[OOC] Snowed In at Northlane High

It started like an ordinary winter's day. The snow had started light at first so despite the overwhelming displeasure of the students, the Superintendent of the Olden school district called it a school day. Begrudgingly students drag themselves through the cold and snow to get to school. The day goes by relatively normally, filled with classes and teenage drama thats generally custom for a daily basis. Eventually the day is over and many manage make it through it the day relatively in one piece. Most people are rushing to get off school grounds as fast as possible but for whatever reasons you have those some that lag behind Be it for clubs or other such after school activities. Unfortunately today they find themselves sticking around just a bit too long. The light snowfall that they said was only minor has erupted into a full blown blizzard and effectively traps all those remaining in the building. You are unfortunately one of those poor souls. Trapped inside by the snow and the blizzard only passing according to the best cast scenario in a full day's time.. There's no teachers, no faculty, no adult supervision whatsoever in the way to help ,or hold back a bunch of wild teenagers from doing all the things teenagers do.

Intro is lame. Its my first time doing an rp like this so bear with me XD Basically this is sorta-kinda like a regular highschool rp with the exception that you're literally stuck inside the school due to a blizzard.and focuses on the interactions of the students stuck inside and how they react and respond to the situation. and the dramtic situations that occur ad such

Short Bio: Casper was adopted on the day he was born. He grew up assuming that the woman who raised him was his mother. But at around the age of 12, he learned the truth after finding old documents by accident, although he chose not to mention it. When he was older, he tried to find his real parents through research, but always failed. When he was 15, he had a secret relationship with a childhood friend, but they broke up when there were rumors of him using drugs and smoking cigarettes. At school, Casper rarely listens in class and instead stays in the very back to doodle. Sometimes, he prefers to cut class and just walk away from the school. His teachers started to show concern for his grades and required him to attend remedial classes after school.

History: "When you grow up Isabella, what do you want to be?" The question came across her mother's lips like any concerned parent. "A turtle." the young girl replied, her big, bright eyes gleaming with joy. "You can't be a turtle Isabella, that is impossible." her mother discouraged, shaking her head. "Nothing is impossible. I'm going to be a turtle" Isa replied, determined to show her mother what life was really about.

Fast forward 10 years, 5 schools, 8 homes, and 7 stepfathers later, Isabella had not become a turtle, but she did escape her shell. Growing up Isabella was an easy going kid, her father hadn't been in her life much but he seemed like an okay guy when he was around. Her mother had always been there, working hard, trying to do what seemed like the best for herself, and sometimes Isabella. The constant moving wasn't very helpful for the young girl's growth, but hey- if it pays the bills, it pays the bills.

Isa found refuge in her artwork, drawing, photography, painting, the works.

It was in her art she could be anything, she could create anything.

On the eve of her 17th birthday her mother announced she had fallen in love once again, and that they were to be moving, as to be closer to the man's work. "Great." Isabella spat out, packing up her belongings once again. "Isabella, I promise this will be the last time. I promise." her mother assured her, her petite frame barely taking up the door way of Isa's empty room. "Mmmhmm." she mumbled. It was the last time every time.

Isa fit into Northlane with out too bad of a transitioning period. She is a relatively friendly and easy going girl, and despite the common issue of transferring your senior year in high school she didn't have a too hard of a time fitting right in. Volleyball practice had run a little late that afternoon, and due to mouthing off to one of the coaches Isabella had to run a few more extra laps in the gym as well as clean up the poles, netting, and the various balls strewn around the gym. "Damn it." she huffed under her breath, she just wanted to get home!

Short Bio: Despite being blessed with good looks and a great mind, Timothy was the butt of many jokes and the victim of many pranks. The school authorities never did anything, and Timothy never told his parents. He kept his feelings bottled up, which led to him incoherently ranting himself to sleep every sunday night, and crying the next morning as the alarm woke him. The only thing keeping himself from suicide is his video games. Its the only things that no matter what, always made him happy. He sometimes creates small flash games for some money as he sells them to arcade sites. Once he even got a game onto Steam. People seemed to like his games, which only furthered Timothy's depression. It's not my interests or abilities that cause people to hate me... He thinks. It's me... My personality, how i do things... Nothing can change that... And so it is only when he needs money that he makes a game. It reminds him how much of a monster he thinks he is when people give it good ratings. One day, one of the kids stole his laptop and hid it in the school. Timothy knew his notes weren't in trouble- he had set up certain security programs to prevent it. It took almost two hours to find it- it was in the janitor's room. By then it was snowing- too much so to leave. I hope it ends soon... Timothy thought.

Personality: If Emma was easy to explain she probably would know so many people and vice versa. Just when you think you have her figured out she slips right out from your fingers. Whether she does it on purpose or not is up for debate but it's easy to get the feeling she likes to keep people guessing.

