The Reaper
>>> Location Drydock Luna 1211
>>> Earth's orbit

"Captain on deck!" Simultaneously all hands in the bridge stood up to attention as Ghost walked in.
Glancing round Ghost made his way to his command console placing his palm on the scanner.
"At ease all. You know i hate that formality stuff" Reading the orders from Titian HQ he grunted and signaled for his communications officer to give him ship wide coms
"Right, Listen up For those of you that are new upon The Reaper. I am ghost, your captain, We are the first in the New line of Dreadnaughts and so far we have never taken any casualties. I want that to stay the same, so everyone do your jobs well and we will all get home quicker" Pausing for a few moments to collect his thoughts, Ghost wondered how it would be, to be apart of sigma and how different the operations would be.
We are now apart of Sigma. A level 5 sections of the the GNAS, all operations are beyond top secret so whatever happens when we leave drydock Didn't happen.
Our first mission is to move to the scol system to randevu with the other captains in the fleet before moving to the crux-Scutum Cluster to take part in a planetside rescue of a HVT. This is a training exercise so have simulation rounds loaded. I want Phantum two and Four to be ready to go at a moments notice, Ground team i want Foxtrot heavy and Golf support to gear up and load in the the ships ready. I dont know what we will be facing so be prepared for anything"

Moving back from his console and over to the navigator giving him the nod to initiate launch.
The Ship's engines started to grumble and the familiar rattle as the ship began to leave the dry dock
"Reaper this is Luna 1211, you are clear of drydock, move to Vector 089221 before jumping, there is a EUA Inner system patrol moving around this area.

Without a word from the Captain the crew altered course, it was about 30 minutes before the reaper was ready to jump Engine crews gave the clear and the warning lights whirled warning that jump was taking place.
Jumping in 3...2...1...JUMP
For a ship the size of the Reaper, FTL jumps are always rocky at first, FTL lag was common on ships exceeding 1.5KM in length, but once the flight had stabled out there was nothing to worry about.
One hour had passed, all combat checks were busy being complete, crews were gearing up and the ACMC was having its systems checked. Ghost made a habit of getting his crew to check everything over and over. He didn't want to leave anything to chance.
strolling about the bridge he looked over shoulders, and spoke to the crew making sure everything was set,
All hands. Coming out of FTL in 5 minutes. Buckle up as we deaccelerate

>> Location Schol system
>> Vector 99312115
The ships slowly decreased in speed, the rattling became just a distant memory, the all clear was given by the navigator that we was in 50KM of the randevu point.
Scans indicated that The Reaper was first in the system and that was no signs of any hostiles, Ghost ordered that the ships Point defenses was to remain live until the other ships came into support. The long range radar picked up nothing yet, but it was difficult even for the reaper to pick ships up that was in FTL JUMP.

cruising at full speed it was only 12 minutes before it arrived at the point. Now it was a waiting game.
Due to restrictions when it came to intel he didn't know who the other Captains were. All he knew was the fleet was Heavy And had a lot of firepower should the need arise.

A voice came over the comms Ghost, Phantum Two and four are good to go, ground teams have loaded up also, We shall wait on your Mark
It was about time they was ready, in future he would need the reaction time to be 3 times faster, but seen as everyone is still adjusting to life on ship again he will let it slide for now.
"Raven Team one and two i want you to launch in 3 minutes and start patrolling the area.Live rounds only. we are not in the testing area yet.

He wasn't taking any chances, better safe than sorry in most cases and this time wouldn't be any different.

The Courage
>>>Near the Hephaestus system Asteroid belt.
>>>Pirate hunting

"Launch all fighters and bring us around Ensign, give these ass holes the scare of a lifetime. Lieutenant Commander open channel to their vessels." Captain Knight was quite happy, the ‘pirates’ he'd been ordered to find were nothing more than illegal miners who had set up shop on an abandoned asteroid. They had attracted pirates sure but it was just a another rest stop to them, no need to go in guns blazing. Clearing his voice he stepped up to the transmitter. "This is Captain Knight of the Courage, you will all vacate the station immediately any attempts at resistance will result in your immanent destruction." The hundreds of souls aboard raced to their freighters and took off, fighters escorting them away as no life signs remained in the backwater station.

"Bring all fighters back and send in a search team. Any alcohol found will be stored in the mess hall." He droned on as he looked to Lieutenant Commander Hall. "Sam, you ever miss the days when we actually got to battle pirates and rogue ships?" The Lieutenant Commander rolled her eyes, they had been classmates at the academy and the moment she got the chance she signed on with him, he was jerk and a loudmouth but he was an ace commander.

