Manami Fuyu, Shiro Hime, Jane Firestorm and Maxie Firestorm

@Raijinslayer

"What's wrong?" Shiro asked quizzically as she looked from Nidhogg, to Manami, to Maxie, back round to Nidhogg. with her head cocked slightly to the side. What did she miss while she was sleeping?
Maxie frowned as he listened to what Nidhogg how to say. He was about to make a retort, when suddenly Nidhogg's shoulder burst open and blood sprayed everywhere around of Maxie and Jane. Jane watched with wide, panicky eyes as a huge glob of it landed smack on her torso and head.
Suddenly trembling she fell to her knees and began to hyperventilate as Manami simply sat there in shock at what just unfolded, now that she had finally stop covering her eyes, while Shiro seemed to look even more confused.
Maxie on the other hand had rushed to his sisters side and was consoling her before he went and grabbed Nidhogg by the scruff of his new shirt, but it didn't really work all that well considering Maxie was a couple of inches shorter.
"You fucker! If you wanna go, just say so. I'll rip you apart." He hissed angrily before he suddenly found himself pushed away and back onto his seat. As he looked up to see who the culprit was, it was Manami as she stood between the two men.
"Max my dear, calm yourself and your sister down. Nidhogg, please stop antagonizing them. As much as I would love to see you two duke it out, I would rather you two don't destroy the city. And if you two did....well who exactly said we needed to not blow our covers?" Manami said calmly as she looked from one man to the other, her face still obviously flustered from before. However she gave Maxie a smug grin at the last comment, and a mocking tone to match.
Maxie was furious. His entire demanour and facial expression gave that away, however he simply clenched his fists and went back to the still frozen to the spot Jane.
"Come Jane, we don't have the time to waste here...Let's get you cleaned up, then we'll go find Ash's trail. Manami, I expect some sort of written report by the time I come back. And Nidhogg pull a stunt like that again, and being Georgie's pet still won't save you." Maxie said over his shoulder, not even bothering to hide the hostility in his tone before helping Jane to her feet and the both of them leaving the room for the bathroom.

Turning to Nidhogg, Manami chuckled slightly before shaking her head.
"I sorta feel sorry for Jane. If you take out her brother complex, she's not too bad. But it's always amusing watching Max get like that." Manami giggled before she twirled back towards Shiro.
"Let's get dressed Shiro. Big day ahead, more slayers to get rid off." Manami said cheerfully before pausing and half turning back to Nidhogg.
"Also in my defense Nidhogg, he was my 'prey' first. I'd been looking for him for some time. It just so happened he was in the cross-hairs of your rage yesterday at the same stage we had tracked him down. And the grimoire itself isn't really that powerful....though I had never considered a fake." Manami added with a sweet, endearing smile which soon turned to a thoughtful look. She soon shuddered as she realised that if it was a fake....she was the first on Georgie's list for delivering it to her.
Sure, she mightn't be killed....but Georgie had numerous things which she could do which were worse than death.
"I apologise for yesterday Nidhogg-sama. However, Manami-sama's orders are absolute." Shiro bowed apologetically towards the necrotic mage as her usual listless voice made the apology seem rather weak. However, it was probably as genuine as Shiro could make it. However she still wouldn't apologise unless she meant it.

Cody Bloodstein

@Roseletta@Zarkun
Cody looked towards the exceed with a confused look. Why would he interfere? He mightn't be a good people person, and horribly inexperienced in fighting decent opponents...however he is still able to see malice or intent in attacks....somewhat.
"Um...ok?" He replied slowly. He had assumed that they were friends, and he had read in some history text that some slayers liked to spar (*cough*natsu*cough*) each other to test themselves.....In fact a lot wizards had a friendly match to test themselves. So this guy was also a slayer? Interesting to learn.
"Armor? I never thought about that." Cody turned back to James and replied thoughtfully. Naturally with his magic, he wouldn't exactly need armor so the thought had never crossed his mind. However, if he was training to use a sword and he wasn't using his magic then perhaps armor would certainly be helpful...especially after how sore he felt now.
He allowed himself one last lingering glance towards Amaya before awaiting for James to lead him the way to a armory, or wherever they planned on getting this armor.

Ashlyn Johnson

@Zarkun@hatakekuro@oblivion666@liferusher@Caits@Raijinslayer@Lugubrious
Ashlyn raised an eyebrow at Isla's response. Hostage? Why were light guilds taking little girls hostage?
"Really? Jeez, what did you do to piss them, and him in particular, off? I didn't think legal guilds had it in them to take hostages." Ash replied with a soft laugh without realizing fully what she had just said. Though it could be taken in many ways. However she still wore her frown.
"And here I thought joining a legal guild would be getting me out of this kind of business." Ash mumbled softly under her breath as she looked off into the distance thoughtfully. First they were most likely here to kill some plague victims, now she found out they were kidnapping little girls?
Turns out these 'legal' guilds mightn't be too different from dark guilds after all.
"Just stay by me kid. You seem to be interesting, so let's walk and talk." Ash said as her demeanor seemed to change rather rapidly to all smiles again before she ruffled Isla's white hair playfully.

Lucas & Damian

Flashback...

