Oliver and his sister trudged through the forest. They were heading home. Well, their cave more like. Their home was destroyed a year back. Oliver heard a thud behind him and turned to find Cerys sitting with he back against a tree. "Need a break?" Oliver asked. Without even saying a word, probably because she couldn't, Cerys nodded. "Ok". Oliver slung his backpack round and sat down next to her. He lays the pack on the ground and counted what they had managed to capture. "Hm, two rabbits and a bird. Not bad. At least we won't be starving tonight." "We have some plants too. I suppose we could throw them in, make it a bit healthier" Said Cerys. "I suppose" Neither of them wanted to get up. They had been out all day. They both sat there without saying a word to each other; taking in the scenery of the forest and the sounds of the animals that reside in it

She sits up rapidly in bed, looking around. That nightmare had been so real... How was she still alive? She looks around the bromen room and sees that it has been frozen over. She sighs and waves her hand, dissolving the ice. She stands up and stretches, her back and shoulders popping. She slips out of her night gown and into her usual clothing: a white tank top, white shorts and tall white boots. She then walks outside into the abandoned city, keeping low to the ground. She needs to watch out for Blades, just in case they decide to come hunting for them. She frowns and hEads toward the forest.

Shade walked down the broken road, his crack iPhone 5 from an era past playing his favorite song "Boulevard of Broken Dream" for the days where he has to go out near the edge of the city, right next to the bridge back to America. Even from here he could see the patrols and guard posts of the Blades, just waiting for any Outcast try to to fight their way to the greater world. (It just sickens me. The bloodthirsty wolves....) **Ya know, ya should go kill another one of the Tucker's that life in this dead city.** *Wow, talk like cliche evil voices much?* **Says the dumbass that tries to play off his on plans to use thiscity again.** *Unlike you I have no such malicious intent* (I thought I saw a shadow move up ahead. Perhaps playing with it will shut the both of you up.) **Heh, whatever ya say bro.** (....right then. Another broken home to use for today, or rather a telephone pole?) *Take the Tele. They are quite useless nowadays, and would offer an ample view of the area for scouting and defense.* **Whatever** (Alright. Onto the house on the hill we go.) After walking up the rest of the street and going up the small hill to one of the standing telephone poles in the field, he quickly coated his hands in his shadow and began to climb, preparing to settle in for another night amongst the darkness and wind of the night.

After a while of silence, Cerys spoke. "Do you think we'll ever see mum or dad again?" Oliver sighed. "I don't know. I don't even know if we can get out the city". He instantly regretted saying that. Cerys looked down to the ground. "It's not fair. We didn't do anything" she said. "It's more complicated than that" said Oliver. "How? How can it be more complicated? Innocent people are dying because of stuff other people done. **We didnt do anything and it's not fair!,**" she hesitated for a few seconds. "Come on, let's get back"

John was walking through the city, stepping over random debris that had been left by looters when the shield had come down. He had a messenger bag slung over his shoulder. In it was his laptop which he had outfitted with some solar panels he found in the city, a bag of stale chips, probably one of the last, and a copy of his favorite book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. He looked around. He was near a small house on a hill and the sun was going down. He had been searching the forest for any clues on how to bring down the shield but he hadn't found any. He was a long way from his apartment where he had lived with his sister, Lily. It was then, as some of the last rays of sun hit Redbridge that he spotted something. No. Someone. Someone climbing on top of a telephone pole. "Hey!" he shouted. "What're you doing?" he asked, intrigued by one of the first people he'd seen all day.

Midnight sat on the town couch as she stared at a photo of her family. Her eyes tear up at the sight of the people she truly missed the most. Midnight winced when she heard voices and covered her ears curling up into a ball. She sometimes hated her power of seeing all the ghost even hearing them. But they kept her company I guess. She felt tears run down her cheeks as she whimpered when the voices got louder and louder. Mid should have stopped her mother from leaving her or should have done what she said so she wouldn't have left her here. Alone.