"I do sir and I- Sir Incoming long range communication. From Titan HQ... Priority one, your eyes only." She sent the message to his view screen. He sat down looking at the monitor a moment before finally speaking.

"Damn, alright then." He typed up a quick memo to all crew explaining the new situation. Turning to the Lieutenant Commander. "Hall you have the bridge, the Ensign has the coordinates." With that he briskly got up and headed down towards the barracks. Hall rolled her eyes, Jackboot definitely the wrong nickname for him. Luckily they were already near the system it would be a short trip so he’d have to be back soon.

Knight put on his earpiece patching into the marines barracks loudspeaker as he climbed into the elevator. "Listen up! You ladies got a job to do, we are going to Defcon one people! You have three hours, pilots get yourselves ready to launch, troopers lock and load! Engineers get all the marines set up with practice rounds. We need to make impression people. The Alliance wants the Courage so lets show them what we can do. Your the best crew in the fleet!" He barked out as stepped out into the middle of the crew decks, tanks, mechs, and transports rolled through as they prepared for deployment. Major Matthews ran up as the men busied themselves his cybernetic arm and large stature made him easy to spot.

"So I'm assuming you want us to drop in immediately. I can have the mechs go first clear the landing zone. The Courage's shuttles can bring in reinforcements." He spoke loudly as off to his left a sergeant yelled at his troops to move faster. Knight shook his head and rubbed his temples.

"Were going to meet up with the fleet, I'll speak to other commanders. We shall see what they want to do, however we've got plenty of experienced soldiers. However you know our specialty is ship to ship combat. Now get the strike teams together." He told the Major patting him on the back.

The Captain returned to the bridge, Hall returning to her seat at communications as Knight took a seat as they exited FTL. He gave a whistle as through the bridge window he could see one of the new Dreadnoughts. "Hall open channel, other ships could be in area." Hall nodded and followed her orders.

"This is the GNAS Courage reporting to join Sigma. Captain Knight ranking officer. I'll be standing by if you wish to speak." He cut the channel yawning he kicked up his feet and watched the Dreadnought come closer and closer.

The Phoenix
>>>Gyserian Sector
>>>Captain's Office

Captain Rolgnar sat back in his newly installed recliner seat, one of many additions the Alliance had put on the ship. He had to admit, it was a good seat, if nothing else. He rocked in it for a few seconds before a message came up.

"Oh, wonderful. What's the bad news." he muttered as he leaned forward to check.

"Training exercise? Bah." He thought officer training had ended twenty years ago...

Realizing that it was, in fact, time to get moving, he sent orders to his key crew members.

*****

>>>Primary Bridge

"Captain on the bridge!"

All men stood at attention as Rolgnar strode down the long bridge, glancing at side screens before sitting in the captain seat.

"Inspection went well?"

Cassian turned around and looked at the captain. "Well enough, sir, but rather short."

Rolgnar chuckled. "This is an experienced crew, do we really need a long inspection? Tell Tyman down there to get that drive moving, we don't have all day."

Cassian nodded and turned back around.

Rolgnar sent a message to his tech team. "The formatting broke again. Fix the damn thing!"

He then saw something out of the corner of his eye.

"Pantos!"

The railgun operator almost jumped as he heard his name yelled at.

"What is that damn thing on your screen?"

Pantos looked at the captain meekly after quickly closing it. "It's pacman... the oldest game in-"

"Stop playing that crap and look at the damn mainview! We're about to move! Pacman..." Rolgnar shook his head.

The Riptide
>>Supplies Randevu, Mars Orbit
A petite woman walked up behind Poseidon. "Sir, the supplies are loaded, and we're ready to part." Poseidon turned to face her, "Thank you Allanah, please foward the debrief to me." There was a small beep on his comm, and he started to read the debrief. Poseidon entered the bridge, "Captaian on b-" Poseidon waved his hand to signal him to stop. "Ok we've got a mission from HQ. We're going to rendezvous with other the fleet, and then engage in a training exercise. Get locked and loaded, simulation rounds only! I repeat, simulation rounds only. Remember, Sigma protocol, tell this to no one!"

