"Welcome to Waverly Academy you have been accepted to attend and learn how to control your gift..." Kat toss the letter on the bench and sat down waiting for a taxi. She couldn't believe she got in and was nervous about going. She got in the taxi and headed to the school with her bag and a photo of her family the corner burnt off. Sighing she put her head back and close her eyes to relax and when she woke she was at the school.

She got out and walk up and went to find her dorm. Off to the side some students were watching for newbies and seeing what ones is more to the dark side. They notice Emma but turn their heads back to watching. She headed into the school and walk down the hallway and stopped to look at pictures of past students and the founders of the school.

Izo waited for a taxi, tapping his foot against the ground. He was impatient. He just got his last big hit, and he needs to leave pronto. At least, before everything in the store melts and the police come, thinking they might have found him. Finally the taxi drives up and he hops in, telling the driver his destination, leaning back. He didn't sleep, his eyes constantly scanning the area, attempting to memorize the route to the school. All he had with him was his clothes, and a small suitcase. Part of it was the money he just stole, part of it was his clothes. The school apparently paid his ride up, they must have really wanted him off the streets. The only sucky part of this was having to get away from his criminal habits. He looked at every situation with the opportunity to gain something to benefit himself.

His eyes narrowed as he arrived at the school, stepping out. He immediately scanned the area, eyes narrowed. Many people were here, many of which would not notice if someone picked their pocket. He slowly moved forward, a tight grip on his handle. His shoulders were tense, as if he was expecting something to happen at any moment. He spotted the people at the side watching as others came in, eyes narrowed slightly at them, studying them much as they studied him.

Azalea stood next to the street pole, one arm wrapped around it as the other was resting in her pockets. She stood there in silence for a couple of minutes, one large red suitcase at her side. Moments past as the taxi slowly pulled up, it was silent as she got into the car. "Miss, do you know where your headin'? Looks like you can't see there." The old man chuckled which soon died off when Azalea showed no emotion. She lifted the black sleep mask from her face, her piercing red eyes locking on the taxi drivers. "Drive." And with that, the car took off.

Her small frail body dragged the rather heavy suitcase behind her as she arrived on the school grounds. The sleeping mask gripped tightly in her hands, she adverted all eye contact while she began to make her way through the crowd of whispers. She was used to the eyes by now, it had been that way for as long as she remembered. She had always been treated like a child, due to her height and size she resembled one quite well. It wasn't everyday that you saw a dainty girl with white hair and doe-like red eyes. Azalea glanced around quickly, stumbling a bit as she barely managed to haul to suit case with her.

It's a new World

Samantha caught a cab at the airport her meager baggage in the trunk as she sat in the back seat. As she rode along Sam's thought drifted to thoughts of Waverly Academy and how strange it might be attending a school where everyone knew she was different.

She had for several years now enjoyed a kind of anonymity where only her best friend knew about her gift. At Waverly she was going to be exposed and among others that while not sharing her gift were gifted like herself.

Her worry over her present situation was canceled as the taxi drove up to the entrance of her new school. As the cab came to a stop Sam checked out how she looked adjusting her hair an clothing with her gift. She then paid the driver an collected her things then headed up the academy steps.

Soon she was in her dorm room unpacking her things. Sam giggled as she put away her underware and thought of how they were her only true articles of clothing because everything else she wore was part of her shape shifting ability, often she appeared in public wearing nothing as she depended on her shape shift to clothe her.

Keith sat vertically on the schools building defying gravity. His shadow moved like a snake under him as he played with a knife in between his fingers. " I hate you sun." He says looking directly at it. He leans backwards and disappears into his own shadow. He reappears by the schools entrance and walks in followed by unnatural black smoke which is actually his shadow.

Alexander was being pushed into the cab by his foster parents as he trys to break free and run. Alex yelled at his foster parents, "I don't need to go to this Academy, I don't need help controlling my powers, I can handle myself." His foster parents yelled back, "It's fine it's only for a while until you can actually control your power and by the end of the year you can decide if you want to stay or not." Then his foster parents finally pushed him in and quickly closed the door to the cab and said to Alexander, " Well we already packed your bags in the trunks so goodbye Alex." Alex sat upright and the car started moving and decided not to break out since he's going to give the academy a chance.