Shade was tired. Very tired. He'd been up all night utilizing that abandoned power plant on the other side of the city to recharge his phone and computer. Surprisingly, it seemed that if you could get yourself a router, a satalite to use, and a computer, it was in fact possible to reconnect to the Internet....Not that he had anything to do with the original setup, but at least that's how far he'd managed to trace how and why there was an area to connect with the world in. Of course, being Shade still- He spent far too much time playing games and reading Fanfiction....so much so, that he ran out of battery on his laptop. So he went to spend the day in the power plant. He was lucky it wasn't nuclear, or else they'd ALL have problems. Not that they don't already, nope, not at all. (Ya know, I'm starting to *realllllllllly* regret begining to listen to the two of you....) **Heh, it's not our fault that ya suddenly gotta fan club. Oh look, that lil'e guy down there's probably ure firs' member! Ya should go say hai to 'im, don'cha think? Ehehehehe** "Hey!" The guy from below him shouted up, loudly enough to wake the neighbores. **ALL the neighbores, Ahahahaha** "What're you doing?" He continued shouting, hopefully only at the top of his lungs. *I find that unlikely, but if you wish to entertain such fantasies, be my guest.* Shade sighed heavily, pausing in his climb, and looking down over his shoulder at the guy who'd end up drawing every killer, mugger, and homeless Outcast within a good Quarter of a mile to their location. Upon a closer examination, he appeared to be a teenager *He's still in the city- He's -* **-An Outcast.** and decided that his posistion was now useless, and quickly climbed down and jumped to the ground in front of the teen when he was only a few feet off the ground. "What does it look like?" He asked the possibly mentaly chal-*Retarded.*-lenged teen. "I WAS climbing up here to get some sleep and stay the night, but now that plan's a bit....oh I dunno, *ruined*?" He awaited this guy's answer. (Hell, maybe he'll be some fun. I'm bored without a Connection, and I haven't REALLY talked to anyone in a few days....) **Right, keep thinkin that brightly, will ya bro?** *You seem to be under the impression this kid isn't a threat. It's stupid moves like this that will quickly get you killed you know.* (....Right....thanks for the help Drawing Board.) **Heh, mah pleasure bro. Ahahaha** *Agreed. Heh heh.* (Sighhhhhhh).

Aki held Haru's hand. The two sisters stuck right beside each other as the made their way quickly towards the forest. That's where they always felt safer, right at the edge of the forest and the city and far from the walls."Aki what will we eat tonight? I'm hungry." Haru said her frizzy orange curls catching a few lights, making it seem like the fires her sister could create out of thin air. "What we can eat Haru. I hope we have something in our traps and maybe we could scavenge around the bushes for berries and herbs. Remember I do have mom's book about plants." Aki said looking at her weather controlling sister. The two of them still were learning their powers but they were getting stronger, now their biggest priorities were food, shelter, and their safety from the other Outcast. They didn't trust anyone.

Ronan hated animals. He hated strangers more. It would be fair to say that he hated strays more than anything. In Violet's defense, she never found any wild animals. Instead, it was usually a wild person...? **Outcast?** Looking for food. Ronan had warned her more than enough times that it was going to get them killed someday. It wasn't in her nature to not care. It was probably one of the contributing causes as to why he had forced them to relocate to the woods and had set up half a mile worth of traps. Who knew he was so good at survival? Though she trusted him and he was a father to her, Violet still found him to be shady and wasn't sure she wanted to know where he had learned such precision. Stepping back into the diameter of the camp, Violet held a bag in her left hand, sliding beneath a long abandoned wooden fence. The smell of smoke entered her nostrils and she was aware that Ronan had probably already started their fire for the night. They had been living like this, like clockwork, for almost four years now. **"Darlin, is that you?"** She stepped through the dirt, standing behind him. He was hunched over next to the fire, **"Yeah, hi."** Without another word, she dropped the bag next to him and sat on the other side of the fire, hearing her stomach rumble. _She was starving._ **"Whattdya get?"** **"Rabbit,"** she said with a bit of a huff, **"The deer move too fast."** Though Ronan's silence had compacted it: he was satisfied with the food. Well,_ good_. Because she had no intentions on going back out again, especially since the sun had already begun to set.

