Character Sheet (Template Here)
Name: Should be something European sounding; for example, the Swiss have Italian, German and French as their national languages.

Age: No more than 35, except in special cases, like for a medical doctor or some other specialist.
Gender: The PAF (Principality Armed Forces) allows women to serve in combat roles -- something that annoys some of the more moralistic neighbors.
Physical Description:
Pic or description, cool with either.

Skillset:
Talents one has either naturally or through education or training of some sort. Notably, military skills.

History:
The character's upbringing; who they were born to and how they were raised, their educational level and so forth. Socio-economic status. Birthplace. (See this map and ignore that it's actually a map of a Swiss cantonment -- we'll figure out a map later...or not.)

Psychological Profile:
An idea of how the character thinks and so forth; should be linked to the history.

Equipment:
- We will cover weaponry later (as I get that together.)

Character Sheet
Name: Rudolph Halliger
Rank: PFC
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Physical Description:
A rather short and stocky young man, standing five feet, five inches, and weighing one hundred-seventy two pounds.

Skillset:
-Strength and Endurance: Beginning with a stocky frame that seems almost square in his width to his height, his heavy build was honed by his life raised on a farm, to working in a factory lifting and manipulating heavy blocks of steel and iron. Rudolph can generally be counted on to lift more than his fair share of any weight, without complaint.
-Mountaineering and Camping: Shepherding sheep in the mountains around Luthern, he is used to living making simple shelters and hunting small game as his father taught him. It is one of the things he misses most about working his family's flock, was the quiet time out in the woods.
-Trained Jäger: Many who pushed themselves through the brutal Alpine Warfare training did so with pure desire for the extra pay that would be theirs. Rudolph did it with grim determination and a grin on his face, challenging every fibre of his being to push harder. It wasn't for glory, but for the humble desire to know if he could do it, and if he could then he should do it.
-Mechanical intuitive aptitude: While technically uneducated, Rudolph displays an impressive ability to understand how mechanical objects work, especially if he can take it apart to inspect the interactions of the individual pieces to understand the whole. If he can see how it is supposed to work, he can generally get it working, unless something is broken beyond the point of repair and must be replaced. If he has the facilities, he can replicate parts as well.

History:
Born in Grien, a small hamlet south of Luthern, to Wolf and Mihaly Halliger, a couple who tended a small sheep farm in the mountains. Rudolph was the second oldest of six children, his oldest sister, Maria, however contracted Polio and was born with a severely deformed right leg. Rudolph, as the eldest, able-bodied child, stepped into the role, helping his mother and father as he grew, helping to teach his younger siblings chores as they aged, and helping to take care of his sister. His duties to his family kept him out of school, though he learned to read and write from his younger brother Hirsch.

At the of twelve, he encountered something that would forever change his life, the Bauer's, the farmers whom Wolf (and most other farmers of Grien) bought winter feed from, had saved enough to get a tractor for around the farm. At his first sight of the raucously loud machine, Rudolph was entranced. He began spending time with Angelo Baurer, the head of the Baurer farm as they together figured out how to fix the machine when it was broken, and how to maintain it. Quickly the inquisitive mind of Rudolph overtook the elder's, and when the Baurer's bought the first automobile in Grien, he became their mechanic for it as well. At the end of his fourteenth year during the winter, Rudolph headed to Luthern, to the dealership of the Brozin tractors where he studied under the mechanics to learn more of the machines. By the time his sixteenth birthday came, he had built his family a cycle-car, a four wheeled vehicle with a wood frame, running a engine from a wrecked motorcycle he found in the Luthern junkyard.

Over the next two years, he spent much of his winters in Luthern, helping the mechanics around the shop, fixing things and learning more about the tractors, even solving problems. At the end of his second winter apprenticeship, he was greeted by Adolf Brozin, the owner of the company, with an offer: to work in the factory, making parts for the tractors, and the opportunity to rise from there. While Mihaly knew it was a chance of a lifetime, and would allow her son wealthy future, Wolf saw it differently. He wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. To take over the family farm in a few years, maybe marry Sofia Baurer, and raise their family on this land. The argument was bitter, and Rudolph left to chase his brighter future.

