General Dereth

Name: Dereth Unrad
Age: 40
Race: Human

Appearance:

Dereth Unrad is relatively tall with youthful sculpture giving away a false age, he is over forty but has the build of a thirty year old warrior. He wears dark blue clothes and hood with golden ornaments and platings, one particular plating acting as a mask that covers his entire face. When he is not wearing the mask he has the face of a friendly but veteran, and grown up man. Blue eyes, beautiful nose, exceptional beard and clean brows with a scar going over his lip, still attractive to those few women that get to kiss it.

Bio: Dereth is currently serving as the High King's general of the special unit of Magical Hunters that are sworn- under the loyalty of their code and their king- to protect the Human territory of Alinsu. The Magical Hunters are a group of small-banded knights, closely knitted men and women that are trained in the arts of combative magic. Dereth have been the general, acting leader, of this elite unit since ever he was enrolled in the High King's service. Before that he was a lone adventurer that sought coin and glory capturing rogue bandits or outlaw Orcs that are in violation of their Human-Orc permit to work within Alinsu. He was not very famous, but when he did walk into some place a familiar aggression was building up in the air, raising the nerves of undercover fugitives or murderers.

Dereth was born and raised in the little town of Buhayr-at Sehr on the rural outskirts of Almasa city, it was a peaceful little town that was focused on agriculture and producing the finest horses the Imperials used. His father was a landlord and his mother a Bard that worked in their tavern as well as managing it. He lived well as a kid and grew up with both parents alive. However in the years of teenagehood he decided to roughen up, he joined a dueling club in Almasa, after which he excelled notably. His magic skills came along through his adventures in the forests of Aljaan, where he fell in love with an Elf woman that taught him magic- what would have taken a Human to learn in years- he learned it in one.

Role: General of the High King's Magical Hunters elite unit, ex-adventurer.

Skills: Skilled in hand-to-hand combat, master swordman and pretty adept with any hand held weapon. He is also has combative magical skills that are enhanced after years of practice and use, also an Elf helped him with his learning process. Allowing him thus to accumulate knowledge of magic fast and be able to put it to use as early as he was done learning.

Dereth is very good with words and dealing with officials, commons, traders, thieves, beasts, he is just basically a man of great words and communication. Hence he won the extremely hard position of acting leader of the Magical Hunters unit.

Weapons:

- Massive twin A'awajun daggers.
- A huge lance he keeps at the Armory of his unit's base.
- Small dagger hidden underneath his clothes, changes its location every other time.

Gugd-ver

Name: Gugd-ver Ruthloodge
Age: 35
Race: Human

Appearance:

Gugd-ver wears a heavy set of Armor belonging to a Second Era Imperial Knight, he had gotten this armor set in a Tavern bet he had with an old Imperial general. He stands at an impressive height, his armor hiding his somewhat fat, Ale-gut. The flag that is attached to his armor belonged to the last High King's kingdom, he wears it obliviously and constantly gets stopped by Imperials, threatened of the major crime of treason against the High King. His face is scarred, but has beautiful features that speak a dual impression of courage and courtship, the latter being a false impression.

Bio: Ever since winning the armor his aspirations grew from bashing heads of irritating drunkards to slaying Monsters and beasts all throughout Rayisa. He joined multiple hunting guilds but never lasted long in any, much to his hard headed demeanor and reckless aggression. He was raised in an Orphanage in Almasa, where he caused daily troubles and crimes when he turned 16. The orphanage decided he was too much trouble, none with their minds fully functioning desired to adopt him, and so he was kicked out. On papers it says he escaped, he didn't care much and crawled outside the city and into the local taverns of the rural countryside.

He made lousy jobs between a Tavern service boy, a stable boy, a thief, smuggler, bodyguard to wealthy traders and finally a hired sword. Three years after winning the ancient armor, Gugd-ver was already starting to slay beasts and elusive Orcs for coin, he kept that line of career up until the rumors of the High King's illness. Being foolish, reckless, and lustful for mindless combat he decided his luck at the High King's Seat, if only to fight as many souls as he could.

Role: Monster Hunter, Infamous hired sword, womanizer.

Skills: Gugd-ver is very skilled in combat, his battle rage and reckless probably being both his best and worst trait. He has no respect for tactics, plans, or the entirety of the thinking concept. Whenever a threat is present he aims high for the neck and swings whatever longaxe or mace he is carrying.

He is also quite expert on the geography of Alinsu, knows the ins and outs, the secret passages, the corrupted guards and Imperial soldiers to bribe. He also has pretty good knowledge of the common and rare creatures roaming the deserts of Qahila or the beasts by the entrances of Ghelanard Valleys.

