"Here is my schedule for the students this round. You will have to forgive me but my Level 3 students are going through the Exam Testing Rooms. I just hope that they make it out alright......" Lady Violetta sighed as she sat down and slid a copy to Allison and Dar.
"Something new this year. And I don't want to lose these three young ladies. They are the last ones from my first year of teaching."



Thomas was looking at the sky for more students to fall into the academy.

"I know of one sure fire way of bringing any stray students in and that is to start the Orientation Lecture.
Let's go inside and see what happens." Thomas spoke.
"These doors are called The Grand Doors. Like many other items in the castle and the castle itself, The Grand Doors is sentient. Do either of you know what Sentient means?"

Dar looked at the schedule he had been handed, "I know how you feel, Lady Violetta, along with those students. I still remember my exams, nobody warned me how dangerous they were. And no teacher wants to lose their students, but unfortunately, we can't always predict the outcome of any situation." he said, lowering the paper. He looked at the headmistress, "As long as those three are prepared to the best of their abilities, I'm sure they'll be alright, no matter what comes their way." he reassured her with a smile. Dar still remembered the graduating exams, so many talented people died, even those who had been prepared and were expected to surpass expectations died. He had been one of the select few in his class that graduated, though he never forgot about those who had fallen, he kept them close to his heart. Looking over at Aura, he couldn't help but be glad he had her, she was as loyal to him as her father had been, if not more. Clearing his mind, he went back to the paper, "Well, I think this would work out well. I could teach the level one meditation if the teacher there needs some time off now and then." he said, rubbing his chin in thought.

"Allison, would you like to take Level Meditation? Lady Avalon can have Fitness Classes and Mind Control...... Perhaps we should be getting ready to go to the Orientation Lecture. Thomas will bring them to the Lecture Room. " Lady Violetta spoke as she glanced up at her Coocoo Clock.

Allison continued looking at the list of classes while Dar gave his suggestions. After Dar said that he had a bad experience with fire magic, Allison figured he'd ask if she was fine with teaching air and fire, so it didn't come as a surprise when he suggested he teach earth and water while she teaches air and fire. Lady Violetta gave them both a schedule for this year. She looked it over and saw that there were a few classes that weren't decided upon quite yet. At least until the headmistress cleared that up.

"I hope those three make it out alright as well. I remember how hard tests here can be." Meditation at this point was the only one that still needed a teacher. Dar had stated he could teach that one if need be, but then again so can she. "I wouldn't mind taking the level one meditation. That ok with you Dar?"

As Lady Violetta made the changes on her copy, the bird came walking out of the clock and went coocoooo 'Nearly time for meeting. Don't be late.'
"Thank you for remind me, Cookie dear. We shall be leaving shortly. Each of you may take your stack of boxes. I am sure Thomas has the students in the Lecture Room by now. Lady Avalon should be there as well.
Are we ready to go?"

Dar nodded his head at Allison, "It's all yours. If you need a substitute for the class, let me know, I'd be more than happy to cover for you if you need it." he said, offering the woman a smile. Now that things were decided, he stood and stretched, "Yes, I think it would be good to get to Orientation, I think we may actually be running a little behind as well." he agreed. He went over to Aura and placed a hand on her head, "Aura, time to wake up, we're heading out now." he said. Aura slowly opened her eyes and yawned, slowly standing and stretching her body before nuzzling his hand, "You sorted out everything?" she asked. He nodded, "Yes. Now we're on our way to meet our new students, I expect you to behave." he said. The dragon gurgled, "I'm always on my best behaviour! You know that!" she replied. He chuckled, "Yes, but you never know how new students will react to you, your species is still relatively new after all." he reminded her. She pushed her head against his leg a little roughly, "Must you keep reminding me of that as well?" she asked, clearly starting to become irritated. He sighed, "No, I guess not. I'm sorry, Aura." he apologized. The dragon made another gurgle before looking over at the two women, the look in her eyes said she wanted them to hurry up, "They're so slow..." she complained. Dar chuckled, "I think Aura's getting a little impatient. Shall we head to Orientation?" he asked the two.

"yes. I hope that the students won't be overly dramatic when they see a real dragon. Most don't believe in magic let alone mythical creatures which is what your dragon would be classified as. I hope not to offend your dragon but it is the truth. I have a small version of a dragon called a personal dragon."

"Yes, I'm ready to go." Blaze jumped out Allison's arms at this point and started walking down the hall. "It would seem Aura isn't the only impatient one," Allison said laughing a little. "I guess we should get going, and hopefully Blaze won't be up to his usual antics around the new students." She knew how much he liked teleporting around. Most the time it was at random and when you least expect it too.

Mystique laughed as she picked up her belongings.

"Let's go. In this place all creatures must be tagged so that they can be kept out of certain areas. Each door is opened by your aura after this. It will not allow 'pets' go to through without a human with it. The human can vouch for the pet but there are a few areas like labs except for Creatureology Lab, that no pets are allowed in." Mystique took them through the doors and to another set of doors then down to the end of the hall where there were no students.......

