Asa seemed offended by the offered hand shake so Nico let it hang by his side as he walked off. Nico could feel the forest temple his tall was flicking wildly with anticipation. He had to wonder what was with Asa, the faunas was a little bit wild, weird, he fight the stenotype perfectly. But why would a faunas subject himself to such ridicule, but Nico shrugged it off and assumed that Asa had to have gone through something in his past. Nico's head then whipped around once he heard Asa's unusual question. " What?" Nico asked with a frown. What the hell was that supposed to mean, collar, why in hell would Nico even consider such a thing. But before Nico could answer the faunas, the wolf had already disappeared. "Are you serious." Nico mumbled to himself. Some team they were, Nico made his want to the sounds of a struggle, maybe Asa was stuck or something. Nico walked into a clearing and saw Asa fighting a single Grimm. The fight was impressive, but Ass was wounded twice by the time the fight had needed. Nico walked up to him and patted him on the back, "Nice job, next time, tell someone your running off before going." He said with a grin before turned back and walked back down the path that led to the temple. Before long the path opened up into a cliff over looking a large field, a few feet away was the forest temple. Nico called back at Asa to get over to were he was, this was were they needed to be, and it looked like they were the first ones there. Nico was about to make his way over to the ruins, but he stood frozen solid when he heard the rustling of bushes. "Is that you Asa?" Nico said in a dark tone, making sure that if it was him, he knew Nico did not like what he was doing. Before Nico could react a black figure came rushing out of the woods and collided with Nico, sending him off the cliff. Nico hit the ground on his back, all the air was blown out of his kinds and his was slightly dazed. Nico could barely see the wings of a large Grimm, Nico immediately knew that it was a Gryphix.

Yasuri replied without lowering his pace, "My name is Yasuri," then he slowed down and came to stop before a small clearing with three Beowulf snuffling around. He made a hand-motion to stop and said whispered, "Three Beowulf, if you can take the one on the right, i can take the one of the left, and we can smash the one in the middle, sound good?" Yasuri asked readying his blade. He didn't know his teammates capabliltyies, but he had been accepted to Beacon he could no doubt handle a Beowulf or two.

Regarding the Beowolves with a smile, Zedong could easily see that they were young. They were small in size and the number of spikes on their spine were clear indicators of that. Looking at his partner he gave a firm nod and started strafing to the right. As soon as he was in position he held the bottom of his spear and tapped the closest one on the back, causing it to jump and turn 180 degrees. "Well aren't you a cute puppy. Do you wanna play? Do you like to fetch, I bet you do, oh yes you do," he talked to the creature much the same way people talk to infants. The creature returned his words with a snarl. "Now that's a good boy, you want the stick," he asked taking a stance and twirling his spear. "Here's the stick, come and get it." The creature took two steps and lunged at him, raking its claws right at Zee's chest. The young man took a step to the left while resting the head of his spear on the ground. He dodged the attack, but when the wolf landed on top of his spear he raised it straight up, flipping the creature on its back. "Oh look at that, he does tricks! Roll over boy, roll over." The creature did so not because he asked it to, and when it was up again it opened its jaws and lunged again, attempting to bite. "Bad boy." Almost effortlessly he swing the base blade of his spear in a horizontal motion, cutting the creature across the face. Turing that momentum into a spin he brought the same end up, slicing vertically, causing the creature to fall over. "Looks like you need to be put down." Zee delivered the final blow by pole vaulting into the air and burring his weapon into the creature's bare chest. It howled for a moment and then fell silent. One down, one to go. Zee had apparently gotten the attention of the third Beowolf, and it growled viciously at him. "Hey friend." The spear flew into a flurry of thrusts, but none of these were meant to hit, they all fell short of hitting, but the creature's reflexes worked as they hit. It bobbed and weaved to dodge the blows, keeping its focus on Zee, and leaving its back wide open.

