to go along with her statement.

"Fine. You take the one who doesn't speak English." Roxy told the other girl. She didn't have the patience to deal with someone she couldn't understand. She looked up and down the hall. There wasn't much to see from where they were. It was typical government building. The floors where a cheerful beige and the walls a lovely gray. There was nothing on the walls other then doors. The amount of doors varied from hall to hall. This hall had 8. There were 4 on each side. Each door had a keypad. There was a guard at each one. Some rooms were labeled but most had no indication of what was inside. She turned to the English speaking boy. "It isn't likely to be on this floor since he started us here. Do you want to go up or down?"

" Sure ill take him." she said before staring at the map a little bit more. She was trying to memorise the room layout for this floor at least. A small flame appeared on her hand as she was thinking. it crawling up her arm as she kept staring at the map before looking at the boy. " Can you understand me at least? Cause I barely understand you."

Felice felt some form of slight irritation at being both labeled in a barely subtle way and pushed off on someone else as their problem because of that label. Rude! But not uncommon, he figured. It wasn't the first time for him, anyway, so no point in getting hyper over it now. It bothered him more to be spoken about rather than to due to his difference in speech. She hadn't even tried to speak directly to him the entire time, had she? At least he had made an effort to do so without giving anything away.

Looking back over at the burning girl, he raised an eyebrow at her question, trying to think whether or not he had made that clear before. Likely not, if she had to ask in the first place. "Piu ò meno. La lingue, si." (Pretty much "language-wise, yes".) He waited for another moment as she memorized the map before gesturing down the hall and speaking again. "Va bene? Andiamo?"

" I was thinking... no that's a crazy plan and I don't think Vlad would allow me to have a piece of paper. But if we systamaticly check each door we could mark the ones locked, and leave the others blank. Then divide up the search between us two. it would allow us not to go hunting around for a open door or search what has already been searched." she said in a more run-on sentence. It wasn't nice of Roxy to talk about him and just dump him on her. She didn't mind but it was still rude to do so. They were supposed to be a team, teams take on all challenges together right.... Yeah she had read to many of those newsletters.

Roxy nodded her approval. She went towards her 'partner'. He didn't seem the least bit interested in working with her but he hadn't protested her idea so she figured that he didn't have a better one. "Up or down?" She asked him wanting to know where he wanted to start. While she had done this before she didn't know where everything was. She knew where some offices were though and she planned to start.

(will add styling later)

The guard that Ezekiel approached was six foot six and just a little over two hundred pounds. He was muscular without being overly so. He had jet black hair that was cut in a military fashion and dark blue eyes. He studied the boy with a mild curious look.

Ezekiel approached him carefully. He couldn't avoid feeling threatened by the man's imposing figure, even without taking into account his riot equipment and weapons. But even so, the boy was relieved at the fact the guard did not attack him or try to stop him - Vlad's dictator-like manner constantly made him feel like he was trespassing, and he subconsciously expected the same behavior from the rest of the staff. But the challenging part was ahead of him - he knew that to get what he wanted, he needed an exact amount of confidence.

"Hi." he said, in a business-like manner, "I am one of Vlad's new recruits, and I'm looking for the library?" He cursed inwardly at the unnecessary question mark. "Do you know where it is?"

The guard smirked. He thought that this boy wasnt very smart. First he told him something that every guard in the building knew then he asked the worlds stupidst question. "Considering that I have worked in this building for over ten years I wouldnt be a very good guard if I didnt know where the library was.?"

Ezekiel smiled uncomfortably. He could recognise a predator's smile quite easily. It was obvious the guard is going to toy with him, but the actual words he said gave the young man some hope. Despite this, he would not be enjoying what was going to come. "Ten years, really?" He made an innocently curious face. "So you must've seen lots of guys like us come and go?" It was a good question, actually. Was this project really new? "What were they like?" He wondered in the back of his mind how good the pay was to make this guy so unambitious.

"You are only the second patch of criminals that the doctor has had here. Before that this was a pretty regular job." the guard answered. He didnt approve of letting teenage criminals roam the facility freely. He believed that they should be locked up but the doctor was in charge. He would follow orders and only keep them out of the restricted rooms.

"Hmmm... I wonder what happened to them." Ezekiel rubbed his chin, while underhandedly trying to read the guard's expression. Then he remembered the Shadow Girl - she must've been from the first batch. Was she the only one who survived? Then again, he couldn't tell if the others were really new or were faking it. He decided to get back to the mission.

