Sadie is a small 5'3" girl with a tiny frame. She is fairly tan and her brown hair is almost always in pigtails. She has light blue eyes. Usually she can be seen wearing a long sleeved shirt under a jacket and a skirt over some black leggings. She also never wears heels. It's sneakers or nothing. Also there are a small number of scars on her arms which is why she ALWAYS wears long sleeve shirts. She also has a larger scar across her back.

Recently though it seems as if she is just depressed. She always shrugs it off and acts like nothing is wrong, but if things build up for to long she will breakdown and start crying even if what pushed her over the edge is something extremely small.

The Hill family live in a house just outside of the city limits. It's a somewhat smaller house with the normal floor and a basement. The home was originally a three bedroom, but the basement was turned into a room. The yard is well kept and there is a garden right in front of the house.

|| BIOGRAPHY ||
Sadie and her family lived in somewhat small quaint town when Sadie was growing up. Her life from birth to about 6 was fairly normal. She had many friends in Kindergarten, and first grade had started the same way until something happened.

You see Sadie wasn't born a Hill. She was adopted into the family at the age of six. She was orphaned when her family was killed during a kidnapping gone wrong. Her father and mother tried to stop two men who were attempting to kidnap Sadie and her younger brother. They were killed by the two men and Sadie and her brother had received serious injuries, but before the kidnappers could get away the cops showed up. The men were arrested and the two children were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately Sadie's brother died during treatment and when Sadie was stable weeks later they moved her to the children's wing. The long process of figuring out what to do with her began. She had no close or distant living relatives and they were most likely going to put her in the foster program. However, there was a teen who had happened to be volunteering at the hospital at the time and Sadie quickly became attached to him. The kid knew they were going to probably make her a foster child but he couldn't let it happened. So after days of constant begging his parents decided to undergo the adoption process. She doesn't remember much before the incident, but loves her new family all the same.

Sadie was overjoyed with the fact that someone had chosen to take her in. She had two new older brothers, Alex and Oliver, and a younger brother, Micky. Her new parents were Nathan and Taylor. Her new family was loving and caring and she didn't feel left out for one second. They always made sure she felt at home with them.

He is rarely caught smiling, with a frown seeming to be permanently etched into his face. He has a couple of scars, although only one is typically visible. It being an ugly straight gash scar across his left palm. He dresses cheaply, mostly wearing plain and inexpensive shirts and jeans. He can often be seen wearing a hoodie, once again plain and usually either gray or black in color. For footwear he alternates between a pair of black hiking boots and white sneakers.

Thomas is a bit of an unusual kid, or he at least feels like he is. He's naturally curious of other people and he's not lacking confidence exactly so you would think he would be more sociable, but nope. He has very few friends, mostly due to rarely ever talking and being stuck in his own head. He enjoys learning, but typically dislikes school, finding it extremely dull and depressing, especially when it comes to the subject of history. If one were to befriend Thomas they would find him a loyal, smart and humorous friend, although probably a little boring when it comes to hobbies. He's relatively introverted, much preferring a quiet hangout to a party or anything like it. Unfamiliar places make him feel on edge.

In England Thomas' residence would be known as working class. In the U.S he doesn't know what to call it, but it's pretty much the same deal. The poor but not quite the projects neighborhood basically. Small house, two bedrooms, small kitchen and a living room. The house itself tends to be very dimly lit, often times the curtains going unopened for a day or two. If the house were lit up you would see that it's just decorated enough to be considered a home. There are some photos on the walls, a painting of a couple of angels, one of European Jesus, a calendar and that's about it. In Thomas' room there's an old laptop, a small plasma TV, an Xbox One and a bookcase. Then of course there's the twin bed and a small chest of drawers.

|| BIOGRAPHY ||
Thomas had a bit of a fucked up childhood and it would take forever to describe every event that damaged him, his mother or his life in general. Basically though dad was a criminal. Not in the mafia, or a biker gang, or anything dramatic like that, just a petty criminal. Insurance fraud, drug dealing, burglary and the rare shop/store robbery. All of those things Thomas could have lived with if he wasn't also an alcoholic who spent almost all of his money at the pub and then would come home, shout the place into Oblivion and smash the place up in full view of his children. Suffice to say, he was a bit of a prick. So Thomas' childhood was one full of crime and craziness.

What's worse is he passed his life onto his children. Thomas was always a sweet boy, and his brother did what he could to keep him out of trouble, even if that mostly involved telling him to fuck off whilst he and his friends went to burgle a house, commit a street robbery or do whatever else. Either way, it mostly worked, Thomas only ever committed relatively minor crimes, at least compared to his father and brother. Graffiti, vandalism, shoplifting, the occasional street fight, but all of those bar the fighting were before he was twelve years of age, with a couple of notable exceptions.