Once the debrief was done he sat in his chair. "Atlantis, undock form the spaceport, and get all thrusters going." "Yes sir." Atlantis replied,Che same way as always to commands. The ship undocked, and started to rapidly speed up. "I want two Ion-Striker formations, and the rest Warbird formations. Atlantis, prepare for a Jump." Atlantis' voice went on the intercom. "Attention crew members, we are preparing for an FTL Jump, please hang on and buckle up. 30...29...28" It went on the rest of the way, "5...4...3...2...1...0" The rumble of the Antimatter and SH4 began, and soon subsided. A buzz came through the captains intercom, and Atlantis' voice sounded through. Sir we are picking up a signal of two ships, the Reaper, and the Courage." "Send them a video transmission." The two captains faces came on the bridge screen. "Hello Gents..."

The Ptolemy
>> Geosynchronous Orbit around Jupiter
>> Final Testing

"Keep us steady, Mr. Wilson. We are not testing the bombers or the OADies today.' A young man said politely sitting near the back of a rather large bridge. He was talking to his helmsman who sat it front of his console quickly pressing buttons as the ship stayed in orbit over the Great Red Spot of Jupiter. High command wanted the ship to test her orbital gravity generators, so the captain had chosen the spot where he had decided he wanted to join the navy. When he was a boy, his father had taken him on his ship and showed him this exact spot. Jake had promised himself he would some day take his own ship and eventually his own child here.

"Alright. Move us into the gravity zones and start the generators." He ordered as his crew moved to follow his commands. The Ptolemy shook but she was a strong ship. Eventually she stabilized and stayed still. "Excellent! It works. Send the data to Earth..." He said before his comms officer cut him off. "Sir! Message from Titan HQ. For your eyes only." Jake nodded as the data was to his chair. He read it quickly before turning to the crew.

"Orders from Titan. We are to go to the Scol System. Start plotting the course while I address the crew." He said as his crew got to work. The ship was moved out of Jupiter orbit. Jake turned in his chair as his screen came up. His image appeared around the ship on different screens. It was old fashioned but it was the Geary way. "We are heading out to the Scol system. It will take us 45 minutes to power to FTL and in that time I need all craft ready. I need both drones and ships ready to go. When we arrive I want the bombers and drone teams ready for a quick insertion. We are designed for orbital actions so let's show them. Everything must work. We all need to be our best. I know we all will. Geary out." He said as the entire crew began running around the ship getting ready.

In exactly 45 minutes, the ship fired the main FTL drive and powered up to full power. "All hands brace for FTL jump in 3...2..1.. Jump." He said as the Ptolemy launched into FTL. It took her about an hour before she phased into the area. "Boss, we are in place. I detect Courage, Phoenix, Reaper, and Riptide. I will send them all a message." Marta said as Jake looked up and saw the images of the other Captains. "GANS Ptolemy standing by. Jacob Geary here. I have my crew standing by." He said as the feed was put in the background. He was too busy organizing his crew.

Sovereign, docked at Trading Station #42564
Mayumi sighed as she looked through the checklist that she had been trying to avoid for the longest while. Every single time that she returned to restock, she had to call for people to bring supplies on board, before having to go through the inventory herself and make sure nothing was forgotten. However, inventory checks takes far too long in her opinion, and was an absolute boring task to do so. Sighing once again in exasperation, she stood up. "Looks like I can't delay this any longer." While muttering these words to herself, she turned around, only to bump into her first mate. "Ah, Yuu-chan! Want to help me go through the cargo?" Although in a slightly teasing manner, Mayumi was sincerely asking for help. Which was why she was surprised as she was turned down with a simple 'No'. Noticing the expression on the smaller woman, Yuuyami smiled. "When I said no, I meant there was no need to." Seeing the expression change from surprise to confusion, she clarified herself. "I've already done it."

Mayumi stared at her first mate in utter shock, which was to be expected. After all, it normally took three people an hour, or a single person five hours. She had done in the time that three people took, by herself. "Why didn't you say anything?" However, Mayumi instantly regretted these words, as she heard the response. "Who's going to help a traitor like me?". Before their usual argument over this could continue, the main console beeped, notifying the crew of a message. Mayumi quickly returned to her seat, before opening the small holoscreen in front of her. Scanning through its contents, she beckoned towards Yuuyami. "We've got a training exercise it seems."

Her first mate also reviewed the message, narrowing her eyes ever so slightly at the word 'Sigma', before sighing. "We're a battlecruiser. We normally don't move in a fleet.", earning her the response, "It's fine, it's fine.". The captain turned towards her crew, before sweeping out her hand. "Alright, we have new objectives this time around! We are participating in a fleet operation, a training exercise, where we will perform surface rescue. Feed power to one of the warp cores, as well as the Discharge Shield Capacitors!" A high-pitched whine could be heard, as the warp core was charged up.