Asa slunk after Nico, a bit like a whipped dog, ears down, tail tucked. He kept back a few feet, just to be on the safe side. Hearing Nico call, Asa hurried forward, but something had beaten him to it. Asa stumbled out of the woods and onto a cliff, just in time to see Nico flung off said cliff by a massive winged Grimm. The sort that Asa had always had had trouble with. Tempting, as it was to jump straight into the fight, realistically Asa knew he had to get to Nico and see if he could fight, wings on a Grimm always equaled trouble. The other reason Asa had to get to Nico was that, after bowling him off the cliff, the Grimm had gone after him, and was circling, like a hawk scouting out prey; only hawks don’t normally think of humans, or faunuses in this case, as prey. Tail lashing, Asa thought furiously; he had to find a way down that cliff. Jumping off? No, with no trees at the bottom, he couldn’t land like this morning, and would be in the same condition as Nico, therefore unable to help much if he was injured. He could always climb down the cliff, …if he wanted to get there next week. Sliding down using his claw was another option, but a dangerous one that was likely to get him killed, not that that would stop Asa. But he had seen another way, even more dangerous and exhilarating; he was going to ride the Grimm. Grinning like a loon, ears perked, tail wagging softly, Asa took a short run up, and threw himself off the cliff at the bird Grimm. Sailing through the air, adrenalin pinging all round, Asa laughed, a maniacal laugh, gleeful and mad, pretty much summing up how he felt when he fought. Catching up to the Grimm rather fast, Asa grabbed onto it’s back with one set of claws, and changing the other to a sort of double knife, which he swept across the neck of the Grimm, plunging it into the beast, as it tried to shake him off. Three more massive circles, punctuated by rolls, dives and other attempts to shake him off, Asa, finally losing his grip, and tumbled the rest of the way to the ground where he collapsed on the grass, groaning, his wounds from earlier having ripped open even more. It was nothing as far as Asa was concerned, he’d suffered far, far worse before, but that didn’t stop it from hurting now. Climbing to his feet, Asa realized he was rather lucky, with claws and double knives still out and ready, it was surprising he hadn’t skewered himself, or at least lopped off an arm. Morphing Tears of Blood back into a claw, Asa looked round for Nico, which he seemed to be doing a lot off lately, but that’s probably what having a partner was about. Asa found himself hoping that Nico wasn’t hurt. Seeing the Grimm still circling overhead, Asa called out softly, “Uh, Nico?”

Yasuri nodded as Zedong quickly moved into position and began... combat was one word for it. He didn't approved of playing with prey but Zee did so effectively so there was really no problem. Yasuri quickly moved towards the Beowolf on the right and approached it from behind with soundless footsteps. As it turned to face Zee, Yasuri quickly unsheathed his sword and snuck his blade around the Beowolf's neck and removed it. Zee began distracting the last Beowulf with a bewildering series of feints. Yasuri quietly walked up behind the creature and cut it in half down the middle in a classic overhead swing. A simple enough fight and it showed his teammate had the capability to use teamwork, wonderful. "Alright good work, lets keep moving, we shouldn't run into more than two more groups of Grim before we get there." Yasuri said as the two halves fell to the ground and he quickly resumed movement towards the ruins.

"I wasn't trying to-" Parsey flinched when he brought his tail to her nose, and frowned. "Fine," She hissed and started following him, while secretly planning his death. She sighed and changed her thought process to thinking about the test. Was there actually a way to ace it, or was it just a skill percentile test? She had preformed optimally up until the dragonfly incident, but even that wouldn't affect her score if it was a percentile placing test. Only preforming less optimally in combat would.

Rolling his eyes Nero moved quickly so that he didn't have ti deal with much else from his partner. Quickly they made it to the temple and he was exhausted, so he turned of his semblance. Suddenly the pair was beset on by a pair of kitsune and Nero drew his blade as fast as he could. This fight would be hard, he didn't have enough aura to waist on this. "Come on," he said as he began to run towards one. "We gotta get this fight on!"

