Asae Kyuuji

Asae followed the path before she heard the splattering of water, the waterfall. She sighed with relief, while she did have superhuman stamina and strength, carrying Dana through the entirety of the jungle terrain was killer. Not to mention she just wanted to be alone, she was still recalling memories that had or rather wanted to repress back deep into her mind, locked away in a metaphorical vault. She walked with haste and found Henry talking to a group, calling out "Henry! I need your help!" she shouted over the sound of the water. She suddenly felt how tired she truly was, holding up her protective side the entire time, pushed her through the lack of stamina she had. Being in the arms of safety was welcoming her eye lids to close and just sleep, but she would rather make sure Dana was safe before she excused herself from group to go on her own like originally planned.

She jogged slightly to Henry, who was within the water "We had gotten attacked by a bear, ended up breaking her Wheel chair. There was no sign of Matt though, but I do hope he is aware of the animals around him, we had been careless with that" she looked to Dana, trying to tell her with her eyes, pleading not to speak about the blue girl or what happened, she wanted to just forget as is, she didn't need more "I'll leave her in your care, that was enough action for me for one day, think I might head back or go find a peaceful place to nap in the forest, who knows." she did her best at concealing her feelings, and she waved goodbye before walking back into the jungle to clear her head, by herself and in peace. Climbing a rather large tree, she sat on a branch, cross legged and holding her hands upwards. She closed her eyes and opened her mind to meditating, drifting away and feeling nothing once again.

Henry Olin

"You what?" Henry said, looking incredulously at Codi. Seeing if someone could breath underwater was no easy feat and went against just about every instinct the human mind had. A clash of instincts never ended up well, at least from his experience. "That's a terrible idea." Henry said back, his tongue flicking out of his mouth and smelling the air. "But I cant exactly stop you. I'll be in the water to save him if he needs me. Be warned, Ms. Bailey, if Atticus is injured or gets into a bad situation through this, it will be on you." Henry said, before looking ahead. "Karlie, hop off. We're approaching the waterfall." He said.

When Karlie was off, they did not stop, but approached the waterfall's edge. It was easily a fifty foot drop, and the water below would be clear if there wasn't so much white water. It was a lush enviornment around the falls, and aquatic life could be seen moving through the water. Small brim and other freshwater fish. Nothing that could even remotely cause a threat. "Well everyone," Henry said, turning around to face the group that had been following him. "Only way down if gravity!" He said, before allowing himself to fall backwards off the ledge and down the falls head first. He turned mid air and fell in a more dive like fashion, and hit the water with an average sized splash for his size. However, Codi's plan had sparked his own evil side, and he did not resurface. Water flooded into his wetsuit, but instead of him beginning to drown, he ehaled underwater, allowing the carbon dioxide in his lungs to exit and for his skin to begind absorbing oxygen from the water around him. He exhaled regularly. It was like having built in scuba gear. His body's third eyelid covered his eyes to allow a pair of built in goggles.

Of course, he was under the white water, so none of the students above him could not see him. The stage is set, now to see how they would react.
Ben Voss, "Pink" Vincigarru, Abraham Gene, Shannon Balore, & Deborah Termellio
(Written in collaboration with Jazzy, & Leonerdo)

Ben watched as the three left, and was about to leave himself to escape the uncomfortable silence that was his conversarion with Abe, and Pink walked in, he smiled brightly to his adopted sister, and then frowned. As if the look alone was ten minutes worth of scolding for missing school. He looked her in the eyes and looked over to Abe, before motioning wildly to his soda and then to Abe's, then made an odd switching motion and then gave a confused look. To Pink, this odd charades game would've said something along the lines of: 'I gave him grape soda, he didn't like it, what did I do wrong?'

Looking between Pink and Ben as they communicated (if you could even call it that!), Abraham scuffled his eyebrows, narrowing them. Here they were, just talking! Right in front of him! Just as if he wasn't here. Whoever this short litte monster of a girl was - may God have mercy on her sex life - just came a'swoopin' in and starting talking up Ben with only so much as a "hi", just before she propped up her litte fish ass on top of the table. He was two seconds away from wrapping her up in seaweed or sticking her like kebab.

"Wrong kind of fuckin' pool, Nemo." He scoffed cynically.

Pink audibly smacked a palm against her face. For the love of... Ben was sweet, but sometimes completely oblivious. Sucidally oblivious. Then Abe, the person she was (sort of) defending had to start being an asshat. Pink rolled her eyes and ignored his comments. That was the best she could do, after all, ignore him. "You big..." Pink started off, wiping her hand off her face. "... That's a big sterotype! They- uh, people like him, don't like that!" Once again, her Hispanic accent slipped in. Even Pink knows that. She sounded annoyed, but she couldn't stay angry for long. After all, she understood that Ben lived on a farm for most of his life.

"People like him? Christ have mercy, people." Abe snorted.

Well, at least she wasn't daft enough to not notice the problem. What kind of backwards asshole does one got to be?

Ben looked down to the soda and gave an even more confused face before motion to it wildly. 'It's a frickin' soda!' Before he shook his head and downed the rest of the soda and disposed of it in the recycling bin. He make a soundless sign, and then turned back to Pink.

"... It's 'frickin' racist!" Pink exploded. She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. Honestly, she wanted to get out of here away from Pheromone-chick. "Let's just go now. Some people in here smell horrible." She gestured towards Vespera.

"Bingo! And there we have it folks!" Abraham chimed sarcastically as he threw his arms up in the air. Did Bitch Hoss seriously not understand that? Still. He had to give the ugly mermaid her credence: after mentioning how someone smelled horrible, and then gesturing to Wednsday Addam's slutty cousin, he had to keep himself from leaning back and cackling. He did nothing more than raising his hand to his face and biting his knuckle, but was unable to hide the shit-eating grin that stretched from ear to ear.

Ben raised his hands defensively in an 'I didnt know!' kind of fashion. His eyebrow raised and he looked over to Vespera. He hadn't smelled anything but, hell if he knew. Pink had a better sense of smell. Oh well. He could take them to the garden! Yes, then he could practice with his power more. He grabbed Pink by her arm and led her outside, not too forcefully of course. He knew his strength well. When they arrived at the garden, he saw another group just leaving. He recognized Shannon and her friend who he had yet to meet, and waved at them.
Premonitions told Deborah that she was being watched. It was a feeling in the back of her head... But that same feeling told her that it wasn't malicious. She was wondering who would be spying on them. Vespera? Valjean? Someone else. That feeling was confirmed when their little spy dropped down from the tree.... Rather nonchalantly asking to come along. Deborah paused for a moment to examine him (Was on top of the tree, and spying on you the whole time. He heard everything). Wait, what? Did he just appear out of no where? Because last time she checked, the trio were perceptive enough to be able to see that. Other than that... Deborah didn't get much from him. He was just... average. Tall too. Debby sighed, closing her eyes. "... First, don't eavesdrop on us, please." She opened her eyes. Waiting for his reaction, since she knew that he knew.

Another nosy behind eavesdropper? Seriously, one thing that irritated Shannon was someone who can't keep to themself. And how? Shannon looked up at the tree. There was no in high hell they couldn't have noticed him. Invisibility would be the only logical way they couldn't have noticed him, and even then Debby's premonition non-sense would have at least told them. "I don't know who you are..." She adjusted her glasses, "... But I highly suggest that you mind your own business." She spoke laced with venom, crossing her arms. "Because you've already gotten on my 'wrong foot'."

Deborah sighed. Shannon being Shannon... Always so uppfront with how she dislikes people. Well, at least she has a point. It is best that you mind your own busines... As completely hypocritical as it sounded. However, Deborah was not too against him coming along. She knows his intentions, and they are not malicious like Vespera's. He seems to be curious... A trait both of them have in common. What Deborah wanted to know was what his power was, and what his inner-most thoughts were. She could find out if they bring him along. "Shannon, it's okay." She put a hand on Shannon's shoulder. "I believe we could give him a chance to redeem himself." What's the worse that could go wrong? If he's useless, then they'll cut all ties with him, and that will be the end of it (Until he spies on them again). "That said, the answer is yes." ... Until I get what I want from you.

Once again, Shannon rolled her eyes. ".. Fine, but don't get in the way of the people actually doing something." She put a hand on her hip, and rolled her eyes. At the corner of her eyes, Shannon spotted her new bestie, Ben the giant, with a girl who looked like she strolled her way out of some furry's wet dream. Shannon didn't want to say anything to them, being uninterested in them, but Deborah had some different ideas.
The Titan waving was at her was not unfamiliar, well, the shark next to her was, but she knew Ben as the guy who was talking to Shannon. What she was interested in was their relationship, and what they wanted by following them here to the Garden (Just wanted to get out of the lounge). Well, good enough. "Hey, come over!" She waved back and shouted, giving them the greenlight.

Ben smiled and motioned for Pink to follow to be his translator for the time being. Ben, being himself, just wanted to hang out and go wherever these people were going if they would have him. He was still jacked up on coffee and needed some way to expend energy in a nondestructive manner. When he came over he stuck out he hand and gave a look to Pink that said 'Please introduce me because I'm mute and all.', with the biggest and most adorable puppy dog eyes look a 6'10, scruffy moutain man clad in a leather jacket could offer. With big round eyes, glimmering under the casting of light down at small girl half his height. His wide smiled stretched from either end of his rosy cheeks with his lips puckered gently for added effect.

Nailed it.

Oh boy. Ben was doing just fine a few minutes ago... Unintentionally coming off as racist as all hell, and.... Damn, maybe I should do this after all. Pink sighed, looking at the group before them. A red-head, black-girl, a generic tall-guy, a guy in a suit, a one armed guy, and a woman. Just the dandiest freakshow! Then again, she looked like a shark fucker, and was standing next to the world's tallest farmboy. "Hiiiii!" Pink said, casually walking up to them. "Uhhh... I'm Pink, and this is my friend, Ben Voss."

Shannon tipped her glasses, "Yes... I am very aware of your friend." She crossed her arms.

Ben simply pulled another cotton ball out of his pocket and tossed it in Shannon's general direction.

"... And I am also aware of his ability to pull cotton out his ass." Shannon caught the cotton using her powers almost instantly. It floated over to her, and she put it in her pocket. For later. "I figure you two have want to talk to us... unfortunately, we have business to attend to elsewhere. We'll have to keep things brief, yes?"

Ben waved his arms around wildly to Pink, vaguely representing them going with the other group. He was a genious. A god damn genious.

Oh, boy. Pink thought to herself, rolling her eyes. He wants to go along with them and looks an idiot at the same time! Pink wasn't too interested in going along with them... Actually. Pink looked down at her ocean-blue bikini, which was a little too small to be called modest. She wanted to get out of this bikini, and into something that didn't make her so revealing.... And get this sand out. At least she'll play along with Ben's game and ask. Hopefully they'll decline, and go on their way, "Well... We're new and want to get a feel for the school... Maybe we can come along with you?"

Shannon sighed. No matter her objections, she knew Debby would want to drag them along. Jesus, this seems like a massive expedition now. Besides, she had taken a liking to Ben. "Ooooooh, nothing interesting... We're just taking a little look around in the shipwreck off the coast. Nothing exciting, after all."

Deborah stayed on the sideline (They are really close, in a non-romantic way). Interesting. But Deborah wanted to know more. She examined Pink (Bestial meta, has shark-like features) and her mannerisms (Not very interested in us). Hmmm... I can deduce that I couldn't have figured that out for myself, power! (No). Deborah rolled her eyes. There wasn't much information she could cherry-pick from this, so she planned on letting things play out. Be the watcher.

Ben listened closely to what Shannon said, and stroked his chin. He had never been to the ship wreck before, and he was sure Pink would like it because ships were in water right? So he was all for it. Ben simply smiled and gave the girls two thumbs up signifying he was all for a little bit of exploring. He briefly wondered whether or not this was legal, then he realized he didn't care the much. School was out for the day anyways. In a way it would be a day at the beach, except at a ship wreck. He heard something about another student having caused a huge accident in the past. He wondered how it would look like now.

Actually, going to the shipwreck sounded like a great idea. She'd be able to kill two birds with one stone. Indulge Ben in this stupid trip, and be in water. Though, truth be told, the second she gets to a beach she's jumping in the water to wash out this sand. "Fine, I guess I'll go along..." Pink kicked her feet at the ground.

"... But on one condition, Big Man." That was her new nickname for Ben. "You have to give me plenty of cotton along the way to work with."' She tipped her glasses at Ben. "Do we have a deal?"

Ben gave the thumbs up once again.

Either way, Deborah just couldn't contain herself. Everyone was sitting around talking when they could be solving mysteries! She grabbed Shannon by the wrist and began dragging her along, "C'mon, we don't have time for that! Mystery awaits!" She went straight for the walls. She knew exactly where the ship wreck was.

"... Hey, Debs, wait!" Shannon yelled, resisting for a moment, before she simply stopped and let herself be pulled.

Ben looked down at Pink and shrugged, before following after the rest of the group.

Karlie Davis

Karlie looked over the edge of the waterfall, then down at her outfit. "Well poo..." She took off her hat followed by her boots and socks. I wish I had known what we were doing ahead of time... Oh well. All the other costumes were animal ones, all of which were more cumbersome than her safari getup. Some were even full body. That meant it was good as it going to get, with the exception of stripping down more. If this group was a smaller gang of friends she very well might have. Then there was the fact that this outing was headed by a teacher, who was already in the water. Wonder what he'd think if I dropped down in my panties. She chuckled a little as she tossed her backpack to the side. "Well, here goes nothing." Karlie rolled her shoulders back and tilted her head side to side before running off the edge. In the brief moment before she hit the water she realized something. All the other times she had done this sort of thing the swimsuit she wore made her good at it. Time she sorta just flailed in midair as she plummeted into the water bellow. Were this at a public pool there would have been a loud smack, likely accompanied by flinching from onlookers. As it was the sound of the falls drowned out the noise. Her toes all the way up to her belly were on fire. She scrambled for the surface, a few tears accompanied the droplets that clung to her face. Karlie used to be a decent swimmer, but she didn't give her power proper credit in that department until now. Gritting her teeth she struggled for the shore. She was going to be good not cliff diving for a while. On the bright side of things at least she could say that she did it. Henry was the last thing on her mind until she reached a rock she could hold on to, only then did she begin to scan the surface for him. All the while she clutched her abdomen and rubbed it gently.

Vespera Spindel

Does this girl have a deathwish? Vespera's tracked Shannon coolly. She was stone faced the entire time, in fact she didn't move a muscle. When she left she sneered contemptuously. Let her think that she can just walk away. All I have to do is wait until later. Then she'll see just how much I like attention. Not very much. At least not undue attention. She was a little ticked at being singled out by someone other than her target. They were roommates so there was no escaping her. Well to start off with I can make the room much more... homey. That's not the word most would use, more like a lair. Blocking the light from the window entirely and draping her webs all over the place. In the past she had done things like create a cover for the light that had shapes cut out of it. This time she had the idea to hang an effigy of Shannon in the doorway. It wouldn't really resemble her all that much, there were limits to her power. Still it would be clear who made it, and it really couldn't be for anyone else. No no, I'll have to confront her first. Save that for later.

Then she became a little more alert as a clear bestial type entered the lounge. Vespera moved around the table to get a better view, then made contact with the cue ball once more. Her speech was so unrefined that were it not for her visible power she'd have turned away. Figures that she's friends with the mute. She looked over at blacky to see how he was reacting to being ignored right in front of him. Everything flipped when she indicated that she smelt bad. The pool cue in her hands started shaking a little. On the first day of school she had been made a fool of not once, but twice in succession. Her eyes briefly flashed and she shuddered as her skin momentarily began to darken. During her little disconnect the two newcomers had stood up and were heading out the door. Good riddance. Now maybe she would have a chance, though she was beginning to get the idea that it'd be more entertaining to string him than chat him up. Vespera was still a little conscious of the previous comment, so cut her pheromone excretion in half before approaching him. "Hold your face like that much longer and it might stick. Imagine how much a charmer you'd be then." She didn't look at him entirely when speaking, and she flicked her hand as if she was trying get something off it.

Seth Maxwell

Adam ran after Poppy, and Seth followed much more casually. A brisk walk aided by his long slender legs. He didn't have to go that far, it looked as if another student had managed to pacify her. He leaned forward and adjusted his glasses. Pheromones. A coincidence he assumed. Nobody could have planned this safety net, not even himself. By the time he got up to Adam the girls were nearly out of view. Things seemed to be going nicely and he surely wasn't going to follow them forever. I wonder where they're headed... Then he snapped back to Adam. He couldn't lose his train of thought. While he was curious they were less important than the task at hand. "I presume everything is under control, for the moment at least." It wasn't the topic top of mind, but as a teacher he had other priories on top of his own. This whole island might as well have been a giant experiment to Seth. So long as he was high and dry he was content to let things run their natural course. "Next power training I'd very much like to work with her. It was unfortunate I was otherwise occupied earlier." From his stand point it sounded like things had gotten out of hand.

Dana Lucille Alcott.

"Wait, Asae!" Dana called out to Asae as she excused herself. This was not good. Henry and Karlie were already cliff diving, that was a clear indicator that they weren't in any position to help. Asae had already disappeared into the treeline, and no eyes were on Dana. She immediately changed forms. This form... It didn't help Dana even in the slightest. Everything was starting to get so overwhelming. She crawled up into the fetal position (Close as they form could get), and started rocking back and forth. Dana felt so hopeless right now, she was nearly killed a few minutes ago! She was just the crippled girl, and-and... she just couldn't handle it. There was a alien sound coming from her, it was something inhuman, high-pitched, echoing, but sounded much like sobbing.

Dana remained there, rocking back and forth.
Jaska Din Valos.

It seemed that Aislin was a bit more perceptive than the child had anticipated. "A deer!" He cheerfully says, his tone implied he was quite proud of himself. He licked the blood off his claws with his long tongue. "I saw it, and I chased it all over the woods until I just caught it... I just had to eat it!" This made the child regress to times where he had conversations with his mothers after getting a kill. She was just so proud of him, it was just icing on the cake. "The deer was fast, but I'm faster, but you should already know that." But then, Jaska remembered that when he went to live with the Valos, he could never talk about his accomplishments like he used to. They just didn't understand him. He was hoping to find some level of understanding among his fellow mutants.