His parents split finally when he was eight but unfortunately the damage was done. His mum had severe depression and anxiety which she coped with by smoking copious amounts of weed. There are far worse drugs for a parent to be dependent on but cannabis is still expensive, especially for the poor. The habit put strain on an already strained income and is still an issue in the U.S. 

Thomas doesn't feel like he's lived much of a life so far. All he has in his mind when he thinks of himself are fucked up memories and him slowly drifting through things such as school, which he goes from disliking to hating on a regular basis. Thankfully his life has been shook the hell up in recent years when his brother fell in love with a girl in the U.S, and with his brother being the only one with a job, his father estranged and in prison and both Thomas and his mother not having anything special in England to keep them there it really was no big thing to move. Aside from all the immigration of course. That sucked, and was very expensive.

Now, Thomas basically just wants to feel a little more alive. Perhaps make some good memories to help drown the old.

Thomas and Indie met in the library a couple of months ago, getting into a conversation about a certain author and carrying it on from there. Her current relationship along with other issues have prevented him from voicing his feelings thus far though and he's currently unsure if she still even considers him a friend. Thanks to Abbie's outgoing personality she was Thomas's first friend in Arrowsmith. He's not sure if he and Abbie could act any differently from each other, but he finds her attitude incredibly charming, if not damn inspiring. He sometimes feels on edge around her due to her unpredictability, but even that he finds fun most of the time. So far she's been very successful in making Thomas forget his cautious nature.

Sonny is 5’10 and weighs 168lb. Tall and lean, he is muscular and athletic but not in a way you could likely tell when he’s fully clothed. Due to his part Iranian blood he is slightly darker skinned than his cousin, basically a slight tan color. He has black hair which he keeps short, typically with a buzz cut and his eyes are a dark brown. He has a lot of scars, the visible ones being on his knuckles, face and neck. The ones on his knuckles are short and somewhat faded. He has one on his face that runs down across his left eyebrow and one on his neck that runs horizontally from the front right side of his neck to about 4” across. He dresses the same as his cousin, wearing hoodies and jeans mostly, with sneakers in various colors.

Kas is an incredibly angry young man, with only a couple of people being able to get through his walls of defense and aggression. He’s had experience after experience that has taught him that life is in no way fair and he’s taken it very hard. To most people he’ll just come across as an asshole, saying and doing whatever he wants with little to no thought for anything else. Others might consider him a bully, but he doesn’t consider himself one. Yeah he’ll flip out and probably get violent at the slightest provocation but he doesn’t go looking for people to be cruel to. If one were to somehow befriend him they’d have to have quite the thick skin, for his attitude won’t change much even among his friends. He’s an incredibly bad influence and will almost certainly end up getting himself expelled.

Sonny is the child of Maria’s sister. His father was in and out of his life until he was seven or eight but eventually was killed by a hot shot of heroin, an addiction he had been dealing with since he fled Iran. His mother raised him pretty well for a while but had various mental health issues and was drinking almost constantly by the time Sonny was ten. She died herself a couple of years later when she was out drunk as all hell one night and got into an altercation with a cop. She ended up getting tasered and well apparently even non-lethal weapons can kill. Kind of goes against the fucking point, huh? 

At that time Maria took custody of him. She had her own mental health and addiction issues but she wasn’t near the level of toxicity as Sonny’s parents had been. Unfortunately he was already too far gone. He was in a gang by the time he was eleven and spent the next several years selling drugs, holding weapons for older gangsters, getting into violent fights on the regular and even stabbing a couple of kids for stupid reasons.

At the age of fifteen he’s already been shot at, stabbed, been in half a dozen knife fights and sold thousands of pounds worth of drugs. The only reason he decided to willfully go to the U.S with his adoptive family is because he believed there’d be a far more profitable drugs trade there. This is a kid who is very, very far gone. As for what he wants in school? Nothing. It’ll be a miracle if he isn’t in prison or dead before the others graduate.

Thomas and Kas are very, very different people, but they've been through a lot together and have lived in the same houses going on three years now. They're like brothers, they don't always agree with each other and sometimes their relationship can be damn awkward due to disagreements, but they've both got love for the other. Kas himself secretly looks up to Thomas, there weren't many kids like him on their estate. He admires his apparent uniqueness.