Silus
Silus listened intently to his new partner. A teleporting semblance. He wondered idly if it was akin to speed or actual teleportation. She had continued talking as he was lost in idle contemplation. He needed to stop spacing out. He scratched the back of his neck and grinned "yeah..should be simple" the crashing noise cut his sentence short as he spun on his heel to face the sound. It had to be big to bring down a tree like that. Silus looked at Nahbi and the good natured smile and warmth in his eyes were replaced with a wild energy that sparked off him. He bounced on his toes in anticipation "Well...lets see how well we fight together" he grinned, lips extending wider into that predatory scar once more. He brought his fists together as the King Taijitu rushed from the tree line toward him "A snake takes on a dragon!" Silus shouted "sounds like and old wives tale!" Silus brought his fist back, Rush firing a short forward for momentum. Silus dashed towards the mammoth snake, adrenaline and Rush's momentum fueling shots firing him towards the reptile.
Nahbi
Nahbi… didn't know what to do. At seeing the giant snake come slithering past the trees, she found herself frozen to the ground. Actually, frozen seemed inaccurate. Nahbi was melting. Her knees were turning to jelly and her hands were limp at her sides. You see, Nahbi had never actually seen a real Grimm before. She'd fought angry bears and had tried her hand at vigilantism against the odd robber in her home town, but seeing such a massive nightmare in front of her… She was snapped out of her thoughts when Silus charged forward, a carrying with him a look of mania. Right. Fighting. She could do this. Nahbi glanced up to find a branch above her and teleported up to it, dashing across the forest canopy towards the… snake monster. The Grimm. Remembering her hours of training in the forest near her house, Nahbi launched off a branch in front of the snake. She jumped in a twisting motion, hoping to get as much momentum as possible when she drew her twin blades and sliced one of them, Scatter, in an arc. Sickles of Nahbi's pink aura flew forward, heading for the King Taijitu. In the next moment, she teleported back to the ground and stabbed her other blade, Flare, into the soil. A row of pink spikes shot up from the ground, mirroring the arcs flying through the air towards the Grimm. Nahbi jumped so she was below another branch and teleported up again, hoping she'd aimed well enough so as not to slice up her new partner.
Silus
Silus spun his body in a ferocious twist that allowed his fist to slam head on into the King Taijitu. Grinning wildly, the Lizard twisted his body again. The barrels of Rush working overtime flipping and twisting to allow the best momentum for him. He looked back, watching as vicious looking pink blades of aura hurtled towards the snake. Silus taking in stock of their direction and speed, knew they were hurtling towards him. He body gave a brief shudder Rush reallocated its barrels he attempted to dash away from the snake and the oncoming blasts. Silus had forgotten the Grimm was smarter than he gave it credit for. A thick white tail had wrapped around the Faunus’ arm and held him in place. The Taijitu was going to get hit…but so was he. “Fuck” Silus felt the blades of aura slice into him and he growled. He could feel the wild instincts rushing through his mind. The feral anger that he had always attempted to keep contained. He growled and hissed again, noises more animal than human as Rush fired off more rounds into the snake that held him captive. Silus reached into his pocket and pulled a crystal, white and glowing, and placed it into his mouth. Crunching it under his teeth he finally got loose of the Taijitu. He grinned. That wasn’t a smart thing for the snake to do. Silus once again grew to his full height, breathing in deep through his nose before letting loose another blast of Aura infused breath. The white crystal had become a frigid wind full of jagged crystalline ice that was below the flash freeze point of water. The air grew cold. The grass and the leaves snap freezing under the sudden drop in temperature. The wind died down and Silus fell to one knee panting “god…damn…” he muttered before looking up at the Taijitu that was half frozen “NAHBI” he shouted “You better be able to finish that!”
Nahbi
Nahbi's eyes widened when she saw that her attacks had in fact gone straight for Silus. The Grimm curled around her partner, forcing him to take her onslaught. Oops… She dashed through the treetops again, trying to get a better angle to maybe cut Silus free. Instead, Silus surprised her by getting free breathing an icy gust on the Grimm, half-freezing it in place. Nahbi heard him shouting at her to finish the job. Not needing to be asked twice, Nahbi's flashier nature got ahead of her. She launched herself forward, twisting as she went. She waited until she was directly above the snake and then teleported down. For a moment it seemed that Nahbi had disappeared entirely. That is, until the snake's neck bulged. From inside the King Taijitu, Nahbi spun, her blades flowing in a deadly circle, decapitating the snake. Nahbi fell and landed on the ground. To her disgust, she was covered in the Grimm's blood. "Oh my god ok ew." She'd impulsively pulled the move off thinking it'd be cool… and it had been. Just… wow, ew. It was then that Nahbi remembered her injured partner. "Silus!" Sheathing Scatter and Flare, Nahbi dashed towards where he was kneeling on the ground (sure to teleport herself a few feet up mid-run and leave the Taijitu's blood behind her) and almost stumbled in an attempt to not collide with him. "Oooooh my gosh oh my gosh I'm so sorry are you ok that was so sick that you can breathe ice oh my god I killed a Grimm did you see me are you ok oh my god I'm gonna be sick –" The words came flying out of her like a train going full speed as she fluttered around the faunus. Again, Nahbi had never actually seen a Grimm before, let alone killed one. The adrenaline coursing through her was making her bounce around more than usual, torn between guilt at possibly killing her partner, ecstasy at killing a Grimm, and terror at everything else.
Silus
Silus grinned, his aura flaring up around him gently like a bronze flame, as Nahbi bounced on her toes and walked around him. He figured the girl hadn’t killed a Grimm from her hesitation when the fight had started. He stood slowly, his aura stitched his wounds together. He put a hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile “hey, good job” he nodded slowly before tenderly touching where the pink aura blades had sliced through him “but you gotta know something” he began slowly as they walked “You saw how I looked didn’t you…” he shook his head “If you see my aura flare up and I suddenly start growling…Don’t hesitate to knock me out” He nodded before pulling up to his full height to stretch the new skin that had formed over the wound “deal?”
Nahbi
Nahbi stared up at Silus as she tried to comprehend. "Wait… why?" she asked hesitantly. "I mean, I'm pretty great and all, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to take on both a Grimm and someone who breathes fire at the same time. I mean did you see me back there? I can barely take on a Grimm with a partner without screwing that up!" Nahbi's voice rose as her worries caught up with her. Maybe running away and coming here… hadn't been the best idea. Playing with her brothers and practicing with Scatter and Flare was fun, and she'd been dreaming about finally becoming a Huntress – but as Nahbi looked at the drying blood still smeared across Silus' new skin, she wondered what she was really doing here. Nahbi looked around as the forest opened up and a crumbling stone temple came into view. "I guess that's probably where we're supposed to go." Get a partner, get a relic, get back to base. Then she would officially start her training… but now Nahbi questioned whether or not that was really what she should be doing.
Silus
Silus smiled at Nahbi "hey hey...you did good" he laughed before tapping gently against the scales that grew over his cheeks "I'm just saying...sometimes I'm not always Silus the Faunus" he sighed "sometimes we Kuroi go into a bloodlust and that puts people in danger" he sighed "that is usually shown by our Aura flaring wildly and a loss of our way with words." He stretched again before nodding "yeah...let's go"