At the factory, he marveled at the machines that were used to make the parts and components, learning their names, their functions, and quickly how they functioned. Starting out as a shuttler, moving parts and raw pieces between sections of the factory, he saw and quickly learned the different positions, what they did and how they worked. He rapidly rose to machinist, cleaning engine block castings of flash before he mustered out for the militia.

In his basic training, Rudolph excelled, strong and fit from his life of farm work to machinist, able to endure the alpine conditions from his years of driving sheep through the rocky crags as a child. In anything physical, he was near the top of year's conscripts. As a rifleman however, he was slightly below average, but exceeding the requirements sufficiently. When put behind an M1904, he proved to be quite competent, and for the next several years through reserve training, was trained as a machine gunner. His commanders noted his raw strength in his ability to rapidly shift his gun emplacement for short distances when tactical flexibility demanded it.

Returning to the factory, the management assigned him as an assistant to one of their lead engineers, who was working on a new project, a diesel engine that would be used, hopefully in the company's first automobile. In 1935 however, Brozin Tractor answered a request by the government for prototype armored car, due to the increasing tensions with neighboring countries.

When the call for volunteer reservists came, Rudolph answered. When he returned to training, he answered another call for volunteers, for men and women interested in learning a new weapon system, the Gewehr M1939 Anti-Tank rifle. A monstrous rifle chambered for 20x105mm cartridges. While he may have be only a passable rifleman, and a competent machinegunner, it seemed he had found his place behind the heavy controls of the "Elephant Gun", attaining good accuracy with the violent rifle.

Psychological Profile:
Rudolph is a stoic man, having grown up on a farm, and since nearly the day he could walk, he's supported his family and those around him with his strength and tenacity, frequently at the sacrifice of his own desires. However, after fighting for his own desire once, left him with a rift in his family, to whom he has yet to return to. He is friendly enough, but prefers to listen than to talk. To those he becomes close to, he is a stalwart friend. To those who cross him, he restrains himself from fighting unless necessary. To protect a friend however, he has few compunctions over where his actions may lead.

He is intelligent, and quick thinking, but low on education. In the field, he struggles to understand the big picture of the battlefield, to take in cause and effect chain of action and reaction on the large, or grand scale. On the small scale, he can focus, and understand how to effect changes.

Equipment:
-Gewehr G34: Personally owned. Well kept, initials engraved on the underside of the tang. Can't be seen unless the action is removed from the stock.
-Gewehr M1939: Fresh out of the factory, and freshly trained with it. Weighs a stout hundred pounds, and is usually supplied with a pair of magazines.
-Jäger Uniform: As standard, except for a heavy woolen scarf his mother sent him, dyed a dark, earthy brown.

Name: Heinrich Strauss
Rank: PFC
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Physical Description:
6'2" 200 lbs

Skillset:
Heinrich has an eye for explosives; he is very knowledgeable about their use and implements, what compounds are better for different jobs. Coupling this with the degree in mathematics he obtained he is capable of quickly solving demo calculations in his head, giving the appearance of wild lucky guess work to those who don’t know better. He is also quite a brawler, and good with heavy machinery.

