@jbcool So I'm writing my post, and I realize, I am not clear on how dangerous these mandrakes are. I see they have blades and balefire, and maybe guns of some kind, but can any of that cut through armor/metal?

I'm going to assume so, since they are attacking us and since we're going to be losing a few of our player characters in this scene.

Some people have lives, and work for a living, so sorry about that inconvinience. When you're getting the same question in multiple RPs...well...one gets rather annoyed

As to your question, the reason you'll be losing a few is simply because of their element of surprise and their semi-daemonic nature. One-on-one with an Astartes they're nothing amazing, but in a cramped chamber, uncaring for loss of human life, and with their unique abilities they become more dangerous.

So, make of that what you will.