Parsey followed her partner silently, until they came upon a pair of kitsune. Without flinching, Parsey threw out her arm to make ice shards, and launched them at the nearest kitsune. The smaller shards didn't even scratch the skin, while the larger ones embedded shallowly in it's flesh. Her eyes widened, and the kitsune she had been attacking pounced, and she narrowly rolled out of the way. She used her aura to conjure up 3 giant ice spikes and launched them again, aiming for its legs. Two of them were easily dodged, but the third one hit and crippled one of the kitsune's legs. It growled and glanced at its leg before pouncing again. Parsey easily dodged this time, and used an ice spear to pierce its chest from the bottom. to its spine.

Nero took out one blade, converting the other into gun form. He then began to cut a whirlwind of cuts while fireing bullets. He easily took out the kitsune, even with missing a few hits, and stood panting for a second. Activating his semblance for a second as he through up a stick, it landed pointing where they needed to go. "The destination is that way." He panted a bit, pointing in the direction of the temple. He started off without a word, and moves twords the prize. He quickly got his wind back, and for some reason he felt much better. He hoped his semblance would last...

Even though his partner started to hurry off deeper into the woods, Zee stayed and watched the Grimm, his eyes filled with discontent. He eyed the fallen husks of the Grimm, three in total, easily dispatched. Moments passed and one by one the bodies started to fall apart, evaporating into the air. "Good riddance," the spearman said in a low growl. Turning away he had every intention of moving on his way, but his mixed feeling wouldn't let him. He hated the Grimm, they were a plight on the world of Remnant, he wanted them routed, humiliated and destroyed, yet he couldn't let them know that. Moving closer to the fallen creatures he took a knee and bowed his head. "May you go in peace. I thank you for all you have given me, and pray that your spirit will be at peace." With that the last speck of black vanished into wind. Soon after he caught up with his partner. "Sorry about that, old habits die hard," he said. It was then he realized that the two of them haven't had a conversation go more than two exchanges. That spoke volumes to Zedong, if the two of them were going to get along, they had better get to know each other. Picking up the pace, he turned to face Yasuri, and continued to walk backwards while keeping eye contact. "So Yasuri, you don't say much do you? Are those your nerves speaking or are you always this stoic?"

Yasuri kept up his vigorous pace and had stopped momentarily when it became apparent that Zee wasn't following him. As soon as Zee came into sight he resumed his progress. Hearing Zee's apology Yasuri merely shrugged more interested in reaching the ruins then anything else. As Zee sped and up and went in front of him, Yasuri changed his path in accordance with the forest path hoping his ally would pick up on it and avoid awkwardly running into any trees. Yasuri thought about the question a bit. If they were going to be partners for the whole year they should probably know each other pretty well. "Often time spent talking is time that could be spent doing something more productive. Having said that, to be honest I am rather worried about the results of our test and am most interested in achieving our goal quickly and effectively." Yasuri replied, surprising himself with his openness. Normally he was more reserved, never the less perhaps making a close friend would be beneficial in the long run. After all one did catch more flies with honey rather than vinegar. Yasuri's head tilted slightly as he heard the rustling of bushes, from the sound of it, it couldn't be much larger than a human, probably a rabbit or something.