Cal looks at the door as they walk. "Yes it means it's able to perceive and feel things....that's...creepy and cool" he sounds like he has pretty much gotten over his initial freak out and is now back to being himself. A question pops into his head. "So if magic is real does that mean fairies and such are real too?" Purely curious.

"I do doubt that at all. There are many things I have yet to learn. Let me show you something." Thomas whistled then waited.
"Be not afraid. This is Nightstalker, my Night Glo, a blue fire night dragon. I hope to be able to place a few eggs into the Pet Store."

A large blue black dragon landed not very far away from Thomas.

Cal looks at Tom before looking at the dragon, a look of wonder on his face. He walks forward a step staring at the dragon;s wings and generally taking it all in. Though, some form of jealousy passes through him...as if...he was missing something from himself. As if he was supposed to have wings, but he didn't. He shakes his head, shaking away the feeling since he didn't think he was right to have it. It was odd though, feeling that wave through him. He smiles at Thomas. "Nightstalker is awesome" He looks back at the dragon.

"Indeed he is. There are plenty more dragons. You can enroll in Draconic Arts and get a dragon egg of your own if you wish to do so." Thomas spoke as he went up to Nightstalker and held out his hand with the palm up. Nightstalker sniffed his hand then lowered his head in submission. Thomas laid his head against Nightstalker's for a minute.
Do you mind if the students come up and touch you, my friend?

Yes, they may.

Thomas turned to the guys and spoke

"Nightstalker said that you may come up to him. He won't eat you this time. Hold out your hand towards him and see if he accepts you." Thomas spoke calmly.

Cal looks absolutely ecstatic as he slowly walks up and holds out his hand. As he does so, he seems to be holding it out more as a non human to a non human instead of human to dragon. Weirdly, he has no idea that he is doing this. He seems to be acting more out of instinct then actual consciousness....which is odd since he had no idea about any of this, especially not dragons. As he does so, small yet vibrant flecks of lavender become visible in his honey colored eyes.

Thomas watch the interaction between Cal and Nightstalker for he sees the changes.

Nightstalker snorted then spoke mind to mind. You have Pixie blood. You may scratch my eye ridges for they are itchy.

Avalon came hurrying into the room.
"Sorry that I am late, Lady Violetta. I was working on my laptop and forgot about time."

"It is ok, Lady Avalon. Please remember to pick up a clock when we go to The Village. We have two new teachers for this level. Please meet Allison Tenile with Blaze and Dar "Aqua" Knight with Aura."

Dar listened to Lady Violetta as she explained about the doors, keeping his eye on Aura, she seemed to be alright with the limitations. Then again, being the female of her species, she was quite independent anyways now that she was five. "I don't think Aura will mind being confined to the room now and then, she's pretty independent already." he replied. Aura gurgled in agreement with him. When Lady Avalon arrived, Aura became startled by the sudden entrance and darted behind Dar, letting out a deep growl and raising her upper lip to reveal her sharp teeth, indicating she felt threatened. He placed a hand on her head and stroked it gently, "Easy, Aura, there's no need to feel threatened." he said. "I suppose not. She just startled me, that's all." she replied, now calming down. Dar looked at Lady Avalon, "Pleased to meet you, Lady Avalon. I apologize for Aura's reaction, she gets like that when she's startled or feels threatened." he said.

Lady Avalon smiled and then spoke
"It is a perfectly normal reaction to a well bonded pet. I am pleased to meet you both. May I give Aura a nibble? If so what is her favorite flavor?"

Dar looked at Aura, "What is a...nibble?" she asked him, tilting her head to the side as she watched the woman. He chuckled, "It's a treat specifically for pets, would you like one?" he asked her. Aura slowly came out from behind him and lowered her head in a submissive fashion, her nostrils expanding as she sniffed ahead of her, "As long as I don't have to do any tricks for it, yes. Go ahead and tell her what I like." she replied, her eyes still on Lady Avalon. Dar looked at her, "She says yes, so long as she doesn't have to do a trick to get it." he said, chuckling a bit, "Aura is actually one of the more unique Aqua Dragons, she is a complete herbivore; she won't touch meat or fish, even though I've encouraged her to. I've found she really enjoys bananas, so if you have any nibbles with that flavor, I know she'd enjoy getting one." he answered.

Cal, in a bit of shock ends up gently scratching the ridges. Hard enough to rid of itchiness, but gentle enough not to hurt. After a good scratching he steps back, then to the side so tom could go up if he wanted. Cal then looks at thomas, shock, fear, among other emotions visible in his eyes. The purple flecks seem to have all but vanished. "...uhm....pixie blood?" He rubs the back of his neck and notices its shaking slightly. "t-that can't be right right?" Nervous smile. "I mean...how could i be" He quiets down and stares back at Thomas, pleading for some sort of help with the new discovery of his bloodline.