History:
Born in Escholzmatt to his single father, for his mother died delivering him, Heinrich grew up somewhat rough. Escholzmatt is a mining town, and from a fairly young age, only 13, Heinrich worked the mines with his father to help with increasing ore demand. While this was going on, he still attended school, though his grades suffered, however, the only class he still did well in was mathematics. The added income from both he and his father working did help with money around the house and they lived comfortably, muck more so that other miners who had to support their families, and for this they were envied by their neighbors. While it never proved too much of a problem, they were often left out, not openly shunned, just not kept in the loop. This would all seem small in comparison to Heinrich’s 18th birthday, the day he would join the conscript forces, go off and go to college. The day was wonderful, but dark, for the first time, he and his father would be truly alone, separated from one another, the only friend they each had. And so with a heavy heart and tearful eyes, Heinrich said goodbye to his father. But it would only be for 2 years, and so Heinrich had hope to see him again after conscription. Where his academia had suffered for his work, his physical heath had not. 5 years of working the mines had made him strong, tough, able, and training was significantly easier for Heinrich than for others, his marksmanship scores were average, something that the others mocked him for, those that had come out of the more rural hunting communities, who had grown up behind the gun. But it was no laughing matter to face Heinrich hand to hand, where the other had marksmanship, Heinrich had brawn and skill in a brawl, for there was more than one time he and his father had gotten into a bar fight. After completing training, His instructors had noticed his competence for close combat, and aptitude for demolitions, and sent him to engineering courses for further training. Here Heinrich refine the knowledge he obtained in the mines of blasting and extracting, learned of emplacing obstacles, building fortifications, mine warfare, and a slew of other engineering tasks. During his Engineer training, he attended college, majoring in mathematics, his only academic subject worth mentioning, and obtained a degree. It all seemed Heinrich was getting set for a bright future, but then work came, his father had died, cave in in the mine, and Heinrich was all alone. He hadn’t any real friends, only acquaintances, no family to speak of, and his conscription was just about up. So Heinrich went back home, buried his father, and was granted early release, he was brought into the 3rd Jäger Battalion as a resevest and went back to work in the mine. But now war looms over Augstbert, and the reservists are being drawn up for her defense.

Psychological Profile:
Heinrich is very methodical; there is no problem that can’t be solved with the proper application of force. However he is quick to anger and his fists are capable of a fair bit of force.

Equipment:
- Gewehr m1891/14 - G91/14 ( Schmidt-Rubin 1896/11) - The younger characters probably were issued the G34 when they were serving in the ranks, but there are older marks as well, such as the G91/14 (which is an even older design rechambered to a modern cartridge when the Principality switched calibers to something modern). It is a much longer weapon, not nearly as handy as the G34, and the G34 has a much more compact action; the sight radius is about the same, though the barrel is considerably longer.
- 5 POMZ antipersonnel tripwire mines.
- Basic demo kit w/ crimpers, 10 Electric blasting caps, 50ft of black powder time fuse, Handheld piezoelectric detonator, 400ft insulated wire
- 5 MON 50 DFC mines
- 3 PT Mi-P Anti-tank shaped charge mines
- 20 pounds of composition C moldable explosive
- 3 canisters of M4 fuel thickening compound
- KS 98 saw-back bayonet

Character Sheet
Name:Hasso Aldo
Rank: Gefreiter (Private)
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Description:

Skillset:
- Cross Country skiing -- he got the silver medal in the World Games, though he considers that a bit of a personal failure. He is also an avid downhill ski'er and ski-jumper. He is, as a result, in superb physical form. Hasso is a bit of a pretty boy that takes care of himself. His sport requires incredible endurance, which he has.
- Experienced mountaineer and camper. He enjoys the physical challenge of getting out in the wilderness; doing so was one of the reasons he volunteered for the Jägers.
- Trained Jäger - That means he survived the PAF's grueling Alpine Warfare training in order to earn the green jacket. It's just that he also doesn't take himself too seriously. He knows the work, though, and his scores on the firing range prove it.
- Enjoys motorcycles and fast cars -- he can drive.
- University Education: Granted, Hasso did was not as enthusiastic about his studies as he was about the girls, but he managed to pass.

History:
Born to a minor aristocratic family that was given stewardship over the town of Nieder-Wohlen, the Principality had long since dispensed with the nobility as a power through a series of 17th-19th century reforms that left the aristocratic class largely disempowered under the pretext of centralizing authority to better defend against the neighbors, notably the newly unified empire of Holtland, the kingdom/then Republic of Alverre, and the Vaydan Empire/United People's Republic of Vayda.

Hasso's family was not the richest, but they were prosperous enough with land and some wealth that was wisely invested by Hasso's father, Hans Aldo, Graf von Nieder-Wohlen. Hasso was not as serious as his father, who experienced enough tough times growing up to and became financially prudent/a good businessman, and was the typical prodigal son -- intelligent, but rebellious. He did not apply himself, except in skiing and other athletic pursuits. He passed through Gymnasium, but not well enough to earn a scholarship, and then went into his mandatory PAF service.