After a moment of delay, the battlecruiser disappeared, before reappearing in the system. "We're not the only ones Sigma recruited..." At the muttered words of her first mate, Mayumi glanced at the radar. Multiple other ships. All with GANS identification. "Courage, Phoenix, Riptide, Reaper, Ptolemy, and now us." About to patch herself through to the other captains, she noticed Yuuyami sidestepping out of the way, avoiding the camera. Without a single word, Mayumi grabbed her arm, before tugging her back to her position, standing behind the captain's chair.

Without further ado, the captain patched herself through towards her fellows on the other ships. "Sovereign, reporting in."

The Aegis
>>Univa Sector
>>Aegis Command Center

A petite woman was sitting on the captain's chair looking at the holographic map as she watch her ship continue travelling through the sector that she was in for nearly an hour now. She was on a low-priority mission to research an anomaly in the Univa Sector whenever she had time to do so. Right now she was free and the sector was close to where she was previously on her last mission so it was only convienent for her to take this detour while the crew rested as this mission would simply be scouting the area. Meanwhile, scanners on the Aegis didn't detect anything strange in the proximity but the girl in the chair wanted to make sure and continued to scout the sector until she was comfortable with it to leave. Suddenly a silent alert appeared on the bottom of the screen before one of the girls looked at it before speaking to the captain.

"Ms. Remi? A message has been directed to us from Titan HQ and for you only, if you wish we may enter into stasis mode if you wish? The girl said to the Captain, Ms. Remi an android who was the captain of the starship Aegis and was a very nice person despite her mechanical appearance. The ships crew had a neutral opinion of Remi for being a mechanical captain, some had positive opinions of her, while some didn't think nice things about his and some just didn't care.

"No, don't worry about it, It'll only be for a moment continue your task in monitoring as normal while I take it." Remi said to the girl and typed several commands on her console board before she placed her hand on top of the keyboard. In a second the information was transferred over to Remi to observe its contents, taking a few seconds to analyze it. It was a message from the head quarters about a training mission; it something she didn't mind now that she was done with her current mission, and besides liked being occupied with missions instead of being bored. "It seems like this mission is done, no abnormalities were detected even after prolonged observation and searching. Next course of action is to group up with the other fleet, please check all systems before initiating the FTL drive.

All of Remi's crew members inside the command center who were connected to the ship confirmed in acknowledgement before their minds went to work quickly scanning the ship's individual parts and programs or any damage. It would only take a minute at most due to the complexity of the ship but with 25 people to work on it and double check everything it was safe and quick considering it... After a short time, a diagnostic came in with results. Confirming the finding were adequate we her expectation, all resources on the Aegis were looking near full as they docked to resupply in the sector when they entered with the exception of energy. They had been testing the Aegis' shielding capabilities again with asteroids being able to move through an asteroid field with no injuries to the ship but wasted a large amount of energy in the process.

"Hello Crew Members of the Aegis, please be cautious and hang onto your belongings as the ship will be engaging in a FTL Jump. I repeat, please be cautious and hang onto your belongings as the ship will be engaging in a FTL Jump." Remi said as she was pressing a button on the console before a brief delay her message was recorded and was broadcast throughout the ship. Their FTL drive for their ship was charging and in 20 seconds the ship was able to take off, speeding towards the fleet. Upon reaching the coordinates, scanners instantly picked up three signals from larger ships and upon reading the signals were the Riptide, Reaper and Courage. The three of those ships were definitely larger than the Aegis two of them by several meters and the Reaper by a decent amount. The traveling time wasn't long as the Univa Sector was pretty close and thankfully a convenient location to travel from thankfully. Now awaiting orders, Remi and the Aegis turned its engines off before activating its generators to generate extra power during the meantime to compensate from their earlier foolish action to go through an asteroid field... During their little transformation, Soverign and Ptolemy appeared from wherever they were and grouped up with the other ships currently here.

"Sir," A female operator spoke out -- presumably the same one who spoke over the intercom system -- as Solarin entered the bridge area. He stopped as he took a single step into the room, gasping in awe as he stared at everyone in the rather large bridge area. There were crew members -- "operators" as the Hypharin Starfleet liked to call them -- in the bridge, working tirelessly on their computers, typing away as they effortlessly made sure that the Mundus was safe. How they did it -- or what they did -- Solarin had no idea, but Solarin had much thanks to give to them and their astonishing work.

