I have also been known to on multiple occasions had a "Hold the door open battle" with others. Basically two people want to let the other go through the door first but neither will concede.

Connor, or formally known in the [Insert LastName] house as 'Dad'. He is considered to be by all means a good father by friends and other relatives for how he has been raising his kids as best he was able to. He carries a friendly and open attitude with anyone he meets and willingly strikes up a conversation with neighbors when he sees them or even strangers if he finds a good way to initiate if he's interested. Now as everyone is mostly older, he is more liberal with his more mature antics and actions with the rest of the family when relatives come over. Having a capable grasp on his own appearance, he keeps himself in shape while having a surprisingly good wardrobe which attributed to picking out clothing for his kids when they were younger and setting up outfits for them. Together, it makes Connor a surprisingly intimidating man to approach with an air of self-confidence that his presence seems to feel heavy with it.

While he may play the goofy and carefree card most of the time, he, of course, has limits on what he willingly let's go past him before fixing it. While not the strictest of parents, he has a firm hand on what he absolutely does not want them to do and makes it publicly known when it is crossed or comes near to it. He doesn't neglect on lecturing the significant others of his children when he first meets them (should they ever come) about his expectations of them as well. Besides that, he lets his kids have some sort of independence when they were younger and increased it as they got older so long they followed the household rules imposed on them. This lax parenting, however, is only a guise to his highly observant and smart nature that would be unexpected from him as he works behind the scenes to make sure they are safe. A form of helicopter-parenting which he doesn't let any of his children know of as they grew up when he monitored their activities more or less. Of course, he eventually got out of it as the children got older but he still keeps tabs on them to make sure they are safe or okay, even if they don't tell him or mom.

When not worrying about the family, he can mainly be found working and clocking in hours for overtime for his projects that he wants to finish early if possible. Having an extensive computer setup for his work at home along with a laptop suitable for working when mobile. When the rare moment of being free from work, you may see him enjoying himself on the neat setup he has for his computer. However, even he knows that being stuck inside the house isn't good for anyone and goes out more often than playing on the computer but sometimes he may take his laptop to work outside simply for the fresh air.

The Great Surname Debate!

That's right, I'm coming at you with The Great Surname Debate (which I am trying copyright rights over. Watch this space!)! So please, come at me with all of your surname suggestions. If throw a few into the mix to get the ball rolling.

Something that sounds cool like Erikson, or maybe something a bit more traditional like Buchanan or Calhoun.

Question for everyone. When during the year are we gonna start this RP out? Will summer be just starting for them? Will it be during their Christmas? Or will we align them with our closer time having them start in the new year?

Well, we don't really want this family to be overpopulated, but if there is some form of relation you can think of which doesn't imply the mother is weirdly fertile, then sure you can double. It just don't want the number of kids to seem a bit large.

Also, in relation to your question, I think Christmas is a nice time, as that is usually when families are all together. But, I'll wait and see what everyone else thinks.

@Erklings25 I was only asking if the others don't show up. Also, @Oliver, are Linus's parents just not gonna show up? Because my question of doubling was partly for that.