As the taxi pulled up near the school, Alexander got out and grabbed his suitcase from the trunk of the cab. He walked to the entrance and went inside the academy to find his dorm but got lost so he just wondered around a bit since he didn't know where he was going. He looked down each hall hopefully looking for someone to help him with directions.

John was looking at the other students at the academy and he wondered if any of them were any good with their gifts. he a couple who looked like they had potential but he would be the superior one since he believed that his gift was the greatest. He wondered why he was even coming to this school, he had only terrorized a few of the neighborhood scumbags and frightened a couple of mean girls by turning their precious cute little dogs into terrifying monsters which they said gave them nightmares and traumatized them for life, what a bunch of pathetic drama queens he thought to himself as his parents received a later asking him to attend Waverly Academy for gifted people people like him.

His parents said that it would be a good opportunity for him to meet some friends and John did admit that he didn't have any friends because they were afraid of him, maybe he could befriend others who were like him. but he still had his doubts since he had read enough children's books to expect the goodie two shoes students would try and lecture him on being a better person with gifts, he spat at the idea. he didn't want to be evil but he found the self righteous types of people to be insufferable.

Now that he was at the school he was curious to see his possible competition and he morphed his right arm into a mass of green tentacles and his hand into the head a great white shark and he made black bone spikes grow out of his shoulder. this was his way of telling the other students not to do anything stupid with him. John wondered how his first semester at the academy would turn out and if there would be any trouble that he would have to sort out.

Kat held her bags walking down the hallways completely loss. She had no idea where to go and was backing up to turn around when she ran into Alexander. She fell and her bags went everywhere and her stuff and look up. "I I I'm so sorry. I got lost a and I was going to try to go back where I was and I'm sorry have I said that already?" She could never speak normal around a guy especially one as cute as him.

Azalea inched her way along the ground slowly but surely, dodging and weaving in and out of other students. Her suitcase occasionally grazed a toe in which she apologized and kept moving, faster each time. By now she was practically pushing through the crowd, her eyes locked on the ground while she avoided eye contact with the other students. She could have easily stopped every one in what they were doing and ordered them to move, but then her secret would have been out. She couldn't expose herself, not yet.

"Excuse me please." Azalea spoke softly to the boy named Izo who was blocking her way. She had lost her patience only after a second leading her to push past him quickly, stumbling due to her obnoxiously large bag. She reached out for balance, grabbing onto the thing nearest to her in which this case it was the boy. She gasped softly, quickly pulling her hand away once she had retrieved her steadiness. He was ice cold to the bone. Azalea glanced up at him for a split second, her cheeks almost as red as her eyes. "I'm sorry, my apologies." She whispered softly, bowing her head as she looked down making sure to loose eye contact. She chose her words carefully, if she would have said something along the lines of 'forgive me', that could have ended in a scene of him down on his knees begging. She had learned from her many mistakes. Azalea stood there a few moments before beginning to walk away, hauling the luggage behind her.

Sam left her dorm room to explore the school her clothing shifted to a cute outfit she'd seen a girl in first class on the plane wearing. Her hair style was now a dutch braid that was more neatly done than any hair stylist could ever accomplish.

She wandered the school for a bit till she found the gymnasium and it was empty. Spying the balance beam and spring board Sam looked around then shifted her clothes to leotards like she wore back at her old school.

She ran and hit the spring board going into a flip and landing on the beam she giggled then began a complex routine that would have won her gold at the olympics. She finished with a twisting double back flip landing on the mat making the sound of a cheering crowd. She so wished that Shelia were here because her friend would have been laughing and enjoying her silliness with her.

Izo heard from behind him the words that people use to get others out of there way, he had just about turned his head to offer a snide comment when the person pushed by him, having obvious difficulty due to the stupidly large bag. Who needs that much stuff? He survived on the bare necessities for many years. He stood rigid, not moving even as she pushed by him. When she almost fell, he made no move to prevent her falling, feeling her warm hand grab into him, before letting out a small gasp and withdrawing. His icy eyes locked on her face, no sign of care or compassion on his face before he hissed, refusing to forgive her," watch where your going you pathetic little girl."