Lucas flew across the sky at lightning speed, he had to find Damian, fast. If what that girl said was true, then The Golden laws finally have their super weapon. The guild master needs to be notified, but before going all crazy about this, he had to find Damian. He finally saw him, he was among houses, looks like he was recovering from a fight. Lucas landed without stopping his motion, rushing next to Damian, without saying a word. Damian looked up as Lucas arrived, spinning Durandal around before placing the blade back on his back. When the other mage reached him, he held up a hand. "I'm alright, Lucas. Just didn't account for a hand coming out of a portal from no where." Lucas's head slightly bobbed down, his fear was coming alive. "Damian, I have recently discovered what the weapon is. I wanted proof before going to the master but it cant wait now. The weapon is too powerful, and now they have all the parts to make it." Lucas looked towards the bright sky, it may be the last time he sees it so beautifully. "Any weapon that's been broken into pieces is going to take time to calibrate, build properly and ensure proper function. Jamie needs to be told, but we do have time. Oh, and keep an eye out for a guy with a fresh gash across one eye. I managed to wound one of the two, guy used some kind of lightning magic." Damian followed his gaze. "Besides, they've set themselves at a disadvantage with so few in their guild, even if they are strong. Always a bigger fish, as my father used to say when we would loose a battle." Lucas shook his head. "No Damian. They are no longer small. Their guild is no longer alone. The enemy is in the hundreds, maybe even thousands. It's true we have time, but that time is so little. Maybe a week. I do not know the full capabilities of this device but from what I've gathered, it has a beam like Etherion. I also have reason to believe its a I de-limiter, meaning no magic drain. I shall go tell the master, but we have to prepare for anything." Damian shook his head. "That much power takes time to get used to as well. As for their numbers, well, I'm not worried. You forget that the number of Light Guilds and wizards is still higher than that of their dark counter parts." Lucas was still too worried. "The wielder, my father, has been training his whole life for this, it may not take as long as you think. And its true we too have armies, were not just versing guilds. Mercs are with them too. That girl, Charlie Portwing was the one who stole the last piece, is a merc herself. And that lightning wizard, is the infamous wolf slayer, killer of guilds." Lucas slowly paced, before stopping and turning to Damian, "These next few days are crucial. No time to spare." Noting Lucas' worry, Damian pulled his attention to himself and looked the young man in the eye. "You can't train for having no limits because you will ALWAYS have limits without a special device like this weapon." At the mention of mercenaries, Damian's lips pursed together but he still didn't seem too concerned. "Men and women loyal only to their next paycheck? Poor crowd to put their faith in." Lucas came to a sudden realization. "Wait!" Lucas faced Damian, "If the device is capable of firing a beam slimier to Etherion, then it would possibly need to be charged, a day at least. If something is drawing that magical power, a sensor mage could pin point it's location, right?" He looked Damian up and down, "She stopped his attacks, Charlie i mean, didn't she?" His mind flicking to her on the cliff. Damian shrugs. "First question's answer, most likely, if you can find a mage with that magic. Answer to the second, maybe, but I was too busy fighting and blocking attacks myself to focus on where all the portals were coming from. It's how she got the drop on me." Lucas thought about his encounter with her, if she wanted to, she could've got out of my hold... "Alright, so what do you need me to do?" "Tell Master Jamie to keep an eye out for them, and continue on as normal as possible. The last thing we need is any kind of panic." "Tell Master Jamie to keep an eye out for them, and continue on as normal as possible. The last thing we need is any kind of panic." Lucas turned, he readied his jump before turning to Damian, "What will you do?" Damian chuckles as he summons a small knife blade and lets it dance on his finger tip. "Train and repair bridges, metaphorically speaking. Don't worry, everything'll be fine.".

Aisling Eisen

Aisling having gathered her thoughts for at least a little while, filed away Penny's wisdom and the fact she was an S class mage. With a frown Aisling said “I don't even know what class I am... How do you tell? Are there tests? I don't like tests...” she trailed off realising she was beginning to babble again it seemed to annoy Penny somewhat, it was often the same with the caravan folk she had travelled with, few people except her grandfather had put up with it. “Sorry... Um yes, that's why I'm here, fate really is a strange thing,” She said breaking into a smile.

“Maybe I could join Phoenix Wing if I'm strong enough? Could we find out somewhere other than this rooftop?” She emphasized her point by rubbing her arms against the chill wind, though honestly it did not bother her, perhaps Penny would be.

Even as the quick tempers of several soldiers smouldered, the group as a whole followed the lead of the behatted cleric, moving through the town toward the left of the gate. The main path through Belka, composed of well-trodden coffee-brown earth, led Frenzy Plant past several stacks of buildings. It abruptly gave way to a wooden platform where the ground abruptly dropped away into another wide shelf about twenty feet lower, though the buildings stayed the same; here, the huts seemed more like highrises. Numerous ropes, arches, and rough bridges hung over the vast corridor of structures wood and stone alike, and the orange-gold light of uncountable braziers shone from each. In this place, there existed so many doorways, windows, and angles from which people might come, that the only semblance of true security lay in humanity itself. Yet here at least there existed refuge from the mountain winds, and in the security of this populated lane the soldiers traveled. They marched down a long wooden ramp and onto the road, as if it never departed from the original, and the cleric led them. Two by two they strode, careful not to entangle themselves in groups of people on the road's sidelines, or in any of the carts, tables, stands, or fences that edged it.

For his nastiness, however warranted, Ike received a stern look from Sanders. ”We know what she's capable of and how to deal with her, and our captivity system is well-developed, even on the move. If she troubles us, she will be punished. In the mean time, please restrain yourself from being tough by throwing rocks at a child. Harming guild prisoners is its own offense.” At that moment, the guild emerged from the town corridor into a plaza of sorts, weedy but paved in aged cobblestone, with a large well at the center. The complaints of Gabriel flew through the renewed breeze, and Sanders told the cleric. ”Pardon us for a moment, deacon. Won't be long.” Drawing to a halt, the soldiers spread out into the plaza, subtly thrilled to be out of the confines of the building-walled road. The general fixed his eyes on Leo. His knowledge of spirits was, unfortunately, limited, but he knew disruption and insubordination when he saw it. Sanders told the lion, ”Spirit. It is unseemly for anyone, soldier or not, to step out of line and utter brash words when already taking advantage of a stranger's hospitality. It is unsightlier still to obstruct the workings of a guild and harass its members—for Private Gabriel is not at all the only soldier you have irritated. Desist or depart as you please, but be warned: if you do not comply, you are not welcome in our company.”