Oliver and Cerys wondered through the woods. They were happily chatting away until Oliver came to a halt. He looked around; inspecting the area. "Shit. Um, I mean crap" Cerys sighed. "We're lost again aren't we" she said. There was slight annoyance in her voice. "What? No of course not. Just a slight... detour." They looked around the area a bit before their gazes met smoke in the sky. They both fell silent. Oliver kneeled down and picked up a few stones. They began to glow purple. He looked at Cerys and signalled her to keep quiet. They slowly walked to where the fore was originating. They were led to a camp. Not an empty camp either. There were two girls there. One looked barely any older than Cerys. The stones stopped glowing and he dropped them to the floor. They sat and watched in silence

Danny He slammed the heel of his boot down, a loud crack sounding as the Blades's open jaw split on the curb of the side-walk. He had been stalking this particular blade member for hours, before getting far enough from the wall to break this guys mental processing core. It's difficult to fight back if you're prone to seizures when hearing the sound of someone snap. And its even harder when you come too when your teeth are on a curb and someone is about to stomp on the back of your head. He rifled through this guy's corpse quickly, knowing that after he hadn't reported in within five minutes, an emergency squad would be here in ten minutes, armed to the teeth. He managed to get a half full pack of cigarets and an ounce bottle of whiskey before command called back for reports. When he heard the radio static, he took off, sprinting to his underground apartment. A perk of being able to change your genome sequences, was you could easily survive the 600 foot drop down an empty elevator shaft. He placed the loot on his desk before quickly pressing the activation switch for the intercom he had rigged throughout the Island. It was basically a Giant system of speakerphones, that translated his voice into frequencies only mutants and animals could hear. "Good evening citizens of fuck-all Island." He said with a mockingly radio host voice "The weather today doesn't fucking matter and the traffic is more lifeless then your dead aunt. In news, a Blade has been found curb-stomped and dead downtown on 43rd street, and if you're nearby I'd suggest getting the hell out of there, unless you feel like joining him."

Shade looked at this guy VERY skeptically. It was obvious to him that he either was lonely has hell, or was simply far too trusting for his tastes. After all, asking someone you literally JUST met to join you in this city was the equivalent to asking Hitler you were Jewish and expected to live because of it. ....When Shade heard the strange announcement from the appearent douchebag that was calling out to everyone in the city- *Seems likely with the way he phrased his wording*, he took off. He didn't bother with MCK- **Let's call 'im Mick for that!**-Mick, and left the kid. If he DID have any brains, he would get the hell outta Dodge before the Blades came aknockin. He did remember to shove a crumpled up ball of paper into the guys hands. It had a microchip in it, one that he had done his best to set up so as to track a few people should he need to....it was currently the only one he had, but the kid could prove useful, so he'd see where he'd go, and later might come check up on him. If he was still alive of course. (Honestly, why is it the people in this damned city happen to all be either crazy, assholic, psychotic, or a disturbing combination thereof?) *Unknown. Perhaps it has something to do with the genes that cause the Abilities to manifest within the Outcasts? Based off of our current knowledge, that is the best theory I will be able to come up with for now.* **Ya know, I figur' this guy ain't bluffin' 'bout that Blade. Which means only 'e coulda killed the guy, in other words-** (A comeplete and utter Psychopath.) *Most Definitely.* (So, we should REALLY get the Hell outta Dodge then?) *Again, Most Definitely.* (Right then....) **Just get ready. I can handle near anyone who gets in our fuckin' way.** Shade used the shadow of the building he was running towards, in the opposite direction of 43rd Street, and Phased into existence in the woods outside the city. He quickly checked over all of his belongings that he had with him, and quickly and as quietly as he could, moved furthur into the woods. He'd be needing a tall, safe tree to get any sleep tonight after all. The path forward awaited him, and he wasn't in the mood to keep it waiting. Into the Woods Shade continued....

John looked at the kid skeptically. "You were gonna sleep on top of a telephone pole?" he questioned, disbelief smeared across his face. He'd never met an outcast in Redbridge who'd even thought of something like that. Though he could see the benefits. There was no need to be on your guard all the time, watching for killers and thieves. Maybe he should invite the kid with him. "Look, if you want, you can come with me. We can spend the night in that house over there," John said, gesturing behind him to the small house on the hill, "and then, come morning, you can stay with me and we'll both be able to sleep easier knowing that there's someone between us and an angry Outcast, or you can set off on your own again." John finished, looking at the kid who, at closer examination, was about his age. Just then, the radio announcement came on. Once it finished up, he saw the kid running off toward a building and then disappearing, but not before pushing a piece of paper into his hand. It was smart to disappear. The blades would probably be looking for a culprit and John was close enough to the city that they could find him. John thought about his choices for a bit before deciding on running towards the woods. He didn't want to be around when the Blades got there.