His father hoped that service in the Jägers might turn his son into a man the old fashioned way, but was a bit chagrinned that his son came out of the service fundamentally unchanged, and in fact had a few disciplinary marks against him. In the Universitat Luzern, he quickly was found out as a superb skier and was recruited into the Principality's cross-country team; he brought home the silver, but found himself a bit unhappy with the showing -- he sweated blood into that competition and vowed to do better. In the meantime, he took a job selling motorcars to the rich, something that made his father, currently a minister in the Principality Assembly, vaguely annoyed.

Better had to wait, however, because he got called up when the Holtish invaded the Alverais and the Vaydan started to rumble on their side of the Holtish border, fearing an even more powerful and land-hungry Holtland. Augstberg is between them.

Psychological Profile:
Hasso is often taken for a dilettante in many things, a rich boy that idles. It'd be more accurate to say that he has authority issues stemming from his relationship with his father. This has come out a couple times during his Jäger service. He was AWOL a couple times, and thus remains a gefreiter; he's never been considered for any sort of promotion. He does have a sarcastic mouth and an eye-lofted skepticism for authority, particularly people that take themselves too seriously. He isn't lazy -- his World Games medal proves that -- but he doesn't respond well to certain sorts of authority. He is not a man that follows blindly and unquestioningly, nor does he tolerate people that expect him to be that way very well.

Equipment:
- G34 rifle. Like most Bergen, his is well kept with the regular application of waffenfett (weapon grease) for long term storage, though he qualifies with it yearly since going into reserve service. He upgraded to a cleaning kit designed for serious hunters, a popular aftermarket accessory for almost anyone that's ever served in the infantry. He has also added a soft leather cheekpiece to the stock, which some regular army types frown upon though it is usually tolerated.
- Jäger uniform, though his gloves, boots, underwear and so forth are not issue, but bought on his own money. His undershirt is red and white checked flannel, and very comfortable. Notably, he has a wool mask with holes for the eyes, a slit for the nose and one for the mouth. It's the sort of thing skiers and others exposed to the elements and in danger of frostbite use to ward off the wind.
- Web gear, backpacks, kit, etc, etc. His pack, definitely, is not the standard issue -- the militia does not generally care too much so long as it is a standard-issue color.

As seen in the photo she is a muscular woman but not to the point of being mistaken for a male this coming from her still curvaceous form he breasts aren't very large which makes her pretty happy as they would be a hinderance to her otherwise. She has short black hair up above her ears she's kept it short her entire life even before the military.

Skillset:
Fist fighting,LMG gunner and Heavy machine gunner.
Swimming-Even in the cold waters and environment of the region Balalika became a highly skilled swimmer able to hold her breath for minutes at a time.

History:Balalika was born in Zell into a family with her mother father and older brother who had a physical handicap which prevented him from doing much of a 'mans work' this landed the responsibility upon Balalika and her father from a young age she assisted her father in everything from building to hunting.Another responsibility fell upon Balalika as her brother was often picked on for his disability, she took it upon herself to defend him.For this and her appearance (which was leaning more towards a Tom-boy then girly like the other girls in the town.) She was ridiculed highly by most members of the small town because of these things, whom were more old fashioned like the neighboring nations. The populace of the town primarily being immigrants and decedents of immigrants.Balalika went to a Gymnasium but she didn't take it very seriously as she had many more responsibilities at home to deal with. While she didn't take it seriously both her teachers and parents picked up quickly on her talent at literature and story writing,as she would write stories on fantasy as well as her life in a sort of journal of sorts. Her ability to describe and accurately recount happenings while making them interesting made her stories that much better.Due to her up bringing hunting and doing labor that would have been occupied by her brother had he not been handicapped she has a highly toned muscular build and has high levels of endurance and stamina, she is also an excellent shooter. She's a natural at fighting with out weapons as she grew up fighting against near damn anyone who crossed her or her brother,(which was nearly everyone in town.)and can take a punch with it phasing her little. When she was nearing the end of her education her father and brother both fell horribly ill and died unable to afford the medical attention they required herself and mother moved into her mothers parents home. She joined the reserves highly against her mothers and her grandparents wishes who thought a battle field was no place for a woman,Balalika joined the 3rd battalion reserves and is being drawn up to do her duty to defend her country as she has always wanted to do.