"What's our mission?" Solarin stated as he began to walk forward towards the chair that sat in the middle of the room, taking a seat in it as he stared forward towards the large screen that covered the entire wall at the end of the room, the screen showing the outside. "Hypharin Starfleet told me we would have a mission today, what's our mission--"

"Message for you, sir," One of the operators spoke out, causing Solarin to look slightly towards his right where a rather large screen sat -- no bigger than that of a computer screen. Solarin slowly began to flick his fingers around on the screen before finally, a rather large message appeared on the screen. His eyes quickly scanned through the message, causing his eyes to light up with an excited sort of flare.

"Prepare for an FTL jump to the Scol System!" Solarin shouted out into the bridge, causing every operator to stop what they were doing and turn around, their pair of eyes facing him.

"Yes, sir!" An operator shouted out.

"Please prepare for an FTL jump," A voice spoke over the intercom. "We will be jumping in one minute," Solarin gave a slight nod to himself as he placed both of his hands on the arm rest of the chair, satisfied that the orders he were given were being executed, even if his orders didn't have any sort of context behind them, his crew listened to him.

"Perhaps we should tell them about Sigma?" A rather low-toned voice came from the side of Solarin, causing his head to dart over to his left, over to see his first mate standing there, her white blonde-ish hair catching his attention away from the fact that she had a cigarette in her mouth. Slowly, she moved forward, walking down a few steps before taking a seat in the chair directly in front of Solarin -- although it was two or three feet lower.

"Later, when our mission is fulfilled,"

"Roger that, captain," She said the last word with a sort of rebellious tone. Solarin sighed, not daring to call her out on it. It had been this way for the past month or so. He didn't exactly think that his first mate -- his second-in-command in case anything went wrong with him -- liked him in a professional way or in a non-professional way.

After a moment or two, the Mundus reappeared in the system.

"Multiple other ships detected, captain!" An operator shouted out.

"Friendly?" His first mate yelled out.

"Appears to be, sir!" A different operator spoke out.

"Sarah, do you mind putting out the cigarette?" Solarin asked, only to be met with a rather harsh glare from her. The smoke had begun to annoy Solarin for quite a while, but he hadn't dared to announce it until he had coughed once or twice. He didn't want to perhaps antagonize her, seeing as how the two of them would be working on board the same ship for quite some time.

"The name is commander Loklan, sir," And with that, Loklan took out the cigarette from her lips, holding out her hand before dropping the cigarette to the floor. Solarin gave out a heavy sigh.

"Establish a communications link to the other ships!" Solarin yelled out.

"Yes, sir!" An operator spoke out. "It's done, sir!"

"This is the HYS Mundus," Solarin began. "I am Captain Solarin of this ship--" Solarin stopped himself, having seemingly messed up what he wanted to say. "... The HYS Mundus, reporting in."

"Eva unlock the war room and let the section heads back in."

"Of course sir. Was that command, I could not read the file, level 5 encryption. What was on it?"

"It was level 5 for a reason."

Ra stood there and watch the eight section heads re-enter the war room. The all looked well rested and ready for a new mission.

"Sir!!" They said with a salute.

"At ease. Now we have our new orders from Titian HQ. They are putting us in a new special operations fleet named Sigma. We even have our first mission. But for now lets get in order. Jakson (gunnery chief), what are our new recruits looking like."

"Good sir, some look a little wet behind the ears but we can fix that."

"Grand, we will need them ready. We will be meeting up with the rest of the fleet in the Scol System to discuss battle plans. By then you will already have your assignments and will need to be ready. Oh and Star (2nd helmsman), how do you and Mercy (1st helmsman) feel about massive fluxes in Gravitational fields, you think the Normandy can handle it?"

"Yes sir, we have done it before."

"Great, one last thing before you go: this is a top secret operation, so what ever mission details you get from here on out are not to leave this ship. This goes for all members on board, so spread the word. You are dissmissed."

"Sir yes, Sir." they all said in unison as they filled out.

Ra was left alone with the war room attendees and Eva.

"Well that was dull sir. You could of have at least inspired them to do great."

"Eva you know I don't do cuddly. Give me an ETA for our FTL jump to Scol System."

"Calculating........FTL jump will take 2 hours sir."

"Alright when we are ready signal Mercy to make the jump and take us out."

"Yes sir. Attention all crew FTL jump commencing in 5...4....3...2....1...Enjoy Your Trip. She said with a smile.
The Normandy jumped and then steeled. FTL was a very smooth ride for the ship and its crew and when it was quiet, the only thing you could hear was the drive core humming. Eva had brought up a map of the Scol System Ra was going over it.