With that unpleasantness out of the way, Sanders returned to the cleric and offered an apologetic inclination of his head before the group began once more. His distance from the rear of the column, where Ashlyn and Isla walked, prevented him from hearing their conversation, but Mercury did not fail to overhear them. Looking over his shoulder at Ashlyn, he told her, “Listen up, newbie. It ain't your fault for not knowin', since ya just got with us, but li'l Isla here's practically a demon. We caught wind of her after she used her magic to trap Ike in a paintin' where he was hounded by monsters for 'bout a month. Time passed quicker in the paintin', ya see. We freed him, but the experience traumatized him. We learned that the li'l girl's been doin' this for some time, and never freed anyone that she trapped. She might look innocent, but she's doomed more innocent people to an awful fate then the rest of Frenzy Plant combined.” His eyes shone like cold steel. ”And 'til she helps us free every single one, she's stayin' with us.”

Just to the left side of the plaza, nestled against and in fact into the stony bluff, there lay an expanse of yellow grass. Anyone familiar with agriculture could tell by the stringed, discolored grass that the soil here had been overused in recent years, depleting its nutrition and making it useless for farming. It did, however, make the perfect spot for setting up camp. Before parting, the cleric told Sanders, “If you have any questions, please ask me or Evgeny. I'm in the liddle church by the graveyard on the opposite side o' town, but Evgeny's in the schoolhouse I told you about, just over there.” He pointed toward the area straight on from the plaza, where the land angled upward again. Terraces of farmland dotted its face, but on one large terrace there stood the schoolhouse, its windows lit and paned with actual glass. A wandering eye could not ignore the blackened stones and ashen cinders of a burned-down house directly across the plaza, seemingly balance precariously on the edge of a cliff.

The tents went up quickly, the hand that worked them unenthusiastic but practiced. Frenzy Camp was now situated in Belka.

"it was all we could offered, but we would have done it here anyway, it's such a charming little place, and Mrs Pompfrey saved use more then once" Jamie said to Amelia, letting herself be led to a table by the old woman. "people think things need to be grand, expensive, but...it doesn't, as long as it has meaning"

The old woman did not seem fazed by Amelia's wings, giving both girls a cheerful smile, warm and grandmotherly. "Aren't you two just positively adorable!"

Sasha
@yipeeXD
"Not really" Sasha said softly, then sighed "well, not about this, and there's no point adding something else in that's not going to be necessary yet" she gave him a smile, "let's just try and enjoy the day off, okay? Show them we aren't phased by what they've done"

Carrie
@lmpkio@Leslie Hall

Carrie nodded to Roselia, and glanced back to the files she had, pondering them a moment, and knowing she should use the day to catch up on it all, but finding she didn't particularly want to. "That's all for now. Go enjoy the day. It might be one of the last good days we have for a while"

Penny
@Zran

Penny gave a shrug, "There are ways of testing, although the masters would be a better bet for that. As for joining, we can go down and sort that out now" Penny said, the weather didn't bother her, her own abilities enabling her to stay warm, but why waste energy?

She opened the door to head down stairs, waiting for Aishling to go through, she gave a soft sigh, "I'm perhaps not the best person to be welcoming you right, but I shouldn't be projecting on you. I'm sorry."

gabriel
@lugubrious

"Hospitality? Pray tell, when did you welcome me, Sanders? Or do you think because you have welcomed Gabriel, although limited at times, that that is enough for his spirits? You know nothing of spirits, it seems, sadly that's a common thing among those that are not celestial wizards. I don't like being challenged. I have been trapped in the spirit realm for 100 years, I'll welcome some...activity. I'm not one of your soldiers to order about, so do not treat me as such." The spirit spoke smoothly, but it was clear there was some anger there,'and Gabriel tried to rein in his own.

He didn't like that Sanders would speak like that to one of his spirits, but he was angry that Loki would seek to cause even more instability for him. "can you just go see if you can find anything questionable? We are here for a reason" when it seemed the Loki might say something else, Gabriel said "please, before I get in trouble from the Sanders! I may not be able to close the gate, but we have a contract, and I want you to see what you can find, in case there is something bad going on here.peoples lives are more important then this, okay?"

Relieved when the spirit went off, Gabriel erected his own tent, in a smooth and practiced manor, putting his pack in it, he composed himself, before leaving the tent.

michael

Michael woke late, finding it pleasant to sleep in for once, before he got ready for the day. The prospect of a free day without the games in a big city was thrilling to Michael, especially since he actually had money. Heading down stairs, he looked about for Prince or Zephyr, wondering if they wanted to do anything, or if he'd be wondering the city by himself.

"I think it would be best if we came along. Even if you don't want Elyse to hear something, maybe that boy, your half-brother I believe, could keep her occupied. Not only that, if you plan on bringing your father back into your life, he's going to have to get used to me. So I say we do this together." Lucus said. "Beside, if we do, I can be there to support you if you need it."

Jackie

@Zarkun

Jackie frowned at Jack's response. It didn't help her at all and if anything, it left her confused and... scared? The emotion caught Jackie by surprise. She couldn't recall the last time she felt nervous and that only made it worse. But she quickly reigned her emotions in and began thinking the situation through.
"I'll need to buy her new headphones... but if she was attached to that particular pair... I don't know what to do." She said, her tone containing hints of frustration and confusion.

Amelia Averyonna

@Caits

Amelia blushed at the comment and mumbled her thanks while waiting for a menu so she could find out what she would want to order. Or maybe her parents had something planned and were going to get something special.

@Lugubrious
ENMA

Enma hadn't chatted or made merry mirth with his guild. In fact, he was unusually quiet from his rowdy, vulgar self. This place was just too miserable for him to have any form of joy. How could he be happy when there were people so well off and abandon the rest of their own kind for the sake of wealth and comfort? What kind of sick monster could be capable of something like this? So this is what Nolan was talking about when they first met...Human nature is truly monstrous indeed. Is this what the human world is like beyond the facade of the pleasant towns and the majesty of Crocus? Just an ashen barren land?

At some point the guild had reached a field of yellow grass after walking through the rickety wooden buildings that he wouldn't wish his own worst enemy to live in. It had rested underneath a bluff and acted as their base of operations at the meantime. It was the only thing that it would be good for; the soil was no good for farming. It had been tilled and tilled until there was nothing else the land could give. The soil was loose with bits of it being blown away in a breeze. What kind of hell is this town? If the supposed disease wasn't killing them then it was the living conditions that would. They probably had import basic goods in order to live, but Enma knew that their prices were inflated or heavily taxed.