Hobbies/Interest: The better question would be is there any thing she doesn't like.
Short Bio: Emma appears to come from a upper middle class family, if you took her for face value she's probably about as normal as it gets. However, shes quite the jack of all trades. Emma plays various instruments as well as sports, she is a fairly decent artist, smart enough to argue with nerds and knows all the weird references they make. Sadly her many talents make her a master of none, as she has no time to learn everything. The social baseline is that she knows almost everyone in the school and most of them know her as well. You could call it popular but you wouldn't guess it from the way she acts. She doesn't run anything, she doesn't rule, she doesn't expect people to bow to her or love her or fear her. She just knows, which is admittedly pretty creepy if she wasn't really friendly and casual about her knowledge.

Arguably the biggest reason Emma knows so much is because she made all the right friendships. Her best friendship is with Sara, who likely knows more about Emma that even Emma herself. They grew up together and do just about everything together, one with out the other is usually a pretty odd sight. This afternoon Sara and Emma were planning to go to the park and make a snow fort to show just how grown up they were, Sara's twin Kian even said he would go. But when the end of school came around the trio had to drop off Emma's freshman sister, Elle, who was of course no where to be found. Emma promised to catch up with them later, only to finally get a text from her sister saying that she went home with a friend. Of course by that point she could barely even open the door because of the snow, let alone drive home and to top it all off Sara and her brother stopped answering their phones. It was looking to be a long night.
Other: Because of the lack of contact with Sara, Emma is almost noticeably worried.

Short Bio: Simon is a bit of an oddity, a microcosm of contradictions. Though athletic, Simon finds little joy on the field, considering cross-country more of a chore than anything. While friendly, he shows reluctance to engage with anyone on a level deeper than small talk, and is quick to excuse himself when the given the chance. And, while there is no shortage of people that would call him a friend, Simon would be hard pressed to name any of them. He seems to go out of his way to avoid his classmates, taking side passages and lower traffic hallways between classes and usually leaving the campus during lunch. As such, no one at Northlane seems to know much about him.

He's new to the school, this being his first year at Northlane after moving from out of state. Although he has no problem making conversation with people, he's hardly ever seen with anyone outside of classes and clubs. Simon usually spends his free time finding a secluded place to read, which is why he finds himself near the school's main entrance so late after school. Not realizing how long he'd spent with his nose in his book, Simon tries to leave for home. Unfortunately, he didn't notice the snow until after he's run into the door, landing hard on his back and swearing loudly.

She can be very sarcastic and blunt about things that people are oblivious too, but in the same situation she is oblivious purposely. She is afraid of men so she pushes them away, but still wants a man to hold and protect. She can be very depressed and suicidal, but she hides it behind an outgoing, sarcastic girl. Faeya is a foster kid. She went from foster home to foster home her whole life and has experienced every form of torement a person could think of. She got pregnant at thirteen from one of the many rapes that happened in foster homes, but miscarried due to being too small in size. She was beaten multiple times and at some point she just gave up on humanity. She was soon put in a foster home where the foster parents actually cared about her, but she was too far gone mentally to give them the time of day. They never gave up and to this day they hope to get closer to Faeya. By the forced request of her teacher, Faeya stayed after school for detention and eventually fell asleep so the teacher just left her there.

Personality: Comes off as confident and good-natured. He's also somewhat of an optimist, preferring to look on the bright side but also acknowledges the bad. Constantly told he's humble despite about "fame" but this is actually because he secretly has an inferiority complex that he won't acknowledge and does his best to hide. Due to the complex he can be intense and reckless, constantly pushing himself hard without any real regard for his own limitations or consequences.

Hobbies/Interest: Basketball, Music, Also a bit of a movie junkie and a gamer.
Short Bio: Solomon was born into an relatively normal Middle class family, A mother, father, and younger twin siblings. Solomon's father was a military man and even though Solomon wouldn't see him all the time he still had a very close relationship with his father. Whenever the man was home they'd play basketball and his father would and play his guitar, instilling both a love for the sport and music into Solomon at a young age. He grew up with the goal of simply making his father proud. His father unfortunatel was killed in action shortly after the twins were born and while they were too young to be badly affected, it messed Solomon up for years.Even though he literally had no control over the situation he blamed himself for the death and this is what caused him to gain his inferiority complex. He was in middle school at the time and it got so bad that he had to be pulled out of school for while because of his grief.

During his downtime Solomon eventually got back into the game of Basketball and began really pushing himself to be good. He went back to school to finish up and came back a new man but remained off the radar until he entered Northlane. On the urging of his mother, he tried out for basketball and made the team and became famous after his first game freshman year. His family tragedy was pretty well known locally and he had been on the team in junior high but was average at best, but the skill he showed during the game was a phenomenal improvement no one anticipated. This caused him to gain fame and the nickname "The Phoenix" as a play on his last name and how he had excelled while he overcame his tragedy.

He was shooting hoops in the gym after school like he usually did when the storm hit. Still doesn't there stuck inside yet.