>>>Scol Syetem
>>CIC (Combat Information Center)

"Sir we have just came out of FTL. I'm picking up eight other ships in the system: the Reaper, the Courage, the Phoenix, the Riptide, the Ptolemy, the Sovereign, the Aegis, and the Mundus. Opening communication lines with the ships."

"Alright turn off the stealth drives and monitor any other jumps in, and tell me if they contact us."

"Yes sir."

Ra had only heard of a few of the ships and their captains but he looked at the hologram and saw how massive they were. He awaited contact from the other captains to discuss the mission.

The Mangudai
>Orbit around Gliese 581 d

Mariko stood surveying her surroundings within her command center, snugly placed in the middle of her ship. She wore a dull, pearl white captain's uniform, roughly matching the color of her hair. Those around her were busy tapping away at their screens, yet it was clear that they were all ready to see some action. The ship was brand new, yet by this time, most of the paperwork was completed and sent out to the higher ups. Now began the dull limbo between the excitement of a new ship and the action of the first mission.

The monotony was broken by a balding man dressed very similarly to Mariko. His faced was worn with the marks of hard work and dedication to his job. Many would have been surprised to realize that this man was only a few years older than the captain. Mariko listened intently as he turned to face her.

"Ma'am, there's an urgent message regarding a new mission, I think you should see it."

Mariko thumbed through her personal screen and activated the message. Finally she thought something to do.

"Eddie," she said to the balding man, "check if our FTL drives are ready." Silence remained over the two while he messaged the engineer presiding over the ship's engine. Luckily for everyone on board, the engine was ready. Eddie nodded silently to Mariko as she reached over to the microphone near her and brought it next to her mouth.

"All crew, this is your captain speaking. We will launch our FTL drives in 10 minutes. We are going to be taking part in our first mission, I hope you're all as excited as I am." Her voice boomed throughout the entire ship. As she put down her microphone, Mariko forwarded the coordinates of their destination to her navigators, who began to furiously check radar for any oncoming bodies. They sent back the flight plan to Mariko, who promptly turned to her first mate.

"Eddie, relay to any ships that this stretch of space is to not be entered say . . . for the next 36 hours. This mission is top secret, after all," Mariko said, bubbling with excitement at the thought of her first real mission. Eddie furiously began to tap at his screen, much like most of the others within the command center. Mariko herself began to frantically relay information about the mission to the rest of those in the room, noting how this was meant to be a training exercise. She made sure that the weapons operators knew that live weaponry was restricted after they managed to rendezvous with the rest of the fleet.

The minutes passed like hours as she looked up information regarding the area, her leg bouncing with enthusiasm as her crew readied itself for the journey.

"Oh, Eddie?"

"Yes ma'am?" Eddie replied, turning away from his screen.

"Turn on Albarn's Concerto No.2, will you?"

"Of course," he said, already a step ahead of her. A slow, faint tune began to play throughout the ship. Many crew members groaned, having heard this piece almost a hundred times before, but Mariko did not pay them any mind. By this time, however, the ship was already scheduled to be on its way towards the Scol System, where Mariko could finally meet some other captains. The screen counted down until the jump began.

5 . . . 4 . . . 3 . . . 2 . . . 1 . . .

The jump didn't take long. In fact, there was nothing special about it. Most of the crew began to meander around like nothing had happened, but the command center was still overflowing with energy. Mariko turned to Eddie,

"Eddie, pull up the outer camera feed up to the big screen"

Eddie nodded and began to furiously move through his screen. Soon after, the huge screen surrounding the room lit up with a beautiful view of the surrounding area. Just then, someone within the room looked up from their screen.

"Ma'am, a communications link has been established between all the ships in this area, awaiting further orders,"

Without much hesitation, Mariko eagerly picked up her microphone and motioned for the crew member to link her.

"This is Captain Mariko Matsumoto of the Mangudai, I look forward to working with you all,"

It had been very slim pickings as the only contraband that they caught and seized was from freighter caring stolen alcohol. It had been weeks since that incident and the crew was tired of doing unimportant missions. However the captain didn't seem to share the feeling of boredom with her crew as she sat in her captains chair bright and cheery as ever humming a little tune that she had started a least two hours ago. Tel didn't stop until one of her officers handed her a pad with a Level Five encrypted communication. Quickly accessing the message she read though it knowing that whatever its contents were it was sure to be exciting.

It was more than Tel could have hoped for as she finished reading the message "Plot a course for the Scol system best possible speed and have the ship cease all out going messages".

"Yes ma'am" the crew said with slight sigh of relief glad that they were on the move and more than likely glad that Tel had stopped her out of tune humming.