Enma had set up his own tent at some point and after making sure that his belongings were safe and secure, he had exited it and awaited for Sander's orders.

@Caits
FERRIS

"Jess, I would hope that you would leave your own boyfriend out of your articles. Unless you want to brag about how your boyfriend is a sexy model then write away." Ferris said with a smirk, pulling her in closer. He rested his head on her shoulder, having no intentions of letting go. It was just too comfy to be with her like this. No mages trying to kill each other, no commentary, no high strung games director, and no damn Sheldon. It was just them. "If it was any other person, I would deny that was mine." He sighed into her neck, his warm breath caressed her neck. "When you're a model you're just a product, not a person. It's a pain to put up a persona for the public just to sell some stupid cologne."

He frowned at her mentioning them meeting with her brother. Before she could say anything else, he rolled her onto her back and pinned her arms down against the bed. "The games, your brother, the world. They can all have you whenever they want, but right now I'm not in interested in sharing you now." Ferris flushed and removed himself from her. "Ugh, forget that I said that. Shit that was so corny."

He stood up and ran his fingers through his hair in an embarrassed manner. "I guess we ought to be going."

NOLAN

At some point, Nolan had arrived at a cafe called La Caffeine and was seated outside under the awning. Today was certainly colder than the days before though it wasn't enough to bother him and the rest of the patrons of the cafe. In a way, it was pleasant not being around any familiar faces and just be alone. It's not like he didn't hate his guild, it's just they can be a bit much for him. Lately things had been too much for him: family, friends, the games, the whole damn shebang. At some point it all had just run amok and now he needs to straighten out for the sake of his own sanity.

"Ugh, easier said than done..." Nolan groaned and rubbed his face with the palms of his hands, trying to snap himself out of it. Today was his break day and dammit he was going to enjoy whatever semblance of rest he could get even if it killed him!

"Um, sir? Can I take your order?" A waitress stood right next to him with her notepad out, keeping a nervous smile on her face from being around a man. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Nolan was nervous just being around her so it all evened out in some sick twisted way. Well, it actually turned into a never ending cycle of the waitress getting nervous of Nolan getting nervous of her and vice-versa. It was an orchestra of ums and other panicked noises slipping out of them.

Nolan swallowed hard and opened the menu, shaking absurdly as he tried to find something to order. "I, er, would like to order, um, um..." He felt the eyes of many focused on him; some confused, some amused, and some actually minded their own damn business. Specifically there was a table with two guys snickering at him with snide grins while not even bothering to hide their insults.

"Pffft, what kind of man is he? He's got a hot piece of tail right there and he's gonna piss himself." One of them chuckled. This was a man who was much bigger than Nolan in terms of muscle mass and in terms of height. He had slicked back blonde hair with two outrageous mutton chops protruding from his face with busy brows to match it. His nose looked like it would poke someone's eye out; it was long and had a very pointed tip. The man's jaw was very squared, unnaturally so.

His friend had a much more compact built and had a shiny dome where his hair should've been, which didn't help his very oval shaped head. He was wearing black sunglasses and shit eating grin as he was laughing along with his friend. "Poor kid, looks like he's gonna pass out at any moment!"

Nolan's hands were gripping the end of his table, trying to restrain himself from throwing it at those two jackasses, but they just weren't the effort. Still...beating this ever loving life out of them sounded more than tempting at the moment.

"Uh, sir? Can I please take your order?" The waitress still had that nervous smile though she was sweating a fountain. Yikes, she really was struggling to remain composed in front of a man.

The God Slayer cleared his throat and looked in the menu once again. "Uh, steak and eggs sound good...also the coffee sounds good..." He trailed off as he saw a couple sit down at the table across from his. They looked very happy together and for some odd reason, his mind ran back to Arial. Nolan groaned and said, "Scratch that, give me a coffee and a whole bottle of rum."

The waitress blinked at Nolan's decision and asked, "But isn't it a bit early to be drinking?"

"I know what I'm about."

Nidhogg

"Call me a pet again, dear Maxie, and I'll do more to Jane then just splatter a bit of blood on her. . . and I'll be sure to give you a front row seat." The smile and mirth completely vanished from the monstrous mage's face, his voice full of menance and hatred as he held himself back from ripping out the arrogant brat's throat with his teeth. The last thing he wanted was for their fight to end with either Georgie or the other guild's coming to end the fun early. Still, if the fact that the room was drowning in his killing intent was enough to show that the comment had seriously pissed him off, then the fact that he saw the need to punch a hole in a nearby wall certainly would.

As he cooled himself off, he listened to Manami and Shiro, chuckling a bit at their apologies and explanations, waving them off with a lazy gesture.

"No need, I honestly don't care much any more, to be truthful. The boy would've been fun to play with for a few days, but I could tell that he was weak and not worth my time the moment I laid my eyes on him. He was just in the way at the time, and I was getting tired of dealing with small fry." Cracking his neck, Nidhogg called all of the blood in the room towards himself, having it slip back into his body as he sat down in a chair, looking towards the two for a second as he tried to think of something to do, but let out a sigh as he realized his stunt yesterday would obviously but the city on high alert, especially since no one had been caught for it. "Uhhhh, I'm so bored! Manami-chan~! Shiro-chan~! What am I supposed to do all day?"

Nidhogg leaned back into his chair as far as he could, falling into a state of petulant child-ish on account of his boredom. He didn't feel like eating, couldn't do anything crazy, and didn't even have the games going on to hold his attention. This day o rest was becoming the most annoying thing he had to deal with this week, and he was considering just going over and stabbing Jane already just to give Maxie a reason to lose his cool and fight him. That was how bored he was getting.

@Lunarlors34

Argus Leandros

Argus noticed that Thor had stayed back as he walked away, and that she was pissed at him for some reason, but he simply ignored her. He was busy instead zeroing on the a pair of assholes that just happened to be perfect targets for him to vent on. It was two men who were busy bothering some woman, trying to convince her to come with them. HE didn't need his magic to know what they were planning and that they wouldn't take no for an answer, but i certainly would help him explain his decision to get involved on some moral high ground, though morality was a small part of why he was doing this. He walked up to the two, making his presence known with a cough, causing the two men to look at him with an annoyed glare.