By default they seem to be cold, but with a glint of what could be thought or intellect. When angry his eyes really express it, becoming shiny and locked onto whatever he's pissed at, refusing to look away until he's decided on his next action. It's as frightening as he'll get without doing anything. Sometimes they go softer and appear to be slightly lighter in color. This is usually when he's talking to someone he cares about or is empathizing with. He is rarely caught smiling, with a frown seeming to be permanently etched onto his face. He has a couple of scars, although only one is typically visible. It being an ugly straight gash scar across his left palm. He dresses cheaply, mostly wearing plain and inexpensive shirts and jeans. He can often be seen wearing a hoodie, once again plain and usually either gray or black in color. For footwear he alternates between a pair of black hiking boots and white sneakers.

Thomas is a bit of an unusual kid, or at least he feels like he is. He's naturally curious of other people and he's not lacking confidence exactly so you would think he would be more sociable, but nope. He has very few friends, mostly due to rarely talking unless spoken to first and being stuck in his own head a lot. He enjoys learning, but typically dislikes school, finding it extremely dull and depressing, especially when it comes to the subject of history. If one were to befriend Thomas they would find him a loyal, smart and humorous friend, although probably a little boring when it comes to hobbies. He's relatively introverted, much preferring a quiet hangout to a party or anything like it. Unfamiliar places make him feel on edge.

One of his defining personality traits is just how conflicted he is. He is intelligent, creative and loves to learn but he is also completely uninspired when it comes to school. He just doesn't see himself going to college or ending up in any sort of respectable position. This has lead to a situation where he doesn't quite fit in anywhere. The roadman he grew up with found him outwardly displaying all the normal traits, but occasionally he'd do or say something that made him stick out like a massive geek in a group full of hoods. On the other hand the geeks he's happened to spend time with over the years typically thought he was way too much of a street kid, and thus he was ostracized among them as well. This has lead to him believing he doesn't really fit into any one place, which he kind of likes, but it also feeds into his lack of vision for the future and his belief that he'll never really fit in anywhere.

Another major conflict in his life is his mentality when it comes to violence and crime. He's generally too smart, and often times too empathetic to act upon his feelings and thoughts, but at the same time his background has given him a frightening capacity for the use of violence. If one were to hear their friend say "Fuck it, let's bore (stab) him up and dust (leave).", they would likely think their friend was being ridiculous. Thomas wouldn't. As for his capacity for violence, that's still a massive issue too considering where he finds himself. In his old home someone insulting or threatening him would have warranted him switching and fucking them up, but logically he can't do that in small town America, he'd be locked up or expelled within a month. He knows this, but still there's that conflict in how his mind thinks he should react to threats or insults and how he logically knows he should in the place he's in. Basically, you can take the kid out of the Blue Borough but you can't take the Blue Borough out of the kid. At least not quickly. Obviously going from a place where violence frequently happens because of someone looking at someone else the wrong way to a place like Arrowsmith is quite the adjustment.

In England Thomas' residence would be known as working class. In the U.S he doesn't know what to call it, but it's pretty much the same deal. The poor but not quite the projects neighborhood basically. Small house, two bedrooms, small kitchen and a living room. The house itself tends to be very dimly lit, often times the curtains going unopened for a day or two. If the house were lit up you would see that it's just decorated enough to be considered a home. There are some photos on the walls, a painting of a couple of angels, one of European Jesus, a calendar and that's about it. In Thomas' room there's an old laptop, a small plasma TV, an Xbox One and a bookcase. Then of course there's the twin bed and a small chest of drawers.

Thomas had a bit of a fucked up childhood and it would take forever to describe every event that damaged him, his mother or his life in general. Basically though his father was a criminal. Not in the mafia, or a biker gang, or anything dramatic like that, just a petty criminal. Insurance fraud, drug dealing, burglary and the rare shop/store robbery. Honestly all of those things Thomas could have lived with if he wasn't also an alcoholic who spent almost all of his money at the pub and then would come home, shout the place into Oblivion and smash the place up in full view of his terrified children and wife. Suffice to say, he was a bit of a prick. So Thomas' childhood was one full of crime and craziness. He has more than one memory of his house getting raided by the police, one where his mum chased a man a foot and a half taller than her out into the street with a red hot knife, and at least a couple of his dad switching in pubs and beating the crap out of someone.

His parents split up finally when he was eight but unfortunately the damage was done. His mum had severe depression and anxiety (possibly as a result of how her husband treated her, Thomas believes so, but doesn't know for sure) which she coped with by smoking copious amounts of weed. There are far worse drugs for a parent to be dependent upon but cannabis is still expensive, especially for the poor. The habit put a strain on an already strained income and is still an issue in the present.