Before she could respond, he walked away, walking in a straight line and not diverting his path for anything. He walked into the dorm building, eyes on the surrounding area, pulling his light suitcase behind him. He knew what his room was, and approximately how the building was laid out, and so was pretty confident of how to find it. After a little walking, he walked apon Alex and Kat, rolling his eyes at the girls inability to communicate. He hoped everyone wasn't so damn stupid as everyone else he'd seen. He skirted around the edge, once again not offering help, and walking off. Not long afterwards he found his dorm, stepping inside. The very first thing he did was change the thermostat to be much colder then it already was. He by far prefered the cold, his favorite temperatures are from 60 degree Fahrenheit and below. Anything above was getting on the warmer side for him. It was why he tended to live in cold areas.

Alex was walking around still confused on where he should be going since it's his first time at the academy. Until a girl bumped into him and all her stuff and bags went all over the place so he decided to help her pick it back up. As he went to pick some of the stuff and bags he said to the girl, "It's fine, I don't mind, accidents happen oh and your not the only one lost, I'm Alex by the way." He walked to the girl with some of her stuff and held it out for her to grab.

Kat smile softly and took her bags and stood fix her hair. "I'm kat just kat it not short for anything" she said softly and look around. "Glad I'm not the only one getting lost. I been here a half hour and still haven't found my dorm. Nice to meet you Alex" she smile and put her bags on her shoulders. "So uh what brought you here?"

She stood there motionless, her mouth hanging open slightly. Those three words rang through her mind, almost engraved in her brain now. Pathetic little girl. It wasn't the words that bothered Azalea, it was the way he had said it. His tone, bitter and cold. Nobody had ever spoke to her like that before or put her in her place. The corner of her lips curled into a smile as she tilted her head to the side, watching him walk away leaving a trail of bitterness behind him. If it was a game of hardball he wanted to play, she would be more than happy to play.

Azalea was now silent as she reached the end of the group of students engrossed in gossip. She glanced around at a few other students with suitcases, leaving her to assume they had also just arrived. She refrained from speaking to anybody else and carried on with finding her way around on her own, slipping inside the school through a door that had been left open by an upperclassmen. Her mind was set on getting rid of her luggage and that's just what she did, throwing it inside her dorm room once she had discovered it. At the end of the hallway were two wide double doors, her curiosity getting the better of her. Azalea wandered quietly down the long hallway, humming softly until she reached the double doors. She knocked before the door opened with a loud creak. "H-Hello?" She said softly, gasping as she cautiously stepped inside, leaving the door open an inch behind her. The walls lined with thousands of books all different colors and sizes, a sweet smile forming.

Alex smiled a little, "Well I got here just a few minutes ago and my parents thought that going to this academy would be a good opportunity for me since they think that I can't control my gift, but I definitely can." Then Alex closed his eyes and concentrated really hard trying not to look foolish especially in front of a beautiful girl like Kat. Then a rose appeared in his hand since he thought she might like roses and said to her, "See I can totally control it," he held the rose out to Kat, "You can have it if you like."

Kat smile and felt sadness in her hearing his parents are alive and it must mean his gift isn't dangerous. She watch and blush seeing the rose and took it. "Awe thanks it so sweet and amazing what you can do" she then frown "aw man the first guy who is cute sweet and gave me a rose hasn't ran away from me yet. Then once you find out what I did you will probably jump out that winda" she sigh and smell the rose smile her blush still there. "It smell really good" she look at him. "Promise not to jump out the winda when I tell you how I ended up here"

Alex saw the reaction of Kat and smiled a little and thought that finally someone likes his gift. Then she frown and told him that he might jump out the window if she told him her power. Now he was more curious and wanted to see her power and then said to her, "Of course and don't worry I'm not going to jump out of the window just because your gift might be dangerous and besides everyone here has a gift right?"

"Right" kat said softly put the rose in her hair and took a newspaper article out of her bag and handed it to him. "You probably saw the news of a mysterious fire killing a family and one body not found but presume dead. That's me. I killed my family and all my friends and hometown think I'm most likely dead. I lived on the streets till I came here" she look away scared of his reaction