Weapons:

- His favorite weapon is a longaxe that came along with his armor.
- A shield he used only once, before deciding it was slowing him down from killing more opponents.

NAME: Balrog The Conquerer
AGE: 46
RACE: Orc

DESCRIPTION: Balrog has a grim look about him. Blooming red eyes. Intimidating, distinguished canine teeth. His armor made of the finest Orcish steel, mined the Orchish ore himself making sure to bring only the best to his blacksmith. Forged by the best and most expert blacksmith in his region, the armor took 2 days to be completed. Adding some bone ornaments to it made it look even more intimidating. His trusty battle axe, a gift from another tribe chieftain. His over all look intimidating and unpleasant to the eye. Not to mention the amputated head dangling from his waist belt. The head belongs to a warlord Balrog killed in his first raid.

BIO: Balrog lived his whole life in Ghelanard valleys. Ghenron his tribe, baring the fire emblem. His tribe was considered one of the largest and the most powerful tribe in the western valley, yet it was peaceful and political. Balrog was one of the chieftain's sons. He was the oldest of them all. His father never had the vision of ruling over the valley or Rayisa for that matter, he was political and civil with other tribes. His father wanted to unite the tribes into one nation. But it wasn't very successful, there was the conflict of who will rule over that Orcish nation. Eventually his father failed to accomplish that dream of his, due to old age and desperation. Balrog believed in his father's dream to unite the tribes. And so he took it upon himself to accomplish what his father failed to do. Firstly he needed to be the chieftain of his tribe. His father is too old and blunt-minded, his reign is over. By the age of 21 Balrog was old enough to challenge his father, challenge him for his role as the tribe chieftain. Balrog won the challenge, killing his father brought him no pleasure at all. But it had to be done, it's Balrog's chance to prove himself now.

Firstly he announced to the other tribes of his new role as the new chieftain. Winning a fair challenge against his father. His winning was predictable seeing that his father was old and to decrepit to fight. After mourning his father and feasting on his triumph, he began to convince the other tribe's chieftains to unite and become one. But all of his efforts were in vain and useless. Balrog didn't accept rejection pretty well. He tried talking, but it was hopeless. Being civil didn't work out, so he turned to his barbaric side. If they won't unite willingly, then forcefully. He gathered his best fighters and warriors and headed out to the nearby tribes, surrender or burn. Of course no orc surrendered obviously. Surrendering meant selling their dignity and honor.

Slowly over time he conquered the nearby tribes and claimed their lands. Killing their elder chiefs. Through his raids from one tribe to another, many joined his cause, fighting along side with him. Soon he had conquered the seven tribes surrounding his. Hence he was known as Balrog The Conquer.

When news reached Balrog of the king's death. He knew it was his best chance to take the previous king seat, and prove to the other tribes he is ready to unite the orcs and role them. It was a quest he had to do alone. His most trustworthy generals claimed his tribes, making sure no rebellion happens till Balrog's return.

ROLE: A chieftain to seven separate tribes surrounding his own.

SKILLS: Very skilled with axes and heavy weapons. Shockingly great with bows. Expert hand-to-hand fighter.

WEAPONS: His trusty two handed axe. A razor sharp orcish dagger. And a fine short bow.

EXTRA: Balrog grew up with his vicious wild Khattosh wolf breed. These kinds of wolves are specially bred for combat and war. They endure a lot and are loyal to a cause. Motawaheish was the beasts name.

The wolf is a bit larger than average wolves. He's fast and Unrelenting. Vicious and deadly. With a grey to black fur, sharp green eyes. His footsteps are steady and firm. Enduring days without food or water.

Name: Azakiel Gawoth.

Age: 28.

Race: Human.

Appearance:

Description: Azakiel has always been a fair man, handsome of face and features, tall, athletic and charming to boot. Many might even consider him to be close to the idea of what a human noble ought to look like. His skin is paler than common, indicating his nobility, having spent less time out in the field and in the sun than common folk. His chestnut brown hair is straight and well tended, reaching down his shoulders in the form of a slight wave.

His eyes have a cunning edge to them, while at the same time being observant and vigilant, trying ever their best not to miss any details. The rest of his facial features are somewhat sharp, with pronounced cheekbones said to be the mark of his family. With rigid discipline, he maintains a clean-shaven appearance, as much else of his appearance always remains well groomed and taken care of even in the most dire of situations.

Clad in some of the finest/fanciest armor money can buy Azakiel is a sight to behold on his equally as fancily outfitted horse. His gilded armor however seems to have left significant room for mobility, considering he prefers lightning fast attacks on the field of battle, utilizing his cavalry where they are strongest. His helmet is decorated with a large plume of red feathers which could almost only be described as pompous, his presence upon the field of battle obvious.