What's possibly worse is his father passed his life, and (Thomas fears) some of his personality onto his children. Thomas was always a sweet boy, and his brother did what he could to keep him out of trouble, even if that mostly involved telling him to fuck off whilst he and his friends went to burgle a house, commit a street robbery or do whatever else. Either way, it mostly worked, Thomas only ever committed relatively minor crimes, at least compared to his father and brother. Graffiti, vandalism, shoplifting, the occasional street fight, but all of those bar the fighting were before he was twelve years of age, with a couple of notable exceptions. On several occasions he was dragged into more serious conflicts by friends, or his cousin. This lead to him being involved in more violence than such a lad would have otherwise and unfortunately there's no turning off word/rumor in the streets. Once people heard he was a fighter they repeatedly tested him, partly to make a name for themselves and partly just to see if it was true, especially when they experienced his unusual quiet, calm demeanor in person. 

Despite everything Thomas doesn't feel like he's lived much of a life so far. All he has in his mind when he thinks of himself are fucked up memories and him slowly drifting through things such as school, which he goes from disliking to hating on a regular basis. Thankfully his life has been shaken the hell up in recent years when his brother fell in love with a girl in the U.S, and with his brother being the only one with a job, his father estranged and in prison and both Thomas and his mother not having anything special in England to keep them there it really was no big thing to move. Aside from all the immigration of course. That sucked, and was very expensive.

Now, Thomas basically just wants to feel a little more alive. Perhaps make some good memories to help drown the old.

Sonny is 5’10 and weighs 168lb. Tall and lean, he is muscular and athletic but not in a way you could likely tell when he’s fully clothed. Due to his part Iranian blood he is slightly darker skinned than his cousin, basically a slight tan color. He has black hair which he keeps short, typically with a buzz cut and his eyes are a dark brown. He has a lot of scars, the visible ones being on his knuckles, face and neck. The ones on his knuckles are short and somewhat faded. He has one on his face that runs down across his left eyebrow and one on his neck that runs horizontally from the front right side of his neck to about 4” across. He dresses the same as his cousin, wearing hoodies and jeans mostly, with sneakers in various colors.

Kas is an incredibly angry young man, with only a couple of people being able to get through his many defense mechanisms. He’s had experience after experience that has nailed into him the fact that life is in no way fair and he’s taken it very much to heart. To most people he’ll just come across as an asshole, saying and doing whatever he wants with little to no thought for anything else. Others might consider him a bully, but he doesn’t consider himself one. Yeah, he might flip out and possibly get violent at the slightest provocation but he doesn’t go looking for people to be cruel to. If one were to somehow befriend him they’d have to have quite the thick skin, for his attitude won’t change much even among his friends. He’s an incredibly bad influence and will almost certainly end up getting himself expelled.

Despite all of his bad traits he isn't completely rotten. For one he is outgoing as hell, and although what he says may be considered (and probably will be) rude, if one has thick enough skin to brush it off they just might find a friend in Kas. He's actually quite friendly to those he doesn't feel threatened by. He is very loyal to those he likes and will consistently and almost constantly have their back, on principle alone at times. He is also quick witted and rather funny, once again to the right people.

Sonny is the child of Maria’s sister. His father was in and out of his life until he was seven or eight but eventually was killed by a hot shot of heroin, an addiction he had been dealing with since he fled Iran. His mother raised him pretty well for a while but had various mental health issues and was drinking almost constantly by the time Sonny was ten. She died herself a couple of years later when she was out drunk as all hell one night and got into an altercation with a cop. She ended up getting tasered and well apparently even non-lethal weapons can kill. Kind of goes against the fucking point, huh? 

At that time Maria took custody of him. She had her own mental health and addiction issues but she wasn’t near the level of toxicity as Sonny’s parents had been. Unfortunately he was already too far gone. He was in a gang by the time he was eleven and spent the next several years selling drugs, holding weapons for older gangsters, getting into violent fights on the regular and even stabbing a couple of kids for stupid reasons.

At the age of fifteen he’s already been shot at, stabbed, been in half a dozen knife fights and sold thousands of pounds worth of drugs. The only reason he decided to willfully go to the U.S with his adoptive family is because he believed there’d be a far more profitable drugs trade there. This is a kid who is very, very far gone. As for what he wants in school? Nothing. It’ll be a miracle if he isn’t in prison or dead before the others graduate.

Thomas and Kas are very, very different people, but they've been through a lot together and have lived in the same houses going on three years now. They're like brothers, they don't always agree with each other and sometimes their relationship can be damn awkward due to disagreements, but they've both got love for the other. Kas himself secretly looks up to Thomas, there weren't many kids like him on their estate. He admires his apparent uniqueness. He's also one of two people on the entire planet Kas can fully relax around and just let himself be a kid. Thomas can say things to him that he'd bottle over kids over.