"Hey freak, scram! Me and my friend here are busy trying to talk to this young lady and you're-"

Before he could say anything more, a fist was sudddenly planted in his face, sending him into the wall behind him with a slam. He twitched once before he fell to the ground, the shallow up and down of his chest the only way to now if he was alive or not. A dangerous glare towards the other man sent him off running, and then Argus walked off, not sparing the woman a second glass as he felt his anger barely abate. Picking off local thugs wasn't going to do anything to help him calm down. He needed to really lay into something or someone. As he walked around the town, having given up on the outside of town, he spotted that weird spirit that Gaberiel had summoned. He considered walking off for a bit, but then a thought entered his head. That spirit looks reasonably strong, and he seemed to be rather energetic. I wonder if he'd be willing to duke it out for a bit. If not, then hey, no harm in trying, but if he does . . . then I've found a great way to relieve this excess negativity.

"Hey," He said to his tag-along, who most likely didn't approve of his earlier actions and would likely report them, and what happened next, to Sanders. "I'm going to see if I can get a fight with Gaberiel's new spirit in order to get rid of this extra negative energy in a way that doesn't freak out the local populace and draw undue attention. If you could go tell Sanders so that he doesn't think I ran out on the guild when I don't come in for roll call or whatever soon."

As Argus smiled, a slightly twinge of pain stung his arm again, he grasped it, hissing in pain as it held onto him with the grip of a dragon's maw. Looking down, he saw the spot where that crystal woman had cut into his arm glowing ever so slightly, with the shadows of . . . something moving underneath the surface of his skin. It felt as if the limb was shifting it's entire structure in the most painful ways possible, and it would take a moment for it to die down. When he looked down at the offending limb, he'd see that it was the same as it had been before, and a quick look around showed him that no one else seemed to have seen the glow. This, more than anything else, squashed any doubts he had that he needed to get this negativity out of him. He was losing it in this town, and the longer he stayed here, the worse it would seem to get.

As he got up from the ground, he walked towards the spirit, intent on completely shutting out the other man as he moved with purpose towards Leo.

"Hey, mind entertaining me with a bit of a spar?"

Ariel - Phoenix Wing Hotel

@Silver Fox@CirusArvennicus@Vongola_Hasayo
While waiting for a response from the new member she turned back to Karn and Trinity. "So you're going to go look at a crashed airship right? I think it would be alright for me to come so long as I stay with you. Maybe I'll get the chance to burn off some of this magic and be able to remember things again." So far Edo-Karn's antics still were lost on her.

Finishing off her food she stood up from the table ready to go. It occurred to her that the others might not be ready yet though. "Oh, I'm ready when you are. Being cooped up inside doesn't suit me well." Her wings shifted slightly, indicating that she was restless to fly in the open air.

Even now Jessie could be struck by how cute Ferris was. Snuggled against him, Jessie couldn't imagine a better place to be. "you are sexy but the model thing doesn't make you such" she said easily, making sure the comic was out of the way. "you don't have to hide that you like this stuff. If you don't like modeling, why do you do it?" she wondered, turning her head slightly to kiss his cheek.

There was something...thrilling about being told you didn't want to be shared. "If this wasn't the first time in seeing my brother in two years, I'd say stuff it, and we could just stay here all day." she said, giving a soft sigh, "but a few hours, and then you don't have to share" she smiled almost wickedly, "I like corny. you're so adorable, you know that?" rising almost reluctantly, and took his hand.

She led the way out, and to the restaurant her brother had told her to meet him at, a short walk away. The day was nice despite the chill in the air, and even then she couldn't imagine anywhere else she would want to me, walking with the guy she liked. It was just so...nice.

She spied Drew just arriving, and frowned slightly at the troubled expression on his face, but when he saw her he grinned that easy Grin she remembered, and it was gone. Drew easily moved through the crowd towards them, and Jessie waved.

Master Jamie, Jarvis and Sam
@joshua Tamashii

The old woman gave Amelia a smile, and said "we don't need to be shy or embarrassed about what makes us beautiful, or about what has been done to us. You're here, child, and that's all that matters. I bet you are stronger then you know! Look at your parents! Proof that you can come out of hard times and be amazing! Just like you are. Now! Menus!" She handed out menus that seemed to appear out of thin air.

Sam eagerly took a menu, settling beside Amelia, looking over the menu and frowning. While Sam could read, it was clearly something she hadn't practiced since her return.

Jarvis leaned over, pointing to each item, he read them out for her, letting Sam pronounce them after, soon Sam eagerly read the words herself.

"it's nice being away from the crowds for a bit" Jamie said, glancing through the menu quickly

@Raijinslayer

The spirit looked up at Argus's approach, studying the Mage, he appeared to contemplate the offer for a spar. "I thought you weren't meant to draw attention" Loki said, glancing about, the spirit so far hasn't seen anything out of the ordinary, but that didn't mean it wasn't there.

"I don't think we should fight in town, but we can find somewhere else"

Argus Leandros

"To answer both of your statements, we'll take it out of the town, of course. Doesn't bother the town folk and I can stop losing my mind in this damn town. There's something up hear, as no place should feel this miserable, but I'd rather be in a better mood before I try to figure it out."

With that being said, Argus had the spirit follow him out of town, going a ways out until he found a rather spacious looking clearing some distance from the town, though not too far that it'd be an annoyingly long trek back. Now that he was here, he began a few stretched, warming himself up before taking a stance, holding his blade at the ready, which was still crackling with the energy contained within.

"Whenever you're ready, you can start. Oh, and the name's Argus by the way." His frustration and anger form before were gone, the negative energy being focused into his desire to fight, causing a rather savage smile to form on his face as he waited with a observant eye for his opponent to make a move.

Isla

Ashlyn was surprised Isla was taken hostage by the Frenzy Plant guild. She pouted slightly and dropped her head down looking slightly away from Ash. She softly talked while being a tad red from having to say it.