Psychological Profile:
Balalika is a strong willed woman who is highly opinionated and seeks to constantly improve herself physically and mentally. She has become tolerant to sexism towards herself but can't stand when it's talked about. She has a will made of iron and easily controls her emotions having trained herself as well as gaining military training,on with standing interrogations.Balalika has a fierce sense of protectiveness and loyalty to those that earn her respect.

- Side arm- Alternate Sidearm: Pistole m1883/13-These are old school and more common in the ranks -- they were sold off after production of the R03 started, though they seem to keep cropping up in the ranks. They also have a reputation for stopping power, owing to a .455 caliber round.

- 20inch combat knife
- Rain gear
- Extra Ammo storage
- Jäger Uniform, boots are her own under her uniform she wears a dark green tank top type shirt
May add more depending on what's added in terms of equipment.

Name: Manfred "Manny" Krebs
Rank: Korporal (Kpl)
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Physical Description: Manny stands 5' 11" tall and weighs 180 Lbs. He has short brown hair and blue eyes. Manny has a scar from a flesh wound on his left shoulder and on his back from a puncture wound. The scar on his back was a result of a dog attack as a teenager and the shoulder scar was from a bullet that grazed his flesh.

Skillset:
- Survival: Manny has both formal training and experience in survival in warm climes as well as winter/cold weather survival techniques. This is with both shelter constructions and finding food viable for consumption. As a side benefit of survival skill, Manfred is adept at using a lensatic compass and reading a topographic map.

- Mountaineering: Since Manfred grew up in the mountains, he has a natural inclination for ascending and descending elevations. He also has formal training and experience in knot tying and the use of ropes climbing and rapid descent. The training also instructed him on how to move heavy loads up and down mountainous terrain.

- Cross Country skiing: One of the many benefits of living in the mountains is the necessity to learning to ski cross-country. Often times in the winter it was the only way to move about.

- Pugilist/hand to hand combat: Manfred is a scrapper. He enjoys fist fighting. He often would wrestle with his brothers trying out various techniques for taking down someone and practicing them. He has some training in a hand-to-hand combat technique known as Savate, which translates as 'Old Boot'. The principals of Savate are that you never give your attacker the opportunity to fight back. It is a relentless assault intended to overwhelm your opponent's senses. The technique uses a variety of kicks and punches. Trained kicks include fouetté (a roundhouse kick making contact with the top of foot or shoelaces), practiced high (figure), medium (médian) or low (bas); the chassé (side ("chassé lateral") or front ("chassé frontal") piston-action kick, high (figure), medium (médian) or low (bas); revers ,frontal or lateral ("reverse" or hooking kick) making contact with the sole of the shoe, high (figure), medium (médian), or low (bas); and coup de pied bas ("low kick", a front or sweep kick to the shin making contact with the inner edge of the shoe, performed with a characteristic backwards lean) low only. Savate punches include direct bras avant (jab, lead hand); direct bras arrière (cross, rear hand); crochet (hook, bent arm with either hand) and uppercut (either hand). Manfred has mastered various take down techniques using counter joint methods in order to "Persuade" a combatant to do what you want him to do.

- Brewer: Manfred has experience brewing beer from his father's farm.

History:
Manfred Krebs grew up on a farm at the foot of the Grünwald just south of Schwarzenberg, about four kilometers south of Malters. Manfred's father, Jakob raised sheep and grew corn, wheat and barley. As a hobby, Jakob Krebs brewed his own alcoholic malted beverage. His four sons learned this craft as well.

Manfred has three brothers; Lukas, 31; Tomas, 29 and Caleb, 28. The four Krebs brothers did everything together and relied on each other for support. They are all very close. Lukas Krebs is currently running their father's farm. Tomas is serving as a Polizei in Luzern and Caleb also works the farm with his brothers, Lukas and Manfred.

Manny is happy with his lot in life and appreciates being with his family. He spent his two years as a conscript with the 1st Jäger Battalion. After ending his time on active conscripted service, he returned to work the farm with his brothers and joined the 3rd Battalion, Jägers. After seven years with the 3rd Battalion, Manfred was promoted to Korporal and assigned as a squad leader. He enjoys working with the 'boys' in his Kompanie and finds their drills to be satisfying. He also takes them to the local beerhall when the drills have ended. The word, 'boys' refers to the young women in the squad as well.