"Comms patch me though to the crew" the comm officer responded quickly flipping a few switches before giving tell the thumps up to proceed. Tel's face went completely serious knowing that being apart of this new Sigma Fleet was nothing to joke about. This was as humans say the big leagues "This is the captain we have gone radio silent as we will be meeting up with several ships to form a new covert fleet. Anything from that happens on this ship from this moment on is to be kept secret until further notice. All mail coming in or out will now be checked, any mention of this ships status and I will chuck you into the ships reactor for treason. Now I want everyone ready as we will be conducting a drill. The mission we have to do is a simple rescue and evacuation from a planets surface. Now all hands prepare for FTL in 30 seconds" quickly Tel signalled the comms officer to close the ship wide channel.

Exactly 30 seconds later everyone was ready for FTL and so was the ship as it lurched into FTL. Tel admired how spectacular it was to travel faster than light remembering that people used to think it world take the power of a galaxy to travel faster than light. She was also amazed how much the alliance was willing to trust her after all they had only been part of the alliance for a short time. But their was one thing nagging her at the back of her mind and that was whether the other captains would except the Fading Light and her crew as equals. After all they were just androids which most thought considered them just property to own.

The ship finally came out of FTL "set scanners to max and give me a run down who's out there" Tel looked over the shoulders of her radar operator as the list of ships appeared on screen. "Well looks like some heavy hitters" Tel was surprised at the amount of fire power here and most of it was the best around. Excitement was building within her thinking off the missions that this fleet would be executing. "Well I guess it's time to say hi" Tel said as she opened communications to the fleet "Greetings fellow captains it seems I'm a bit late but shall we begin discussing what ideas we have for the mission before we dive head first into these games". As Tel finished she sat back down on her seat folding her legs as she waited for a response with great expectation and a grin on her face.

Rolgnar studied the readings of the fellow ships in the fleet. “Heavy ones, then. They even sent a dreadnought for this one.”

He turned to Cassian. “Set up a live room for the good captains. And please, don’t run it off the main network. Use my system if you have to, the other one’s good as broken.”

Cassian nodded and went to creating a network chatroom, pinging all ships in the fleet and automatically pinging any newcomers to join. It would make use of holograms if possible to display in the center of the bridge, or if that wasn’t possible on the mainscreen. Rolgnar sat back and sent a message to everyone who had arrived so far. “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen. Captain Rolgnar here. I invite you all to a network channel, Id,” he looked at Cassian, who sent him the Id. holding up his miniscreen, Rolgnar continued “#tysig_4561, to discuss our next course of action.” Cutting off the message, he signalled again to Cassian. “If new ships come in, authenticate them and send my message.”

>>>System Administration Room

Sitting in a raised cubicle that resembled that of the other six staff under his command, working under dim lights and with raw system code, Tyson Ferkwood had spent the entire duration of what was supposed to be inspection looking at glitchy Ai encoding and having his techies work on the internal network. Inspection was an unnecessary burden for the peasants operating guns and security teams. His team was the one keeping the ship alive, after all. Never mind those fellows on the main bridge.

He noticed that the captain ‘borrowed’ his private network, again. He never should have given the captain those codes… then again, if the captain had found out himself, there would have been an interesting conversation.

“How’s the network coming up?”

One of the technicians looked up at Tyson. “I’m just about to run a test. I’m sending it to everyone in here now.

Tyson nodded. “That’s just fine.”

One technician raised a hand. "Didn't the captain-"

Tyson stared him down. "He was obviously making some sort of unreasonable demand. Just because the firmware is out of date doesn't mean it doesn't work! Right?"

All six technicians nodded slowly.

The Reaper

Within 10 minutes of the Reaper arriving on location all the other ships started to warp into the system. Ghost stood watching the fleet map as all the ships scanned and every ship confirming their identity.
"Captain's. Welcome, I am Ghost the Captain of The Dreadnaught Reaper. While i know all this is very hush hush and you may only know what the briefing told you. I'm Afraid thats all you are privy to at this time. While you may have been accepted into Sigma you all have to prove yourself as i do to Titan HQ. When you are ready. The Phoenix is setting up an encrypted channel for us all to talk freely, Ghost out

He was hailed by The Phoenix with to join a live plotting room. As was standard he ordered his techs to run a full scan of the network, making sure no data packets could be leaked or any harmful software could be installed.Normally a ship of this size would AI to do this job but ghost was old fashioned in this respect. Only allowing Trident to be used for Aiming of the Maingun.

Captain Channel is secure
with that Ghost moved over to his chair and opened up the screen. Signing in with his ships registry,
This is Ghost signing reporting in. Hows the connection Phoenix?