Though, when Henry was brought up, the child wiped that proud demeanor right off his face. His eyes drifted to the side, a frown crept up on his face, and he simply kicked his legs back and forth. Not a word came out of his mouth, even though Aislin called him 'Jungle-King'. Jaska still hadn't forgiven Henry for what he's done... Which was good reason for not going along with his little trip. Just put some space in between the two. "Mhm... I... Rather go out here by myself." The lone wolf goes where he wanna, after all. "No one to tell me what to do... I'm free to do as I please. How Mommy says I should live..." He was trying to disguise his emotions, with little. He spoke exactly like he wasn't as comfortable and cheerful as he usually was, strained. Jaska got on his belly, and crossed his claws in front of him. "... I didn't want to walk around with a bunch of humans anyway... They'd probably get lost." Not Jaska, he'd navigated places like this before like a master. Nothing would ever sneak up on him, he'd never get lost.

He greatly appreciated that Aislin put out her cigarette, but didn't know what else she could be smoking other than a cigarette. Whatever. Long as she stopped smoking it, the details were irrelevant. "Thanks." Jaska expressed gratitude. He probably should have told her about his Heart of Fire, and it's effects on even the smallest flame, but he'd not bring up the subject of the cigarette again.

Aislin then mentioned finding those caves. Oooooh, not that sounded interesting. She even said she'd feel safe around him! That was enough to turn him back into the spastic young beast he always was. He stood up on the tree branch, digging his claws into the branch to hold on. "Yes!" He loudly exclaimed, "I'll take you there, Pretty Lady!" He didn't know where there was, but that didn't matter! She wanted to go somewhere with him. Then she did something weird to the ground, Jaska had to raise an eyebrow, but was nonetheless curious.

The Pretty lady suggested a race. But, how are they supposed to race there if they don't know where it is? Well, he wasn't the type to question the finer details. Jaska knew that she wouldn't be able to beat him. With powers without him. This is a jungle, and he was made for this. "Alright, race ya!" Jaska immediately jumped onto a branch, using his claws to catch himself, before springing off and grabbing the next one. In between leaps, Jaska had already unfurled his wings larger than himself.

Codi Bailey and Atticus Fowler

Codi was fully aware that if Atticus got hurt in her prank, she would be responsible for it. However, just because she had been confident before, didn’t mean that as they approached the top of the falls, she didn’t begin to have doubts. She didn’t want him to be injured, so she supposed the only way to keep him from hitting the side of the cliff would be to push him extremely far over the edge of the falls. Regardless, the longer she thought about it, the more doubts she had; it was in no way easy to do something like this. It felt like plotting a murder. He would probably be too angry and shocked to even speak to her, and that made her feel worse about what she was planning. When Henry dived over the edge of the falls, though, making sure that he was there to act as lifeguard in case Atticus began to drown, she knew she would either have to go ahead and do it, or lose her chance. She doubted that the faculty would force Atticus to do a risky attempt like this, and so, it was either take this opportunity, or never know for certain what his limits were. She didn’t enjoy it though; no light-hearted or optimistic thoughts beforehand could really ever prepare her for this.

Codi steeled her nerves, and uneasily waited for her chance to come, as it soon did, when Atticus walked to the edge of the cliff to peer down into the water, trying to find where Henry had landed. It took nearly ten times the resolve to the perform the action, but by some vile chance, she managed it. She coiled up one of Reef’s powerful arms, and, before she could permit herself to rationalize an excuse to stop, shoved her friend a clear six feet off of the cliff. Atticus screamed as he fell, not even knowing fully what had happened, and it hurt enough to bring tears to Codi’s eyes. She crumbled to her knees, peering over the edge of the cliff, watching in horror as the pure terror he experienced triggered a transformation. She immediately wished she hadn’t done it, but there wasn’t any taking it back. She tried to rationalize why she had done this, but it was impossible, even though she had done it earlier. She could only watch, hoping that he could breathe underwater, as she broke down and started to cry, just as shocked by what she had done as Atticus was.

Completely stunned by the turn of events, when Atticus plunged deep under the white waters, the only thing he could think of was air. He didn’t have a fresh breath in his lungs, and he was already feeling a burning sensation as he needed more. He started to urgently swim up, but the current of the waterfall was difficult to fight against, as the shock of falling had made him lose all coordination, and his clothing kept getting in the way. The terror began to build the longer he stayed under, as he became more panicked by the increasing fear that he might drown. His vision began to swim black at the edges, and his thoughts started to go hazy; the strength started to leave his already uncoordinated movements. Finally, his body forced him to let out whatever was in his lungs, or he would pass out from lack of air. When the hacking cough came out, Atticus’ entire field of vision started to go dark as he thought he would start taking in water.

What happened next surprised him.

The immediate moment that he had released all of the air in his lungs, the blackness in his vision started to fade, and Atticus found that he did not feel the compulsion to breathe at all. He felt a kind of warmth creep through his limbs, and the oxygen-deprived twitching of his body began to stop. The longer he held still, the more he improved, until it seemed as though his body had returned to what felt like a normal state. He still felt incredibly weak, having not yet recovered from the sheer terror, but finally, a logical train of thought returned. He began to slowly twitch, as he maneuvered himself so that he was floating in what felt like a horizontal position, finding that his tail was highly effective for this.

More rationality returning, he felt highly restricted by his clothing, and became aware of Henry in his vision, watching him, although it was now somewhat difficult to see, as he did not need his heavily tinted lenses in his creature form. He shook himself a bit, trying to dispel the nervous weakness in his limbs, and he began to adjust to the fact that he could actually breathe in the water. He first removed his dark lenses, taking them off of his face, where they were now rather ill-fitting, and folded them up, searching, and then finally managing to slide them into an empty pocket on his jeans, which did not fit properly now that he had sprouted a tail. He also curled into a position that would have been impossible for a regular human, and removed his socks and shoes, looking with a hint of distain at the socks, which had been torn up by his claws, although the shoes themselves were fine.

Atticus stuffed the ruined socks inside of each shoe, and then proceeded to double-knot the laces together, before wrapping them around his left hand, so that he wouldn’t lose them. Once this had been done, he started to swim away from where he had landed, using his tail and moving in a distinctly eel-like fashion, although there was also a strange twitching to his fin-like limbs that one would find distinctly eerie. He briefly considered leaving the water, and this was indicated when he looked towards the surface, but after pondering, he thought against it. He was thinking more calmly, now, but he had little doubt that it had been Codi who had pushed him over the cliff. People couldn’t see beneath the white waters, and Atticus knew she would probably grow upset the longer he stayed under, keeping any sort of evidence of whether or not he had survived a secret. It was true that she had been right about his powers, but Atticus wouldn’t let her know she had been correct, just yet, because he still couldn’t believe she had tried to drown him in the first place. He really didn’t know what he should say to her, either. He supposed he had already forgiven her, because he had actually lived, but at the same time, if he hadn’t been able to breathe underwater, what then?

Swimming deeper into the water, he changed direction and went up to Henry, his face blank and difficult to read. He pointed with one hand up towards the surface, to indicate his friend, tilting his head slightly to one side, as though asking a question. It should have been obvious that he was asking if Codi had told him she was going to push him over the falls. Atticus wanted to know if Henry had been an accomplice or not. If the faculty had been involved, that might give him a better idea of what he should say to Codi whenever he decided to come out of the water. He knew she was probably breaking down and crying, even though Atticus was the one who had experienced what he perceived had been a life-or-death situation. He had already decided, though, that if Codi had ideas, he should make sure to never take them as lightly as he had used to. She had been after him for a long time to make him do what he was doing now; he hadn’t thought she would go to crazy lengths, but she had.

Meanwhile, Codi, who was for the most part hysterical, now, had been staring down into the water, and finally backed away from it, feeling sick from the extreme crushing guilt that she had just shoved her friend over a cliff. Had he drowned, or was he intentionally doing this to punish her? Henry would have pulled him out by now, had he not been able to breath down there. He must have done it, then, but he wasn’t coming up. He was probably furious at her; she was sure she would have been herself, had she been forced to go through something as traumatizing as thinking she was about to drown and die.

She was pulled out of these self-pitying and worried thoughts, though, when she heard a strange, echoing cry coming from somewhere. It was weird, but she wasn’t incapable of looking in the direction of the sound. When she did, she saw Dana rocking back and forth on the ground, without her wheelchair, and looking just as hysterical as Codi felt. She immediately felt her concern, though, shift to the person she was capable of engaging in contact with.

“Dana!” She cried, having managed to remember her name because of word-rhymes and the distinct features of a person that she could recall more easily. She ran over, “Oh, dear! What happened!? I just pushed Atticus over a cliff and…What happened to you? Are you okay? Where’s your wheelchair?!” Her words didn’t make much sense, but it was a heavy mix of worry for Dana, along with the sheer stunned shock and disbelief at her own actions. “I’m so sorry, are you alright?” She thought she was about to break down crying again.

Deborah Termellio, Shannon Balore, & "Pink" Vincigarru

Oh joy, the glorious Mystery Hunters are out for their first endeavor. Shannon rolled her eyes, wondering if this was how she thought her day would go. Surrounded by people she would probably come to hate... She sighed, and took off her glasses. A piece of her dress came up and wiped her glasses clean, sliding them back on slowly. Her brown eyes shifted from one part of the group to the other. This group had plenty of people (Those she knew, and those she didn't). The only issue she saw (Other than the fact she's here) was the fact they're an enormous group, going out into the jungle, which just so happens to be a very illegal place. One teacher spots them, and the jig is up.

"This whole trip is cute and all," Shannon started off, crossing her arms and putting her weight onto one hip. "But, don't you think that a gigantic group like ours would be noticed by anyone?" She was being informative this time around, rather than overly critical.

Actually, Shannon has a point. Their group was excessively large (In hindsight, next time she wouldn't bring so many people along), and she could count all the staff with powers that are telepathic or extra-sensory in nature. One thought and the whole plan falls apart. "You're right, Silkworm, you should take some people with you, and I'll lead a group there."

... Okay, not what I had in mind. Shannon groaned. She didn't want to separate from Deborah, and be left alone with them. "... And why me?" She rolled her eyes.

"Because. You know your way around the school, and I can trust you to do it." Deborah gave Shannon a smirk.

Shannon smiled back, "Fine. Let's go."

The two girls lead their two groups in separate paths. It was simple as it got.

Deborah's group were in the jungle in no time, she kept her eyes and ears open, just in case something was going to attack them. Even going through the jungle wasn't as simple as she thought it was. Deborah suddenly stopped, no warning, she just stopped in her progress. She got that funny feeling, the one that told her that something wasn't right. Problem came when she couldn't put her finger on it. What was triggering this? Usually she got something more concrete... but this time it was just pure maliciousness, nothing else. Leading the group had to come second, Deborah largely disconnected herself from everyone else. Focusing on those thoughts whirling around in her head. Her eyes wandered around, desperately looking for something. Every sound, every smell... It told her nothing. What the hell is it? Deborah thought to herself for a split second. Maybe there was something going on here that she wasn't aware of. She just couldn't put her finger on. Still, not knowing what the hell it is gave her anxiety.

"'Ey, you okay there, Captain?" Pink had coiled her tail around herself, and looked at Deborah. Though, she could only really smell her and hear her... she noticed a rather drastic change in emotions. Her heartbeat had sped up, she could smell the sweat she gave off.

Deborah gave Pink an aside glace. "Yeah... It's nothing." I'm not okay. There's something pure evil going on here and I just don't know it yet. None of us do. The thoughts rolled through Deborah's mind as she stopped looking around. She put herself at ease... Tried to, at least. The best she could do was keep those thoughts from intruding into her head. Was it stupid to ignore such an incredible feeling? Maybe, maybe it is. But Deborah didn't know what to do at this point other than keep going, and hope that it's all just benign (But where has hope gotten you, Deborah).

"Let's... just keep moving." Deborah began pacing towards the shipwreck, going there fast as possible.

It was a rather long walk, but hell, it paid off in the end. Deborah's group reached the beach where the famed shipwrecks were. They walked up on the beach, and came in clear view of the three cruise ships. It was obviously evident that the ships were here for decades at least. They were horribly eroded, and falling to pieces (One of them literally were in pieces). One ship was turned on it's side, another was straight up, and the last one had fallen to pieces - That last one had to be the one which Chris crashed. All of them were some distance out into the water.

"Looks like this is the place...." Deborah held off on scanning the place... She was still being nagged by that feeling in her head. She just couldn't focus, at least not without Shannon to be the shoulder she cries on.

Pink could sense the ocean. Hear the waves slam up against the beach, and smell the fresh ocean air. It was just something else. She walked up into the sand, and dragged her tail along the sand. Creating a trail to where she stopped. Maybe this shipwreck place might not be so bad after all.  Maybe she might want to head off and explore it. Though she couldn't really see it worth shit, she sensed through the water. She did a sweeping motion with her hands, and she altered the waves accordingly. They seemingly "followed" her motions, giving her a good idea of what the ships looked like. Until she stopped, and the waves didn't move an inch, then returned to normal. She crossed her arms, and wrapped her tail around herself. "This place might be fun, don't ya' think, Ben?" Her bestial eyes peered towards him, she could see him better up close than far away. "Maybe I might stick around for a bit after all... But if you excuse me...." Pink still had the dilemma of the sand to deal with - She also just liked being in the water. Pink quickly ran up to the beach, and jumped into the water. She let the water go under her bikini and wash all this nasty sand away. Pink also felt extremely powerful while in the water... A feeling she hated giving up.

It wasn't long before the group Shannon lead showed up too - Though Deborah didn't give her time to even look around. Second Shannon showed up, Deborah was already walking towards her, she pulled her by the wrist and they disappeared into the treeline. Only saying, "We need to talk."

Once they were a good distance away from the group, Deborah had pushed Shannon gently against a tree by the shoulders. Looking her square in the eyes, her look was longing. Shannon looked uncomfortable, her eyes had wandered around towards her feet, like she was avoiding eye contact. Of course, Shannon was one-hundred-percent fine with Deborah swinging her around like this. If she wasn't, she sure as hell wouldn't let her do it.

"Debs..." Shannon asked, her voice was low. "What's wrong? You're actin-"

"T-tha-that's the problem!" Deborah was now alone, with the one person she trusted most on this island. She could spill some secrets of her own to Shannon. "I sense something is wrong here, something terrible, and it's killing me because I don't know what the hell it is. I can't help but act strange. It's just... Killing me!" While she spoke, she had shook Shannon... Giving her an empty look before breaking contact. She paced around in a circle for a moment, grabbed on to the side of her head.

"Debby..." Shannon didn't know what to say. She'd never seen Deborah get this stressed over anything, and honestly didn't know how to handle it. If Debby's premonitions meant what she thinks it does, they're in trouble. Shannon quickly bounced off the tree, and walked over to Deborah, grabbing her by the hands. "You have to get it together." Shannon started off, "Whatever is wrong here... We will get to the bottom of it. You must not kill yourself worrying over it."

"I... guess you're right." Deborah held onto Shannon tightly.

"I know I am," Shannon started off, "C'mon, let's go solve this mystery, my Secret Keeper, then we can get the hell out of here."

Deborah didn't hesitate to give Shannon a, long, affectionate peck on the lips. Before they walked back to the school, holding hands side by side... Until they came within sight of the group, that's when Deborah latched off, making Shannon rather hurt.
Valjean Vaseal.

... Thought I smelled filth. Valjean had already hardened his skin over his hands with tan chitin. He had finally pursued Pink and saw her in a large group... With his girl. There had to be like ten other guys with her, including his handy room mate. Valjean was furious right now. She's going on some sort of adventure without him? With a bunch of guys, and that nobody dyke Shannon? Fuck that. Valjean was going to tail them. See what they're up to... Of course, that might not work as well as he planned given Deborah's abilities. But, what if he keeps his distance? Yeah, that'll definitely work. He lifted up his foot and slammed it into the ground, and sensed the vibrations as they traveled through the ground. He sensed their vibrations and caught their scent.

Tracking them would be easy.
Dana Lucille Alcott

Dana had to silently say "Thank you." to Codi for just looking at her. Dana instantly changed back the moment Codi laid eyes on her. She wouldn't even notice the difference. Dana stopped rocking back and forth... You're a big girl now, you can't just keep shutting off. She let out a sigh, and tried to compose herself, she has a question to answer, after all. She tried to seem adjusted as she could. "Me and Asae went looking for Matt, we got attacked, and, and.... " The incident flashed before her eyes. The bear attacking them, and the injury she sustained... with the phantom pain still looming - Even after she had healed it. It absolutely reversed everything that she was trying to accomplish. She absolutely panicked, holding back a scream. "Please God, just get Henry! I need him!"

Red Winston, Christopher Fox & Victoria LaRouse

Chris was reclutant to follow the group to the shipwreck, because of everything that happened there over a decade ago. He did plan to go there and pay his respects to the people that died there - it was the least he could do - but he didn't plan to go there so soon. His hand trembled from anxiety and he was faintly sweating. He closed his eyes and felt the breeze touch his face to calm down. He realized that, sooner or later, he would have to go to the shipwreck, so he opened his eyes and braced himself for the moment they would arrive at the place he hated the most. He wondered if anything had changed since back then. If the ship he destroyed was still there, or if Dellamore had covered the incident. After all, Dellamore could possibly cover this - or any- incident happening inside the Academy with incredible efficiency, which made Chris curious about their lil' old principal, one of the reasons he joined the Mystery Hunters.

Victoria, who was with Chris from the get go noticed his changed expression, but decided to not ask about it, although she would usually ask to help. Chris expression had a deeper sorrow she could not comprehend, but she could feel it was something overly personal, something that he could share only if he felt like doing so and not because he was asked. However, she did guess that it had something to do with the shipwreck, because it was since it was mentioned that they would go there that Chris' expression changed. Victoria didn't know much about the shipwreck herself, what happened over there really disgusted her to the point that she considered using her powers to move the ships away, piece by piece. Maybe there was a monster or something that scared Chris inside and Victoria would be glad to smack it one.

Red on the other hand was not so sure about Deborah's intentions to their little expedition in the shipwreck. Red clearly remembered Amanda telling him about the shipwreck being a place for students to gather and illicit activites happening, so, since students were already visiting the place before their group, it was safe to assume that, if anything was on the shipwreck, Deborah would already know about it. He decided to keep his thoughts to himself, though, since he decided from way before that he would let Deborah lead the group. She was capable and he believed that she would know where the group should go and look for clues about their quest.

