@WilsonTurner They won't exactly be avian as we know it though, but the closest description would be avian. They fly, seem to possess similar adaptations, but at the same time evolved very differently. Very.

I like trains.

I do hope your nation is the manipulative bad guy type. I know a certain orange-blooded species that might like to get their unanimously dark hands on some of them.

Or, you know, you could colonize the Rissan, then make a bunch of different territories which shove competing nations and religious groups into arbitrary mixed areas. You could also recruit a bunch of them to keep your rule secure, then end up with a rebellion led by them because they have to bite into forbidden materials in order to open up the battery packages for the rifles.

I mean, you've got the right uniforms.

Can't wait to see it! I've always liked to toy with that idea, it'll be nice to see what you do with it.

I'll have official accepts up soon along with my own app, I'm pretty busy with RPGC right now. Nothing more fun than airships, apocalyptic cycles, and nuclear holocausts!

No main character dies this time. In fact, it's pretty optimistic and cheerful. In the same way Sound of the Sky is optimistic and cheerful while the world is slowly ending due to desertification and the death of anything alive in the ocean.

Could be longer, but the app doesn't matter to me as much as actual posts. Aside from the usual typos and the like, there's not much of a problem (Although I did chuckle a bit when you put Fascism and Communism in the same nation). Being myself, I'd love to see the culture fleshed out. Considering the whole antitheses thing that's going on, it'd be especially interesting to see how their thoughts differ regarding religion.

Here's a small fix. No attention was paid to formatting and semantics, i'll halp with that when you ahve the final version roleld out =)

I avoided rephrasing entire sentences where I could as not to change what you meant, but there were sections that simply did not make any sense whatsoever, so I tried to guess what you meant by them and put it into words xD. In general, don't be afraid of the period. It makes it much easier to read if you have more smaller sentences, rather than oen that spans a line and a half. Especially when it covers multitude of topics - See 1st sentence of the race description. You used one to describe height, life expectancy, what food do they eat, and at the end - oh yeah, they are mostly human. I would start with saying they are msotly human, and then follow up with the differences, just one or two at a time.

As mentioned above, communism and fascism don't mix too well, in fact they were each other's worst enemy. If the planet is 10 times the size of earth, it either needs to be hollow or the people insanely strong to withstand such gravity. Also, you mention the two continents meeting in a "dark age" - that doesn't look like good age for intercontinental sailing to be achieved :D

I was just gonna go with essentially smart utah raptors gone evolution and having been genetically engineered so that they would eventually be smart, where they then started expanding from their jungly jurassic world to space because of the tech inside genetic labs on the ground from unknown peoples. And the fact that the entire planet they live on is literally a massive experiment gone wrong- the original owners left, leaving behind a gold mine in the genetic laboratory databases, booting what would be millenia-long tribal raptor peoples into modern+++ era, where they eventually found out that their planet is about six times younger than all the planets around them, and the sun, and everything, and that the core of the planet was actually three miniature black holes, kept stable and used for energy by massively complex indecipherable machines in the heart of the superplanet.

Simply speaking, an artifically created planet that used the gravity from controlled miniature black holes to both create the planet- just let the gravity break through but not anything else, and let the dirt and crap collect and then terraform after you've blown up and collected all the nearby planetoids and asteroids, and then do whatever to the surface.

Three miniature blacholes, orbiting each other in the center of a massive planet, controlled tightly by a super-advanced AI that continually refuses to admit my peoples, who are fine with that beacuse they couldn't hope to match it, nor could they do anything to it without risking their entire nation in the process. ;DD

I got the idea off a Christopher G. Nutall book.

Oh, you guys are going to love my nation!
Or hate it.
Depends on how well your diplomacy skills are.
Just saying...the nation is a representative democracy at its peak....tribal at worse(and most common).
Some of the 'countries' are suited to certain tasks tahn others, but each 'country' has their own quirks and diplomatic methods of reaching their goals.

I like the Kraikirans, buncha smart emo ravens xD But I do have nitpick - the compressed helium in the scales would not aid flight whatsoever. The more you compress it, the denser it gets and is going to "float" less. Ideally you'd want vacuum in there. also it'd be kind of hard to get into their system as it's so light it would just stick in the upper levels of atmosphere above the oxygen and float out into space and it doesn't really form any compounds that could be eaten.

@Forsythe Man, I knew my science was off. I was kinda taking inspiration from a documentary in which they envision what aliens would look like on another planet. But I guess there simply isn't enough room for enough helium. The ones I saw using helium was practically 75% gas and was about the size of a truck. I guess I'll have to think of something else.

Initially, I wanted to have some kind of an anti-gravity substance in their scales. But I thought it might be too outlandish. Vacuum on the other hand... I'm not sure. I thought vacuum does not contribute to lift?

But anyway, I'll think of something :D. Maybe the anti-gravity substance won't be so implausible. I mean, they recently found some kind of a substance in a species of crab that's harder than steel alloy, so... Maybe I could take a page from Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth?

Smart emo ravens is a somewhat accurate description :)