Manny attended the local Hauptschule im Malters knowing he would be working the farm with his brothers. School was just one of those necessities one tolerates in order to get on with life. A necessary evil endured for the sake of others. He rated average scores even though he understood all of his subjects. He just didn't feel they were important.

Psychological Profile:
Manfred is a positive, good-natured man who enjoys the company of others. He prefers to be with groups of friends than to be alone. Solitary confinement would be a terrible condition to endure. He loves his family, friends and comrades with passion. He is not one to hold his tongue and is often found speaking his mind. Due to the nature of combat, he knows not to question his superiors in front of subordinates, but will do so if he feels the need and when the time is appropriate. Complaining up the chain of command in a military hierarchy is best for the good of the organization. Manfred believes it is necessary to never complain in front of subordinates and would never ask his men to do something he himself would never do.

Equipment:
Maschinenpistole m1937- MP37 /w five 50-round box magazines
bayonet
combat helmet
Load Bearing Equipment - LBE (canteen, ammunition pouches, first aid kit and rear butt pouch)

Name: Hans Dietrich Amsel
Rank: Private
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Physical Description:

Skillset:
  • Woodcrafter: Give Hans a piece of wood and a knife and he will make you a beautiful statue.

  • Marksman: Hans is skilled with his Gewehr, more so than the average soldier, though not enough to qualify for sniper.

  • Jäger: Hans is part of of a Jäger unit and so is trained for alpine warfare. With legs honed to steep slopes and hands calloused by gripping sharp rock, he is a Bergen mountain trooper through and through.

History:

Hans Dietrich Amsel was born in the quaint little town of Escholzmatt to a craftsman and a clothier on January 1920 as the youngest of four siblings, the eldest two being sisters. His father, Adolf Dietrich, owned a small workshop employing nine people who made furniture from wood. Likewise, his mother, Irina Vladiminora, had to her name an equally humble clothing business right across the street. As such, his living standards were higher than some.

He spent his childhood enjoying interwar peace, and he did moderately well with regards to academics. Like any other boy, his mornings would start with the voice of his mother waking him and his protesting siblings. The smell of father’s coffee, once he had fought off sleep, would then fill his nostrils as he raced down the stairs with Alexander Dietrich, his brother; with his mother and sisters, Leonora and Sophia, admonishing them both and telling them to be careful. Breakfast would be waffles, light meats, milk and fruits, and then he would take a shower so he could dress up for school. Unless, of course, it was the weekend or a holiday, in which case, he would go outside and play.

He was living a comfortable life, definitely. The only significant negative financial bump in his young life was when his father made a failed business venture, which the family took well and quickly recovered from with his mother’s successful business. He and his brother began to take active roles in their father’s workshop as they became fine adolescents; their sisters to their mother’s. Highschool came with relatively low levels of rebellion and more than a few cases of coming home drunk or being discovered with a girl in some dark place, but family ties were mainly strong.

He was, like every other young man at age 17, called up for military service, having completed his highschool education. Sent to a camp where he was drilled endlessly along with others, he was eventually given the unprestigious rank of Private and his very own rifle in the 3rd Jäger Battalion: a unit which, unfortunately, Alexander wasn’t assigned to. Two years of active duty went by relatively unremarkably, and he tucked his m1934 in the darkness of his closet in the middle of 1939 to aid his aging father with the workshop, meanwhile his brother, his elder by one year, went on to university, studying medicine and aiming to, someday, become a doctor.

Civilian life, uneventful though pleasant, lasted for only months for Hans as tensions with neighbors prompted the Principality to mobilize, picking out the Amsel brothers by lottery. Hopeful that war wouldn’t come to his homeland, he donned the uniform once more, kissed his parents and sisters goodbye, and walked to the bus station with dread.

Psychological Profile:

Hans has no outstanding features personality-wise. Like any other young man, he likes women, drink and good, hearty companionship. He is unambitious, content with helping with and eventually taking over father’s business when the time comes while his brother carries the heavy burden of being the family’s child star and hope for a better future -- a future postponed, with the calling of reserves, which Alexander is part of. This worries him.

