I'm not opposed to characters butting heads every now and then, but characters that seem like most interactions between them and the rest of the cast would result in a fight are a bit more problematic.

Exactly. Meaningless fights like those don't really add much to the rp.

Also, where and how would our characters be starting? Do we have our chars suddenly pop in somewhere as the start?

Okay.

Wizards in the Potterverse don't have their own individual sets of abilities. They are all technically capable of the same spells, if they put in the effort and skill to learn them. So, when playing Moody, I'll draw on the types of magic generally seen by accomplished adult wizards.

An exact spell list isn't viable here, as the series showed that there were innumerable variations on some general purpose spell types (transfiguring a raven into a goblet vs dove into wine glass, for example). In place of that, let me provide a general overview of the subjects taught at Hogwarts.

Transfiguration: Mostly of relatively simple objects, no complex machines.
Potions: Largely poisons, antidotes, health potions and debuffs.
Charms: Miscellaneous magics, including: levitating and moving objects, making light, fire, etc, and repairing and altering objects.
Herbology: Identifying, growing and uses of various magical plants and fungi.
Apparition: Personal teleportation.
Defence Against the Dark Arts: Dealing with dark creatures, to shielding and offensive magic including disarming, binding, stunning, and various wacky jinxes.
Care of Magical Creatures: Exactly what is says on the tin.

Is that OK?

Even if a list of EVERY spell he knows is impractical (which I can understand), some highlights would be nice. I mean, I assume there are at least a few spells we could expect to see with greater frequency throughout the RP. I'm asking as someone who stopped reading/watching the series before he made any proper appearances.

In regards to the whole 'pointless fighting' thing, I mean... To be fair, both Mokou and Kaguya are in this RP. Pointless fights between these two should be expected, at the very least. Probably more.

That aside, Jhin and Kled/Skaarl are definitely not fit for this sort of setting. One (Jhin) is a serial killer that wants to kill things to make them beautiful, which means he'd be gunning for the PCs just as much as he would the enemies at hand, if any. He also hates Shen and Zed for robbing him of another 'work of art', which shows his fixation upon holding grudges. Oops, had to kill a guy he wanted to kill because of extenuating circumstances? Hitlist. Not particularly someone I'd want on the list of PCs, to be honest.

Kled is just batshit fucking crazy, though. Dude raves about mind weasels and invisible badgers, declares himself to have multiple titles in the Noxian military, and constantly talks about how he'll kill his team later (he's just killing the enemy team first). It's not even a matter of ham; dude will try to murder everything he sees, regardless of circumstance. Also, he chugs mushroom juice, which he even says gives him hallucinations and paranoia. Someone with that much instability is definitely not beneficial to an RP and would likely be put down the second he tries fo stab a 'tresspasser'. Which, granted, would take... A few minutes, tops? Probably less?

I read League lore. I listen to the VOs. All this is rooted in what Riot has put out. While they may be fun to play, they do not fot the scene this RP is trying to set... In my eyes, at least.

  • Name: Mega Man/Rock
  • Age: Physically and mentally 10
  • Appearance: THE SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT, MEGA MAAAAAAAN
  • World of Origin: Mega Man (Archie Comics)
  • Powers/Equipment:

    • Super Strength and Toughness: Mega’s made out of tough stuff! Robots can give him quite a licking, but ordinary humans are more than likely to just bruise their knuckles punching him. On the flipside, Mega Man is more than capable of smashing straight through a wall if he tried hard enough.
    • Mega Buster: A simple arm cannon that can equip to both arms. It utilizes the power of the sun to fire blasts of energy. Mega can equip two at once... But it comes with a dangerous risk of critically overloading his systems, potentially wiping himself out.
    • Variable Weapons System: A copy chip installed in Mega Man allows him to mimic other robots’ primary ability if he can get his hands on them. It’s not always a straight copy though, and unlike his Mega Buster he can only use them for a limited amount of uses. It’ll... maybe work on robots not from his universe. Possibly. Probably not on flesh and blood beings.
    • Slide: A sliding mechanic installed in Mega Man’s legs. It lets him easily zip a short distance on the ground for quick mobility.
    • Rush: Mega Man’s trusty robot dog. He may literally be a robot dog, but he’s also programmed to be Mega Man’s field support. Possesses a nifty spring form (Rush Coil), jet form (Rush Jet), submarine form (Rush Marine), and small spacecraft form (Rush Space). He’s not as tough as Mega Man, but he’s helpful all the same.
  • Brief Backstory: For years, Rock was just a simple son and lab assistant robot to the renowned robotics expert Dr. Thomas Light. This all changed when Light's vain and jealous colleague, Dr. Albert Wily, stole and reprogrammed advanced industrial robots, Robot Masters, into tools of warfare. As they were far too advanced to face against the military, all hope was lost... Until Rock volunteered to become a fighting machine just like them. In doing so, he became Mega Man and thwarted Wily's plans time and again, earning allies, enemies, and a battle-weary heart. Just as the world finally seemed to find peace, Mega Man was ready to hang up his buster... only to be met with cries for help from another dimension. Being no stranger to other worlds or people in need, he suited up one more time to help.
  • Personality: Rock was programmed to be a child-like son who would inherit Dr. Light's values of right and wrong. In doing so, he became a humble, kind, and courageous, if a little reckless, robot with a strong sense of justice. Despite volunteering to become a combat robot, however, he’s pacifistic at heart. He abhors violence and always tries communicating with his enemies, only engaging them in battle when it stops being an option. He’s rarely one to get on the aggressive, but the moment his family and friends are put in danger is when he really cuts loose.
  • Other: Despite how remarkably human he appears, Rock does not have free will. Although he can think and make decisions for himself, he is still Three-Law compliant. He can’t even risk hurting a human unless he or other people are actively being put at risk. Good thing aliens aren't human!

