Character sheet

Name: Sylvia Floraison

Appearance: Sylvia is tall, slender, and generally dark. Tanned skin seems pale in comparison to her deep black, satin hair, an aesthetic which has been settled upon over centuries of deliberation. Pensive brown eyes sit calmly upon a face of sharp features, with only a freckle here and there to serve the purpose of accentuation. Aside from the aforementioned traits, there is nothing particularly noteworthy about her appearance for her area. By design, Sylvia hangs in the middle of a gradient. To one extent, she is undesirable in a society still dominated by segregated caucasians. To the other, she is too light to be regarded as suspicious, allowing her to function, if not somewhat awkwardly, in European society. Her body type is fair, though nothing to turn heads or be worthy of more than a moment's glance. Sylvia understands that she is here to keep the balance, and that requires hiding, not flaunting.

Personality: Sylvia experiences a bit of duality in her life. On one hand, she is deeply driven by purpose; she feels a powerful compulsion to fulfill her place in the universe as one of the ones to balance the world's fundamental forces elements. As a result, she has learned to value subtlety and, above all, respect. Not only for one's peers, but for the universe as a whole in its delicate glory. Of course, on the other hand, there's the party girl. The side of her which she tries as hard as she can to force into the shadow of the "refined," "sensible," "thinking" version of her. However, as with nearly all sapient life, Sylvia just wants to have fun. So, while she tries to stay calm and mind her own business, now and then she can be found being a bit irresponsible and well... less than inconspicuous.

Abilities

Forceful Nature: The user radiates raw kinetic energy, releasing waves of force which violently vibrate the air/water around them and force anything nearby away from them. Anything which stays in the field or comes closer to the user will begin to experience intense, destructive vibrations. Not available to humans. (Low energy consumption)

Force Wave: Perhaps the simplest ability at force-users' disposal, the user is able to produce an almost solid wave of energy in a direction, either broad and overpowering, or directed and sharp. Available to humans. (Low energy consumption)

Amplify: The user applies force to an object or entity, enhancing any kinetic actions which it takes. This increases its resilience to kinetic energies which are applied to it, and enhances any movement which it makes. This can also be used to simulate telekinesis. If done properly, this technique is capable of vibrating an object. Available to humans. (Low energy consumption)

Immovable Object: The user focuses their attention to a single object or entity, absorbing most all direct energy input and adding it to reserves, functioning as a defensive tactic. Non-kinetic energies are not absorbed, and will still affect the user. If more energy is applied to the user than can be handled, the stored energy will be released and backfire upon the user, sometimes with devastating effects. Weak versions available to advanced humans. (Medium energy consumption)

Unstoppable Force: The user applies their focus to a single object or entity, giving it a sudden increase in speed. Foreign kinetic forces which are applied to the object will be converted into energy in the direction of movement, adding to the speed. Non-kinetic energies will not be absorbed. If the amount of applied energy is too great, the object or entity will experience the destructive force of the applied force, magnified to the extent of the extra applied energy. Not available to humans. (Medium energy consumption)

Graviton Shift: The user upsets the gravity of an area, contorting it to their own will. On a rudimentary level, the user can change the direction of gravity, though with enhanced skill and focus they may change the strength of it as well. Not available to humans. (Variable energy consumption, medium to high)

Pseudomatter: The user creates an organization of kinetic energy such that the application of energy onto anything that touches the field has an equal amount of energy sent back, causing it to act like real matter. allowing for the construction of kinetic walls, tools, and armor. Each construct requires its own bit of focus, however, restricting the amount of potential constructs and their applications. Pseudomatter is seen as being similar to a heat wave in appearance, appearing more and more unstable as the construct becomes more solid. Usable on a small scale by advanced humans. (Variable energy consumption, medium to high)

Mute: The user absorbs nearby vibrations, silencing the area. Usable by advanced humans. (Medium-high energy consumption)

Shatter: The user apples chaotic forces to the environment, causing cracks and folds to form. Destruction ensues. If focused to an entity, a great tearing begins as forces are applied from every direction. Incredibly strong/cosmic entities are able to resist this to an extent, due to their more durable bodies. Requires immense concentration. Not available to humans. (High energy consumption)

Equipment: Sylvia typically carries about herself nothing more than an Italian stiletto and a large walking stick - though it has an odd little secret. The stick, which Sylvia never lets anyone else hold or even touch, was originally an entire tree, having been compressed by tons upon tons of force into the humble form in which it now resides. As a result, it is incredibly dense, making it at once too heavy for any mortal to lift, and stronger than a boulder.