Nahbi stepped through the brush, making a face as she tried to avoid getting caught in any of the branches. Her mind was still buzzing with what Silus had told her. He… lost control? He seemed fine now. How the heck did he expect Nahbi to knock him out when that happened? She gave a little huff to herself. Her head shot up then when she heard more voices. "Zee?" she asked to the air. She glanced around and smiled when she saw two of her fellow students, Zee and… some other samurai-looking guy. "Hey!" she called as she ran over. "How's it?"

((Sorry for the delay)) Salvia spun her spear once as she surveyed the immediate area around her. She'd landed cleanly, which had been a fun time. Now though, she was on her own. While she was fairly sure she could handle most Grimm, trying to make it entirely to the temple by herself could be viewed as a suicide attempt... at least by some people's standards. Not if Godspear had anything to say about it. A formidable weapon in most people's hands, in her masterful hands it was something to be feared. Using it like a walking stick, she jammed the butt end into the ground as she walked, leaving a trail of dots next to her footsteps. "Come out, come out, wherever you are..." Salvia called quietly, to both friend and foe. Nearby the bushes rustled some, and there came a sound that was not made by any throat she'd heard, human or faunus. It was somewhere between a grunt, a belch, and a squeak. It came a few more times before a squat creature with stubby legs, Grimm mask, and rounded tusks that protected it's front end. The back was armored with sharp plates that were almost like spines. Baleful glowing eyes turned toward her, and immediately the thing bellowed a squealing challenge that echoed through the woods. It charged forward, faster than she thought the stubby legs should have been able to rush her. As it neared her the Boarbatusk tucked it's head down, rolling into a ball, splaying out the plates on it's back. It managed to accelerate further, ripping up some of the forest floor, hurtling headlong at her. Salvia tilted her head and readied her spear up high, holding it by the butt in her right hand, the left hand grabbed the middle, tip angled forward and down about forty-five degrees. Her left foot was forward, her right foot back, presenting her left side to the monster as it rushed forward. Gesturing with the tip of the spear, the air seemed to explode upward, rocketing the pigling into the air. Studying it's rise, and then fall... Salvia planted her spear firmly into the ground. The flailing Boarbatusk slammed down on the length of her spear, impaled cleanly through the body, squalling in rage and terrible agony. It had landed on it's side, the blade tearing through it's ribs and exploding out the other side under it's own bodyweight and force of the fall. The girl kicked the spear, spilling it and the hog over on it's back. Removing her weapon after a couple tugs, she jammed the spear into the thing's throat and out the back of it's neck. Guaranteeing the kill, as it were. If the Boarbatusk got back up and attacked from behind, or attacked another student unprepared, it could go very badly. It would be terribly irresponsible of her too. Glancing down, she shuddered. "Aww maaan... I got some of it on my shoe,' she said, flicking her foot, trying to get the black ichor from the creature off her foot. The pigling's form was beginning to dissolve away as she glanced around, seeing if the noise had attracted anything else.