Midnight finally got off the couch when the voices all went silent but she knew they were still there. She felt her stomach rumble, but she ignored it. She just drank some of the water she kept in the spot under the broken wooden stair piece. She could hear footsteps outside her door and she jumped back frightened it might be someone. But the footsteps stopped which only made her relax slightly. "It might be the same spirit outcast again...." She mutters sighing. A little boy died in front of her house when Midnight was small. Now he haunts the front yard and runs around like it belongs to him. But she still felt a slight pain of the story how the little boy dead. She didn't want to go outside and watch the scene of it either.

*One...two...three...* There was a loud crunch as Jack brought the rock down, hard, onto his left ring finger. Pain shot up his hand and into his arm as he shattered the bones in his finger. Whilst the skin was not broken black bruising was already rushing to the surface of his skin and he was losing feeling in the finger entirely. Throwing the rock back into the shop he had got it from he then placed his hand over the broken digit and slowly ran his hand down it. A warmth drifted into the injury and after a few seconds he pulled his hand away to reveal a perfectly functioning ring finger where his damaged one had been only moments ago. This was simply a past time now, at first Jack had loved the warmth but now, now it simply killed the time he spent waiting. He hadn't been sleeping well recently and whilst this didn't help it certainly made the night pass quicker. However now was a time to find a resting spot, not pass the time. He could do that later. Standing he dusted the dirt off of his arse and checked the blue skinny jeans for any rips or tears. Satisfied with his check he zipped up the dark brown jacket and slipped his hands into his pockets as he meandered off into the woods, his backpack had never left his shoulders during the time sat down. The petrol station had been right on the edge of the city and the attached shop had been one of the first to be attacked by the blades. It took Jack a few minutes to find where he had camped the night before. It was a simple lean too created by a tree that had fallen a while ago and whilst it was cover Jack had been freezing. He had heard running water whilst he was camping that night and was determined t find it's source. He was always in need of a good drink. Climbing down some treacherous mud banks he came to a small stream, hidden away by foliage. There was no where open to camp however a number of the trees had grown into each other and grabbing a couple of branches he hauled himself up, there was no cover however now he had located water he was simply looking for campfire. He was tired of squatting in nature and was in desperate need of some company, lest he go mad soon. He knew people were around it was just a matter of finding them. *C'mon...there has got to be someone out there.*

Ice's head shoots up when she hears the announcement. She looks around and notices some guys running toward the woods where she is. She looks down at herself. She's going to be very noticeable in these bright white clothing, but she couldn't exactly avoid them anyways. She watches them as they run into the forest, a darker looking one farther ahead than another one. She watches Shade come closer to her and she leans up against a tree, hoping that he doesn't notice her, but he probably would, with these clothes.

Danny "Also friends and not so friendlies, come the fall of the sun look for the rise of my flag, and believe me fuckers you'll know it when you see it." He said, afterwards turning off the intercom and sprinting back into the open. A few minutes had passed, and the sun was just starting to disappear. He slowly raised up his [flag](http://www.britishnationalfront.net/newflag4.jpg), then flicked on a few giant floodlights.

Shade noticed the girl that was near him. She WAS within his boundaries after all, and he was still- **You mean I'M still dipshit!** -Passively scanning for anyone within his boundary. He didn't really care though, his body too tired to really go ahead with any plans of curiosity or psychopathy, all he needed: Was some damn sleep. He continued forward dispite this, and made his way deeper Into The Woods. **Heh, maybe someone'll go ahead and offer ya a sleepin bag or some'um ya know bro. Hehehehe.** *Sleep is an imperative to our continued survival.* (....ugh....).

Midnight opened the door only to see Timothy the little jerk who haunts the place. "Word has been around that people are lurking around the place" he said moving inside when she closed the door on him. She turned around and walked upstairs "Go away Tim. You already know that I wont step foot out of the house.", she mutters as she headed to her room but the door slammed close making her slam to the wall "Timothy!" She glared at the ghost boy as he smirked. But she stopped herself from making Timothy disappear when she heard a announcement which made her run to the wood boarded windows and looked outside.

As John continued running he finally reached the woods. As he enters, he notices a girl all in bright white clothes. He raises his hands in a sign of peace, but then lowers them, realizing that to Outcasts, raising hands was a bigger threat than lowering them. He stopped in his tracks, looking at her and offering a smile. "Hey," he said, panting a bit. "You know you aren't very hidden, what with those bright white clothes on," he said, smirking to himself since she probably couldn't see it in the dark.