Unexpectedly, when the time to seperate came, Red decided to go with Shannon, maybe because he hoped to establish some solid contact with her, but to no avail. He didn't have much to say to Shannon, she didn't trust him after all and he was uneasy about it, because he knew that internal conflict always led to no good. On the other hand, Chris and Victoria followed Deborah's group, because Victoria insisted on following her beloved, messy roommate. Without much to say, the group once again united before the shipwreck, which gave a chill to Chris the moment he saw it. The ship he destroyed was there too.

"Fucking Dellamore...How can you have the ship around, without giving proper explanations about what happened?", Chris said to himself.

Chris' expression confirmed Victoria's thought about the shipwreck causing him to feel stressed. Red did notice Chris' behavior too, but was more interested in Shannon and Deborah moving away. He didn't follow them, of course, but he knew that something was off. Something that one of them had to discuss personally with the other, but he had no idea who it was, or what did they want to discuss. Everything was fine from their group, so it was most possibly Deborah that wanted to say something to Shannon, but everyone on the other group was fine, except, of course, from Chris. He tried to understand what was going on, but stopped as soon as the duo came back. Clearing as much as he could from his previously well-polished shoes, he decided to take the lead and go to the shipwreck. Being in the front would make it easier to see and spot things that would interest him, since his field of vision would not be obscured by the others.

"I'm going in..." Red simply said, passing the others the torch to do the same.

Mark

Mark tended to add artificial pauses to his sentences to ensure he wasn't speaking too quickly and to not give off the impression he could come up with answers immediately. That would give the assumption that he was more intelligent than he actually was, as his responses would be well thought out before others could even acknowledge questions. It was a habit by now, and as he was questioned by these two people, they prevented him from being able to speak; they would talk before he would open his mouth.

Not that it mattered too much. In the end, he didn't need to say anything. One of these two girls was obviously interested in company, while the other was much more suspicious. However, they seemed to be close, and the social girl won the battle of wills. To what end was uncertain, but Mark was sure it wasn't his smile that did the convincing. He'd keep his guard up for now.

One guy was slightly shivering, which didn't inspire much confidence. From the glance he gave him though, it was from a completely different reason all together. No further attention was given to him on the way there; he would find out sooner or later.

He followed them on through to the wall, and out into a jungle and they split into two groups to avoid being spotted. Mark knew that what he was about to do was not likely to be approved by staff, but he didn't really care. He came to this island specifically to do things like this; to do something memorable. He was growing anxious, although his power could help him to mask his emotions. He utilised it now to calm himself down in a halted world. Following with Shannon, Mark proceeded showing no signs of hesitation. His expression and body language was that of curious indifference. The others didn't seem to have this skill, as the guy from earlier with the strange name, Red, definitely had things on his mind. Whether it was related to the previous conversation or their destination was uncertain. Again, he would probably find out sooner or later.

They arrived and met up at a great shipwreck. Mark caught the muttering of the other unnamed boy with attentive ears, and saw those two girls walk off suddenly. One seemed to be suffering from a headache of sorts.

He opened his mouth, ready to make some form of statement, but was interrupted by Red.

"I'm going in."

This seemed to be becoming a theme.

"..Alright, in we go then."

Mark followed after the guy who wasn't a murderer, briefly pondering how having that information would affect him further down the road...

Jake, & Gabriela Valos, Sylvia Bertoose, Abraham Gene, Vespera Spindel, & Adam Blackmore. - Leonerdo, Mr Allen J, and True Night collaboration

Sheesh, it's about time. No slower could Abraham say "fuck off", they had and went done just that. What were their names? Ben something or another that rhymed with "Hoss" - Bitch Hoss - and some fish bitch. He didn't get hers. Quite frankly, their names weren't even worth remembering. He rolled his eyes around and cracked open the top of the Sprite can with the tab and guzzled away at the effervescent drink. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't find time to enjoy even that. The subject of ridicule just prior to the passing of the two nobodies had decided that she wanted to step up her game and use him as her stepping stone. Oh, hell no.

He belched out loudly, aiming his head toward the air before facing Vespera as though he were half-asleep and, ultimately, uninterested. "Bitch," he started saying in a mock southern drawl, smacking his tongue against the roof of his mouth, taking in all the flavor from the remaining soda in his mouth, "that's some mighty big talk for someone who just got their ass burnt by a half-pint."

"I take it you're new here, you and her both." Vespera scoffed. "If that's a burn, I want see some flames. Anyone can shit talk, few can back it up." She forced a yawn, then she shook her head as if she was startled awake. "Oh wait, looks like she skedaddled."

Her reassessment of the situation proved to be accurate. This guy was just looking to be taken down a notch. If things continued at this rate she'd be happy to oblige. One way or another she'd get what she wanted out of the situation.

"You care to take her place?" she hissed. "Or are going to run off too? I'd hope not because everyone else is dreadfully boring." That was her way of a subtle compliment. For now she refrained from any direct insults, but she sure as hell wasn't going to let him show her up. As far as she was concerned they could jump right into a more casual conversation. It ultimately depended on his pride. Of course she was assessing him regardless which path this took. The headstrong ones were the most satisfying to bring to their knees.

Stars and garters, this one's grating. Not in the sense of, "haha, wow, that's annoyingly clever", Abraham was getting irritated by the amount of bottom-feeders that thought they were tough shit and decided that out of all people, it had to be him they had to pester. Like, he knew a bunch of pisshead try-hards back in Boston. Right around when he won some credibility in those fights (which isn't quite an effective form of measuring time; he made a splash the night he jumped in!), some nobodies wanted a piece of him! One punch and they were out! Just like that! There was something of a deja'vu effect in that regard. Needless to say, she had the audacity to come in like she was worth something!

"Yeah, and something tells me you're used to backing up the shitter, right?" Abe snorted. He set the Sprite down on the floor an stood up straight to his full height, taking two locks of his dreadlocks and pulling back his full head of hair into a ponytail. "Listen cunt, I don't gotta try anything. I know the difference between a lost cause and someone with a semblence of a possibility of a chance that they might know what the fuck they're doing or what the fuck they're talking about."

He gave her a pause for dramatic effect, as well as squinty eyes and a sarcastic smile.

"I ain't gonna be teaching you jack-shit because I've seen cleverer piles of garbage in a back alley than whatever that piss-smeared, asshole-scented lump of rat poison mounted upon a limpy ten year old plastic sack of hotdog meat of a body that you call a mother fucking face."

Given the stretch of the tirade given, he presented a single finger, raised as to suggest that he wasn't finished. He bent over and grasped the Sprite, taking a couple sips of it. After setting it down, let out a refreshed sigh. He looked back at Vespera, appearing thoroughly satisfied and smug as he dusted off his clothes and straightened his shirt.

"...sayeth the raven." Abe finished slowly. "It'd be a waste of time to tango with a starved little girl when I've got bigger fish to fry."

There was one more brief moment of silence, broken by Abe as he sniffed, and brushed his nose with his finger as he nodded his head toward nowhere particular, satisfied. "Yeah... that went pretty well. Was waiting to use that one."

Vespera stared intently at Abe. She was paying less attention to what he was saying, and more to how he was saying it. Everything but the words themselves, because frankly if she started respond to everything he just said, she'd snap his neck before she was halfway through. Were this any other place it could have been over before he lowered his pop. That was actually the part that bugged her the most. That this guy had some nerve to let his guard down so easily before her. Try that anywhere else... see where it gets you. She silently prompted him. Here in front of all these people, the first one to strike lost. Still, there wasn't as big of a disconnect between his verbal and nonverbal messages as she expected. Which meant he actually meant what he said. To an extent. Even then he was more than likely delusional.

The comment about her face was laughably juvenile, and she didn't restrain herself from letting him know. She threw back her head and cackled, momentarily ignoring him all together. Not something she did often. She rarely took her eyes off a target, but this one was particularly amusing to her. Really anyone that filled their language with profanity out of lack of wit. Here he was doing exactly what she had been talking about. Swinging some rather hefty words around, but in reality flapping his gums with nothing to show for it.

When he finished up Vespera clapped slowly. "Bravo, bravo. That was quite the onslaught." If you were a kiddie. "I'll have you know I wasn't trying to be clever, and spiel of yours was anything but."

She fluttered her eyelashes at him, clasped her hands together, and titled her head. The note he ended on wasn't half bad sounding. If she was seen as being young and nonthreatening, all the more power to her when something did go down. She had warned him. No reason to follow up with how "big and bad" she was. Such things were determined in the arena. She particularly liked how he seemed to be seeking confirmation on how "creative" his slander was.

"Deary me if you came up with any of that ahead of time." If that was true then his words had just lost the last ounce of credibility they held. Preparing something like that for somebody he hadn't met was beyond her. Insults should be tailored to their recipients so the had a noticeable effect. "I'm flattered you chose me to test it on all the same." Vespera added with a smirk.

Abraham leaned back and feigned a yawn - feigning which, that had brought a honest-to-goodness yawn - and was clearly unentertained by Vespera's remarks. Man, this girl (if she could even be called that) wasn't even trying. She was just lukewarm air coming around to not only waste his time, but to bore him while she's as it. He downed the rest of his soda can and crushed it with ease between his hands, before giving it a practiced backwards toss into a trash can in the corner as though it were a basketball court. He looked back to Vespera with an unimpressed glance.

"If ya ain't gonna try to be clever, you're wasting both our times and I gotta wonder what the point of all this was if not to bore me." He said.

"It's the first day of school, one doesn't need an invitation to make small talk. Or would you have me believe that you were more entertained twiddling your thumbs alone?" Vespera raised her hand and turned away in gesture discrediting any possibility of that. Then she turned towards him and inched a little closer. Her heels gave her a smidge of height over him.

"I'm Vespera, by the way." She allowed a hiatus to let it sink in. They'd be at it long enough that this numb-skull should know who he was dealing with.

"It's awfully vain of you to assume that others are here for your sake. I for one got a kick out of that if you didn't." She leaned forward and made a smooching sound with her lips. "Thanks for being a dear, but if you insist I could always leave you with the likes of them." With her arm she made a sweeping motion encompassing the front of the lounge. It so happened that Sylvia, the one eyed chick from the table the other day and some pretty boy had just walked in. Not that it changed anything.

A large portion of the populace fell under weak, uninteresting prey. Some of which wouldn't even have a chance to squirm should they find themselves on her bad side. Vespera liked a little struggle, which is why she was taking a chance with this new guy. There were indeed others (she knew of) that could give her a run for her money, though that wouldn't be half as thrilling. She needed a new plaything from time to time, and he might just make the cut.

"Oh please," Abraham drawled, "everyone else here is background, you ain't an exception to that. I'll probably forget about everyone in, say... the morning! New day, another page."

At her sweeping motion, he lazily glanced toward the entrance, looking away from Vespera. The slow, agonizing pace of the pathetic excuse of the "conversation" becoming brain-scratchingly boring and droll. Out he corner of his eye he saw a familiar sight. 'What? Naw, naw, can't be.' He craned his head around even more, now entirely distracted from his "conversational partner", as his attention was caught by a different party. Right around over there, by the entrance. 'Are those the Valos kids?'

"... And then there's Karlie. You guys will love her! She's just like me!" Sylvia said to her two friends as they, as a trio, walked into the student lounge.

Gabe had her hands in the pockets of her leather jacket. She had her eye closed, and shook her head. "... And yer' actin' like that's a good thing. One loud fucker is enough for the world." Gabe gave Sylvia a smirk from the side. Continuing her stride. She stopped near the entrance and took a look around... Fuck, can't see that well. She thought to herself. She nudged Jake with an elbow, and hissed, "Hey, Jakey, ya got four-eyes, take a look around if you can see anyone we know. I wanna have this beach party."

"Haha... Real funny." Jake rolled his eyes at the four-eyes comment. Jake took a look around for Gabe, since apparently she couldn't get Sylvia to look around for them. He nodded his head and observed. Yup, not a single person they care about in here. There was that emo chick - Jake was honestly surprised she isn't cutting herself right now! - and Abe... Hey, hey, hey, what the fuck? Jake had to take a double take. He stared at the tall fellow, and got a good look at him. Please god, don't let it be this big stony fucker. ANYONE but him. Things were starting to add up. Tall, African-American, muscular... Superficial charm as always. Oh boy. Just when Jake thought this school was starting to look alright, they have to take a swing at him and add this tool to the mix. "Gabe, we're going to want to leave here. Very fast."

Gabe gave Jake the dryest of all glares. "... Why? We just got here." She wanted to enjoy this lounge. She got an elbow from Jake, who directed her at him. All she had to do is take one look before she saw him. Gabe's expression had turned to a comical fit of anger, and she was almost about to froth at the mouth. "F-f-f-fuck that!" She was just about to turn out and leave.

"... Friend of yours?" Sylvia says with a shit-eating-grin. She had already pulled her guitar out, and strummed it slightly.

"Worse. He's the biggest jackass we ever met." Jake continued.

"Worse than even Johnny?" Sylvia asked, laughing quietly.

"Worse, he doesn't even have the heart Johnny has...." Gabe continued. "Last time I saw his bitch-ass, I was this close to splattering him against the wall."

"Oooooh, nice. Can't wait to meet him." Sylvia sarcastically says.

"... I think it's best that we turn away, and never show up here again...." Jake's eyes widened.

"Agreed." Gabe added.

"Awwwwwww.... Not even dick with him, a little?" Sylvia gave them puppy eyes. "You all seem to have such a rich history.... Wouldn't you want to get back at him for all the hell... I guess he gave you?"

"Rather not..." Jake started taking steps towards the exit.

Well talk about a blast from the past.

Jake was always something of a little runt in Abe's eyes who was, quite frankly, eternally astonished by how he has yet to be mistaken for a girl and get gang-banged by a bunch of sex-deprived street thugs. Or maybe he has! It's been a while, after all. By no means was Abe a fan of him or his little magic fingers, but damn, he sure was fun to fuck with. But last time... last time he left on a bad note. What was it, then? Oh, right. The shoes. Jaska. That little cretin...

He turned about and faced Vespera, giving her an insincere, cheeky smile. "Oh, I'd [looove to stay and chat, but I've got business. Be a doll for me, dear, and twerk off in the other direction."

Without so much as a warning, he spun around facing towards the lounge's exit and seemingly forgetting all about Vespera and the painful conversation he just had with her. His strut resembled something of a march as he made a beeline towards the newcomers. Two he recognized. One was a stranger. A hot stranger. Hell yeah.

"Oh, fuck that!" He called out from the other side of the room as Abe pressed on. He didn't look or sound necessarily happy. "Fuck that!"

He took a look at Gabe off to the side and a gleaming white smile stretched from cheek to cheek as he said with a wink, "'eyyy, fuck that."

It wasn't the smoothest line, of course. He gave up ages ago of the hope of actually getting in her pants, but he still had to hit on her when given the opportunity. He looked back at Jake as he closed in for the last stretch of distance between them. His face went back to stern and he crossed his arm, and his next swear was less drawn out and more of a statement than anything else. "Fuck that. What're you doing here, playground bitch?"

Abe closed the distance, still tossing insults and whatnot. Jake closed his eyes and sighed. Some things just never change. He shook his head. They have to deal with this jackass now. Well, maybe they'll a little bit of fun. "... You wish, Gene." Jake responded to all those loud and obscene 'Fuck that' comments. He smirked, narrowing his eyes at Abe.

Gabe shown a complete apathy towards Abe. This guy was not worth her time. That attempt at a flirt made Gabe close her eyes, and let her tongue flop out like she was disgusted. She reverted back to a more angered expression, furling her brows, narrowing her eyes, and staring him straight in the face. She has had up to here with Abe's shit over the years, and the little incident with Jaska really left her itchin' to finish was too big of a bitch to finish. Gabe laughed, and spoke to him in a mocking tone, "What are we doing here...? Oh, das' a good question, with an even better answer. What we're not doing is pissing our little pantyhose over a shitty shoe we dug outta the donation bin." Gabe wasn't making any attempts not to antagonize him. Because he came over here talking his shit.

While Gabe and Jake responded in their own, special ways, Sylvia looked on with a face of pure sadistic glee. This 'Abe' guy sure as hell was loud. Swearing like a ten year old out of sight of his parents. Sylvia, in her two years coming here, seen this kind of guy before. She thought it'd be fun to take him down a peg or two. She blinked, and she activated her sound wave vision. She focused on Abe's voice, and changed it around a little bit. She changed his voice from deep, and raspy, to very high-pitched. Sylvia had to refrain from laughing - that'd give it away! - because she wanted to see if he'd catch on. She kept that same grin on her face the whole time, unchanging.

"Get real, Valos." Abe scoffed. Something felt off - strange, even. Something wasn't right. No, no... it couldn't be. He had to be imagining things. His voice wasn't all weird, was it? "Your spine gave out ages ago!"

Both Gabe and Jake started laughing, because Abe just sounded so cute shit-talking at such a high-pitched voice. Not that they took him seriously to begin with.

Here came the moment Vespera was waiting for. The chance to find out something. It was irritating to have her target walk away without giving her some insight as to their place in the natural order. He even lacked the decency to give her his name. That alone was reason enough for her to slowly make her way over to where she could listen in. She picked a science magazine from a small table laid back in a nearby armchair that wasn't directly facing him. In case he turned around or anyone else cared to challenge her.

Vespera was taken aback by the pipsqueak voice. For once Sylvia was doing something she approved of. It could have been somebody else's doing, but it wasn't likely. She might have laughed to spite him, but she didn't want to draw any attention to herself.

No, something was definitely wrong here. His smug face had contorted into an unimpressed and rather annoyed expression. Okay, firstly, Jake didn't have the balls to stand up to him! Not like that at least. Any attempt at embarrassment would be repaid in full and multiplied by ten! Such was the way of the nuclear theory. But sound was something he didn't recall little magician boy doing. At least, not well. Hips-don't-lie off to the side was just a flashy lightshow. Unfortunately she didn't exactly flash a whole lot. He looked from Jake and over to Sylvia, overlooking Gabe as irrelevant to the current thought process in his brain at the moment. He finger landed on Sylvia.