Cyrul grinned as he heard the speech. Destroy everything in your way or die trying? That was a mindset he could get behind, and with Cheshire Grievance at his side there was no way he was going to die trying. He watched as his new friends from yesterday were launched high into the air, drawing his weapon and unfolding it into combat mode as he knew his turn was coming up, and then suddenly he was being launched through the air at high speeds. The wind forces and time were working against him as he shifted his body and weapon, planting his feet on the backs of the two large machete-like blades of Cheshire Grievance, at an angle to the ground. He could see a spot coming up where he was pretty sure he would be landing and braced himself for impact. Five, four, three, two, one, and his blades slammed into the ground, burying themselves in the hard dirt of the pathway and stopping all of his downwards momentum, and most of the vertical. What vertical momentum remained he used to flip forward, still holding onto Cheshire Grievance as his flip pulled it out of the ground, landing on his feet in a combat ready stance before looking around... And seeing Seilbar standing just a short distance away. He grinned a bit as he made eye contact with the fox girl, waving. "Hey! Fancy meeting you here."
Sielber
Seilber glanced around as she heard a thud, something large hitting the ground with no small amount of force. Only in time to see Cyrul from yesterday come to his feet, then lay eyes on her. Tilting her head a little she smiled faintly and waved, only to jog over to him, one ear flicking lightly while her tail swished side to side, keeping her side to side. "I guess I'm stuck with you," she said, flashing a quick smile to take out any sting to the words. "Could be worse, right?"
Cyrul
Cyrul shrugged, speaking up in response to her. "Well we've met and you haven't tried to kill me, I'd say we're off to a good start!" a playful smile on his face as they started walking generally northwards through the forest. He still held Cheshire Grievance in its readied form, but was much more relaxed with it now that he had someone to watch his back, after all, he knew his abilities and he knew Seilber's were enough to get her into Beacon, so he figured they could probably take on most opponents they had to deal with. Speaking up again, still with his fairly jovial tone, he asked; "So, why'd you decide to come to Beacon?"
Sielber
"Target of opportunity," she said offhand, glancing at him sidelong for a moment. "As a Faunus, we're pretty much second-class citizens. Along the way, I had to learn to fend for myself, scrap for myself. Nobody else was going to. Eventually I got noticed. I got more training, met a lot of people, made connections. I decided that it's better to make the world a better place with my abilities than to sit by and watch it pass me by. Becoming a Huntress seems like a pretty decent way to go about it. And if it helps get my kind more equal rights and on more equal footing, than I'm all for it." Seilber reflected silently as they walked, barely disturbing the ground. It was an unconscious thing, that quietude of movement. It was a wonder what she might be able to do if she were deliberately trying to be quiet. "So what about you," she asked, her voice a little quieter, curious, and there was a slight lilt there as well. She'd edged a little closer to Cyrul, mostly unconsciously, while her ears twitched and swiveled picking up all the little sounds, her nose testing the air for the tiniest scents.
Cyrul
He mused over her answer for awhile as they walked, keeping his own ears out for anything that might try to attack them. When he heard her ask him the same question he was quiet for a moment before speaking up. "I always liked adventure. There isn't really much more to it, I just figure I can probably make more use of myself saving lives and helping people than if I'm just. Doing whatever." His voice started to trail off towards the end of the sentence before he stopped short, and the bushes in front of them erupted with movement, breaking apart and revealing a pair of angry looking Ursa. Without a second thought Cyrul called out "You go right!" as he charged the left one.
Sielber
Seilber's image shivered and split into four for a moment, like double vision only worse, or bad tracking on an old video tape. It was the kind of thing that made the eyes and brain hurt to watch as it tried to track in all four directions, as well as interpret and correlate nonsensical information. She took the opportunity to draw her blades, which snapped together in bow form as the Ursa on the right shook it's head. The images faded and it's vision locked on her as she drew back a gossamer incandescent thread from her bow. A glow of blue-white energy formed near the main brace, while a thin, whitehot shaft of light or energy seemed to reach back to the lightstring that Seilber had pulled back. The flick of her fingers released the packet of Dust-based energy. A ball of electrostatic energy exploded forth, hurtling almost faster than the eye could track. Ball lightning slammed into the Ursa's mask, sending it reeling and howling in pain, clawing at it's face, shaking it's head as tendrils of lightning licked at it with blistering results, some of it burning into the fur before dissipating. The Ursa roared in fury and pain, only to charge toward the fox-girl like a demonic freight train. Seilber waited, backpedaling some to buy her time. The monster gave no thought as he sought to kill his tormentor. What could be expected of such a beast. As she retreated, she was putting her back to a tree, and beginning to crouch, making herself smaller, coiling her legs like a readied spring.
Cyrul
Cyrul was grinning as he charged for the other Ursa, seemingly with no care for his own well being as his weapon was trailing behind him in a position that left him wide open. Anyone watching would probably think he had some kind of death wish with the way he was fighting, but really, well, when he got close enough as he expected the Ursa lifted its arm to swipe at him with its massive, wickedly curved claws, and when he made no effort to block or dodge its attack, the fight seemed like it was about to be over... Until the claws contacted his shoulder and simply bounced off. There was a brief second of confusion from the Ursa before its own shoulder was ripped free from its body, torn apart as if another, invisible Ursa had sliced through the flesh and bone, and in that second of confused pain the blades of Cheshire Grievance grabbed it around the neck like a pair of open scissors before snapping shut and severing the bear-Grimm's head from its shoulders, causing it to slump to the floor before starting to melt away into black vapor.
Sielber
Seilber glanced at Cyrul, checking to see if her new partner was alright in them to see head severed from body. Her own enraged beastie was practically on top of her. The air around her skin and form shimmered faintly as Seilber's attention turned toward the Ursa charging at her. One massive paw swept through her chest with the force of a car wreck. The paw passed through where she had been standing like a ghost walking through a door, or passing it's paw through water. The illusion was broken and came apart instantly. The Ursa had not slowed, and had been expecting the fox-girl to be there, committing it's force and power into the blow. Incredible pain exploded through it's neck; Seilber's spin blades were jammed sharply into it's neck deeply. The girl planted one foot on the Ursa's shoulder as It rolled from the blow and the pain. Her hold on the blades and her foot on it's shoulder carried her up and over, flinging her high into the air again. Seilber rode the energy of the movement as her blades tore free, making the mortal wound near instantly fatal as she twisted free, spraying dark gore from the weapons. Landing easily on her feet she studied the fallen bear-creature for a moment. Nodding to herself, she swiped both blades through the air, stopping them sharply in a dual blood-shake to remove the last of anything clinging to them. "You okay," she asked Cyrul as she looked over the carnage. Both Ursa were headless, or nearly so, hers less clean, but just as dead."I thought you got hit in that," she continued as she made her way over to him, barely seeming winded.
Cyrul
Cyrul had finished killing his Ursa a few seconds before Seilber dealt with hers, so when she turned to check on him he had his weapon at rest, haft resting on his shoulder with the blades behind it like some giant battleaxe, his pose strikingly like some ancient warrior king. He may not have been the best student, or the smartest attendee to Beacon, but if there was one thing he prided himself on it was his combat ability, which already surpassed that of most Beacon students. He turned towards her when he heard her asking if he was okay, a wide grin on his face. "I did, technically. But I've got a few tricks up my sleeve to deal with that. Anyway, we should get going. I bet we can be some of the first to make it to the forest temple!" He turned and started continuing in the direction they'd been going without even waiting for an answer, the same cocky grin on his face the whole time.
Sielber
Seilber moved with Cyrul, before glancing over at her partner. Spinning her blades in opposite spins once, they telescoped down, leaving just the handle loops and the blade heads showing. The handles she slipped around her hands, almost like brass knuckles. Already she was thinking ahead, trying to get at least some idea of all the variables that they might have to deal with. At the same time, she wondered if Roulette Spokes would be enough, or if she would need to make new weapons. Sure they were light, and fast, and could dish out some punishment... but was it going to be as effective as she needed, as a Huntress? Against people, they were great. Against things like Ursa? She wasn't sure how they would be shaping up. Cyrul seemed to be more than capable of handling himself, she noted. That alone made her worries evaporate some, but she did walk just a little closer to him. "How fast do you think we can make it there," she inquired softly, keeping her voice down. Her honey colored, luminous eyes turned toward the weapon he carried now and again as they walked. It was an odd contraption for sure.
Cyrul
"Depends on if we encounter more Grimm on the way there. But based on trajectory we're... Probably somewhere. The whole math thing was never my strong suite, sorry." He said, continuing his casual walk in the general direction of north. Of course, they were moving at a reasonable fast pace, and it seemed luck favoured them this time as they didn't encounter more Grimm before stepping through the brush into a massive, wide clearing, at the center of which was unmistakably the northern forest temple. "Or that. I guess we were closer than I thought." He said with a grin, breaking into a a much faster pace as he marched towards the stone ruins, eager to get his hands on whatever artifact the pair decided to choose.