Sir, the Phoenix has sent out a live channel. Shall I start the scan?

Yeah, start it. Atlantis, I want ship designations on all that have entered so far.

Yes Sir.

Sir the scan is complete, we are good to go.

Poseidon now sat in his chair on the bridge, with his screen in front of him. He adjusted his chair, and began his introduction.

Hello ladies and gentlemen of Sigma. I am Captain Poseidon of the Riptide. I will look forward to be working with you, and to get to know you. So, shall we start discussions our first missin?

Poseidon watched as many other ships joined the live chat. He was excited, but did not want to show that he was that eager to start mission planning, so he continued with a calm...

Ghost, Rolgnar? Any suggestions?

"Captain! The Phoenix has opened a live channel with all the ships."

Nodding to acknowledge the operator, Mayumi responded, "Alright, run background checks on everyone. The ships, and their captains.", before sitting upright in her seat. However, before they joined the channel, Mayumi quickly grabbed the arm of her first mate, before the latter could run off. "I will only end up complicating things for you." Kurayami muttered, to which she gained a rather expected and carefree "Don't worry, it'll fix itself!"

With the joining of the channel, Mayumi spoke. "I am Captain Saegusa, of the Sovereign. I hope we can be of use to you all. Now that we have gathered, shall we start the planning process?"

"Alright sir seting up connection in the Vid Com room. You will need o sign in."

"Make sure I am not disturbed, Eva."

>> The Reaper
After all the captains had signed in and greated everyone else there was a few moments of silence, Before ghost in his calm but coarse voice spoke softly. Greetings all. I am Captain Ghost, The captain of Sigma's flagship Reaper. Titan HQ wants to to come up with a brief plan of attack before entering this system. We are treating this like a Live OP" Clearing his throat a bit before continuing and pulling up a map of the area, he began to speak. Now going off previous HTV rescue ops, heres what i suggest, Frigates will sweep round to the left and right, followed by the Battleships. the two carriers the dreadnaught and the retro will sweep through the center. escorted by cruiser . When we all reach point Bravo the heavier ships move into defensive positions marked on your lap now., the frigates will move to point Charlie which is 5km away from the fleet. you will provide flanking should the need arise. As for the ground assault intel suggests this is only a small compound, My crew is too heavy for this so i will let which captains who will assault come up with that plan.

He sat back in his chair, wonder how the other would respond. he turned his mic off so he could issue orders to his crew to ready up.

Knight had been reviewing troop dossiers and gotten distracted. When the Lieutenant Commander finally threw her data slate at him. With a loud crack he refocused. Hall spoke in perfect monotone with just a hint of rage. "The other Captains set up a communication line and requesting you join... Sir." She grumbled and sat back down.

Knight joined in just in time to here the tactics and planning of the ship movements. "Greetings all, Captain Knight here. Sorry I'm late, technical error."

Knight listened, the formation and tactics were solid. He nodded when Ghost explained his crew was not the ones to go in. "I believe that's where my ship can come in, I have all my marines at the ready. I'll have the Major pick out a crew of about a hundred men to take down with him. Unless someone else would like to volunteer there men to join, we can have the compound secured and the HVT. I'll have the an extraction team ready to bring them back once they've completed the mission." He told them with a sigh.

"Of the other tactic is a low orbit attack, my ship can fly down and drop off a larger assault force to take the entire base in matter of moments and then bring him back aboard and pull out. Benefit of being a colony ship is being designed to land and take off again." He smiled and leaned back. "The second plan is far quicker job but means I won't be in the blockade. However it guarantees the target has less time to run more boots in place. It depends on how you all want to play it, smash and grab or precision assault. Both have upsides and downsides." He shrugged. "Either way my boys are ready."

The Mangudai

Mariko grumbled as she moved into a separate communication channel. The command center was still abuzz as they listened intently to the plan.

The mission at hand sounded rather dull, at least for her ship and crew, but Mariko assumed something was better than nothing. She listened intently while the other captains discussed their course of action. As the captains talked, the rest of Marikos crew waited in a volatile stillness.

Mariko was eager to interject at her first chance, "All right then, if my ship is gonna have to buddy up with someone, I'd be nice if I knew soon."

She muted her microphone as she looked towards Eddie, "Eddie, contact the engine core, see if we're ready to move,"

"Will do, ma'am," he said as he clicked away at his screen, "They say we're doing good and that they're ready to 'ball' when you are,"

"Perfect," Mariko purred as she turned her attention back towards the communications link.