"You..." He murmured snidely. "Bet you think you're being real fuckin' cute, princess."

"Oooooh, how'd you know? I never pegged you as the perceptive type." Sylvia put her hand over her mouth, gasped comically, and widened her eyes. All sarcastically. Maybe she should give Abe some credence. Usually big old apes like him didn't catch on until it was right in front of them! She wasn't too interested in this back and forth, because, hell, she does this with the likes of Vespera and Valjean all the damn time. Everyone needs a change of pace. Sylvia thought to herself. "Looks like the jig is up!" She threw her hands up, and let Abe's voice go back to normal.... But, that wasn't the end of it. She wouldn't leave here until this guy was furious, and she has an easy way to do that.

"Oh, you know," Abe started saying, returning the sarcasm, "you just seemed the type to make a lot of fun noises."

It was something of an art, Abe noted, conjoining banter and flirting.

"Yes, we find her quite adorable, Gene." Gabe added on, shrugging. This wasn't really her thing, honestly, it was just a dick measuring contest. Let's see who can insult the other better, everyone! Pointless. Bullshit. "Look here, I don't really care for all this jawin' going on." Gabe closed her eyes, crossing her arms, "I got betta' things to do than talk shit to you..." She shook her head. "Because, at the end of da day; words are words. They have as much meaning as you want them to." Of course, if Abraham wanted to throw down, then she's all for it. Gabe wanted to see the look on his face when he realizes that she can break stone...

Though, Gabe doesn't have a reason for sticking around here. There wasn't a thing keeping her here. "I'm out." Gabe took steps back towards the exit. "I'm going to go do something better, like go watch paint dry." Gabe was gone, but before she left, she gestured for Sylvia and Jake to come along.

"Sayonara," Abraham droned monotonically. She had a rockin' body, but the personality of the bastard son between cardboard and sandpaper. His eyes lingered on the door for a moment before the moved back between Jake and Sylvia. When his eyes were on Sylvia for a mere moment, he smirked, and looked back to Jake with his eyes trained on him and unblinking. Sylvia seemed like the sort of "don't really give a shit" kind of gal. Looked great. Had a personality. Aha, yeah! That seems like it would be fun! She wasn't afraid to fuck with him, which would probably get a little annoying... but hell! Let's make it exciting. Gabe wasn't here, so that was one less obstacle.

Well, Sylvia was getting bored, and hell, honestly, all this chatter was going to get old fast. This guy looks fun to screw with, buuuut, Jake might be more fun in this situation. With Gabe gone... now was Sylvia's opportunity to instigate a fight between the two. Just to get some entertainment out of this. Of course, since it's the first day, once the staff gets involved they're going to flip their shit. Well, that isn't going to be her ass getting spanked...

... Thooooooough, I'm not saying I wouldn't like that prospect.

Abraham set his hands on his waist and raised his head as he looked at the ceiling. "Well!" He announced. He sounded chipper, uncharacteristically so, given the situation he was currently in with Jake. "This is a little boring. Let's try something different!"

Without so much as a warning, his straight legs dropped down into a crouch-like stance, and his right arm, which was previously set on his waist, was launched forward in a tightly curled fist. No stone or rock, but pure flesh and bone, as his mind was dead on setting Jake straight the old-fashioned way.

"Yo!" Jake shouted loudly. He threw his arm up in an attempt to block, but it still hurt like all hell. It sent him stumbling back a few steps, leaving him trying to regain his balance. Though, he was quick to do so, he used a table as support, and looked up at Abe with his brows furled. He honestly didn't see this coming... Well, it wasn't too much of a surprise that Abe was being a jackass, but attacking him like this (In a crowded room too!)? He didn't know if Abe was just stupid, or trying to prove something... The latter seemed more apparent because he didn't use any stone. Thank. God. That would have snapped his arm clean in half. Still, a punch from a regular old fist nearly knocked him over. Abe was a powerhouse, where Jake was just a pretty-boy. He needed to come up with something to avoid getting his face smashed in.

Jake's eyes quickly scanned the table. There was a open can of coke left on it. He got an idea actually. He just needed Abe to get close... "What is it, Gene!? Can't get rock-hard for me!?"

"Scary black man!" Taking a few steps back, grabbing onto that guitar she had around her back. She wanted a fight, and hell, she just got one! She wanted to see if ol' Jakey could hold his own (Which she doubted). She could help him, but this was something that they needed to sort out. Though, if it looked too bad for Jake, she would step in. The best she could do was shoot him across the room. No way in hell she's going to even try to take that in a fist fight. Time to spectate! Sylvia smirked, then loudly screamed, "Guys, hold up!" She put up a finger, "Let me provide some fitting fighting music!" Sylvia started madly strumming on her guitar.

Where did Jake even find this chick? Exciting and plays music? Now they've got common ground. Jake managed to react fast enough, but Abe still felt a firm connection. It was first against forearm. He shook the stinging out of his fist and paced forward to close the distance. "Come on Valos!" He taunted in return. "You can't even fight back!

That's what you think. Thank God Abe was predictable. In a swift action, Jake grabbed the can of coke and splashed it directly into Abe's face. That would (hopefully) serve as a distraction! Jake didn't think too hard about this - giant man trying to beat the living daylights out of him tends to cause that - but he threw a punch aimed at Abe's throat hard as he could.

Abraham was caught by surprise. His face twisted up and winced at the sudden splash of sticky cold soda hit him. As he brought his hand to his face to wipe the shit off, he felt a punch clip his arm and hit his collar bone, there being a milder amount of pain than what Jake was probably hoping for. What the hell! Playing dirty? That was just like Boston! His turf! That little shit doesn't know what's coming to him if he's gonna start playing that way!

'Wow, that felt great.' Jake thought. Just hitting Abe and giving it to him for all that shit he's been dishing out over the years. He wants to do that again!

Abe took his hands from his face and took advantage of his offset balance and extended arm. Abe right hand came around Jake and tightly grabbed his hair and pulled it back to gain control (though he can't take too much credit; it was more improvised than planned [and not to imply that Jake's hair is "control"]), and was intending on landing a good solid knee straight to Jake's chest.

'Oh bullshit!' Jake just got this done before he got here! He only tried thrashing to get out of his grasp, he knew Abe was going to follow it up with a brutal blow. He grabbed onto Abe's hands to try to pry them free... That probably wasn't going to work at all. Fuck it. He had no choice here. He pulled back hard as he could- and this was going to hurt like hell in the morning -to the point where his hair ripped off his head. Jake screeched a high-pitched wail out of pain. Abe's hands were full of his beautiful hair... and some of that hair had pieces of his scalp at the end. Jake was going to regret this one, oh boy. Abe could win this fight by pulling out a mirror!

Abe was put off-balance from the inertia and staggered to the side as Jake ripped himself free from his grip. There was just a moment of confusion where Abe looked at his hand to see what was there, and found just a patch of the yuppy's hair! What the hell! He seriously didn't expect this grade-A puss to go so far as that! It must have been the fear. He did still find the satisfaction in Jake's wailing

Jake's head stung like hell, and there were some blood dripping off his head... but at least he didn't give Abe the satisfaction of landing a blow on him! Though he's probably laughing his ass off because his hairdo most likely looks god awful. Still, he had a fight to win (Or lose horribly) here. There was no way in hell he could take Abe directly. He had to come up with something. Jake's eyes quickly scanned the room. Of course, a weapon! This room was full of them. Jake grabbed the chair, and took many steps back. Holding the chair, and not letting Abe out of his sight. He was on the defensive here. He needed to assess the situation, and respond accordingly.

Abe continued forward, noting the chair and approaching with care. His eyes were trained on him, and he smirked. Man, he was waiting to kick his ass again for a while!

"The real world is a scary place! Ain't it, Valos?" He taunted loudly as he neared closer. When Jake took the chair and swung it around to strike Abe with it, he darted in closer and grabbed it by the backrest, using Jake's momentum to help him rip it free from his grasp. Abe swung the chair high over his head and smashed it against the ground on his other side, sending wood chips and pieces of it scattering over the floor. He turned back around and quickly stepped on Jake's foot before pushing him back. With his foot planted, Jake would go nowhere but down. Abraham followed up by dropping to his knees and falling on top of Jake and straddling his chest while his knees were pinning his shoulders. Both of his hands clasped around Jake's neck and were tensing up as his eyes bore into Jake's.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" Jake shouted as the whole chair plan fell to pieces (Quite literally!). He took the vicious swing with it he could, shouting, "Have a seat, bitch!" and it ended with him getting disarmed and thrown to the ground. Abe got on top of him, and started trying to strangle him. Jesus H. Christ. Was Abe trying to kill him? This guy was a real psychopath. He wasn't going to let it go down like this. Both his hands scrambled around, looking for anything to grab onto, and he clenched something. It was long, wooden... Wait, was it a chair leg? Nice. Maybe that chair might come in handy. Jake quickly swung the chairleg at Abe's head, multiple times. Right now, it was a fight to see who would go down first. Jake would either get choked out, or Abe would get knocked unconscious - But, who knows! It could actually be comedic if they both took each other out. Of course, it didn't seem like any of the outcomes would occur.

"What the hell is going on in here!?" A stern, mature, voice shouted, accompanied by footsteps. It was none other than Adam Blackmore, hearing all about the commotion going on. The second he stepped into the room, he immediately saw the struggle between Abe and Jake go on. This was simply unacceptable. He clapped his hands together, and quickly pulled them apart, and a powerful gust of wind separated Jake and Abe from each other. He walked over to them, and gave them the sternest of all looks.

"Oooooooooh, someone's going to get in trouble!" Sylvia says in a faux cheery tone. She stopped playing her guitar the second Adam came in shouting. This was pretty fun to watch. Abe was definitely a powerhouse, but at least Jake didn't get his ass kicked too badly. Sylvia was going to help him if he couldn't get Abe off, though. Sylvia looked at Abe and her eyes curiously peered towards Adam. "I bet you're going to put them over your knee and spank them right now!" She said to Adam, she would have gone for a taunt, but she honestly didn't want to hear him bitch.

Adam looked at Sylvia, and shook his head. Ultimately ignoring her and focusing on his two little brawlers here. "On the very first day, you two are acting like God damn animals!" He harshly said, he had his teeth clenched. This behavior couldn't be allowed. Especially on the first day. Fortunately, these two volunteered themselves to be the first to be made an example of. "Fights like these are forbidden. You two are going to be spending a very long time in the detention center..." He tipped his glasses, narrowing his eyes at them. "What are you two waiting for? Get up this instant!"

Henry Olin

As soon as Atticus hit the water Henry was upon him. He was fast on land, and just as fast in the water. He saw the man struggle and was about to haul him out of the water, only for the boy to take a different form. He seemed to become more comfortable almost immediately, going as far as to take off his shoes and socks to be a bit better at swimming. The fish man swam up to him, and motioned. When me made the upwards motion, Henry shook his head no, and swam to the surface. He was a diver, and to him that motion meant to surface. As soon as he was up he released air from his lungs like he would normally, but still continued to breath through his skin, as he was still mostly submerged in the water. He had no idea what Codi was planning, only that she wanted to prank him. Not push him off a god damn waterfall. That wasn't a prank, that was dangerous. He swam over to the wall of the waterfall and latched onto the stony surface, and pulled himself up. Henry was extremely strong, and very capable of climbing the waterfall. He hadn't heard Dana's return over the roar of the water. He was climbing to reprimand Codi.

But when he was about three quarters of the way up, he heard his friend's beg for her to get him and double timed his efforts. He quite nearly flew up the rocky outcrop, and launched himself off of edge and back to the surface. "YOU." he said, pointing to Codi. "...We need to talk." he said, before loosing his attention in her to place it back upon Dana. "Dana, Jesus are you okay?" he said, kneeling down next to his friend who looked like she was about to start sobbing. He gave her a quick once over for injuries, but couldn't see any visible ones. "Dana, Dana," he said, shaking her lightly. "What's wrong, speak to me, I'm here. What happened? Where's Asae?"

Ben Voss

Ben looked over to his sister, who was asking him rhetorically if the place looked like fun. Ben gave Pink the thumbs up and his usual bright smile. He watched her draw her attention away, then run and jump into the water. He stroked his beard, thinking about how they would get there. Pink might be able to, but it'd be really draining for her and she could probably only take one or two people at a time. He narrowed his eyes, and looked to the boats, then to the forest.

Cue epiphany stick.

Ben then marched into the forest without a word, even if he could speak he probably wouldn't have said anything, and took a deep breath. Taking off his shoes and socks, he sat down, and grew still. He concentrated, just as he always did when he did something like this. The whole forest grew silent, and remained like that for a solid minute. Deborah would probably be able to pick up on that, and link his absence to it. His whole body hummed for a minute, before small wooden structures sprouted from the ground. They seemed like normal plants for a second, but their growth rate accelerated immensely immediately. They exploded from the ground, wrapping around Ben's body like a wooden cocoon. Moss and mushrooms and vines all came with the wood, picking up dirt packing it together, before surrounding it with wood and more plant life. Atop the great structure a wooden head sprouted, and marking soon sunk into the bark. The 'eyes' glowed bright yellow, showing the being had vision. The being creaked, and for a moment, did absolutely nothing but sit there.

The forest resumed it's noise, and the structure came to life.

It slowly but surely stood up on it's two legs, and the great golem rose to it's feet. It stood twelve feet tall, and weighed several thousand pounds in dirt, wood, plant matter, and Ben, who was at the center of his little (or big) shell. As it rose, it's head turned from side to side, surveying the scene. It's huge arms reached around it, and opened their hands. After a few seconds, two gigantic pillars of wood came up to meet the Golem's palms. it did this a three more times, and then as the eight pillars were erected, they were destroyed. The Golem's wooden hand began to warp into a huge axe like appendage, and with a slow but mighty chop, the wood was cut fairly nearly near the base of the pillars, leaving what looked to be a bunch of tree stumps. After gathering each of the pillars, four under each arm, the great golem marched back to the beach. It knew people would be surprised, but it hoped Pink would keep everyone from attacking it. It set the pillars down near the tree line, each standing up. It's axe hand had long since degenerated back into a normal hand. With it's other arm, a long and thick vine sprouted from it's back and traveled down it's arm, wrapping around it every so often before coming out near the being wrist. It swung the vine around the pieces of wood and grabbed it with the same hand. It's free hand's wood warped into a blade. It was simple, not too sharp or dangerous looking. It was probably only a foot long, tiny compared to the one who wielded it. With this blade it cut the vine, and tied the ends together. It did the same thing for the bottom, and repeated it again with the other four logs, and when it was finished, grabbed the ends with both hand and lifted one, before bringing them over and laying them down near the water. It repeated this with the other.

Two rafts for travel.

It looked over to Pink.

Codi Bailey and Atticus Fowler

Codi, although afraid of what Henry would say to her, was not as fearful of being reprimanded by him or any other teacher as she was about what Atticus would say. The primary reason for why she had done such an atrocious action was because she doubted the school, which prized the safety of its students, would force Atticus to do something that went directly against his will. Codi had called it a prank, but she wasn’t laughing about it; in fact, she had broken down crying about it. She was made even more hysterical by whatever had happened to Dana. She couldn’t let her emotions reign over her, though, so she forced herself to at least gain a partial amount of composure, so she could think about the situation.

She looked at Henry, “Dana said she and Asae were attacked. I don’t know where Asae is, but I think she left.” She said, the light in her eyes suggesting she was aware of the trouble she had caused, but wasn’t going to think about that until the current issue was resolved. Codi was normally pretty empathetic, but she had already committed herself to something, dark as it was. She saw it all the way through, or she was spineless; she didn’t like making promises she couldn’t keep. She had promised Atticus on the way to the school that if she got the opportunity, she would throw him into a scenario where he wouldn’t have a choice but to try to breathe underwater. She had meant it, even if she didn’t enjoy it herself.

In the meantime, Atticus surfaced, and found that he needed to breathe again. He got up and walked over to the group, finding himself alarmed by the situation, but more so focusing on Codi. Henry had said she hadn’t been responsible for the act, but somehow, he doubted that was the truth; had he just not read the question properly? The fish-man walked over to Codi, looking into her face, and knowing by the tears that she must have been the one to push him. Clearly, she hadn’t wanted to do it, either; but still, that wasn’t something he could forget about easily. “Codi! What were you thinking, I could have drowned!” He said, the most logical, and most obvious question of the day.

Codi wiped the tears off of her face, “I didn’t enjoy it, but either someone made you try, or you’d never know. It’s not like you haven’t made me do tough things before to find out about my powers.” She muttered, giving him a reminder of the things he had suggested that she do before.

“There’s a difference between people and guinea pigs, Codi.” He said, his tone returning to a normal, non-betraying quality of his emotions, though there was still a hurt note to it.

“You say that so easily, Atticus, but you don’t have powers where you need a test subject to find out what you can do. You advised me to do something I hated so I could comprehend the scope of my powers, and I promised you that I would make you try to breathe underwater, because you’re a fish-man. I meant it. You think it’s a one-sided thing, where you can tell me to do something that goes against my morals or beliefs? I just did something that went against them again just now, so that I could help you find out about your powers. You can breathe underwater, and do you think you would have done it unless I’d scared you that badly? I knew it was dangerous, I did it anyway. It’s not like I don’t know what the consequences were. I don’t have anything to gain from it.”

Atticus stared at her again, “That was still ridiculously dangerous; you couldn’t have asked the teachers or faculty to see if I could do that? Wouldn’t there have been some safer method?”

Codi looked at Atticus, her emotions seeming a bit exhausted, so that she seemed tired, and unable to react further, “I doubt the faculty would forcibly try to make you do something that would cause a life-threatening situation, and you wouldn’t do it when I asked you to try voluntarily. I know I’m responsible for it, and I’ll accept whatever consequences there are. I only had to do it once to know, so there’s not a chance I’ll do it again. I just didn’t see any other way. You wouldn’t listen to me, but had you, I would have pulled you out of the water if you had started to drown.” Her eyes filled with a few tears, “I’m sorry I had to do this, Atticus, and I really am guilty about it. I hope you can forgive me, but if you can’t, I’ll understand why you don’t want to.”