As Tim walked north, his prospects of finding a partner both increased and decreased. It would increase assuming that anyone who didn’t have a partner walked north regardless and decreased if they didn’t. Also, the amount of people who have formed pairs and were heading north as well increased, decreasing the amount of individuals there could be. That said, it was too late to turn back and Timothy wasn’t exactly the first person to dive into social interaction. He was content to let his partner find him, really. That’s what he keeps telling himself every time. Every time he turned a corner or saw behind a tree to find that there was no one there. Tim really didn’t want to be the first one to talk, but he also didn’t want to fail. His conflicting wants created a half-hearted mindset of trying to find a partner resulting in walking north in a potentially pointless attempt to find a random person who just so happens to not have a partner. Tim’s loner time was interrupted as a boarbatusk burst out of the undergrowth, jumping straight at Tim. Tim rolled under the flying mass of grimm on reflex, rolling into a standing position, hand on sword hilt. The boarbatusk landed and turned to face Tim, its intentions clear. Tim stood and drew carnage, keeping low as the boarbatusk pawed the ground, ready to charge. The boarbatusk launched itself forwards, horns ready to impale Timothy. Tim set carnage at a 45 degree angle from the ground and prepared himself. As the boarbatusk reached Tim, his left eye flashed and he flicked upwards. The sword crashed into the boarbatusk’s stomach so hard that it flew, the force from the blow sending it flying above Tim’s head. The boarbatusk flew backwards and was struck again by Tim in the midsection, still in the air, cutting the boarbatusk in half. The boarbatusk’s halves fell to the ground. Tim flicked the blood off of Carnage and sheathed it, the glow in his left eye dying down again. If there’s one grimm here, then there might be one nearby… Tim thought. Sure enough, he found different boarbatusk’s tracks and began to follow it, hoping to kill it. Tim wove through the underbrush, seemingly still heading north, but stopped as he hard sounds of fighting. Creeping forward, he found a female student fighting the boarbatusk he was tracking. Instead of jumping in, he sat back to watch. The student was quite skilled, handling the boarbatusk with precision. It was clear that she had experience, as she didn’t freeze up in combat, and she knew exactly how to fight it. She’d managed to impale the boarbatusk by planting her spear into the ground where it would land and finished it with a swift chop to the back of the neck. The moves showed skill and efficiency, though there was a strange blast that had come out of the tip of her spear, which threw the pig into the air. Was it her semblance, or just her weapon? Regardless, she was the first student he had met since the start of this test and it seemed that she was his partner. Resigned to the prospect of opening conversation, Tim emerged from the bush, brushing off stray leaves and trying to appear non-threatening. “Um, Hi.” He tried awkwardly. “My name’s Tim. Seems like we’ll be partners from now on?”