Bio: The Gawoth family has always been a prominent one in Alsinu, bearing its ancestral home in Almasa itself. As such, they have often been advisers and seconds in command to the king himself, the recent High King was no different. There have often been whispers of Gawoth's jealousy towards the land's rulers, discontent with only being the second most powerful individuals in the land. Such whispers are only to be expected from ignorant peasants however, as the idea that it were they who were responsible for the death of he last High King has also been uttered. Rumors with no foundations.

As one of the most principal and oldest families, it's no surprise that the Gawoth family has earned its richest on the backs of many non-human slaves and laborers, as well as having its hand in some of the most important trade monopolies feeding the economy.

Azakiel was born as first and only son to the late Lord Uriel. From a young age, he has always been groomed to be the lord he was meant to be, showing promise for commanding and tactics. However, it son became clear that while the military and diplomatic lessons proved to be of little difficulty for the young lord, economics and trade were above is grasp. Indeed, once he came of age, he already started to spend more money than was proper. Over the years, his loose antics with coin have not improved. Up until today, his family had riches to spare. So far, he has not yet been proven wrong. As promising as he was however, several less desirable personality traits soon developed. Arrogance, vanity, self-righteousness, depravity and disregard for life being only a few of them.

Being so high ranked in politics, it wasn't unsurprising that Azakiel was quickly given a prominent position in the army, commanding men efficiently as he proved to have a talent for such. He has been involved in several minor conflicts along the borders, his methods often however proving to be ruthless and brutal.

Only a few years prior to the High King's demise, Azakiel rose to his position of head of his family, managing to further his interests in court and out in he field. Now, with the seat of the High King open, he feels that this is the right moment for him to step up and claim it for his own. With no true legitimate claim however, there was no telling how much support he needed to pull this off. To this end, Azakiel has left the capital, willing to form alliances with the orcs, elves or even the barbaric humans in order to help him claim the throne in exchange for concessions.

Role: Current head of the Gawoth noble family, commander, adviser, contender for the throne of High King.

Skills: Azakiel is a skilled warrior, years of training with some of the finest tutors in the capital certainly proved their worth. He has been able to apply his skills in battle directly, not simply a backseat commander, he fancies being in the midst of the fighting, enabling him to inspire his troops close by and issue orders directly.

He is no stranger to politics, having stood close to the High King himself, he knows how to manipulate people, form alliances and pacts. His charm can often succeed where his ruthless tactics in the field can not.

Weapons: Lance, spear, shield, sword, (armored horse if that counts).

Name: Ahltaena Bahreseth

Age: 29

Race: Human

Appearance:

Description: Ahltaena stands in sharp contrast to the more civilized humans of Alinsu. Under her cream skin are slabs of lean, whipcord muscle. She dons plates of mail and chain cobbled together, giving her an uncouth, barbaric appearance. Most striking is the hood she wears over her face, hiding her features under crimson cloth and ornaments of bone. She is grim and terse, least of all when fighting. In battle, she hardly utters a grunt; instead she maintains an eerie silence, while making her intentions clear with action.

Bio: Ahltaena comes from a wild race of humans that call themselves the Iyssar. Their territory spans from the edges of Ardumwat to Qahila - uncharted wilderness that is shunned by the people of Alinsu. The Iyssar are split into many independent communities, although they generally acknowledge one another as their own kind and trade between themselves. Ahltaena is the daughter of a chieftain who oversees one of the largest of these communities. As a result, the Bahreseth clan has a heavy hand in Iyssarian affairs.

When they learned that the High King had fallen, the Iyssarian tribes collectively prepared for the balance of power in Rayisa to shift. With Alinsu’s power base reeling from the loss of its monarch, the Iyssar prepared to take advantage of the discord. For the time being, Alinsu’s forces were occupied elsewhere, leaving the Iyssar an opportunity to ride out across Rayisa, sacking isolated settlements and tribes of other races. Alinsu itself would be the ultimate prize, however, the Iyssar knew that they’d have a better chance to face the Alinsunians with cooperation from other factions.

Ahltaena was sent by her father to scour the territories for potential allies in the warring that was certain to erupt. Although by no means friends of the Iyssar, the orc tribes could be counted as valuable candidates, and perhaps the other wildmen of the desert. With a small warband in tow, she rode out to secure the Iyssarian’s victory-to-come and crush those too weak to stand against them.

Role: Warlord, Emissary, Headhunter

Skills: Excellent fighter, Riding, Foraging, Hunting, Battle-leader

Weapons: Though Ahltaena could pick up most arms from the ground and do very well with them, she usually carries a pair of arming swords and a blade with a wicked hook at the tip. She is prone to use whatever is most available at the time, frequently picking up the weapons of the dead or dying when it is convenient to do so.