"Nothing to serious if you ask me..."

Ash replied back which gave Isla a little bit more info about the girl. So she was taking people or only bad people hostage back in her old days. Even if she liked it or not she might not be accepted into this guild if they knew about it. Well knowing Frenzy Plant they would probably do it anyway since Isla is here now too. Her face clearly showed that this didn't help much either. Ash still didn't seemed bothered by the fact Isla did these things in the past. She felt a little bit happy about that. It was already a few days ago that she got to talk normally to someone without being made fun off or looked down upon

Out of nowhere she felt a hand go over her head. Her face reddened as her face shot up towards Ash. She was gonna scold her for touching her hair but as soon as she opened her mouth decided not too since she was actually being nice to her. She pointed her eyes at the ground again in embarrassment. It did feel somewhat nice though.

"Uwaa..."

Well there went the first impression of her.

"What were you doing before you came here... Like some sort of bounty hunter I presume from what you just said."

She didn't look up but looked more down instead. Her hands shifting slowly while her shoulders tensed up slightly.

Rose Yashia

@Joshua Tamashii

" It's up to you if you wish to come along and all."said rose before she covered elyse's ears with her hands "I don't want her to know I killed one of her grandmothers."she said before uncovering her ears "Anyways let's get going, I prefer not to be late so I can get this awkward conciliation out of the way."

Amaya VanIsisandCecilia

@Zarkun

Cecila nodded in understanding before she flew back to amaya's side following the two slayers.

Amaya followed silently. She was really nervous having a friendly spar with a fellow slayer as she hoped she wouldn't make a complete fool of their shared magic type.

"Parks are pretty and I am surprised people arnt crowding the parks with no games today."she commented taking off her jacket and shoes stretching her legs and arms "I hope I don't make a fool of myself"she whispered to herself. Her blue eyes examined hunter as the air around them began to grow colder by the second as small light snow flakes form from the moister around them as she took in a deep breath "Ice dragon's roar" she declared sending a blizzard like blast at hunter while she followed quickly after it before dashing to the left tossing a punch from her ice covered fist.

Karn/Edo-Karn || Crocus || Phoenix Wing Hotel

@CirusArvennicus@t2wave@Vongola_Hasayo

Edo-Karn nodded slightly, stretching her arms before standing up, patting the bare flat chest of this male overly feminine body. "Yeah, we thought it be interesting. And I want to examine this world's airships anyway. Be interesting to see how mechanical they are. But first, probably going to shop a little for proper clothes. Instead of all the frilly dresses your Karn has." she said, nonchalantly brushing her fingers against the wings of Ariel. Feeling the soft material before glancing to the man who had come over.

"Later dude." She grinned before heading outside with a soft hum.

Hunter Jorgenson|Park in Crocus

Hunter shrugged as he took a ready stance, waiting. "Lots of parks in the city. Figure the ones closer to the guilds are probably empty so teams can practice." He noted the temperature dropping around them and grinned. He could feel her getting ready to attack and he knew that it would be a good match. Ice against jade would probe to be an interesting match up for sure, and one that neither side could clearly win. And then it came, a roar from his fellow slayer that Hunter dodged with a roll to the right, subsequently dodging the ice covered fist that came from the right. Turning, he countered with an extendable sword arm towards Amaya before closing in with a Jade covered Steel Fist attack.

Jane Addeson|Phoenix Wing Hotel

Jane had been about to leave the hotel in defeat, as it seemed everyone had already made some kind of plan to go somewhere, when someone called out to her to get her attention. "You, you! Quickly come here! I have something to discuss!" Stopping, Jane turned to see who was calling her name and found herself faced with a young woman dressed in much more traditional attire than the energy blade mage was comfortable wearing herself. She was, in classic Jane fashion, about to tell the woman to bugger off when she spotted the Phoenix Wing guild mark her face lit up. Finally! Someone without somewhere else to be and something else to do!

Jane gave her her full attention and a smile. "Hi, I'm Jane. What exactly is your issue and how can I help?"

James Hunt|Streets of Crocus

James chuckled as he lead them down a street leading away from the two slayers. "Well, considering the number of bruises you typically walk away from our sessions with, I thought it might be prudent. Now then, how mobile to you wish to be?" James knew a fair amount about armor and had chosen the magical armor he now wore for it's amazing protection and good range of movement, a feature of this plate armor design that many overlooked simply because it wasn't necessarily intimidating for it.

Damian Gerard|City of Belka

Damian noted the burnt building nearby and frowned. That would have belonged to the now burnt to ashes and dead pyromancer. But something about the story the monk had given them didn't feel right. Why would a pyromancer just suddenly loose control like that? Especially since they were pretty well known for not being harmed by fire magic like normal people or non-fire using mages were. Turning away from the site, his bedroll unrolled near the edge of the camp where he wasn't intruding in case he had to stay the night, he approached Sanders. "I'm heading up to investigate those ruins. Something about a pyromancer and his home suddenly turning to ashes doesn't feel right, if you catch my drift. Anyone you care to have accompany me so it's not conspicuous?"

Jack Goran|Laughing Dragon Hotel

"A new pair of headphones would be a good place to start, perhaps with a selection of songs different from the tone she's used to. I can help you find them if you'd like. I have some free time before a meeting I have to attend."

Joshua walked through town, trying to find Amaya. Seriously, he had been gone for five minutes and the girl had somehow wondered off to the gods know where... was he still allowed to worship those things? Pushing the thought out of his head, he continued walking for a bit, asking people if they had seen Amaya, often having to describe what she looked like, as well as Cecilia, as he was sure a flying cat was a dead give away. Somehow, it still took longer then expected, but he eventually found his way to the park that Hunter and Amaya were having their fight in. Glancing around at the scene, he looked at Cecelia.
"Hey, Cec, what's going on here? Should I step in?" He called over to the Exceed.