Atticus studied her face, finding, to his despair, that she was telling the truth. He looked over at Henry and Dana, “It’s easier for me to handle this, because I didn’t drown, but had I started to? I would have been a lot angrier than I am. It’s just hard for me to be angry at you, even as ridiculous as this is, and as angry as I should logically be. I must be insane, not being furious, and perhaps wondering if you’re a friend at all, except that we’ve known each other for a year, and I know you don’t lie.”

He shook his head and sighed, “I don’t think I’ll ever understand it, but I can’t hold a grudge over this, even though common sense should tell me otherwise. We can still be friends, but promise me, that you will never, ever do this again. I need your word.” He looked hard at her.

Codi nodded, “I promise.”

Lacking the Animal Meta instinct, Aislin couldn't quite understand Jaska's feelings of utter success at his kill. But his enthusiasm literally burst from his face, contagiously so. Aislin had to smile back. "I can't say I've tried raw deer before, but you must have been so fast to catch it! That's impressive, Jaska."

The moment she brought up the exploration Jaska shut down. Well, not literally, but he wouldn't meet her eyes. In a mumbling tone he said something about having the freedom to do what he wanted, but Aislin knew there was more to it. It sounded like he had a falling out with the other kids already. She remembered when that was her constantly back in grade school. Kids were just so cliquey, sometimes it was only luck that got friends.

A twinge of relief reflected behind her eyes when Jaska perked up to the mentioning of cave exploration. She acknowledged the fact that kids have beautifully short attention spans, Meta or not. Whatever bothered him before was forgotten briefly as he heartily declared he'd lead them there. He was even up for some competition. "Alright, race ya!"

Jaska took off through the tree branches, Aislin quickly gliding after him along the jungle floor. How he moved was very fascinating to watch, a mix of quick claw work (that likely left the meanest scratches on the bark) and aerial assists. This was the first time Aislin had really seen Jaska's wings at full length. The speed he could get out of them was crazy as he leaped off each branch.

Aislin's movement wasn't nearly as fancy, or even as fast. She could gain good speeds using the world like a longboard, leaned forward as the bubble effortlessly rolled inches above the ground. But she could only go as fast as she could connect to the new earth under foot. Reckless speeding up didn't allow the animation to really take root in new dirt, dissolving her power just as quick.

Jaska's top speed was out of her reach, but for the most part she could keep up with him as they darted through the foliage. The forest trembled in the aftermath as they raced each other through trees and around huge rocks, not as concerned with where they went as much as the journey there. Keeping Jaska's flying monkey moves in the corner of her eye, Aislin was able to enjoy the jungle they flew by. Rosebushes passed them by, as well as fruit trees bearing little oranges. At one part the trees opened up to a clearing with babbling spring water flowing downhill. At another Aislin swore she saw a mushroom the size of her head. But after a good amount of time, they stumbled across something promising.

The side of a cliff face was littered with large holes that descended deeper into the darkness, and a smell of cool humid air drifted up from their openings. Aislin grinned from ear to ear the moment she saw it, slowing down and stepping off her bubble as it merged back into the earth. "Jaska, you led us right to the caves. We made it!"

Jogging up to the nearest entrance, Aislin gently put a hand against the stone wall and leaned her head in, trying to spy how quick the floor dropped. Some openings had ladders leading down, others with steps built into the side. It looked steep, so as long as they took it slow Aislin was sure they'd be fine.

Smiling again, she took another gulp of lush cave air, drinking it in. "Ah, can you smell it? I bet some of these cave systems have underground springs. Maybe even hot springs, if the Academy considered it."

Aislin gave the little Meta a wink. "Ready for some real exploring?" Picking the entrance with the only solid set of stone stairs, Aislin began making her way down. Her hand was glued to the wall as the other side of the stairs held a darkness that gave no indication how far the drop was. But after a thirty-second walk the stairs plateaued out to a small ledge that gave more breathing room from the edge. The various holes of cave entrances from above shone down, illuminating the ledge. Beyond that Aislin saw the path split off a couple ways, and she turned around to wait for Jaska to join her in the cave. He should probably be leading them through this too; she wasn't much for navigating.

Nicholas Philip Raynor, & Sylvia Lana Bertoose

Silently staring at the situation, sat a young man, apparently looked over and missed by everyone else. Which is fair, he was fairly invisible for the most part, mostly having been playing with what looked like some sort of gaming hand-held to avoid most of the situation, though admittedly he had looked up to watch the fight, a bit too nervous to outright intervene, especially in this kind of place. His abilities couldn't really hold a candle to these guys. After all, they had all kinds of devastating abilities and he...what? Could heal people? Not like he minded it, though. He just knew he would be ready for an extra-hard beating if something went down that he -had- to interfere in. Ugh.

Its not like he was completely oblivious to the situation, though. While he had been focusing his eyes on the gaming media, his ears had been listening closely, and just the entire situation had been more offensive and aggressive than he had ever wanted to be. It seemed everyone in the room was hostile or misunderstanding. Maybe coming here -wasn't- the smartest idea in this little world of his. He eventually closed up the small gaming system, which was blue in color, before opening up what was a brown backpack on the floor next to him and sneaking it into one of the backpack's many compartments before zipping it up, his blue eyes looking up as Adam walked in. Oooh dear. Oh dear. Well, at least as long as Adam hadn't figured out that -someone- had skipped the first power-based training session. But who could blame Nicholas? He was scared of just a small amount of these fellows fighting. An entire group was monstrous to think about. Still...he had to keep his cool. He couldn't be cooped up in here forever. Still, watching the pretty boy and the big jack-ass fight told him what to expect, and it wasn't pretty.

But it wasn't like he could forget who had stood on the sidelines and almost facilitated...nay, -seemingly enjoyed- the fight and its outcome. The young lady with the one eye. He may not be part of big groups often, but just from experiences in the past, he knows how to spot someone manipulative. She was smart, alright...or maybe it was just coincidental and she just enjoyed it. All the same, he didn't necessarily like it, but she was the only person here he could talk to, to -not- look like he wasn't supposed to be here or like he was someone to talk to by Adam. He turned towards Sylvia, standing up as his blue jeans hung lazily to his legs, looking a bit too long for him and even being rolled up inward to avoid being stepped on at the ends, whereas above it, he was wearing a plain black t-shirt, with a backpack hanging on his back once he readjusted it, sitting down next to her. “...So. Does this happen all the time, or are you new here, too?” He asked, his voice sounding a bit nervous, but also middle of the line for most male voices, nothing too notable, like an accent. If he had one, he hid it pretty darn well.

Now wasn't this the cheerist of all times?

Sylvia just watched, who's more or less her brother, and some big old ape fight. She was not disappointed. Though, she wished that they had used their powers, or broke something. There's barely any damage done! A broken chair? Don't make her laugh. That damn thing will be swept up in moments. Sylvia was wondering what old Vespera was up to, her eyes scanned the room- suddenly, she had lost all interest in Spider-Tits. She had to work out what she'll do next. With Jake gone, there was no one for her to spend the afternoon with. Sylvia sighed. Maybe she should have jumped in after all. And what? Get your ass kicked too? She thought to herself with a sigh. Well, what's done is done. Though, Sylvia knew she would have to avoid Gabe for the rest of the day. Because knowing her, she'd go on a rampage the second she learned that Jake got into a fight. Worse. Without anyone for Gabe to direct that anger at she could - audible gasp! - direct at anger at Sylvia.

Yeah, fuck that.

There she was, sitting in a chair with a guitar in her lap. Staring at the (lame) aftermath. She should go do something, but it seemed like "something" came to her on a silver platter. Well, no. A average kid that had to be around her age (Going off her extensive experience) wearing a backpack, looked like.... He really reminded her of that one kid. The one who did stuff with light, and was shy as all hell. What was his name again? Ethan! Yes, the boyscout. She wondered what happened to him, she wanted to pop his cherry, but meh. That was the past now. This kid was right in front of her. A present opportunity.

Though, she'd have to test if he was w-i-l-l-i-n-g! Sylvia didn't have time to waste on quitters. Sylvia gave Nicholas a confident smirk. "I wish. I'd make coming here waaaaaay more interesting. Just two sweaty men, beating each other's brains in." She started laughing. She knew that the boy was the shy, pure, type. Something she could play off of easily. "And don't be so nervous, kid. You're in paradise. I'm surprised a kiddo like you haven't left that attitude behind."

The silverhaired girl kept laughing. She looked down and played her guitar a little bit. "Me? I'm far from new here. Sylvia-motherfucker-Bertoose at your service."

Nick couldn't help but mentally facepalm. Ugh. Great, so she enjoyed watching two idiots beat the hell out of each other? At least with boxing, there was some level of meaning behind winning a match and it wasn't just outright killing each other. He'd seen enough of that in his old school, and he didn't like it any better here, either. He quickly ran his hand through his curly hair, moving to the back of it and scratching the back of his head. "No offense, but I find watching two people just beating the heck out of each other -just- to do it pretty boring." He stated simply, looking at where the fellows once laid before looking back at Sylvia. "Sylvia? Nice to meet you. Name's Nicholas Raynor, but you can call me Nick." He stated. His eyes drifted down to her guitar, before smiling. "Nice guitar you got there. I mostly prefer the acoustic type, but bass has its place." He found himself rhyming, almost smirking at his own sillyness. Hell, it wasn't like he could avoid it if he tried.

"... Would you prefer that they make out on the floor, then?" Sylvia winked at Nick. She wasn't neccessarily into man-on-man, but she just wanted to see how he'd react. Nicholas. He introduced himself as. Not exactly the most interesting name, but during capture the flag, she heard that a bitch-face here was named Atticus. What's up with that? "A pleasure to meet you, Raynor. Because I'll be your tour guide." She said with a smirk. Maybe playing around with Nick might not be all that bad. The boy made a comment about her guitar. "Oh this?" She raised it up and presented it to him. He would notice that it was painted black, and had a variety of white stickers on it. "This is the best guitar in the world. You wouldn't all the crazy bullshit I've done with this." One time, I shoved it up a boy's ass! "Acoustic guitars are great and all... but I like this one. Not because it's a bass guitar, because this one here actually has some fucking personality."

Nick leaned back, eventually moving to take off the backpack, which looked a bit heavier than it initially would have, now hanging off of its straps in his hand before being set down, as if something heavier than normal books sat within it. This was all done so he could lean back completely, enjoying relaxing in his seat rather than remaining nervous. After all, one on one talks weren't bad, infact, they were what he preferred.

At least, until the comment about the guys making out. At first, he blushed at the comment, before breaking out into laughter, moving to lean forward. Thats it, that comment got his attention even more-so. Not that he had anything against their kind, but just the thought of those two kissing and making out was more than just hilarious after what he had just seen them do. "I'm sorry, but I don't think those guys could hate each other more, even if you gave them a reason to. Not that I mind the guy who's hair got torn out. Its more the guy who's got to take offense to everything in existence." He stated, before noting that comment. "Well, I appreciate it, but I don't think I'll be venturing out -too- much. Studies and such...and no offense, but I prefer -not- to get into trouble more than I already have set myself up to." He found himself saying somewhat distastefully.

"Ahhhhhh, you don't quite understand. You need a bomb-ass bitch like me, to show a boy like you around. In case you didn't realize, I'm popular as fuck." Sylvia laughed as she said to him. "Either way, you're not getting rid of me that easily. So you better get used to it, kid." She was determined to spread sunshine and happiness to all of Nicholas's adventures! Whether he wanted to or not, Sylvia was going to make a man out of him! A man that passes out in Denny's parking lots with several needles shoved into his ass. Sylvia didn't respond to what he said about Jake and Abe - Because fuck that ancient history. She didn't care about them anymore.

"And...hrm. Really? It -is- a very nice bass. To me though, I like subtle things in music. The things you don't really notice. But it certainly does look like one of the most amazing guitars I've ever seen. I bet you put some real love in how you play it." He stated.

Before he was completely thrown off by what she had said, finding himself having to recount it. Oh dear...oh dear, oh dear. "No offense, Sylvia, but I mean it in the most honest way, that popularity has done no one good except people who are looking to sell a product. And right now, I'm not intending to buy right now. However, we can definitely have lunch sometime or hang out. But no offense, I don't plan to live the "popular" way, if you get my drift." He stated blatantly. He was one of those guys who wasn't swayed by the girl who obviously wants to tease and perhaps even do some rather distasteful things to him. Mostly because he's seen the kind of bitches popular girls can be, and beyond that, he's seen what happens to most popular kids. It wasn't something that he wasn't used to hearing about and seeing in media.

Sylvia started giggling like a maniac. This boy must be so uptight. Probably homeschooled and lived a life of momma telling him the perversion and evils of the world. Nothing made her laugh harder. "Maybe you should learn what I'm selling first..." She said in a sultry tone. Sylvia didn't have the hots for this guy (What am I even supposed to get the hots for?), but once again, just wanted to see what he'd say in response. "A little popularity never hurt anyone. All you'd have to do is be seen with me, and everyone would know that you're worthy of my presence. Like... right now. Everyone watching is getting that idea righ now!"

The future rests in the hands of those who can fend for themselves and hold things of substance, not to those who want to spend all they have in a shot of some expensive drug. Ugh. Either way, Nicholas found her whole prospect over what she was selling a typical tease. Some girls liked it, some guys responded, and he had in the past. And despite the fact that a light blush quickly took form on his cheeks, he found himself frowning, ignoring the speel about being popular. Still not interested."...What kind of powers do you have, anyways?"

"Powers, huh?" Sylvia asked with a raised eyebrow. She honestly found the subject of powers as quite stale. When you're here for multiple years, kids come and go, and you'd see the strangest and most powerful abilties out there. "Sound Manipulation, homie. If it has something to do with sound, I can fuck with it." She snapped her fingers, and made Nick's voice very high pitched. To comical levels. He would sound like Micky Mouse. She hated using the same trick twice, but at least he wasn't around to see it the first time. "Ob-serve!"

Again, the young man was interested. Sound manipulation? As she snapped her fingers, he didn't speak at first, waiting for something. He then began to speak. "Power? I do-waaait a sec, is that -my- voice?" He asked, noting the high pitched voice that clearly wasn't his own, before beginning to laugh loudly. "That's absolutely hilarious! I wish I could do that to myself, just to laugh. Aaah. Man. That was good." He found himself finishing up with a pleasant sigh. "My power...is a bit unique. I don't have a real name for it, but its mostly...well, its this." He stated, before snapping his fingers. Instantly, a small, but incredibly bright small flame took hold on his right thumb, glowing a bright white color. "This flame doesn't really usually burn, so it might seem useless, but it can actually heal people, and better yet...well, it makes you feel good. Its...kind of hard to explain, but it makes you feel stronger than you did before. If you want to see what I mean, feel free to touch it."

"Cooooooool..." Sylvia said with feigned interest. Oh, boy. This guy can spout fire from his dick! She definitely hasn't seen that one before. She rolled her eyes. Well, the super-human scene was one big lottery, and it turns out that Sylvia won it. Though, she figured she could screw with him a bit. Healing flames or not, she had been presented with materials. "... Oh, goody. I don't have to worry about getting burned with we do it..." It was more blatant, but what the hell. He looked like he had enough brain to figure out what's going on here, and that was enough for Sylvia to stop beating around the bush!

And with that, Nick was done. He had even offered her a chance to feel his power in action, but nope. All she cared about was either teasing him or sexually offering herself to him, depending on which was the case. And with that, he was done. "I don't think we'll ever do it, to be very frank. I'm sorry, but I'm just not interested in someone more interested whats in my pants than a genuine friendship." He stated very frankly, standing up and taking ahold of his backpack and slipping it back onto his back, where it belonged. He then moved to walk towards the door. "Take care, no hard feelings." He found himself finishing before walking through the door, speed-walking his way towards the exit of the building. It seemed the only way he might escape her is maybe by getting somewhere she can't interact. Maybe finding Adam wasn't such a horrible idea...

"Waaaaaaaait, come back!" Sylvia immediately got up off the chair, and followed after him. With a hand extended. She didn't brighten his day yet! She couldn't let him get away. "Let me change your mind by seranading you!" She took in a deep breath, and changed her voice to mimic Micheal Jackson's (At his best). She raised the volume of her voice so that everyone could hear her sing badly, "... I wanna rock with you! All night! Dance you into day! Sunlight! We're gonna rock the night away!"

Deborah Termellio, Shannon Balore, & "Pink" Vincigarru.

"Hey, hold up there, Hotshots." Deborah was quick to say to her allies who were going to go into the boats. Going into the shipwreck alone was not the smartest of all ideas. Deborah looked up at the cruise ships. Yeah, they were some distance into the water too. She didn't know how deep, but she had a hunch that by the time they got there, the water would be over their heads. "You don't know how deep it is, and I think it's best we go as a group." Her eyes peered towards Chris... She was honestly surprised he was so willing to come back here. This place is a symbol of his greatest failure. She was certain he'd breakdown the second he got in there (Chris is holding it together, though he is angered by the fact the ships remain). Okay, that's a start. If Chris holds it together, good. If he can't... They better hope that the shipwreck can hold.

On the other hand, Shannon was wondering how they would get up there... She was gauging distance and all that from the water to the top of the boat. Perhaps she could make a rope so that everyone could climb up. But, seriously she didn't have enough cloth with her. She reached into her purse and made it float around in front of her face. Not enough. Unless everyone is fine with getting naked. She laughed to herself, then looked at Deborah, before laughing again. Even harder. Shannon turned to Deborah, "We need a way to actually get up there." She tipped her glasses. "Unless there's a convenient hole in the wall or other entrance, that is...." That just sounded too convenient for Shannon. They would have to work to get inside here.

"Um, does anyone have a rope, then?" Deborah asked.

Even with the distance that Pink between the group, she could still hear them just fine. They were just about ready. Getting into the water was not a smart idea. She was waist-deep in the water, and she was barely a quarter of the percentage there. "Yeah, ya' ain't gonna swim this." Pink could get inside the shipwreck and back in record time. They were a whole another discussion. She could ferry them there and back, but it'd be taxing - Plus, she didn't even want to. Leave these kids to solve it, she was just here for the trip.

Though, it appeared (at least to Shannon) that Ben had given up, he walked away without a word. Shannon contorted her face into a frown, staring at Ben as he left. "Figures." She shrugged, rolling her eyes, putting her hands at her sides. The big fool was probably going to be useless anyway. She was going to focus on trying to get up there. Then the forest died... Not literally, but it suddenly went silent, then there was a loud chopping sound. Shannon pivoted towards the forest, wondering what it was - No, she was waiting for Deborah to explain it.

