Also, I reread the entire OOC. Someone mentioned earlier that Patch had a first-aid kit in the group's car... where did they wind up parking, again?

The car was parked on the other side of the next warehouse, but if they're in the car park just outside the target warehouse then there should be the armoured jeep that left earlier back parked there again so it would be a lot closer than their own car, just a few meters away.

Patch wouldn't want to have to carry Owl too far though, so it would be better if a vehicle was brought to them, preferably one with some sort of medical supplies in to help tend Owl's wounds.

Given the actions Patch has taken, Owl should be stable now for thirty-forty minutes before the internal bleeding starts to cause pressure on her lung. At that point he'll need to 'bleed' her to release the pressure, which would then complicate the recovery process. As long as he does this though the wound shouldn't be life threatening, but without surgery the muscles in her shoulder could take lasting damage which would seriously hamper her ability to use that limb, and that's Patch's biggest concern right now.

Already Owl's looking at at least two-three weeks without the use of her arm, once the surgery's performed to removed the bullet and clean the area of any possible infections. The cotton wool won't help there as it'll quickly bond with the clotting blood (within ten-fifteen minutes) and so Patch will have to cut out the partially repaired area along with the cotton wool, adding to the recovery time.

Owl will need at least six months physiotherapy to get the limb back in fully working order, but the wound will cause permanent tightness in the area due to the muscle and skin damage and the resulting scar tissue.

Worst case scenario would be that the pressure from the internal bleeding would crush Owl's lung, sending her into a 'panic attack' as her body tries to maintain oxygenated blood flow to her brain. The resulting increase in cardiac function would increase her bleeding, which in turn would escalate both the blood loss and the internal pressure. Eventually she'd die of blood loss more than anything. This is highly unlikely with Patch there to maintain treatment, but is reliant on his constant supervision and ability to focus on caring for Owl.

By the way, I'm presuming that Owl was hit in her right shoulder, as she suffered no hydraulic shock symptoms when first hit, which may've been caused if the bullet hit her left shoulder and sucked blood away from her heart as it penetrated. Of course, if she's a dextrocardiac then the opposite would be true, but in that case Patch would've noticed the effect and compensated as appropriate, and still performed the same actions as he has already done, only on the opposite side of Owl's body. As the odds of this are something like 1:12k I'm presuming that's not the case.

Umm... guys? Did anyone prepared the surgical equipment as Patch requested? I love your eagerness to come help save the day, but you may have just killed Owl. XD

Angel can-- uhhh... nvm. He's offsite still.
Welp. I may have to write a dramatic death scene.
I was totally not planning on killing her at some point still earlier than I intended for it to happen. XD

@RomanAria they're using the warehouse as a makeshift base. Guard areas have first-aid kits. Owl would've definitely seen it when she was resting at the front entrance. Patches may have seen it.

@RomanAria sorry, I didn't think about first-aid stuff, and Archangel's sensors and stuff only detects humans, not first-aid kits :P

In any case, I don't think there's much that I can do now. I'm off to dinner and then I might be able to post tonight.... and then I'm off to swim camp for 2.5 weeks... I give any and all of you full control over Ellie and her fate starting in approximately eighteen hours.

@RomanAria Not in the past two years, but I used to swim for a local community team that only did summer swimming. I stopped cause of college. Haven't had much time to swim since.

@Dragonite777 Ahh. Yeah, it's always tough to find time. What were your favorite events, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm a distancer. 500s and up for me, and also the 400 IM because I can pour it on the last lap.

We only had 50s and the 100IM, but my favorite was Fly. My best was Backstroke. Though, due to small team size, I'd have to swim all but 1 event (50 fly back brest free and 100IM) and usually got dragged into one or both relays (200 medley and/or 200 free relays)

@Dragonite777 Ahh. for HS we're only allowed to have 2 events and 2 relays each, due to the order of events I'm usually in the 200 free, 500 free, and 4x100 freestyle relay.
As far as USA, we have a max of 10 events and 2 relays over the course of two days... The ones I'm in can vary extremely depending on what I still need to qualify in for states.
As a test once my coach gave me what he called "the cruelest set of events ever" at one meet: 400 IM, fly leg of 4x100 medley relay, 200 Fly, 200 Free, 200 Breast, 1650 Free the first day; 500 free, 200 back, anchor leg of 4x200 free relay, 200 IM, 100 fly, 1000 free, and then exhibition for the 50 free because they had an open lane and I (my coach) wanted to make it an even 5000 that I had raced at the meet. So yeah. I did 5000 yards of racing in a 2 day meet... I told my coach that he should have just crucified me if he wanted to kill me. XD He let me off the hook for a while after that.

@Dragonite777 yeah my coach does all kinds of stupid training methods. At one point, as "mind-game" training, he put me in the water for a 500 and put our five fastest 100-ers on a 5x100 relay, and I was supposed to keep up with them going at full-tilt. Needless to say I swam a personal best 500 and yet still got almost lapped. .-.

@RomanAria Well, damn. I'm in the lower percentile of swimmers my age (20-30), but I improve my times a lot, so I got that going for me. The most I swam was when one of the 4x50 freesylers was out cause of something sprained and I'd swam all the individual events that day except 50 brest. So, the most I've swam in a meet at once is 350 yards :/ again, it is just a summer team (and 70% of the team is also on a school or year-round swim team), so I feel fat and slow, but I was in marching band all throughout high school, which is why I couldn't have been on a school or year-round team if I wanted to. But yeah, I was a mediocre swimmer.

Thinking of an earlier post, is the time I put in for Birdseed's swimming decent for a medium-intensity swim? I haven't been at a swim practice in 2 years and haven't swam anything longer than a 100 IM at a meet, so I'm not sure how realistic that is (I doubled the time of the top-percentile swimmers for whatever length I put).

@Dragonite777 Well... You had her doing a 200. I'm assuming meters, since this is England we're RPing in. I suck at IMs kind of, but my average meter 200 IM is like a 2:55/3:00, when I'm sprinting, so yeah I'd say for medium intensity "about five minutes" is fairly accurate.

Ooh, marching band, you say? What instrument?

@RomanAria Ok. I just wanted it to be a realistic medium-intensity time. And I played trumpet. All 5 years I marched (also marched 8th grade cause my 8th grade band teacher also worked at a high school)
