Fear is what drives us to conceal who we really are...
I suppose I could humor you
|| NAME ||Nathan, Nate, Zane
|| GENDER ||Male
|| AGE ||15
|| GRADE ||Ninth
|| Sexuality ||Closeted, Homosexual
|| RELATIONSHIP STATUS ||Single
|| MORE IN-DEPTH APPEARANCE ||The average height of a new freshman, Nathan stands a respectable 5'6". Because his natural hair color is black and his rather unique silvery-blue eyes come from his father, people often assume he got a majority of his father's genes than his mothers. He has the body type of someone who isn't going to be as tall as 6', but instead is more muscular and sturdy looking due to being a semi-sporty individual. Because of that, he prefers much more casual clothing such as hoodies or sweats, and tends to wear the color blue and green. His favorite clothes come from Under Armor, as they not only look sporty but are nice to wear as well. He isn't attempting to impress anyone with how he looks, but instead show that he's rather calm and relaxed by himself. He isn't much for fashion anyway, so instead he sticks to the comfortable. His resting facial expression reflects this air of calmness and confidence. You couldn't tell, but his mother is Filipino, while his father is Caucasian.
Your true self is without form
|| PERSONALITY TRAITS ||Blunt, Athletic, Awkward around other guys, Observant, Determined
|| PERSONALITY ||Nathan is often the kid whom you see sitting in the corner, attempting to blend in and be ignored. He never goes out of his way to initiate a conversation, and most of the time is silent in and outside of class. He always looks focused on something because of this, and most people don't know what goes on inside the teenager's head. Nathan does this in an attempt to mask whom he sees himself as; a disgrace to his family. His greatest fear is revealing is homosexual nature, and so he attempts to cut off any sort of attempt at interaction in order to appear indifferent to the world, and to a further extent mask the part of him that he feels the most shame. He wants to feel accepted by those he cares for, and doesn't want something such as whom he likes to interfere with that, even if it does.
However, he isn't completely anti-social. While he does indeed avoid starting a conversation, he isn't afraid to answer most questions or talk to someone with a warm smile. While they may not be the most wordy of responses, he isn't afraid to respond. This extends to groups as well. He'll often be silent, observing other's ideas and in turn giving his own suggestions with what he feels is right. Some may consider him a leader because he'll take charge if no one else will, but he's more comfortable with simply following silently instead.
The easiest way to open him up is to talk about topics that he himself is interested in. From songs to video games, he'll gladly talk to people if they take an interest in what he likes. He's always smiling during such discussions, and it is one of the rare times where he'll be genuine with people he isn't close to. However, since it is the easiest way for him to consider you a friend, he'll begin to act more real with them, starting to add his own thoughts more frequently and carefully. When he gets a new friend, he becomes determined to make sure you stay his friend to the extent that he'd rather appease someone over causing conflict.
|| QUIRKS ||● He's never had to study before, seemingly being able to do well in class simply by doing the homework. He's often seen as the intellectual smart kid in school due to it.
● He's the worst when it comes to texting as he often has his phone on silent, placing it somewhere nearby and often forgetting it exists.
● He isn't afraid to nerd out to people he's become comfortable with.
● His rather confident appearance is pretty far from the truth. He doesn't really believe in himself, and even when he gets close to someone, he'd rather hide his pain with a smile than admit his sorrow.

|| FAMILY MEMBERS ||Father - Richard Alderson - High Ranking Air Force Member
Mother - Caroline Alderson - Starbucks Employee
Older Brother - Skyler Alderson - Attending College
Oldest Step Sister - Jennifer Alderson - Married and gone
Second Oldest Step Sister Jeanette Alderson - Attending College
|| HOUSE DESCRIPTION ||Their house isn't bad by any means. With several sources of income, and with their father making a decent amount of money, the Alderson's have a 2 story, 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom house. While the front yard is mainly filled with various flowers to accommodate his mother's garden, the backyard is quite extensive and open with a pool. The pool itself has a nice, well kept diving board that Nathaniel is often found in if he isn't inside. You could say the inside is somewhat modern, with mostly hardwood flooring excluding the living room and bedrooms. Nathan's own room has his own personal desktop, fit for running the most taxing of video games with ease. It's also like his recording studio, but that is a matter for a different time.
|| CAR DESCRIPTION ||Nathan unfortunately does not have a car.
It's... nothing special, I assure you...
|| BIOGRAPHY ||Nathaniel was born in Warner Robins, Georgia thanks to his father's military status. Back then, they didn't exactly make the most thanks to the fact that there was over 6 mouths to feed with low paying jobs. To make matters worse, his father often had to leave on TDY, or temporary duty yonder, meaning that for months on end he would be gone, leaving his mother to take care of 4 children while working. Luckily, they didn't live in Georgia for long, and as a 1 year old, the family relocated to Colorado due to his father being deployed there. Here it was better, the children got along and with a slight pay raise, the family could afford a more stable babysitter with the spare money they had. Even if his father was only around for what would amount to half the year each year, Nathan tried his best to understand why. While he had the comfort of his siblings, they themselves were happy...
That was, until Nathaniel's father was sent to Iraq for a year... And when he returned... he was never the same. He always seemed on edge from what Nathan can remember, and he had began to drink to seemingly wash away what he'd seen or done. While he was never abusive, this unnecessary tension caused the family to become dysfunctional, and the only way they could keep together was... if someone bared the pain. A lightning rod, if you will to the negativity. And, since Nathan was the youngest, his father seemingly selected him due to him seeing Nathan as weak. He scorned the child, often deciding everything that the kid would do while Nathan himself had no say in it. His siblings tried to help, but after so many years... Everyone got used to it... Even Nathan.
Nothing he ever did seemed good enough for his father, the one person he wanted to impress no matter how harsh he was treated. And after several more moves, Nathaniel has found himself in South Dakota. Luckily for him, it appears this'll be the final place they'll be moving for awhile as he's overheard his father discuss retirement if told to be redeployed once more, so maybe here he can finally begin to grasp his own future.