Ben left, but Deborah knew that he hadn't left without purpose (He plans on solving our problem). Interesting, Deborah wondered what he was going to do. She already knows he can create plant life, is he setting out to make a bridge for them? That'd be awfully nice of him if he did. The forest going silent confirmed it. She made the connection between the forest going silent, and Ben's absence (He is changing, using the forest as power). She was honestly curious as to what Ben is up to. To the point where Deborah almost went into the forest after him.

By the time Ben came back, he was quite different. He was a massive colossus of stone, dirt, and plant matter. That was something quite surprising, if Deborah's power didn't tell her (), she wouldn't. Shannon and Deborah were taken back, standing back and gasping, while Pink felt meh (Nothing new to her). "Everyone, it's Ben, he's on our side!" Deborah wanted to get that clear just in case Ben's arrival surprised people. What was most interesting that Ben was making two functional rafts in his hands. He dropped them into the water.

"... Well, that solves a few problems." Deborah said with a smirk. Ben was an amazing Meta-human, he managed to solve this problem for them. While his current form looked like it could snap her like a twig, she knew he was on her side, ultimately of zero threat. "Thank you, Ben." She thanked him. Once again it seemed like Shannon was proven wrong, Deborah saw her sigh, and shake her head.

Now this was a plan that Pink could get behind! She could get everyone to the boats in record time. Pink quickly got into the water, and waved her hands around. Making the salty-water move the rafts closer to land. "Get on, I'll take it from here." In the water, Pink was in sync with her power, and at her greatest. She could sense everything going on here. Everyone got onto the boats, and Pink manipulated the waves to propel them towards the ship wreck.

Shannon and Deborah stepped on the boat, side by side. On the boat ride, they held hands. Activating the mental connection between the two.

Isn't this romantic? Two lovers going out to solve mysteries. Deborah sent the message to Shannon, smirking.

Yes, with their, oh so lovable band of strangers. Shannon replied.

We'll have to find some privacy. I think the view of the ocean would be awesome from that boat. Deborah sent the thought to Shannon, and mentally sending her the location of the boat. Shannon's head turned towards it. It was one of the few boats here that wasn't trashed, or completely uninhabitable.

... Won't we come here later? You know... alone. Shannon asked.

Sure! Deborah replied.

It wasn't long before the boat ride came to a close. They were at the shipwreck. Like Shannon anticipated, the boats didn't have a convenient entrance (After all these years, not one damn person punched a hole in this?). Shannon scanned the boat for anything she could use to get up there. She could create a thread, or ladder, or anything. She wondered about what she can use as materials - Viola! Shannon grinned. A rope was hanging off the side of it Thankfully, ropes are made out of fibers, and fibers are not out of her range. She snapped it off from the post, and brought it over to her boat. She quickly wrapped it around the railing of the cruise ship. Easy! All everyone has to do is climb up this... then she looked down at herself. Yeah, she was a little chubby. When PE came around, she always lost (Debs says the only thing I should be losing is this weight). Using the extra fabric she had, she created a ladder, increasing the tensile strength so that they could support themselves on it.

Shannon bowed down, with her hands. "... All aboard." She said with a casual grin. Everyone hopped onto the ladder and climbed their way up to the wrecked ship. The ship wasn't the most sturdy thing on the planet. With every step, it creaked, and moved. "Eeeeeeeh, easy now." Shannon said. "Don't want to fall through everything."

The group proceed into the shipwreck. This place was definitely touched by someone else. There was plenty of trash, graffiti, love juice staining the floor, and a few beds. The place looked less like a trashed boat, and more of a hangout. The place made Shannon covered her nose, hissing a few things underneath her breath. Pink got it worse, given that her sense of smell was superior to human sense of smells. Though, the person who got it the worst. Every sight, every smell, it gave her a piece of information. The kind of information she didn't want to know. She had to cover her eyes with one hand, and plug her nose with the other.

"This is the place." Deborah told everyone as she stopped. The room she had lead them to looked much like a foyer in a cruise ship. Had stairs, multiple floors, and railing. It looked like it was a glamorous place... Many years ago. Everything had gone to shit. The room had heavily decayed. The tile-floor crunched and broke underneath their feet, everything was broken, there was even a massive pile of debris in the room (That must be where the accident happened). Deborah walked into the middle of the room, scanning everything and waiting for a reaction from Chris.

... That malicious feeling in the back of her head suddenly grew worse.
Jaska Din Valos.

Like the beast child had known, Aislin couldn't match his mastery over this terrain. For people like her were made to live in dense urban jungles, in a real jungle, he was king. Needless to say, he was quite agile. Every movement he made had grace, skill, and showed every bit of his experience traversing such terrains. Not once did he falter, or slip. Merely kept going. When they got there, Jaska landed on his feet with grace, a proud smile on his face, and folded his wings. His mother's training at it's best. The beast child approached the cave, finding himself standing next to Aislin. "I win!" He was quick to declare, sticking out that long tongue of his. It nearly went down past his chest. He sucked it back in, and looked into the cave.

Hm. The boy looked in curiously, eyes wide, and his claws on the side of the cave. He wasn't used to caves. Sure, he heard about them plenty of times, but this would be the first time he's experienced a cave for himself. Not to say that he wasn't excited. There was a light difference here, he couldn't see inside that well. He would have to step inside, which is exactly what he did. He slowly stepped inside of the cave, his night vision going active the further he stepped inside. He could see the cave perfectly now. Where Aislin choose to walk inside, Jaska took another route. He jumped up and dug his claws into the ceiling, wrapping his hands around the stalactites to use as a stepping stone. He hasn't had much experience climbing on stone. More of drywall, in the urban jungles. But he was going to keep going.

When Aislin mentioned the smells, Jaska took in a deep sniff. "Oh yeah!" His sense of smell was apex compared to Aislin. He could smell the refreshing water somewhere. Though, he wasn't the type to swim in water- Jaska swimming involves lots of drowning - he'd instead drink it. He choose to watch over Aislin. There were creatures in here that would trump even him. He'd at least be able to see it coming. "C'mon!" He yipped as he continued climbing on the ceiling. He moved at a slow pace, he didn't want to fall off. In places like this, he was somewhat out of his element, but at the same time, he's better equipped for places like this...

... "Someone's here!" Suddenly, the boy's instincts went wild. He had sensed someone in the caves, smelling them, hearing them. His body tensed up, and he turned in their direction with astonishing speed. Jaska was trained to be constantly aware of his surroundings, and even more aware of humans. A single human can be more dangerous than any one beast, after all. Unfortunately, he didn't exactly consider that he wasn't on the ground. When he grabbed onto another spike, it couldn't support his weight and snapped. The rest of his body came tumbling off the ceiling. He roared, and tried to flip around in mid-air. Jaska landed on the ground....

Huh... Jaska hit his head on impact. His vision was blurry, everything was spinning, his ears were ringing. He felt a pain like no other on his side... yeah, side of his belly. "Huh..." The beast child looked down, then his eyes widened. A... a stalagmite... had impaled him. Immediately, the child panicked and screamed at the very top of his lungs. He grabbed onto the stalagmite with both hands, and screeched in pain. Tears had begun running down his eyes. Why had it have to be him experiencing this!? He coughed up some blood. "A-a-sh..." Jaska had more trouble than ever trying to say Aislin's name right. "... Heeeelp!" He screamed. "Help!" He repeated. He heard someone walk off.

A woman with blue skin was seen disappearing into the darkness.

Jaska suddenly took a turn for the worse. He felt weak... it might be the fact he's been impaled, but something else. His skin was burning, and he felt... angry. Extremely angry. Jaska's eyes started glowing for a moment, leaving an after-trail. Wait.... No, no, no, no, no. Not now! Please, he didn't want to change! Aislin wouldn't last a minute. He refused to hurt such a pretty lady. His skin started getting extremely hot, and he began thrashing about. Jaska was trying to contain it to the best of his ability, but he was failing a losing battle. His inner-beast will come out. Jaska pointed towards the exit with desperation in his eyes. "... R-run!" He screamed at her, thrashing around. "I... Can.... can't... control it!" He coughed up another wave of blood. This point, his blood was sizzling on contact with the ground.

Then... everything went dark....
Theresa Sindel Obott.

... Looked like this day would get a little more interesting. While Theresa was leaving the lounge, a little of fisticuffs broke out. Between the black guy that Theresa spotted earlier, and some newcomer with glasses. She skittered back, putting her hand. Fighting outside the arena? Now these two were in for some trouble. Though, she had just stood by and watched them duke it out. Even laughing her ass off when one guy got his hair torn out. Though it was getting a little tense at the end where someone was getting choked out in front of her... She had long learned not to interfere with fights like this, but she was considering helping out. At this point, Adam had stepped in, and these bad boys were sent to the slammer. Theresa waved goodbye to them, sarcastically. Because not even God can help them now. Oh well. The school has rules, and they choose not to follow them. Now they're going to suffer the consequences. With those guys gone, there was nothing to see here. Theresa smirked as she walked out the room, heading back for her own room.

With a skip in her step, Theresa went back into her own room. Instead of just shoving the key in, she hesitated, and knocked on the door a bit. Waiting to see if Poppy was in the room. The last person she wanted to talk to now. There wasn't any sign of Poppy, so Theresa proceed into her room. She wanted to be quick, in and out. Dragonfly's group was probably out having all the adventures right now. Without her! It was probably all boring and stuff without her commentary. Theresa quickly looked underneath her bed and grabbed an object that was covered in bed sheets. She dragged from underneath the bed, and pulled the cover off. It was her archery case. Inside of it was Tess' compound bow that she keeps hidden (Because aren't allowed to have weapons, after all). She quickly unzipped it, and pulled out her bowie knife and it's leather holster.

Huh. She still loved this knife. Old, and rusty, and had so much personality and memories attached to it. Good thing she managed to sneak it here. She would put the holster on now, but she knew that it would give it away. Putting the knife back was simple as letting go of it, and letting it drop back into the bag. She zipped it up, and slung it over her shoulder as she started walking off out the door. Theresa looked casual as possible as she walked through the halls of the school. No, no, no, officer, I don't have a dangerous weapon in this bag. Theresa thought to herself as she looked at people. She had always found it funny, many of the students here were weapons, but they weren't allowed to have them. It was just like how drugs weren't allowed, and bam! Here she is. A walking drug dispenser.

Theresa walked through the gates of iron, she pulled her phone out of her pocket, and sent Henry a text: Where are you all at? She put her phone back into her pocket, and walked into the jungle. Maybe as she waits for them, she'll go hunt something. Theresa put the bag on the ground, and swung it open with a loud zip. The first thing she did was put the knife holster on her belt. She grabbed her  compound bow, then pulled out everything she needed. The bow, the quiver, and such and such. The quiver was hip mounted, so it went without saying where Theresa put it. It was full of arrows, which Theresa fully intended on using. She held the bow in her hand as she traversed this dense terrain.

... The forest awaits.
Dana Lucille Alcott

Finally, Henry had come to help Dana. She had actually regained some of that composure. "Thank you, Henry." She looked down at the obvious slash on her arm, and the bloodstain. She let out a sigh. "Me and Asae were attacked by a bear...." Dana let out a sigh. "She fought it off, but she cut me." Dana showed him where she was cut. There was not a single trace of evidence that she was wounded to begin with. However, Henry should know of her alternate form's regenerative abilities. "Then we ran into this strange woman, and Asae almost attacked her, but I stopped her... She brought me back here, and disappeared. I don't know where she is!" She had listened to the conversation between Atticus and Codi, and deduced what had happened in her absence. Codi had pushed Atticus into the water. Which was very dangerous, and stupid, even for a prank. Dana would have scolded her, but it was not her place to say anything.

Nicholas Raynor, Adam Blackmore, & Sylvia Bertoose.

Ugh...is she still following me?

That was the thought plaguing Nicholas' mind as he walked through the hallways towards the exit of the dormitories, having made his way there while ignoring a certain voice-modifying meta-human. Not because he didn't find her attractive, but because it was obvious her goal was just to be extremely obnoxious and tease him constantly. After a moment, however, he found himself spotting a nearby water fountain, tilting his head. He was a bit parched. Without a second thought, he quickly walked towards it, leaning down and tilting the knob to shoot out an arching line of water, leaning his head down to begin to sip it. After finishing sipping the water, he rose his head up and turned around, fully expecting to see Sylvia there, waiting to taunt him again in some fashion.

"... Young man!" Adam said, very loudly, to get Nicholas's attention. He had appeared out of no where behind Nick, with his hands behind his back. No footsteps, nor any sound - It was ambigious if Sylvia knew he was even there! Like a ninja. This technique has been passed down the Blackmore line for generations. He thought to himself. He had business to tend to with Nick. Specifically, he was one of the students that was supposed to be in his class, but, - shocker - was no where to be seen. That was simply unacceptable. Now, today was the day that Adam had to set a lot of examples. Let the students know who has authority here, and who they need to follow without question. Even letting one thing slip wasn't going to fly.

"Do you know where you were supposed to be today at two-PM...?" He gave Nicholas a narrow glare. He calmly took his glasses off, and breathed on them, before wiping them off with his shirt. "Rhetorical question. You were supposed to be in my class." He scoffed, taking a momentary break for Nicholas to take in what he just said. "Now, I have read your file, and it says you're new here. I am very curious as to what you were doing at those times..."

"... Care to indulge me?" He stopped.

Sylvia dramatically gasped when Adam dropped the bomb. "Oh no!" She covered her mouth, and widened her eyes as far as they could go. "My sweet, innocent, pure, Nicholas... Breaking the rules?! I just can't watch!" Sylvia feigned passing out. She lied down on the ground, with her eyes closed, and a arm over her head.

Oh Lord Almighty, what have I unleashed?! The young man thought to himself, standing frozen for a moment before slowly turning around, recognizing the man. Oh dear...this was just going to be just...horrible. He slowly swallowed up any remaining shreds of courage he had, only taking a moment to look down at Sylvia, mentally letting loose a loud facepalm that could be heard mentally if anything with the patience to listen to his thoughts could hear. He seemed to almost tremble in fear while staring up at the old man. Not because of his appearance, but the realization that all sorts of things could happen to him now. Was he going to be thrown into detention with the other two males that could rip him to shreds at a moment's notice, or was he going to get even -worse- punishment? Well...you know what they say. Honesty is the -best- policy, and in front of Sylvia, this was going to be painful, but ya know, best get it out of the way. "Well, sir...em...I-I'll be honest with you. I didn't know what to expect, and to be honest, I don't feel quite comfortable in such a large group of people like this, so...I kind of just...stayed in my dorm and read a book?" He managed to finish up. Oh boy. He had a feeling that this was -not- going to be met with grace and favor. But in the back of his mind, maybe the old man would understand. He could hope, couldn't he?

Sylvia playfully opened an eye. "Yer' gonna get SPANKED soooooooo hard...." She closed that eye.

Uncomfortable? That was not a new excuse. This child could be lying... Which is great that Adam has telepathy. He put two fingers on the side of his head, and plunged deep into the boy's mind... Turns out, his story is correct. Regardless, Adam couldn't let this behavior slide that easily. This child needed to be reprimanded. Because he could use the same logic in regards to all his classes. "I cannot allow this behavior to pass," Adam began, stern as always, "Regardless of whether or not you were "comfortable", you have to attend all your classes." He nodded his head. "I believe a punishment is in order..." He tilted his head, like he was thinking really hard.
"Ah, I have the perfect way to reprimand you," Adam raised a finger. "This school requires much cleaning, and we are rather understaffed when it comes to janitors." He clapped his hands together. "We also have plenty of younger students. Many that have not developed that common-sense you and I have. A few have taken to drawing on all the walls...." He looked away, embarassed, before he continued "... On all the staff walls." He coughed, putting a fist up to it. "You will clean up all of it."
Sylvia suddenly "awoken" getting back on her behind, with the most fiendish smile on her face. She started waving her hand in the air, "Oh, oh, oh! I'll provide moral support! I'll sing him a song!"

Adam rolled his eyes up into his head. "... Very well, Ms. Bertoose. You, follow me to where you need to do your job.." He shrugged, and turned around, heading towards the staff dorms. With both of his little delinquents behind him.

Oh dear God Almighty, it was worse than he thought. Listening to the authoritative judgements of the man, and beyond that, being all too aware now of what Sylvia was going to do, he was all but ecstatic in the most sarcastic way he could be. But he didn't complain. He didn't draw attention to himself, beyond letting out a "Yes sir." joined alongside a sigh. He was used to being punished like this, after all, it wasn't the first time he had gotten himself in a bad situation because of his temperament. But those times were the past, maybe the man was right. Besides, he had actually somewhat complimented, saying that Nicholas himself had common sense! It was the nicest thing he had heard from anyone all day, so he supposed it was a step up, even if it -did- mean cleaning duty.

Nonetheless, as he followed after Adam, he curiously looked him over. Something about the way he held his fingers to his head earlier perked Nicholas' interest. He tilted his head, the curiousity beginning to nibble at his mind like a small rat, slowly making its way through all kinds of obstacles to get that elusive, mind-persuading cheese that just never stopped plaguing its little mind, uuugh. "Em...sir...that -thing- you did, with your fingers?...Was that some sort of telepathy?" He asked. Oh dear, hopefully, he didn't just upset the old man and open up a can of worms. After all, he had dealt with a couple of teachers who didn't -want- to teach, they just wanted to say the same stuff every school year to a new set of students and get them out of the way so they can get their pay. There -was- a difference between the two, after all.

Hm... Maybe this child is a bit more perceptive than he had anticipated. That, or he's experienced telepathy before. Either case worked. Adam answered his question, quick and simple, "Yes. One of the powers I have access to is Telepathy. It was how I found you, in fact." Adam nodded his head, casually dropping the fact that he may be a power replicator, or have multiple powers. Adam lead them through the maze-like hallways of the school. Going from the student dorms to the staff dorms... It wasn't long until they reached the place Adam talked about. He stopped right there, and put his hand out. "This is what you'll be working on today."

"Awwww, damn! Those kids balls haven't eve-" Sylvia inserted, surprised.

"Watch your mouth, young lady." Adam cut Sylvia off.