Amelia Averyonna

@Caits

"They're... not my parents... like you think." Amelia said quiet as the old woman left. She watched Jamie helped Sam with the menu, teacher her how to read. It brought back memories of when Ellis taught her how to read after her rescue. The memories brought a few tears to her eyes but she quickly wiped them away before looking over at her mother as she mentioned it being nice to be away from the crowd. "It is nice to be away from everyone. Nice to just be... family."

Jackie

@Zarkun

"But what kind should I get? Should I get them with music or without? I know nothing about this girl. She just... came into this world... it... it makes me nervous." Jackie said, the uncertainty obvious by the tone of her voice.

Lucus Griffonbane

@Roseletta

"I'm going Rose. I'm not losing you again. And I'm not about to lose my daughter." Lucus said, the conviction in his voice obvious. Lucus wasn't usually one to be serious but for once he had a dead serious look in her eye. It was obvious that he was definitely not going to move on this issue

"Why lose me?" Elyse asked, looking up at her parents.

Thankfully, a diamond fish came swimming by, catching her attention before swimming away. Krystal was nearby and gave Rose and Lucus a smile before kneeling down next to the little girl, entertaining her with the fish.

@Joshua Tamashii

"you know the only way you would lose us other than death is if you became that again" she said " there is no way I would ever leave the guild life and I don't know if I would ever leave the wing its the only family she knows before you were able to be in her life but let's get going if you wish to join me" she added nodding back to krystal

Amaya VanIsisandCecilia

@Zarkun

Cecilia was sitting on a bench near by watching before she heard a familiar voice as she looked over at Joshua listening to his question " No mother hen, they are two dragonslayers sparring and so far they haven't caused any property damage." said the exceed keeping to Amaya's nickname for Joshua. She could call him joshy but then that would remind her of sushi and just make her hungry.

Amaya twisted barely dodging the sword arm. She ducked under the punch as she went for a sweeping kick followed with a few quick jabs aimed for his torso. She kept close watch of the snow around and the various ice shards breaking from her attacks that started to collect on her skin. so far so good, mother was right

FERRIS

Well at least it was in a public space. That way, Ferris would be probably safe from Drew probing him with embarrassing questions...or facing a burning wrath of an older brother. Ugh, why did they have to do this today? All he wanted to do was just relax and not have to bother with needing to be concerned about anything. Seems like he was screwed in that department. Perhaps something happened which required the council's attention and Drew would have to leave before they could even arrive? Please let that be the case, oh god please.

Nope! While he and Jess made their way through the autumn streets of Crocus, they arrived outside a restaurant and guess who was there? Her older brother that's who! While Drew had an easy going grin, Ferris spirit had only sunk deep, deep down. Could anyone blame him? Drew was a damn council member, one of the most powerful people in the damn world! It would be safe to say that if Ferris screwed up then there was certainly hell to pay.

Once Drew had finally made his way over to them, Ferris cleared his throat and was trying his best to act natural, which didn't help considering he was as tense as a plank of wood. What should he do? What should he say? Well, he should greet him, but how? He can't simply say 'wassup' or 'how's it hanging' to a council member! That's the equivalent to hanging a necklace of steaks around his neck and jump into a zoo's lion pen!

NOLAN

Nolan leaned back in his seat and sipped a cup of coffee blacker than his point of view on life mixed with rum. Why waste time with a Bloody Mary when he could simply just have the strong stuff already? It was more effective. Yeah, this what he needed right now; some god damn alone time with a strong drink and hopefully some steak and eggs. Speaking of which, when was his breakfast going to arrive? It's been a good half an hour already so when was it going to arrive? His thoughts were broken with the clatter and shatter of plates hitting cobblestone floor. Nolan quickly turned around and saw that the waitress who was serving him previously and the two rude bastards from before.

"Ya know, when a guy tries to get your attention, you should give him your damn time." The one with the long nose said with a snide grin, his hand gripped firmly on her skirt. There was no intention that he was going to let go anytime soon. The people in the restaurant were all looking at them with disgust, but they dared not to do anything. They knew who they were; they were high ranking members of the Rune Knights. No one there had the power to stop them and this wasn't the first time that this has happened here. This waitress particularly was a prime target by the two of them. At first the owner had tried to report them, but nothing had came from it. What results could he had been expecting when the Rune Knights were still corrupt? There were those that were terrified of being harassed by them if they were to serve as witnesses so what could anyone do?

The waitress had an oddly deadpanned nervousness as she held her skirt tightly. "Please, leave me alone." She forced out those words from her tight throat.

The bald one smirked at her and stood up, looming over her and chuckling menacingly. "You want us to leave you alone? Guess who's been getting braver?" Like the barbaric son of a bitch he was, he shoved her against a table with both hands, breaking the table with loud cracks and splinters. "Are you fucking stupid or something?"

Slowly the waitress stood up, legs buckling from the pain. There was no way she could say anything; the pain made her want to cry and if she tried to say anything she would burst into tears. That's what these bastards wanted. They just wanted to see her break, but she wasn't going to give them the satisfaction. She had more guts than most of the patrons in the cafe.

"Acting tough now are we? Well how about we get you back down on your knees and-" The man with the long nose was cut off by the sound of a chair scraping against the floor. Nolan had stood up, glaring at them with a calm intensity that he was well known for. He rolled up his sleeves as he walked over to them, revealing his black Phoenix Wing guild mark on his shoulder. "Oh you have something to say to us kid?"

Nolan placed his hands in his hoodie's pockets and sighed tiredly, "You're pushing your luck. I'd butcher you both where you stand, but it would add to the mess you've made. Leave, now." The God Slayer sipped his coffee in the shocked silence of the cafe. Did this kid know who exactly he was dealing with or was he just stupid? It was way too dangerous for him to make death threats and commands to these particular Rune Knights!

"Did you decide to grow a pair and play hero, you damn brat? You're gonna get blood on your clothes if you don't split. Never mess with the Rune Knights." The long nosed man was not amused by Nolan's antics. He was going to beat Nolan senseless if he didn't piss off.

