I don't think things like the color scheme resembling some other site's color scheme - regardless of what that other site stands for - is to be considered a matter of any noteworthiness.

If you only knew what "issues" I've seen people raise as serious concerns...

(Besides, I've been working a bit too much these past couple of weeks and have been awake a bit too long now. My human compatibility module is failing.)

Not an issue post, but just one of thanks!

@Mahz, I appreciate all of the hard work you put into making RPG a better site for everyone! First it was the wonderful addition of BBcode, then the horizontal lines, the new quotes, the side bar with the statuses/likes, recent interest check/RP threads, and now the addition of PM folders. I don't know much about coding or how much hard work really goes into it, but from a normal member to you, I would like to give you my thanks.

Don't worry saying Roleplayer Guild doesn't get you banned unless you don't spit on the ground, spin three times and then carve a pentagram into the ground.

What about sacrificing newbies in profane rituals to summon Great Old Ones? Does that count? Or is the spitting, spinning and pentagram the only ritualistic way?

Depends on the quality of the sacrifice. Athough I have heard chanting Mahz, Sherlock, Kangaroo and Hank helps.

In Search of a Better Post Editor

Since the current BBCode editor is so bad (despite a large time investment), I'm thinking of introducing an alternative editor that you can toggle if you prefer. I think the current editor is a real sore point for the Guild. It's just so tedious.

Editors I'm looking at so far:

1. Froala <- I prefer this one
2. Redactor

My criteria for an alternative editor:

- Works (and is usable) on most mobile devices
- No input lag on slower mobile devices
- Nice WYSIWYG editor that's not too painful when it can't read your mind or when you mess up
- Easy for me to extend it with features (quote system, @mentions, dice rolls, image uploads/embeds)

Though I want to emphasize that even if I find another editor that fits the bill, I will keep the existing BBCode editor around for a while time.

If anyone could play with those editors, especially on a mobile device, and lemme know what you think, I'd appreciate it.

Redactor has a very annoying tendency of popping into and out of existence when scrolling on a mobile device. Both tend to appear at the top of the screen at all times, creating a bit of an irritating flickering. Redactor has more features, but Froala has the features it includes implemented smoother.

Got the same effect on Redactor. Redactor was a bit annoying with its pop in and pop out from the scrolling, and adding of a new line that would scroll the page upwards would also cause flickering.

Froala didn't have the flickering issue, but you mentioning that appeared at the top of the screen is interesting cause mine appeared at the bottom and covered the last line of edited text.

Redactor keeps flickering on my mobile, especially on scrolling and whenever I try to focus it (as the people above mentioned), and I'm no even sure what Froala is doing. It actually looks like it switches between rendering and not rendering? The screen area just turns pure white every now and then, and the editor may or may not reappear when you scroll up and down a bit.