Human Persona: To the non-divine eye, Sylvia is, well, nobody. Every day, she wakes up in the early morning and heads to work in the farm which she lives at. A few hours will pass, spent doing nothing particularly noteworthy, and she will spend the rest of her afternoon disappeared into the local alchemical laboratory. Given that alchemy is a rather archaic belief and practice, few bother to step into the building which many assume to be simply a bunch of madmen attempting to turn stones into gold. This is where many will divide on what they claim Sylvia does with her life. Some will say that she returns home, where she stays with her brother, and spends the rest of the evening in inactivity. Some say that she roams the town, shopping for food, supplies, and interesting bits. Rarely, you'll find the person who remembers seeing her at a formal event, a dance, perhaps, or a wine tasting. Many will simply say that she disappears. There are two notable truths which should be exposed here. First, Sylvia does not have a brother. Rather, she has a favorite disciple who she permits to guard her home and live with her. Second, all of the tales are true. Most any bit of gossip which you'll hear, be it dull or improbably exciting, has a spark of truth to it. Sylvia does, sometimes, return home after a day of harvesting and work at the temple. Other days, she heads into the city to observe and experience the saturation of the culture. On occasion, she will treat herself to something dangerous or irresponsible. And some days, well, some days nobody can tell you where she goes.

Temple Description: Located in the denser section of early Paris, an innocent enough looking laboratory sits on the corner of city block. Inside this, "alchemical and physical studies," lab however, is a collection of the devout followers of the Immortal currently known as Sylvia Marquet. They're a quiet, studious bunch who value progression above all else, believing that it will allow them to become the strongest of the seven groups. Their doctrine? Become greater. Their only purpose, beyond serving their god that is, is to advance themselves as much as they are able, both scientifically and economically. Of course, this must all be done from the shadows, though at times the group has been known to stray from their commands a bit in the name of progress, typically with consequences falling along the lines of witch prosecutions and executions. Local technology is what might be expected for Renaissance Paris, though the disciples have access to slightly more advanced technologies such as experimental microscopes and other scientific equipment.

Name: Kelly O'Connor

Appearance: Kelly is a tall, lithe young woman, looking maybe twenty-five or so, with pale, freckled skin. She has extraordinarily light blonde hair, bordering on white, chopped to just beneath her shoulders, and piercing eyes of that rare golden-hazel tone. Her shoulders are small, surmounting a body as thin as a twig, and about as curvaceous. Her legs are unusually long, which, combined with her godly stamina, makes her into an exceedingly fast runner. Her thin eyebrows are in a state of perpetual up, and she's constantly twitching and tapping her small feet and thin fingers on whatever's available. She usually wears a light dress, coloured white and gold, paired with white leggings and toughened brown leather boots.

Personality: Gottagofastalwaysgofastmustgofast. Kelly is extremely hyperactive and always moving around and twitching, mildly obsessed with moving as quickly as possible. Not surprising, considering she can move at light speed. Just imagine someone who's never had caffeine before chugged an energy drink. She has a quick, nervous laugh, and she's generally just a happy person. She doesn't really have an angry side, for the most part. She thinks of Sai as a sort of brother, and she's always happy to hear from or see him. Other than him, she prefers Fire above any of the other elemental avatars, simply because of how well they synergize.