I wouldnt call the fights between Mokou and Kaguya meaningless. They have some very bad blood between them after all. ^^;

Also, does Moody know Crucio and Avada Kedavra? I feel like he would, considering what he is.

Some highlights to give a general idea of Moody's Magical Abilities:

Accio - Summons objects to hand
Alohomora - Unlocks locks
Aparecium - Reveals hidden things and people
Collovaria - Changes the colour of objects
Engorgio - Enlarges objects
Episkey - Heals minor to moderate injuries, up to broken bones
Expelliarmus - Disarms enemies by flinging the weapon away
Incarcerous - Binds up a target with ropes
Incendio - Sets an object on fire
Lumos - emits a beam of light from the wand
Petrificus Totalus - Causes one's body to become stiff and rigid
Protego - creates a magical barrier that repells minor to moderate attacks
Reducio - Shrinks objects
Reparo - repairs non-magical objects
Rictumsempra - tickling jinx
Stupefy - Stuns a target
Wingardium leviosa - levitates objects

Also, does Moody know Crucio and Avada Kedavra? I feel like he would, considering what he is.


Technically yes, he would know the killing and torture curses. However, since these are both illegal to use on humans and carry a life sentence, a wizard cop won't be using them.

  • Befriend Madoka Magica's best girl Kyouko-tan. @VitaVitaAR
  • Befriend Mokou and Kaguya, because you just had to drop in two of my top favorite Touhou characters. @PKMNB0Y@Raineh Daze
  • Have Kirby as a lap pet and allow it to eat one of the Blaster Bits every once in a while... for fun. @Holy Soldier
  • Be a reasonable authority figure along with Alastor and Sam, befriending them if they fail to meet her expectations. @DFTBA@GreenGoat
  • Befriend the ever loving crap of anyone who seems like they'll be bad people.
  • Befriend another highly advanced interdimensional threat, blasting another mothership or two into oblivion.
  • Spread love and friendship to another dimension that may or not be part of the TSAB.


As you all can see, there'll be no meaningless fights between PCs on this RP, along as Nanoha is there. After, she made a nearly 20 years long military carrier from pacifying and mentoring troublesome youths. You can count on your #01 magic instructor to teach you how to keep your heads cool, or be blasted until you behave~~ <3!

Anyway, after declaring a sum of my initial expectations for this RP, I have a suggestion to you, @Tachi, in regards to interdimensional travelers (such as Nanoha herself), which I will use on my first IC post to explain why she doesn't call down reinforcements from the TSAB. I was going to say that some unknown jamming was cutting her communications and ability to cast an interdimentsional travel spell. Mainly because doesn't know were she is, so she can't calculate travel coordinates, plus jamming/interference (a side effect of the exploding portal that brought them here?) screwing it all, makes for a bad idea to try to go back home by brute force.

Because we all know that tele-fraging ruins anyone's day.

I think it's become more force of habit than anything else. Any actual vengeance is long satisfied.

I'm sorry if this seems rushed. It was, but I wanted to get it up before heading off to work. So let me know if there's any problems and I'll fix them when I get back.

Brief Backstory: Abigail was born to a wealthy family of merchants who made a lot of money trading devil fruits. Well the men did anyways. The women were expected to serve traditional roles. Abbigail didn't like that. So one day, upon overhearing her father's plans on marrying her off to someone twice her age in a few weeks. That didn't set well with her so that night she snuck into her father's office, stole the fruit along with the family sword and stole away on one of her dad's caravans to find a life on the high sees.

Personality: Abigail is extremely stubborn, and hates when people tell her what she can or cannot do. Unless she's close to someone she comes off as cold or aloof, but when she truly cares she'll put herself in harm's way to protect others at a moment's notice. Due to a sheltered upbringing she has trouble relating to others, and opening up has always been a problem. Also thanks to her younger days she's relatively ignorant of the world and wants to see everything that was denied to her when was younger. She's crazy over women with long raven wing hair, and has no idea how to talk with them.

@TachiI thought Kirby was something different and made for a cute and powerful weapon/addition to aid the team. I can always make a second character. I'm already brainstorming a second character who is a Mech user. He'll be an OC though.

Edit: Also Smash Bros gives the same dimensions for his height, which isn't too bad. He's about most characters knee range.

Edit: I'll erase the cross-dimensional line on the warp star.