Caleb has always been the second twin. Sure, he may have been born first, but when people introduce them, they're "Jacob and Caleb," not "Caleb and Jacob." From their toddler years, it was like this. Caleb never took to sports like his brother, and it was clear that he wasn't going to. Their little league team was a bit of a disaster thanks to Caleb constantly throwing a fit every time he had to play. The younger Caleb took more to academic pursuits. He adored reading, and writing, and his teacher's always praised him as a great student.

As the twins grew, their differences became more pronounced, although they're still incredibly close. But while Jacob is a star soccer player, Caleb is an artist. While Jacob is the most popular boy in their class and has had three girlfriends already (although Caleb doesn't really count the first two) Caleb hasn't even had his first kiss. All Caleb wants to do this year, is survive, and get straight A's. He really wants straight A's.

And while Caleb dresses in dark reserved clothing, Jake dresses in bright colors and button up shirts and khaki shorts that make him look like your typical spoiled white boy.

Jacob McKinnon may have been the last twin to enter the world, but he was always the first one, at least in their father's eyes. While Caleb preferred books, Jake wanted to run around outside, and play pass with their dad. As soon as he was old enough to join, Jake played every sport there was, constantly on the move. He really took a love to soccer though, and it's that that he hopes to continue with, on into college.

As he and his brother grew older, Jake became Caleb's protector, despite the fact that Caleb is older and slightly taller. Jake always held more weight socially, and he used that to keep his brother from falling under any torment, and he sees it as his duty in a way, to keep Caleb out of trouble. All he wants out of freshman year is to make JV, and pass his classes. Oh, and maybe meet some cute girls. Without his girlfriend's knowledge preferably.

The Westburgs have always been hot shit in Arrowsmith. They helped found the town, God knows how many years ago, and so they've always been a family with an overstuffed bank account. Lily's father even took on the Westburg name when he married her. Their's was a torrid love affair, one that shook the whole town, as Lily's father left his own wife for Marissa. Some say it was only for the money, but her mother assures Lily that they did love each other.

Shortly after Lily was born, before she could walk even, Kyle Westburg was killed in a car accident, and Lily's family was shaken to the core. Lily's older sister began to rebel as she grew up, and her relationship with their mother was always rather tense, causing her to move out of the house as soon as she turned eighteen, two years ago. While the sisters have kept in touch, Hayley and Marissa rarely speak. As Lily got older she became rather popular, and she even found her first kiss and boyfriend in Jacob McKinnon, whom she cares for very deeply. Born in the city of LA, Born to an 17 year old homeless girl named Maria. For the first two years of his life, Francisco and his mother barely got by, not even out of high school Maria had to work two jobs.  Abandoned by her parents and the father of her child soon proved impossible for her. When Francisco was two, his mother abandoned him with her cousin. up until the age of 13 Francisco bounced around family member to family member. Considering many of them were poor with families of their own, he was resent for taking up money otherwise put towards more useful things. There were few he stayed with for more then nine months. At the age of 13 Francisco met a couple that would change his life for ever. At the time Francisco was staying with his mothers cousin named Diego. it was during this time Francisco began to become cynical spiteful at the world. Diego was an alcoholic womanizer, he constantly belittled and abused him, both physically and verbally. Diego often went out early in the afternoon to drink, locking the door. Francisco would come home from school to find a locked house sit on the front steps until Diego returned later that night. Once during one of Diego's outings A nice couple were out for a early night walk.
	Jacob and Sara noticed a poor child sitting without a coat on a winter night sitting on the front steps of a darkened house. Sara knew something was wrong and went over to Francisco, After a brief conversation the couple offered to stay with the child for a while. Francisco thanked them but said no it was alright, that his Dad would be home soon.  pretending to walk away the couple watched from farther down the street until 9:30 pm. Finally Sara walked back over to the boy and told him to come with them. After a brief visit to the police station and a warm dinner at a near by dinner, The couple began to get to know  Francisco. Francisco believed the world was a cold and unforgiving place. He hated the world and lost all hope of anything. He didn't care about school,friends,the future or even if he lived past the next day. Francisco's life changed quickly. Francisco was placed in foster care. For a year  he stayed with a near by foster family, for the whole time The Williams family made numerous visits. Sara was shocked by what Francisco had said,determined to help the boy Sara set up therapy sessions. for the whole year the two saw each other twice a week, and slowly the two become close. At first Francisco refuse to cooperate, often sending the entire time in silence. Sara regardless of how Francisco acted was always there for Francisco.Sara would take Francisco out for lunch some times, gave him her personal number and even introduced him to her husband Jacob when ever Jacob came to the office. soon Francisco's defiant attitude turned into one of respect and affection. They started to talk about things Francisco even told Sara about how he had wanted to be a doctor, at least before he had made the mistake of telling Diego. out of sessions Sara took Francisco out to movies, the zoo and even to the toy store. Sara soon  became attached to Francisco, After hearing that he never had a stuffed animal as a baby she went out and bought him a stuffed wolf toy. While Francisco was 13 going on 14, he still treasured the animal and has kept it till this day. slowly she introduced Francisco to her family.  after six months they began the paper work for adoption. Francisco became part of their family three weeks before high school began the family moved to south Dakota.