"So that’s how its gunna be. I guess we can talk more when we are done." It bummed him out a little bit, but he figured this was serious time. Going all out wasn't Zee's style, he much preferred to toy with his enemy, learning what he can from their movements so that the next time, he could end the battle quickly if need be. He continued to walk backwards as a jest, having no problem hitting anything, save for a stumble he thought he handled that pretty well. From his right he heard a call in a familiar voice, and out from the bushes popped the young lady he met the day before. "Nahbi!" Zedong greeted his recent acquaintance happily. "All of these woods and you happen to find me? If I didn't know better I'd say you were stalking me, or its coincidence, but don't bruise my ego. I'm glad to see your safe." He could see the traces of battle on her, and the smell was undeniable. "Bathing in the blood of your enemies? I mean do your own thing but it’s a little too old fashioned for me." Turning to his companion he took care of the introductions, "Yasuri this is Nahbi, small but fierce. Nahbi this is Yasuri, silent but, no that’s all I got. He's cool tho. Did you get a partner yet, cause I don't think third wheels are allowed?"

"Pff," Nahbi replied easilly, "you would be so lucky to have someone as cool as me looking for your sorry butt." And it seemed that just like that, Nahbi was back to her old self. Whatever self-worth issues she'd been dealing with in the wake of facing off against her first Grimm (and almost killing her partner) fell away as she got back to what she knew: bantering. At Zee's 'blood of your enemies' crack, however, Nahbi's face pulled into one of disgust. "Ugh," she groaned, looking down at her arms, as though she were still coated in blood. "It was so gross… I mean, super cool and all but…" Nahbi brought her forearm up to her nose and took a sniff… only to instantly regret it. "Oh wow, ok mistake." After that, Nahbi gave a quick two-fingered salute to Yasuri, another tall dude with long dark hair. "How's it," she said in greeting. Remembering her own partner, she looked over her shoulder to see him. "Hey Silus c'mere!" Nahbi turned back to look at Zee and said, "Silus, Zee, Zee, Silus, Silus… Yasai?" She'd actually managed to forget Zee's partner's name already. With a shrug, she looked back to Zee and said, "He breathes fire," like a proud kid showing off her art project.

Silus rubbed the area just under his ribs as they walked. The wound still hurt but it was gone for the time being, thanks to the healing properties of his Aura…but the stitching effect was only slight. He would have to stop spinning too far to one side with his rotations for the rest of the exercise. His wrists flicked again, forcing Dragon’s Rush to collapse down into a less cumbersome form. He watched as Nahbi suddenly jumped ahead of him, her voice loud and cheerful. She had been mostly quiet since the Grimm fight, wrestling with the self doubt she had shown that was a part of her personality it seemed. Silus gave the smallest of smiles as he saw the easy banter between her and what seemed to be a friend. She gestured for him to come over and he nodded, rubbing the back of his neck while grinning “this isn’t show and tell Nahbi” he said before looking at Zee and his partner “Pleasure is mine, Silus Kuroi” he nodded “and yes, I do indeed breathe fire” he laughed a little before stretching his arms and looking forward into the forest “So…we better go find our end goal no? traveling together to work towards the finish line seems like a better idea” he said offering his hand to Zee “Agreed?”

Yasuri frowned, the childish, full of energy Human was rather annoying. And she seemed to have a lack of discipline, how vexing, hopefully she wouldn't be a part of his final team. He faced the lizard fanus from earlier, it seemed that even given his... eccentrics, he could focus on the task at hand, good, even if he was a fanus. Yasuri almost began to shake the Fanus's hand until he realized, that the fanus had... totally ignored him. Yasuri contained the frusteration he felt at the lizard and began to end towards the ruins he glimsped through the trees. He also saw several poeple through the trees. He called back as began quickly moving towards the ruins, "Nahbi, my name is Yasuri, try to remember it for a little longer this time."