Another thing that gnaws at his heart is war looming on the horizon. Oh, he would fight like any other brave Bergen man in service, but he desired for it not to come. He understands that if fighting broke out, the homeland would be far, far different than what it is right now.

Being the youngest of four siblings, he is an inborn follower and is not fit to be in a position of command.

Equipment:

  • Gewehr m1934; starting with 9 5-round clips

  • m1918 Bayonet

  • Standard Jäger kit of rations, poncho, etc.

  • Small notebook and two pencils

  • Carving knife

Name: Elisa Adler
Rank: Doctor-- Leutnant in the Battalion Aid Station/ Medical Platoon Leader
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Physical Description: Elisa is a 24 year old female of lean build. She doesn't participate in as many training as combat soldiers, so she isn't muscular or particularly athletic- but does have a fit body, as required. Unlike many of her nationality, she wasn't blessed with the beautiful, Swiss blonde hair and blue eyes. Her hair is a dirty, nearly brown blonde and her eyes are a boring grey. The below picture is of the day she was accepted into the corps, and as she doesn't curl her hair (or wear make up) when in duty, it is a tad longer and usually kept in a bun or ponytail.

Skillset: An army medic with field surgery training, Elisa is good at what she does- able to work quickly and efficiently, and calmly under pressure. She struggles with 'letting go' those that are a lost case, like anyone in her profession. She has gone through basic combat training, but nothing extensive, and hasn't ever engaged in battle where she wasn't just providing medical care. From spending childhood summers at a country Grandmother's, she feels comfortable with traveling through and taking advantage of woodsy and field terrain/biology. She can also speak Italian, German, French, English, and Russian.
History: Elisa was born to journalist Laura Bauer, and professor Colin Adler on March 14th, their third wedding anniversary. Handicapped in terms of fertility, it took her parents many attempts and medical help to conceive Elisa, their only child. Growing up in the smallish town of Eggiwil(West and slightly South of Luzern), she was often bored and lonely as a girl, with only studies to keep her busy and entertained. Summers she was able to escape to her grandparent's farm outside of Luthern, which was only exciting in the lengthy train ride to get there- for there wasn't ever much to do on a farm except work or walks through the terrain. Still, she always enjoyed herself and loved going back to see her extended family.

As a professor and journalist, Colin and Laura decided to home school her in hopes of giving her a better education. Colin taught her science and math, with a strong emphasis on the physics he taught to his own students, and Laura focused on foreign language and literature. By constantly schooling their very bored daughter from an extremely early age, Colin and Laura were able to push Elisa through primary and secondary school at an extremely fast pace, gaining her completion of schooling at the age of 15.

At 16, thanks in part to her father's connections in the educational world, Elisa was able to enroll and study medicine in Luzern, graduating 7 years later. Shortly after proudly accepting her diploma, she enrolled and was drafted in the Swiss corps as a medic. Her parents, while extremely proud and supportive, are fearful of their only child's choice- they couldn't bear to lose the center and purpose of their world. They exchange letters with Elisa continuously, her mother's correspondence serving as mental and emotional support, and her father's a constant source of more study and education.

Through out her life, Elisa had friends mostly in those many years older than her, such as her parents and the tutors they brought in to teach her. She learned much from them, but never really experienced the "fun" side of adolescence, especially in her teenage years where she was surrounded by 20-something year old medical students. She sees the corps as a way to meet new people and make something significant of herself in the world, to not just be another smart girl from a wealthy family, supported by her parent's successes. Not to mention that few hospitals or clinics are willing to hire a fresh grad, only 24 years old. Even when she waves the proof in their face, they still ask if she is there to study or do her residency.

Psychological Profile:
Not shy, but generally rather quiet. Confident in her skills and methods, and always searching out for more knowledge. She can seem kind of dry and humorless sometimes, but only at first. Strongly bonded to her family, the decision to leave them for the corps was a difficult one that she doesn't intend to not matter in the future. She strives to rise in her field and rank.

Equipment:

-Bandages and tapes
-Surgical tools such as forceps, scissors, scalpels, ties

-Dog tags, minimal office supplies, small medical pocket books