What was the damage? An entire hallway covered in crayon drawings. It wasn't just scribbles, it was actual drawings. Someone had drawn a house, a open field, and an oversized sun with crayons alone. While on the other side, there was a mirror drawing, except it was night time. Whoever did this was quite the artist. Probably had something to do with their power. Either way, it was a mess.

"The staff apprehended who was responsible for this earlier...." Adam quickly walked over to a janitor closet, before pulling out a bucket of water. Which was warm, and had vineagar and baking soda mixed into it. It also had a large sponge floating in it. "... You'll need this. It has everything you need to get all this nonsense off the walls." Adam nodded his head, before he turned around and walked the opposite direction. "I will come back to check on you later... I suggest you make haste..." Adam took off his glasses, and gave Nick a dry glare. "... For I plan on making you do a private lesson to make up. Goodbye." Adam disappeared into the hallways.
"... Best ya' get that ass working. I think I see a penis in there!" Sylvia quickly said, as she got out the way, finding a nearby corner, sitting down in it. She pulled out her guitar and began playing it for no reason at all. She played a soothing, lovey-song. "... Just to keep you entertained." She looked at him with a sinister smirk, "Now get to work! We have many more adventures that just call for us!"

Really? Crayon drawings? To be fair, it wasn't as bad as he expected, and it could have gone much worse. On the bright side, though, his assumptions about what Adam had done were proven true, and his curiosity was satisfied. At least, for now. Perhaps his knowledge of video games hadn't served him falsely, being he had seen something similar. Not to mention, saturday morning cartoons were always fun to watch. Either way, he quickly made his move, grabbing a hold of the sponge floating in the water, and then turning towards the wall with the night theme, and beginning scrub along the walls. "Yeah, yeah. I know." He simply responded to the girl, looking at her for a moment with a straight face before looking back. Private lesson, huh? Well, at least it would possibly get him away from Sylvia. Definitely something to look forward to, instead of being stressed out by her shenanigans to try to hide away from her.

What a strange boy. Aislin chuckled, only clueing in seconds later that Jaska never followed her down the steps. He grabbed the stone along the ceiling, crawling along like spider-man. Aislin's stomach twisted briefly, knowing if he fell that would mean bad news. The ceiling only inclined down the path, increasing the drop by a couple more feet. But Jaska had done this for years, maybe she was just paranoid.

They continued down one of the paths, Aislin going at a slow enough pace for Jaska to keep up comfortably. The path twisted along, the stone lined in worn curves alongside. It looked similar to a chasm, and Aislin considered the possibility of water eroding the cave walls. Then she remembered the island was artificial, and a pout crossed her lips. The chasm opened up to a circular clearing with more holes twisting into the darkness. A draft blew up from their left, giving Aislin a clear scent of water. "Mmmm..." She breathed contently.

Jaska's voice cracked the stillness. "Someone's here!"

Aislin wheeled around, eyes searching the darkness. Of course, she couldn't see anything, and her eyes glanced up to Jaska who -- Oh God, no! -- just snapped his handhold, quickly falling. Aislin only blinked her eyes and it was over, the thud of his small body hitting the stone floor her only cue.

"Jaska!" Aislin ran to where he fell, collapsing on her knees. "Jaska, kiddie, look at me, honey." She glanced him over with panicked eyes, gasping when she saw the stalagmite sticking out of his side. Tears streamed down his face as he clutched it, screaming.

"Oh fuck." Aislin swore under her breath. This is bad. Steps behind her stole Aisln's gaze, and she saw a blue, shimmery lady walk deeper into the caves. If this were X-Men Aislin might have accepted what she saw a little better, but there weren't suppose to be hermits living in the school's jungle. Period.

Aislin bit her lip, turning back to Jaska. He stopped screaming, only whimpers escaping his lips. Meaning to comfort, she put a hand on his forehead to only yank it off, shaking it vigorously in the cool cave air. Her palm seared with pain, she was sure it was burned. In the semi-darkness she couldn't tell how bad the burn was, but touching it left a distinct feeling of melted flesh. It was moments later when his eyes began to dimly glow, and Aislin knew something was very wrong. Jaska trembled, barely giving Aislin enough time to crawl back before he began thrashing out with red-hot limbs.

Jaska returned her panicked stare, pointing to the stairs. "R-run! I... Can.... can't... control it!"

"I won't leave you here!" Aislin said defiantly, despite the fear in her voice. Rising to her feet, Aislin stared at him with the most torn eyes. She had no idea if this was some kind of death process or what, but she couldn't just leave him here like this. God, he had family here! Jaska was her responsibility, she had to do what she could.

He looked less and less human as the little beast child thrashed on the floor. The stink of boiling copper filled the cave, and Aislin had the urge to throw up. She could hear blood sizzling, and a terrible shiver made her knees weak. "Fuck, Jaska. I'm sorry."

Aislin made record timing out of the cave, tripping over her own feet as she tumbled into the jungle clearing. Swaying shakily to her feet once more, Aislin cupped her hands around her mouth and screamed in a broken, desperate voice. "Heeeelp! Oh God, help please!"

Haggard, heavy breathing emanated from the cave's gaping darkness, and Aislin turned to face the entrance. Her feet slowly backed up as the jungle floor beneath her rippled and swirled out several meters. Whatever was in the cave now sounded monstrous and terrifying, but Aislin prayed to God it wasn't the kiddie. She could barely defend herself as it was, how could she hurt him? No, she would run. Flight was more her style anyway.

Her voice barely a whisper, Aislin peered into the darkness with frightened eyes.

"...Jaska?"

Red Winston, Christopher Fox, Victoria LaRouse, Shannon Balore, Deborah Termellio, "Pink" Vincigarru, and Ben Voss

Red was one of the first people to jump on the ship. Even though he was almost certain that Deborah would already know if something fishy was on the shipwreck, he still had to check things on his own, with his own eyes, his own perspective. He followed the group that was already aboard, while checking his surroundings. To his dismay, apart from the destruction around, there was nothing to noticable - or interesting - to grab his attention. The only thing that was out of place was some unnaturaly bent mettalic parts of the ship, although Red couldn't make the connection with Chris' ability. He was still ignorant of his time at the school, or his abilities to do so.

Victoria was one of the last people to board the ship, knowing what she would face up there. The stench that surrounded the deck, a result from the "hangouts" of the students was something that she hated. If she knew, she would have a mask with her, or at least a ton of air fresheners. The only one that stayed behind after her was Chris, who wasn't in a condition to climb the ladder Shannon created. That was a minor problem, though, because Victoria used her power to swap places with him, then climb up the stairs again. As soon as she climbed, she gave Chris a warm smile, to which Chris smiled back.

"You have an interesting power Victoria, I can give you that!"

"You should see the more creative ways I use my ability...This much is pretty standard to me!"

This conversation, however, was probably the last pleasant he would have while on the ship. Things around him started to shake him off, although not so much initially. He recognised the damage around him. Most of it was his doing. There were so many things he wanted to forget about this place, it made him sick. A shiver ran down his spine as soon as he entered the foyer, though.

It was here that it happened. One by one, memories of what happened here twelve years ago started to unravel. Chris mentally came back to the time where the shipwreck was in a better condition than this. The objects that remained from the time the ship came down were in their proper places, relocated by the students who were using it as their hangout at the time. Some metahumans even repaired the chandeliers in the foyer so they could be used at night. The metallic parts of the ship were intact at the time, giving the place more stability than it had now. It was perfect for a hangout, especially for the more "misbehaving" students, since it rarely - if ever - was observed by the staff of the school.

Chris wasn't a frequent visitor of the shipwreck, since it was usually full of people who would do something stupid and Chris didn't like that at all. He didn't really know what happened inside at the time, since he was a child back then, so he referred to what the older students did as stupid. Innocent times. It was back then that Chris was hot-headed, rushing to anything that seemed injust. That's what happened and set things off.

Deborah kept her oh-so-observant eye on Chris the entire time. She stared at him, not a single thing he did went unobserved by the extra-perceptive girl (Chris is regressing back to that day). This place is important to him, a defining moment I might add. I must learn more.... Deborah kept looking at Chris, letting the information pour, until she had seemingly lost herself. Deborah started scanning the room, nothing moving but her eyes. To an outside observer, it appeared as if she spaced out. Everything in here was a piece of information. A piece of a distant story. Something she must uncover. The information kept pouring into her head, and she loved it.... Until... that head of her started filling. Seconds passed, and more and more information kept pouring into her head... She just... Couldn't handle it!

She dropped to her knees and screamed at the top of her lungs. Grabbing the sides of her head. This was an information overload, her head was getting bombarded with more info than she could possibly process. It flooded her thoughts, she couldn't even think for herself. It was hellishly painful. Blood had begun dripping down from her nose and ears... Some even started leaking out from her eyes. "Make.... make it stoooooooooop!" She screamed loudly, thrashing around on the ground.

(Chris had ruined-This is what happens when you lose control- You should not have co-This school is a place of-Everyone here is worried about you-Your life is on the road to ruin-What is the Headmaster hiding...Bloodsucker is coming....)

Deborah could even tell what was going on with her power. What happened was that Deborah's power went on overdrive, telling her random bits and pieces of information.

"Debby!" Shannon shouted as she ran over to Deborah. She embraced her, wrapped her arms around her tightly. "What is wrong!? C-calm down!" She grabbed Deborah by the shoulders, staring her dead in the eyes. She was honestly at a lost for what to do. What in God's name had triggered all of this? "... It's... I'm going to get you out of here!" She shouted.

By the time Shannon had embraced her however, Deborah had already faded out of the world. Falling into a trance-like state. She... Didn't know how to describe it. Her drive to learn what happened here was finally going to be sated. Everything she wanted to see, and more, flashed before her mind's eye....

The vision showed that Chris had boarded the ship with Henry and Vera. He wouldn't normally go to the shipwreck, but it was a magnificent night to go check the sea from there. A few hours after their arrival, one of the older students found it rationable to hit on Vera, in a not so appropriate way, to add. Chris was ticked by this and the provocative demeanor of the other party made things worse, leading to a quarrel, which took bigger proportions when their abilities got involved. Chris was on the losing side, quite beat-up from the more experienced student. However, the situation forced Chris to tap to the very dephts of his capabilites, granting him a collosal boost of his powers, at the cost of his control over them. With his powers out of control, little by little, screws of the ship were attracted to him, then whole pillars of metal and many other metallic objects were flying around the ship. The ship shaked, being so unstable that most of the students fell down and were dragged to whichever side the ship was moving to.

The students that were alarmed soon enough didn't think twice before using their powers to get out of the shipwreck and save their lives. The guy Chris was fighting, along with 10 more people weren't so lucky though. Chris' power also misplaced one of the chandeliers, which took his arm away, the crystalline parts of it causing him the many scars on his body and taking his consciousness away.

It wasn't long before Deborah awoken. Wondering what the hell just happened. She was still experiencing a pain like no other, but the overload, the overload just stopped.... She didn't feel right in the head. The room was spinning, and there was a pounding headache as she tried to process everything that she just learned. Her eyes were half-opened as she looked around, her vision was blurry. Deborah's face felt wet. She lazily used a hand to swipe whatever off her face, and when she looked at her hand... it was covered in blood. She jolted, then everything began to sink in, and become clear to her. What happened here... she suffered a nasty information overload. She hung her head, and put a palm to her forehead. She went overboard. Again.

"... Debby?" Shannon asked her, with puppy eyes. Deborah didn't even notice that someone was holding onto her. "Are you... okay?"

Deborah didn't waste any time in embracing Shannon, quietly saying, "... Yeah, yeah, I'm fine..." A tear went down her eye. "I... Just want to leave here."

The memories that flashed through made Chris sit on his knees, showering in his sweat and mumbling to himself so fast that he wasn't making any sense. Red noticed a small, metal shard going near Chris. Then another one. It was the worst possible way to finally make a connection between Chris and the shipwreck.

"Oh, no...Things are gonna turn really bad if what's happening right now is what I think it is..."

When Chris fell to his knees, Deborah's head darted towards him. She was coming-to, slowly, but had enough of her senses to know what was going on. When the shard slid over the ground towards Chris, Deborah's eyes widened (... He is losing control). Suddenly, Deborah panicked (This is only the beginning), her heart started racing, she gasped, an she started crawling away from him, pulling Shannon with her. "He's losing control! Everyone move!"

Deborah could barely walk straight right now, when she tried to climb to her feet, she almost fell over. Which is where Shannon stepped in and threw her arm over her shoulder. Helping her get out the door.

Red had already figured out that Chris was losing it. They had to move quick. Red had to process everything in a matter of seconds, but things turned complicated when a bending sound happened. A big supporting pillar of the ship was bending and more and more shards were gathering around him. It wasn't long before the ship itself started shaking, endagering their lives.

"You heard Deborah! Everyone head to the rafts! Things will turn ugly any moment now!"

Victoria followed Deborah's advice and headed to the door. She stood there to help the others get out with her power, replacing the falling debris with any light object she could see at the time. As soon as Shannon and Deborah made it to the exit, Victoria followed them, supporting Deborah from the other shoulder. She hoped that Shannon wouldn't mind for once to get help from someone else, since it was an emergency.

Meanwhile Ben was working to make sure everyone had gotten out safely. He played caboose on the way out, his goliath form allowing him to potentially sponge some impact from the ship if something went wrong. With an inhuman sound, huge treetrunks shot out of the floot, smashing through the metal and curving around the entrance to provide support. The golem then turned, and slowly but steadily began picking up speed. It's footfalls were heavy and shook the ground slightly. It took several seconds for it to reach a running pace, but by the time it did it was already upon Deborah, Shannon, and Victoria. But Ben was ready for this. With arms wide and open the great golem scooped up all three of the girls with one arm without breaking it's pace, and only began to slow down as soon as it exited the ship. Huge and thick vines shot out of the sand and wrapped around Ben's body to keep his avatar from running into the water with the girls in his arms. He skidded, but slowed enough to deposite the girls onto the rafts, and then began to push the raft they were on away towards the main island. He turned back and waited for Red and Chris to come out, he wouldn't leave without them. Not yet.

"What the hell?!" Pink loudly shouted from the water front. She didn't want to go on the boat for herself, rather stay in the water and relax. Then a bunch of screaming could be heard, then everything started shaking and falling apart! Pink couldn't handle it, she was about to bail out when Ben came charging out of the shipwreck and dropped the gals that were with them on the raft. Whatever the hell happened in there, it might be raw. Whatever the case, Pink was going to help. "Big man!" Pink shouted, she manipulated the water around the raft again, and started pushing the raft back towards the shore. "I got them, you get the others!"

Red was left alone with Chris in the foyer by now. The situation demanded Red to act quickly, but with the metallic shards moving towards Chris, it was far to difficult to approach him to get him out of the shipwreck. He tried taking a step closer, but a shard cut part of his suit, at the height of his right bicep, although it didn't harm him. He considered leaving Chris, but then he thought that he would be letting another person die in front of him.

Bracing himself for a painful experience, Red approached Chris step by step, the shards tearing his suit apart, eventually wounding his body. Red finally approached Chris and tried to reason with him. Nothing that he said would go through his head, though. Chris was shut off from any outside sound at the moment. It was after tenuous thinking that Red finally found something to get through him.

"Chris, if you don't stop now, you will get me killed! You will have killed one more person! Since I am not planning on leaving you behind, just get back to your senses and stop!"

A shard cut a deep wound on Red's right side of the forehead then, causing intense bleeding and blurring of his respective eye. However, it seemed that this was the last metallic shard to move towards him and the only thing that could be heard was the ship's moving and Chris' panting. Understanding that Chris came back to his senses, Red didn't lose any time. He picked Chris and piggy-backed him to the exit, but it was obstructed by yet another metallic pillar. Red laughed at the irony and was about to give up.

"Well, I tried..." he said to himself.

Suddenly, the big chunk of metal started to move and Red turned his head to see Chris' arm raised towards the direction it was. He didn't have to think what was going on and just dashed out as fast as he could. He headed to the direction the rafts was and jumped in the water. He emerged a few seconds later, swam to the rafts, helped Chris get on and then boarded them himself. The injury on his forehead was bleeding more than before and it messed his whole right side, the blood dropping on the floor. He was feeling a bit dizzy too.

"This will probably leave a mark..."

Ben, seeing that the other two had gotten out, followed quickly in suit, pushing the raft off and then, well, his whole avatar fell apart piece by piece. It had been running on battery life here on the ship wreck, and now most of it was drained. That and the addition of getting wet dampened his power as well. As his avatar fell apart Ben fell out of the golem, but didnt remain the way he was to catch his breath for long. With the power a big man like himself had, he pushed himself up and ran into the water, pulling himself onto the raft that Chris and Red were on. He was no medic, but anyone could tell they were both out of it. Red had a head injury, and Chris was probably in shock. He wished he could call out to Pink, but with his injury he couldnt. He simply waved in her direction hoping to catch her attention.

The raft went to shore, and Shannon and Deborah jumped out of them like they've seen a ghost. Deborah hit the sand, and lied there on her back, panting. Jesus, this whole trip was a disaster. But what happened back there...? She saw the course of events like she was a bystander. A vision. This was... something else. She would have to describe it to Adam later. But for now, she just wanted to sleep. Her head was on fire, she was in pain, and blood was dripping down everywhere.

Though, Shannon came by with a cloth and wiped off the blood from Deborah's face. "You can't go back to school looking like that, now can you...?" She knelt down above her injured lover. Both their eyes had connected. "I hope you're okay, Debs." She put a hand on Deborah's shoulder.

"... I think I'm fine...." Deborah began to get up on her behind, coming at even level with Shannon's face. "... With you here, I'm even better." She said, with a smile. Right now, she wasn't too self-conscious about keeping her little secret. There were more important things going on here.

Shannon actually smiled, "... Maybe once we're alone, we can improve upon even that."

"Sure." Deborah was hoisted over Shannon's shoulder again, her lover was shorter than her by two inches, so it wasn't too much of an effort. She thought it was about time they end this little incursion and head back to school. But first... "Alright, is everyone okay!?" Deborah shouted loudly, "Let's get out of here! This was a disaster!"

Nicholas Raynor, Adam Blackmore, & Sylvia Bertoose.

a little while later...