All his life he has toiled and made sacrifices for both his sister and mother. Coming from a less than favorable neighborhood forced Clyde to learn how to defend himself. Taking boxing lessens has strengthened his body and allowed him to defend his sister. Clyde cares nothing for his schooling and prefers to get the year done as fast as possible so he can enter the workforce to support his family.

Clyde watches Lilac box when he is resting from his sessions. He swears it is nothing weird (though it seems to the contrary). The boy likes to observe her techniques and enjoys seeing how she operates. Coincidentally, whenever Clyde has free money (which is a rarity) he buys the cheapest confectioneries from the bakery Lilac's family owns and operates. Because of his shy nature he tries his best to avoid the fighter.

"To be honest, she scares the livin' daylights outta me."

Ever since Clyde moved to his current neighborhood from Killeen, Texas, Abbie McGumffery has made herself known and present in his household. At first she terrified the Hell out of him, now she only terrifies him half the time. Clyde considers Abbie a dear friend despite their different personality traits. In fact, Abbie is the closest friend Clyde has. Because of their close relationship, Clyde is very protective of Abbie should he see someone attempting to hurt her. More often than not, Abbie is considered a foil to Clyde. She is the only female outside his family that Clyde can talk to normally.

"I should've said somethin' nice to her, anythin' really, but all I did was run away. Gotta work on that."

Their first interaction was not what one could call a good first impression. When Indiana Ryder tried to strike up a conversation with Clyde, the boy stumbled on his words, mumbled something about how lovely the pastries at the Rider's bakery was, and promptly ran away from the conversation. Why the popular girl wanted anything to do with the boy still confuses him to this day; he regrets making a fool of himself in front of her.

"The first guy to ever stand up for me. Is he really that dude's brother?"

Caleb made himself known when he stopped his brother, Jacob McKinnon, from harassing Clyde. At first it confused the boy as no one had ever stood up for him before. But soon it dawned upon Clyde that Caleb is a genuinely kind person. To this day Clyde is trying to find out how to express his gratitude.

"I can't stand the guy. I wish he'd leave me alone."

Jacob is a guy that Clyde has had numerous run-ins with. Despite Clyde's overwhelming size compared to his classmates, it does not stop Jacob from harassing him. And being the way he is, Clyde says nothing to defend himself from Jacob. He wishes Jacob would leave him be.

Clyde watches Lilac box when he is resting from his sessions. He swears it is nothing weird (though it seems to the contrary). The boy likes to observe her techniques and enjoys seeing how she operates. Coincidentally, whenever Clyde has free money (which is a rarity) he buys the cheapest confectioneries from the bakery Lilac's family owns and operates. Because of his shy nature he tries his best to avoid the fighter. He has a crush on Lilac but is too afraid of doing anything about it.

"To be honest, she scares the livin' daylights outta me."

Ever since Clyde moved to his current neighborhood from Killeen, Texas, Abbie McGumffery has made herself known and present in his household. At first she terrified the Hell out of him, now she only terrifies him half the time. Clyde considers Abbie a dear friend despite their different personality traits. In fact, Abbie is the closest friend Clyde has. Because of their close relationship, Clyde is very protective of Abbie should he see someone attempting to hurt her. More often than not, Abbie is considered a foil to Clyde. She is the only female outside his family that Clyde can talk to normally.

"I should've said somethin' nice to her, anythin' really, but all I did was run away. Gotta work on that."

Their first interaction was not what one could call a good first impression. When Indiana Ryder tried to strike up a conversation with Clyde, the boy stumbled on his words, mumbled something about how lovely the pastries at the Rider's bakery was, and promptly ran away from the conversation. Why the popular girl wanted anything to do with the boy still confuses him to this day; he regrets making a fool of himself in front of her.

"The first guy to ever stand up for me. Is he really that dude's brother?"

Caleb made himself known when he stopped his brother, Jacob McKinnon, from harassing Clyde. At first it confused the boy as no one had ever stood up for him before. But soon it dawned upon Clyde that Caleb is a genuinely kind person. To this day Clyde is trying to find out how to express his gratitude.

"I can't stand the guy. I wish he'd leave me alone."

Jacob is a guy that Clyde has had numerous run-ins with. Despite Clyde's overwhelming size compared to his classmates, it does not stop Jacob from harassing him. And being the way he is, Clyde says nothing to defend himself from Jacob. He wishes Jacob would leave him be.