Powers: (besides the ones we all have):

Powers

Shimmer: Bends light around the user, causing them to become (mostly) invisible. However, it's not perfect. There's a faintly visible outline around them as they move, making it just slightly faulty. While standing still, however, it's an excellent disguise. Usable by humans.
Afterthoughts: A sort of extension of Shimmer, this power replaces the user with an illusion of themselves where they last were when they become invisible, as an added distraction to facilitate escape. Usable by humans, though with some difficulty.
Sun Shield: The user surrounds themselves with an impossibly bright sphere of pure light, intense enough to blind someone if they glance at it for more than a few seconds. The blinding power, combined with the incredible heat such bright light gives off, makes this a technique useful in both attack and defense, especially against any form of darkness. Humans can use it to an extent, but the light is much, much weaker, barely more powerful than a modern-day floodlight, and not even hot enough to burn skin.
Flash: The user fires a powerful laser from their palm, strong enough to sear through stone in mere milliseconds. Again, only barely usable by humans. It takes a human follower about a second to even make wood smoke.
Caliburn: The user creates a huge claymore out of hard light. The edge is impossibly keen, and the point is impossibly sharp. It can cut through almost anything and everything. This one, only Kelly can use, and only for so much time before she has to let it dissipate. It's simply too powerful to hold for long. Instead, her followers can only summon a tiny dagger, the blade only about two inches or so long, which she refers to as Arondight.
Perihelion: Exudes a force of sheer light, making it much more difficult for darkness or, to a lesser extent, cold to work any of their powers. On the other side, it makes fire significantly more powerful. Usable by humans.
Lightbringer: Lightbringer is the most powerful ability that Kelly can normally use. She collects a reservoir of light within her body and unleashes it in an enormous beam of light in front of her. It's at least three feet in diameter and can carve gaping holes through iron walls. She can focus it down to only six or so inches if she so desires, creating a beam that can slice a building in half. This, however, drains her more than anything else. She can barely keep it up for fifteen or sixteen seconds, and if she does, she'll quickly become exhausted and lose much of her power, so much so that she doesn't outclass a human follower by all that much.
Final Illumination: This is a purely hypothetical ability, one which Kelly has never used. To use it, she must kill herself. Building up all of the light in her body, she releases it in a massive wave, rupturing her skin and tearing herself apart. The resulting destructive blast would kill anything in quite a large radius, and would cause temporary but long-lasting blindness for a decent area after the killzone.

Human Persona bio: (What do the humans see you as) Kelly is a crofter's daughter, farming and hunting with the best. Her mother died when she was born, and her father, having no idea how to teach a daughter to be feminine, raised her more as a son. When the other girls were learning to cook, she was learning to hunt. When they were learning to entertain guests, she was learning how to feed the animals. This is essentially the current state of affairs for her. Nothing particular remarkable. Occasionally, though, she disappears for long periods of time. Her father trusts her; she's just off on another of her "hunting trips."

Equipment: (Mostly part of your human persona) Kelly carries very little with her, generally. In lieu of Caliburn, Kelly generally carries a long dagger in her boot. While not special in any way, it's simply a very reliable knife made of steel. On occasion, she'll use a huge claymore, made of normal steel. If she's required to fight, though, she has the virtue of being able to blind someone instantaneously. Therefore, if she's alone with her attacker, she can simply blind them, lay down the law, and escape with nobody the wiser.

Temple Description: (Where is it located, what are your monks/nuns like, what are your priests like, doctrine, description of the temple itself, etc.) Kelly's temple is a nondescript and decrepit ancient monastery in the mountains of the Scottish highlands. It's the perfect location for her, because at the point where it is (near the peak of a mountain, past the treeline), she has a near-uninterrupted view of the sun. Her monks and nuns are essentially typical medieval monks and nuns, except they're clothed entirely in white and gold. There's no real doctrine; the only real tenet for her followers is to, in Kelly's own words, "praise the Sun!" The priests carry around a special badge of office: a tattoo of a rising sun on their forehead, imbued with Kelly's power to glow slightly in dim light.

Local tech: (level and specialties of the people near your temple, even if it isn't a separate country) It's essentially medieval. The Highland way of life hasn't changed in a very, very long time. All sources of light are essentially either the sun, or fire.