"Listen, I'm sorry to bother you with this, but we are on a timed research mission given by Vlad. Could you point me to the library?"

The guard snorted. "I could point you in the right direction but if this was an enemy base you would have no one to ask and if you were stupid enough to ask you would probably be killed. You will have to find the library on your own."

"An enemy base?!" The young man raised his eyebrows. This changed his entire understanding of the mission. He considered saying something about the man being an enemy guard and other things involving knocking him out and picking his pockets. "Well then, are you going to stop me from trying to enter this room?" He gestured at the door next to the guard.

"No. The doctor said you were to have access to all but a few of the rooms. This isnt one of the restricted rooms. I am just here to make here you dont damage or take anything." The guard told him. He watched the boy to see what he would do next.

"I see. Thanks." Ezekiel looked at the door before turning to scan the entire hallway. It was important to know he wasn't supposed to sneak around or break into places. He figured he'd best check all the rooms, mark their purpose on the map, and continue from there. But since he had no pen and paper on him, all he could do was check the rooms in his immediate vicinity.

"I'm Ezekiel, by the way." He told the guard over his shoulder before entering the room at the end of the hall. "Have a nice day."

"I know." The guard answered without hesitation. He knew all the teens, their abilities, and their crimes. He was familiar with the skills that had been documented. He watched the boy in the room. It was a simple storage room with suppilies like towels, sheets, and blankets. Nothing that was helpful to the teen.

Roxy shook her head and leaned against the wall. She had no desire to follow Ezekiel. She was pretty sure that the room they were looking for wasn't on this floor. Vlad wasn't going to make it easy for them. He wanted them to fail so that he had an excuse to punish them. But he wouldn't make it too hard either. If they succeeded Vlad would take the credit for making them a 'team'. She either way they wouldn't get anything out of the exercise so she was putting as little effort into it as possible.

Felice nodded. He wasn't sure where the fire girl had been going with the first part of that sentence, but the rest of it made sense so far. "Va bene. Ma come?" He shrugged again with another questioning gesture. the only thing he wasn't sure about was exactly how they would mark the doors. If they could get into any of the rooms, though perhaps they could find something to mark them with.

...And maybe something else to make their lives easier.

While he walked with the girl, he continued thinking about the instructions they received. This was a simulation of some kind, wasn't it? They were supposed to figure out the hunt with minimal details, and it was supposed to tie into the mission training they would be doing later, wasn't it?

And yet, it didn't seem quite right yet.

Nudging the girl beside him with his elbow, he gestured toward the nearest room and tried the door, glancing a bit suspiciously at the guard as he got close. This wasn't the worst place to start, after all, and maybe they could put a few ideas to use with whatever they found here.

The big teen looked closer at the assorted cleaning equipment, but... no, there didn't seem to be a catch, or a hidden door. He leaned out of the room and looked down the long hallway - there were at least a dozen doors in this hallway, and it was one of three of roughly the same size that he passed on the way. He snorted. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but experience claimed that you can use a hammer on a screw if you have enough patience and it's large enough.

Thus, one by one, Ezekiel began trying the doors of all rooms between him and the turn of the corridor.

Roxy followed her partner as he checked the other rooms on this hall. There were several doors in this hallway. Eight on all if she bothered counting. Most of them weren't lables. The second door he opened was bedroom. One of the full time guards from the looks of it. She didn't bother going in. The third was a class room of some sort. Science she thought when she was the test tubes and beakers. The fourth was another supply closet this one else cleaning supplies. She thought they were wasting their time but she didn't say anything as he looked through each room.

When the two reached the classroom, Ezekiel turned with the intention of going in. He remembered what the guard at the end of the hall told him, and first leaned into the room to see if the nearest one tries to stop him or interferes in any way. Satisfied it was safe, he came in, and after throwing a guilty look to the shadow girl started opening all the drawers and closets that were spread around the interior walls of the room.

In his search, even when his hands fell on some fancy metallic widget or a complicated device, he would gently push it aside. Eventually he stopped near the lecturer's desk, the drawers of which contained more basic supplies - alcohol based markers, pencils, papers and some 30cm steel rulers. They bent like paper when his fingers crossed over a bundle, out of which he selected five. Four of them he bent into bracelets and put them around each wrist and ankle, under his clothes, where they seemed to hold snugly against his skin. The fifth he sharpened into a thin blade by squishing the edge with thumb and forefinger, and spent a few minutes sharpening the pencils with it. He then proceeded to slowly eat the blade, all the while avoiding the shadow girl's gaze.