Allie used to live in a small town named North Port in Florida, but when her father was listed as MIA in the army, her mother had to move. It broke Allie and Elizabeth's heart to hear that he was potentially dead. Todd's hometown was Arrowsmith, so Elizabeth had them move there, thinking it would give them some closure. Allie was horrified to move somewhere else, she didn't want to move from all of her friends. She told her friends and asked if they would stay in touch, she knew they wouldn't. Elizabeth could hardly look at her daughter, because all she saw was Todd. Allie was a lot like Todd, down to the smallest mannerisms. He would always be biting his nails, and without anything to do, you'd look over and see her biting her nails. Elizabeth cried herself to sleep nearly every night, and Allie felt so heartbroken for her, not even just her, herself even. She lost her Daddy, and that hurt like nothing else. So they tried to comfort each other, as they didn't want to be sad all the time. They had to move on.

Lilac isn't the type to go to parties and hang with friends on the weekends. Hell, she's not really even the type to make any friends. She's the type to study enough to maintain a passing grade, hang with her family enough to maintain a loving relationship, and then devote the rest of her time to perfecting a single passion. In this case, that passion is boxing. She practices whenever she can, and even has a punching bag for her room. But there's more to her than her passion for boxing. She is the silent type, but not in a shy or timid way. No, she's not quiet because she's afraid of messing up, but rather because she simply doesn't have anything to say to anyone. To those who aren't close to her (anyone who's not her family or ex-boxing trainer) she has a menacing vibe. Despite this, though, Lilac has a fairly heroic personality. When she sees someone in trouble, she does what she can to help, especially if the trouble they're in has something to do with violence. She doesn't really know how to interact with people, so she doesn't, and due to her menacing appearance, people don't interact with her.

For both financial reasons and convenience, the Riders are currently in the back of Mr. Samson's Bakery. The front of the bakery looks just as you'd expect it to look. Of course there's a kitchen, which is the biggest room in the living area, and there's a bathroom, which they have to share with the public. But there are also two bedrooms. One belonged to Lilac, and the other to her parents. In Lilac's room, there are a few small, half-empty bookshelves, a desk, a lamp, a bed, and a punching bag. In her parents' room, there's a queen-sized bed, a single bookshelf, two nightstands with two lamps, and a small TV. Since this room has the TV, they also use it to watch shows and movies together.

The Past (and misc.)

|| BIOGRAPHY ||
(Warning:Mature Content! Viewer discretion advised!) Let's face it: middle school is hell for everyone. But for Lilac, it was beyond hell. You see about a week in, the most popular girl in school, Amy Teller, went missing. There was a big freak out, and nobody could find her. But eventually, halfway through the year, the police had found that Amy Teller had been kidnapped and (*Censored*) by the school's janitor, a man named Edward. Why, you may ask, did this make Lilac's middle school life so terrible? Well, I'll tell you. Lilac had an uncle. His name was Edward Rider, and he was sent to prison for the kidnapping and (*Censored*) of Amy Teller. 

After that, people didn't take to kindly to Lilac. At first, it was just insults. But then, things started getting physical. She'd get sent home with a black eye or a busted lip. And after countless times of her mother and father's shared gasps of shock and embraces of distress, Lilac had had enough. You see, there was a man named Mr. Tanning. He was a muscular man with black hair and a handlebar mustache. He was a regular at her parents' (original) bakery, and he ran a local boxing gym. So one day, when he came in to get his bread, she begged him to train her. So he did, for two reasons: he liked the fact that she just wanted to be strong, and she promised she'd get him a discount on all bakery items. 

She trained almost nonstop in those few years, and Mr. Tanning bought excess amount bread. It didn't take her long to get to the point where she could defend herself against the bullies. But then, near the end of 8th grade, Lilac got into a sticky situation. She was about to go head to head with a few of the guys who usually picked on her, when they did something they'd never done before: they all pulled out knives. Some were switch blades, some kitchen knives, but it didn't matter. She was able to escape with only a few nicks and cuts, and when she told her parents, they decided that perhaps a change in scenery would be nice. So they packed up and said goodbye to everyone they knew. Mr. Tanning and some of the other guys at the boxing gym threw her a going away party. They got her a cake, and also all chipped in to buy her two presents: a pair of bright red, brand new boxing gloves, and her very own punching bag. And with that, her hand her parents set off for a small town called Arrowsmith.

Her birth mother did not want her; Kelsey was put up for adoption immediately. She spent two weeks in the hospital after her birth before Helena Hartford strolled along, looking to adopt a child. The woman, 28 at the time, had no intention of marrying or carrying a child, and found that adoption would be her best bet. She adopted Kelsey, bringing the baby into her own home as if she were her own.