Name: Giuliano da Capri
Appearance: Giuliano is a short, portly man appearing to be around forty. His hair is a deep black with an increasingly receding hairline. His face is round and plump, the only angle in it being a pointed goatee adorning his equally pointy chin. His forehead appears to be in a state of constant wrinkle, underlined by bushy eyebrows. His legs are short, one of them missing and replaced with a wooden prosthetic, resembling a soldier's boot. His regular outfit consists of loose, red, silken shirt covered with an light orange vest.
Personality: Giuliano is a man who prefers the dramatic things in life. Flamboyant, outgoing, and incredibly in your face, Giuliano looks for the most in life, spending his time partying, smoking, and drinking. His mind is brilliant, swirling with ideas ready to be pulled out of a moments notice. Not all are good ideas, granted, but they are ideas nonetheless. Considering the other elements, he is pretty friendly with his fellow lesser gods, though he doesn't really like them.
Powers:

Dragon's Breath: A fast-moving jet of flame emitted from the user's mouth. Usable by humans.

Ignition: Allows the combustion of any fuel source. Usable by humans

Flaming Javelin: A fast-moving fire projectile of similar size and shape to a javelin and thrown like one as well. Usable by
humans.

Combustive Charm: Infuses an item, such as a weapon, with potential energy. When the item impacts another object, the
energy is released in a burst of flame. Usable by humans.

Burning Lashes: Creates a pair of bullwhips made entirely of fire. They last for an hour, or until the user chooses to get
rid of them. Usable by only the most advanced humans.

Boiling Agony: The air itself becomes inhospitable, except for the user. The air heats up to temperatures reaching boiling
point, and the ground burns up, releasing showers of embers to make it even more painful for whoever's stuck inside.

Phoenix Finale: Releases dozens of waves of intense flame from the user's body over the course of a few seconds, each hotter
than the last. The hottest temperatures reached are comparable to that of the Earth's core, turning all nearby into gas. Not
yet used, the energy required makes the move suicidal, and thusly must only be used in the most dire of situations.

Human Persona bio: Giuliano's appearance to the masses is that of none but a playwright. All of his plays written were dreadful romantic comedies that, if you asked any critic, were mediocre at best, but appealed to the public in just the right way to make him piles of money. He lives the high life while writing another mediocre play every couple of years to keep the money flowing.

Equipment: Without much need for combat gear, Giuliano rarely carries a weapon. What he does carry with him often are some sheets of paper, a quill and inkwell, and a bottle of wine.

Temple Description: Giuliano's temple is located near Mount Vesuvius. The temple is located near the foot of the volcano. The temple itself is raised up in a way that any lava flows will go around it, and the temple itself has special "eruption rooms" in the basement where his worshipers can go in times of emergency. The temple itself is one of Gothic design. The temple has 17 small spires encircling a larger one, where all the important ceremonies take place. The spires are made up of a darkly colored igneous rock, mined on site. Upon each small spire is a small statue of a dragon, facing inwards with it's wings spread. Each small spire is inhabited by a High Priest and his personal acolytes. These followers not only guard the temple, but also perform sacrifices to Giuliuano, generally involving the burning of some offering. Acolytes must prove that Giuliano believes them to be worthy by diving into a vat of boiling oil. If Giuliano finds them worthy, he will protect from the heat, and they will come out without so much as a blister. If they are not worthy, they boil alive. High Priests can be recognized by the symbol on their forehead. The symbol is that of a large square, surrounded by 17 uniformly sized arrows pointing outwards. This symbol is branded on to them in the Ascension ritual when they become High Priests.

Local tech: The local tech is that of the Italian Renaissance.

I like it, the only thing I think is a bit weird is that your humans can do everything that the Immortal can. Everything is balanced, it just seems like the Immortal should be a bit more elevated than their servants.

@SylverbluThey can do everything I can do (except possession) because Darkness is the element of stealth. If other people can do something, then it doesn't reveal who I am if I use it. That's why my past self taught them how to do some of those things. I am, however, 100 times as powerful as them, so even if I don't have special powers, I should be able to hold my own against another immortal. Stealth is also why I went native, got married, had kids, and worked jobs for my own temple.