Nicholas finally found himself sighing in relief, dropping the sponge he was using into the bucket which he was given and sitting down next to the now clean wall, looking over at Sylvia. The entire time, he had found himself being harrassed by her singing and talking, and while it had been bad, it could have been much worse. Maybe she -wasn't- so bad, considering that she hadn't made any serious attempts to harm him physically. Still wasn't a fan of being told that she wanted to do certain things with him. Still, once he was done, he pulled out a small gaming device, like before, from his backpack, quickly snapping it on and distracting himself from Sylvia's actions by taking a light, well-deserved break.

... Once again Adam demonstrated how good he is at getting the drop on his students by appearing over Nick (He was distracted anyway). He swiftly snatched the gaming device out of his hands. Dramatically holding still with the handheld. For a moment, it looked like he was about to give Nick hell for what he did. "... I see you are done." He calmly said handing the electronic back to the child. "Good work, but I am not finished with you just yet." He wagged his finger back and forth. "I believe you should have to make up for that class you missed... If you would be so kind to follow me..."

"Ooooh, I wanna watch my boy-friend material do his thang." Sylvia hopped up to her feet. She was going to follow Nick around everywhere he went. Or else she won't be happy - Because she's not making him happy. She skipped over to Adam.

"... Unfortunately, Ms. Bertoose, your presence is not neccessary. I have to ask you stay here." Adam was quick to shoot her down. The last thing he needed was her interrupting his class the second her attention-span ran out.

Oh pooey. Sylvia thought to herself. There goes all of her plans to screw with him! Oh well. While Sylvia wanted to screw with Nick, she knew when to fold 'em, and what was a lost cause. And she knew everything involving Adam is a lost cause. She shrugged, and slung her guitar strap around her shoulder. "Oh well, I guess I'll see you later, Nicky-boy." Sylvia tipped her hat at Nick, before she walked past him. Just to see if it would make his little-willy rise (for a change!) she gave him a quick and unexpected peck on the cheek. "... But when I do see you again, imma make your ass happier than Pharrell. See ya!" Sylvia skipped away.

Did...she just...

As the girl kissed him, he felt his cheeks grow a deep red. He...hadn't ever been kissed by a girl before. His mind felt numbed for a moment, before he quickly shook off the emotion. Stupid girl, toying with his emotions. Ugh. Slowly, he turned towards Adam, still amazed at his capability to surprise him, even though he usually was more observant. Sadly, playing video games kind of nullified that perception. He reached out, and took the gaming console back, turning it off and putting it back and away from his backpack. He then watched Sylvia skip off, before sighing. "...Wow. I just can't tell what her deal is. Anyways, sir, lets get going. I'm quite happy to learn what I can as long as its not in a huge group. My name is Nicholas Raynor, by the way." He noted, sticking his hands into his pockets as he prepared to follow the elderly man.

Sylvia smirked as she looked back. Checkmate!

Adam tipped his glasses, and stared Sylvia off. What a troublesome child indeed. Though, Adam personally didn't understand children like her were up to half the time either, but he was more concerned with the parenting skills that molded her. Adam shook his head as he continued down the hallway. "That is just Ms. Bertoose. One of the more... troublesome students." He explained, "Fortunately, her antics are more annoying than harmful." He continued, his voice was stern and frank. "I know what your name is, Mr. Raynor. It is fine, we can continue and do what you were supposed to do."

The walk was silent, just the way Adam liked to keep it. There wasn't much more for the elder to say to the student other than those few words. He nodded his head as he lead Nick to the Training Hall. Quite the building. Easily the largest one on this island, and Adam's stomping grounds. He opened the door for Nick, before stepping in himself. Adam went past the many rooms of the halls, each were modified to suit a specific power, or purpose. However, they were walking past the public rooms. Adam, and the rest of the instructors, had their own private training room. For little things like this.

Opening the door with a key, Adam walked into the massive octagon shaped room made out of pure metal. Shiny too. The lights overhead provided light. He walked into the middle of the room, with a clipboard behind his back. It was time to get to work. Adam began writing on it, ".... Okay, class is in session." He finished writing, "This should be quick and simple if you are willing, okay? Your power is healing flames? All I want you to do right now is demonstrate your power.... Nothing flashy... and I do not plan on injuring myself so you can heal it either." Adam shot Nick a questionable glare.

Oh dear. It seems Adam was a lot more intimidating than he had first assessed, and had hoped, at one point. He slowly sighed, moving to take off his backpack and set it to the side of the room, before moving back in front of Adam. He closed his eyes, garnering up his will and trying to focus at the task at hand. He had to prove his power, correct? Which meant one thing. He needed to harm himself. So with that in mind, he pulled back his right hand, and...no joke, punched himself right in the face. Specifically, the nose.

"... Mr. Raynor, that was not neccessary...." Adam pulled his head back with his eyes wide open. He hadn't expected that. "I should have iterated that you don't need to injure yourself either."

As he pulled away his right hand, his nose dripped blood from it, a sign that he had, no doubt, just broken his nose. Huh. Maybe he didn't think about how hard he had punched himself? Either way, once he was finished, he spoke. "...I-Its a bit late for that, sir. Still..." He continued, before raising the same right hand into the air, as in a surge of energy, a white flame took hold on his hand, before he slowly pushed his palm up to his face. "Its not neccessary to worry about me. I'm just fine." He stated. Not only did he sound as nervous, but there was a certain level of strange confidence to his voice. Something that not only wasn't there before, but seemed to power through the pain that had to be there. When he removed his hand, his nose was completely healed, with no more drops of blood, save what had already fallen onto the floor.

It looked like Adam was incorrect, and that Nicholas knew what he was doing. He pushed his glasses up his nose, as he watched Nicholas use his healing fire. This seemed interesting. As Nick spawned the fire, Adam was gaining innate information about it, and even more information when it healed his broken nose. "Very, very, interesting." Adam had to add. "... But next time, just make the flame." There was the things Nicholas had to improve upon with his ability. Adam couldn't see much in his potential, so he had to come up with a few things to tell him. Simple techniques.

"I believe you have a power that relies on thinking outside the box. Which means it's purely limited by your creativity with it. It is very possible for you to pull rather damaging moves while using your healing flames to push yourself through it. You already demonstrated that you're willing to cause yourself harm...."
Adam did a fake cough, putting a fist to his mouth. "Any questions?"

Nicholas listened closely. Hrm. Creativity? That was an interesting concept to use, by itself, concerning his powers. Not to mention, the idea of using particularly harmful movements and using his power to mend the wounds of such a movement is useful for specific situations, that it is. Still, something bothered him as he thought over this, placing his right finger over his chin. "I see...then will you actually be training me next class, sir?" He asked outright, moving to lower his hand back into his pocket, before speaking again. "And what should I do in the meantime? Is there anything I could read, or look into that could help me accelerate my training process? I want to make the most of my time here, after all."

Adam nodded his head, so Nicholas wanted to know about what to do in the meantime. That was such dedication. "Yes, I can indeed help you next class..." He tipped his glasses and gave him a narrow glare, "... Just show up next time." He started writing on his clipboard some more, before turning his attention back to Nick. "As for what to do, I suggest enjoying your afternoon. You have plenty of time to practice... but if you must, I highly suggest finding a partner." Adam coughed again, putting the clipboard behind his back. "Because nothing is more training than someone to do it with.... Unfortunately, there are no books that can possibly help you."

Nick slowly nodded, moving to grab ahold of his backpack and slinging it onto his back via one strap. "Alright. I'll definitely show up tomorrow. Just...yeah. I'll be there." He found himself finishing, almost catching himself giving an excuse before slapping it metaphorically out of his mouth. Last time he did that, he got a firm talking to from one of his teachers. Lets -not- have that happen again. Even so, as he listened, he lowered his eyelids in thought. Hrm. Enjoy his day. Not the best of advice, but he supposed the teacher had a point. He -didn't- want to stay in doors all day, and definitely allowing himself some time to get to know the others would be helpful in the long run. With that, he turned around, opening the entrance to the room and walking out, before heading back towards the student dorms. Well, -this- had been an interesting experience. At least Sylvia wasn't stalking him anymore.

Jaska Din Valos

... It begins.

The child's eyes suddenly shot wide open, glowing with a golden light, bringing life to what appeared to be a lifeless child. But there was something off here. He was, cold, robotic. Not having that spark that he usually had. It showed in his expression, it was blank, apathetic. What expressed that more than anything was the way he got up. Even though he was impaled, he put his claws on the ground and pushed himself off of it rather nonchalantly. It left behind a hole that went clean through him. Exposing some of his organs to the world and oozing boiling hot blood. However, the wound was closing quickly. He stood there for a moment, breathing loudly. There was something strange going on with his body. It slowly began to change up. Muscles expanding and strengthening, claws and teeth lengthening, growing tough scales... All at an extremely slow rate. It seemed that his body was more focused on closing this wound than anything. Jaska hunched over, he began snarling quietly. The wound wasn't quite shut yet, still, he was on the prowl.

He smelled prey.

The Beast Child took slow steps forward towards the exit. Making heavy steps as he did so. His claws scraped the floor with every step, causing a scratch mark. Blood had dripped down to the ground, sizzling. He moved towards the odor, Aislin, who was still nearby... He could smell her. Jaska continued his ominous march. It wasn't long before he approached the stairs, and Aislin speaking all but confirmed her position. Jaska's vision pierced through the shadows, going up the stairs at a slow pace. His clawed hand reached out through the darkness, and was pressed against the wall, he closed his eyes and hung his head. There was a moment of silence as he just... stopped. Only an ominous breathing sound echoed it's way out of the staircase. Jaska looked down at his wound, it was just about closed. The heavy breathing had stopped.

His injuries were healed, which meant it was time to attack. Those glowing eyes opened again wide as ever, piercing through the darkness as he jumped out. With that death blow healed, his body could focus on his transformation. It was not an instant transformation, technically he was still in the process of it. The more he transforms, the stronger he gets. He was getting larger. His body had expanded and grown, with his muscles building up - With his tail getting thicker. His body was growing a large amount of scales, that grew larger and thicker as time passed, his right arm was already covered in tiny scales. His claws were growing a threatening length, the blade on his tail was getting larger too. His teeth was larger, and more threatening. He was seemingly growing a snout, as his nose and mouth were extending, similar to other beasts of prey. The air was waving around him - As he was giving off an unbearable heat, and soon enough, he exploded into a wreath of flames. This was no longer Jaska - The beast inside of him had taken over, and began to grow in power, and rage. There would be no reasoning with him, as there were no mind left in his head to reason with.

Jaska jumped up the stairs, out of the darkness. Showing Aislin the monstrous shape he had taken. He kept snarling at her, his teeth had grown to the point where he couldn't help but bear them. Beast-Jaska took a step towards her, slamming his very foot into the concrete until it cracked.

He let out a powerful roar that vibrated throughout the jungle. One that sounded deep and monstrous already. The signal for creatures great and small that the apex predator is on the hunt. Because Jaska had his eyes on his prey. Standing right in front of him, coiling in fear.

And the hunt's on.

Theresa Sindel Obott.

What was that? Theresa thought to herself as she roamed these jungles. A roar...? A roar had filled her ears. That was not a good sign. Usually it was an animal showing anger, or dominance. Especially how close it was... It didn't sound like any animal Theresa had heard before. She had spent plenty of time hunting in these jungles, and never heard anything like that. Theresa started twiddling with her thumbs... looking around nervous as all hell. Theresa's emotion was a mixture of curiosity (I want to know what that is) and fear (I don't want that to attack me). Still, Theresa didn't want to second-guess herself here. She knew that inner-drive for adventure was telling her to just go. What is the worst that could possibly go wrong? Theresa made her way towards the roar, but she had her bow ready. A arrow was in the bowstring, against the nock, and she had a hand on the upper limb, holding it sideways. An arrow wasn't the most effective weapon, but it was the only thing she had. Other than that knife around her belt, but she wasn't the up front person.

And if it blows up in her face, at least she can regenerate.

Sheryl Kinsgley, Mykolas Astraukas, and Ayumu Nakamoto

Her brothers were unhappy with her. She felt their exasperated stares behind her as she leaned against the rail, staring at the island rapidly coming into view; they would probably be at the Academy in a few minutes. Well, they weren't the only ones that were unhappy with her so they all might as well just have a 'let's hate Sheryl's duplicates' boat ride. They were a day late because her two duplicates weren't there when they were expected to arrive. The Sheryl traveling around in Asia took longer than she should have and the Sheryl in the UK had her flight delayed so neither of them were there the day before when the three siblings were supposed to be leaving for the Academy. Sheryl never realized how annoying it was to have to wait for somebody who was late until it was two of herself holding herself up. She whirled around to look at Myk and Ayu, still annoyed with her for her tardiness. They had adopted the 'disappointed mother' look with pursed lips and arms crossed over their chests. Smiling at them, Sheryl shrugged and said, "It's really not my fault."

"How is it not your fault?" Myk asked with raised eyebrows. He realized that it didn't have the effect he was looking for since he was wearing his sunglasses and had his jacket's hood up, effectively blocking out the sunlight from his face while making his facial expressions harder to see. But he tried and that was enough. How his sister thought that she could put the blame on anybody else's shoulders when there was nobody to blame but her, was beyond him. To be truthful though, Myk didn't mind that they were a day late. The delay gave him more time to pack even more of his garden friends into luggage carriers to bring with him. At the moment, he had a king protea stuck in the left pocket of his cargo pants and a baby Siberian chipmunk in the right pocket. They were quite happy there if the nuzzling from the baby chipmunk and the dancing flower was any indication. Myk hadn't told Sheryl or Ayu yet that he had some birds, a squirrel or two, and a couple rabbits in carriers with him. Oops.

Ayu grinned back at his sister and laughed a bit when he saw the baby chipmunk in Myk's pocket. He said, "It totally is your fault. It's actually both of your faults now that I think about it." He tapped his chin thoughtfully. "That means there's double the fault!" He didn't think that made any sense really but neither did he care. He was still a kid and therefore any immaturity could be placed on his quickly dwindling youth. He was going to do a bunch of dumbass shit later and nobody can stop him. Yes, he would. But then he felt the unimpressed deadpan stares from his older brother and sister on him and knew that none of that was ever gonna happen with them there. Jeez, it was like they knew what he was thinking and they don't even have that power. Maybe he'll try and convince them to do wicked cool badass rebel punk things with him later.

Sheryl had great reasons on why it was not her fault, but she didn't get to say them as they had reached the Academy and the ship had already docked. She puffed out her cheeks as both Myk and Ayu left without listening to her. She rolled her eyes. Brothers. Running after the two of them, she slung her arms around Ayu's neck since she couldn't comfortably reach up to Myk's. She grinned nonchalantly at the two of them. "You can't just leave me mid-conversation. That's rude, what would our parents say?"

Admittedly, Ayu choked a bit when Sheryl slung her arm around his neck. He was pulled towards her and his upper body awkwardly leaned in her direction. He was too busy trying to get out of her hold and being distracted by the new scenery to say anything back. Sisters. They were so annoying when they was nothing to take.

"It's just as rude to make us late," Myk replied. He hated bad first impressions. If anybody made a big deal out of their delay, he'd bake a whole bunch of cupcakes and give them them to everyone he met. He swore it upon the graves of the baby Siberian chipmunk's parents. That was a promise he would have to keep. He didn't hear any snarky comments from Ayu and glanced in his younger siblings' direction. Sheryl was absentmindedly choking her brother. If he was as immature as they were, he'd roll his eyes. Siblings. They walked along to the Administrative building to get settled into their dormitories. Instead of getting a speech about the code of conduct in the auditorium as they were supposed to, they got a transcript of it instead. It was lucky that they were only a day late.

Neither of the brothers cared that much about going to find their roommates actually. They did know that they would all be going the same way inevitably as Myk wanted to go to the park and Ayu only wanted to go to the place with the largest collection of people. Sheryl wanted to get to know her roommate. Hopefully, the two of them would become friends and hang out together. Once reaching the receptionist, only Sheryl bothered with getting a room number, key, and a roommate who might not even be in the room seeing as how it was four in the afternoon.

Curious, Ayu asked, "Who did you get?"

Sheryl read the name off the slip of paper, "Rosette Sauveterre. Sounds French. I hope she's nice." She looked over at Myk. "Do you think you can get me a rose so I can introduce myself super cheesily towards her?" She could just picture it now. A stereotypical lesbian movie set in Paris, France where she would hand a pretty French girl a bouquet of roses that matched the French mademoiselle's name and there would be a shimmering background with a budding romance as well as a ton of bad flower puns. Sheryl could feel the judgement coming from Myk and the laughter from Ayu. Since when did thee three of them get sibling telepathy powers in the first place? She was absolutely certain that none of them could read minds.

"You're right; it is French. And I probably could get you some roses, but I don't think I should," Myk said. He hoped she wasn't thinking of attempting to woo her roommate. It was only funny the first time in high school until Sheryl turned a previously-heterosexual-girl into a lesbian that had accidentally said, "I'm in lesbians with you." to her. Sheryl gave him the look that she knew Myk was 'totally going to give into my will so you might as well give in now and save your embarrassment further' to which replied with the look that said 'I'm not letting you make your roommate think you're a sexual pervert, but it's not my problem so fine. I'll give you rose.' Actually, he didn't really give her a look that told her that. He said that part out loud because he was good at specific facial expressions, but he wasn't that good. From the basket he carried around with him for moments such as this, he took out a rose. It bloomed in his hands and he gave it to her. And Sheryl laughed when she first saw his power in action; look who was benefiting now.

Ayu watched as his unfairly tall brother (who should have looked so stupid with a picnic basket but didn't) hand his shorter (than even him) sister a rose. Then he watched as Sheryl skipped off without looking back at them to the dorms. She just left him behind. That was so not cool. Looking at Myk, who he wasn't as close to because he never let him steal anything, he yelled out a good-bye to him as he ran after Sheryl. He didn't know where the student lounges were except they were probably in the student dorms. Yeah, he so totally just deserted his older bro. That made him rebellious and totally awesome.

Myk watched as Ayu ran after Sheryl. He didn't really mind. They would probably upset the animals and the flowers here in their current excited emotions. The tiny Siberian chipmunk, that really needed a name, looked up at him with terrifyingly persuasive eyes that only tiny, adorable animals could pull off. It seemed like he was heading to the park. He wandered to the west wing where both the student dorms and the park was. It seemed like he would have to soothe the animals and plants anyway if his siblings were nearby.