Kelsey can’t remember when she found out she was adopted, but it was never an issue. Her relationship with Helena Hartford was as strong as any biological relationship. They had their disagreements here and there, particularly throughout middle school, but it was never anything serious.

When Kelsey was 6, she came home from school to discover that her mother had adopted another daughter, Kristina. She didn’t ask any questions, only accepted her new sister whole-heartedly. The two grew to be quite close as they grew up, becoming virtually inseparable. Their mother pampered them, but was also sure to make sure they were raised well, having them do their own chores and working for their allowance despite her exorbitant wealth. Eventually, Kelsey did learn the truth about Kristina’s life, but it did nothing to change her perceptions of her mother or of Kristina.

The calmer, quieter Hartford, but by no means a pushover. Kris can more than take care of herself, but is smart enough to know when to pick a fight and when to let something go. It’s a lesson Kelsey hasn’t yet learned, so Kris usually finds herself pulling Kelsey away from people before she rips their eyes out. She likes to see the good in life, particularly when Kelsey is fishing for the bad. She always wants to find a better way to handle problems, or a better reason as to why a problem occurs.

Most people only know Kris as the “other Hartford girl” at first, but once they spend a little time getting to know her, they realize she’s just as interesting as Kelsey, and is just as much of her own person. Kris’ social life suffers from being attached to Kelsey all the time, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. She could have her own cliques and her own circle of friends independent of Kelsey’s, but Kris is more than happy being overshadowed by her sister as long as it keeps them together.

The one thing she hates most is when people make assumptions about her life. She’s a black girl adopted by a rich white woman, and for some reason, people think that means that Kris has it easy and doesn’t know what it’s like to be struggling. Given that that assumption is completely untrue, it’s the only thing that can really piss Kris off.

She was born Olivia Thompson, to a single, jobless mother living alone in lower-class Detroit, Michigan, with no siblings. They struggled to survive, begging on the streets while her mother fought for hours at the local grocery store. It was difficult, and Olivia hated every minute of it.

When Olivia was five, her mother was arrested on charges of drug abuse and possession. She was taken by child services and moved from foster home to foster home, once again hating everything about it.

Fortunately, one of the foster homes Olivia was at was close to Helena Hartford. Helena offered to adopt the girl and take her into her own home, if Olivia took a liking to Helena. After about a month of Helena visiting the foster home and getting to know Olivia, the two agreed that Olivia should go home with Helena and meet Kelsey. They also agreed that Olivia would change her name completely, in an attempt for the girl to move on past her childhood and try to restart her life.

At first, Kristina, as she chose to be known, was nervous in her new home. Her new sister, Kelsey, was friendly towards her, and after a while, Kristina warmed up as well. The two got along perfectly, and now, they’re completely inseparable.

As you can imagine, giving a young girl a lot of money and a lot of room to operate doesn’t exactly make her a model citizen. Jess is already a smoker, both cigarettes and marijuana, and she’s more than willing to explore everything for the sake of “understanding more about herself.” The world is a playground, and Jess has the keys to it.

It’s a mystery whether Jess sees other people as people at this point, or just tools for her enjoyment. She doesn’t really have a lot of respect for anyone besides herself, though she knows where the line between plain rudeness and complete bigotry is. Jess doesn’t pretend to know what it’s like to be on the wrong side of a power dynamic, since her confidence and family wealth almost always give Jess the upper hand. 

She’s wary of people that are drawn to her, largely because she knows her reputation often precedes her, and most people just want her for a quick fuck. That’s not how she operates, but most people don’t seem to get that. As such, Jess doesn’t really have any real friends, but most people know who she is.

This isn’t the first summer before freshman year Jess has had; just a year ago, Jess was living in the Hamptons in New York City, preparing to start her real first year of high school. Of course, when you get caught sending pictures of yourself to an older man over the internet and having phone sex with him, that can derail those high school plans pretty significantly.

She’s spent the larger part of the last year sitting in a room with lawyers working out a lawsuit settlement between her parents and the man she had been talking to. Jess skipped that year of high school, and when her family realized that there was absolutely no way to escape the media attention that came with Jess’ case, they relocated to her father’s hometown of Arrowsmith, South Dakota.

Not that this was the first sexual incident Jess has been involved in; by her count, she’s made out with enough people to fill a bus, and she’s fucked at least seven of them. Call her a slut, call her a rebel, Jess doesn’t quite give a shit; she likes the feeling of empowerment that sex gives her. Moving to South Dakota hasn’t been the most thrilling time of her life, but she’ll make it work. The only question her parents have for her is if Jess can avoid another incident.