Nolan arched his brow and chuckled with a rare snarky smirk on his face. "Play hero? Didn't your mothers ever tell you not to mess with bad guys like me? You're gonna end up dead. Nolan received a hard punch from the long nosed Rune Knight, a punch that would typically put an ordinary man under the table...except he didn't move an inch. Not even a scratch was left on his forehead. "Are you done?" Before the two Rune Knights could do anything, they were sent flying across from the outdoor cafe by an attack they could hardly perceive. Really, it was actually just a regular punch for the two of them.

Nolan sauntered from under the cafe's awning and cracked his neck. "You said you guys were Rune Knights right? Wow, talk about scraping below the barrel if you two shits got in." He smirked at the two Rune Knights who were still shocked that they were sent flying by Nolan.

"Eat shit!" The bald one summoned a mini-gun and had opened fire at Nolan, the patrons of the restaurant had ducked down to avoid the crossfire. Nolan on the other hand dashed to side at high speeds, avoiding the magic bullets flying at him. He continued running as the bullets continued flying at him, until Nolan had leaped up against a pillar holding up a building and leaped from it. He moved like a dart towards the gunner though the other knight had pushed him out of the way and pulled out a huge mace, using the handle to block an incoming stomp from Nolan. The clash created a burst of air that pushed back both Rune Knights and Nolan flipped in the air back onto his feet.

Growling in frustration, the knight slammed the mace against the ground and sent spikes of stone shooting from the ground straight towards Nolan. Quickly and without hesitation, Nolan had punched and kicked the stone into pieces with ease. "Just die already!" He charged straight toward's Nolan and swung his mace down to his head though Nolan had grabbed onto the mace's hand as it came down to his head. "Wha-?"

In this split second, every man in the world may had felt a sympathetic pain within their groin; Nolan had rammed his right knee straight into this guy's groin with full force. The force of the attack had caused the man to shake and cause his eyes to roll back to his head. He fell to his knees and with shaky hands, he pulled his pants open to check on his nether regions and...his huevos were gone.

"Huh, hard boiled eggs can be scrambled. Who knew?" Talk about a bad time to develop a sense of humor.

The Rune Knight with the mini-gun stood there, knees knocking as he stared at Nolan. This was bad. This was really bad. This guy was way above their league! Just how much worse could it get?

The civilians who were watching this fight were wondering who this young man was, until someone had recognized him and his guild mark. There was an explosion of murmurs from the people watching the fight. "Hey he's that mage from Phoenix Wing, Nolan Waltz!" "What's he doing here?" "Do you think I can get his autograph?" "Oh my god he's even more handsome in person!"

It was at this point that the gunner Ruin Knight had realized that he had truly fucked up. Not only did they pick a fight with the wrong opponent, they picked a fight with a monster.

"Huh, looks like I was more famous than I thought." Nolan had scratched the back of his head, slightly annoyed that people recognized him. It looked like he wasn't going to be able to hang low from the public eye for awhile.

The celestial spirit’s pulling at strings to be offended and find ammunition to use against him did not surprise Sanders at all. No creature given that sort of power and loftiness over humans would ever consent to being wrong. Only something without a brain could have actually not understood that the hospitality to which Frenzy Plant’s general referred was that of the people of Belka, not the soldiers of Frenzy Plant, so naturally Leo was misinterpreting on purpose. His mention of ‘action’ drew a raised eye from Sanders. Did the egotistical creature truly think that if he challenged a warrior guild, he would not be annihilated in mere moments? One of the S-rank soldiers alone would be equal to or greater than him in power, Sanders judged; if he attempted to take on an entire guild at once, perhaps imagining that a group of over thirty might not attack simultaneously in a display of foolish sportsmanship, then it would be returned to the spirit world far sooner than it thought.

Silently the General watched Leo go, and a look from him caused the soldiers who were watching to disperse about their duties. For a few moments while Gabriel set up his temporary habitation, he considered strategies to go about the guild’s inquest at Belka. When Gabriel emerged, however, Sanders stood before him. ”Your spirit makes a good point. Since he’s not a part of my army, I have no official authority over him. Of course, the authority brought on by age, experience, and sensibility would mean nothing to an inhuman being. As such, you, private, are one-hundred percent responsible for his actions. Insubordination is not tolerated in this guild. If your spirit steps out of line, you will bear every consequence. This includes punishment up to dishonorable discharge. By now you know that Frenzy Plant is a guild where authority and discipline are absolute; that is the path you have chosen by joining us. Do I make myself clear, private?” The old man’s voice held steady, without malice, but with assured intent.

Sanders remained with him only long enough to hear an affirmative reply. Any sort of excuses, explanations, or accusations would brook not so much as acknowledgment as the General then went to see to what came next. While the majority of the soldiers awaited his commands, the guest Damian took the initiative. ”You have anticipated my plan of action, Mr. Gerard. I’ll trust you not to appear suspicious, and to that end, please take Lieutenants Eliza and Rensa with you. They are both quick-witted and quick on their feet. After taking a look at the cinders, please proceed to the graveyard at the other end of the town and take a look at Willard’s grave.” He glanced upward, and found the sky on the verge of gray. Another color filtered through the darkened heavens, however: a sickly sort of yellow. Such phenomena typically heralded twisters. ”We might be in for a storm.”

He turned to the assemblage of soldiers nearby. Crossing his arms, Sanders told them, ”There’s been a change of plan. I wanted to wait for several hours before attempting anything, but I do not like this coming wind. Ymir, Fortinbras, Riven: please go to the schoolhouse where the nobleman, Evgeny, is purported to be. Inquire about recent events in Belka. Enma, Mercury, and Gabriel, head to the market under the pretense of buying food. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious, and stick together. Thor, Saxum, and Johnson, I ask discretion of you. Peruse the outskirts of the town, where the buildings are sparse and the trees plentiful. Tsubano and Graham, leave town and find Argus and Kilo immediately. Frenzy Plant’s demon is in great danger if his power remains unchecked, and he may invite greater danger by releasing it even outside the city. Brand him with a Seal of Denial and return with him to this spot. Brass and Rewman, take Isla with you as you seek out the cleric in his church near the graveyard. We can leave no option unexplored. Let’s move, soldiers.”

”Yes, sir!”
