Thanks. Do you have a precise date for the crossing of the Suez Canal, because that's somewhat of a watershed moment?

You should be able to figure it out if 5 pages = month still. And each page is twenty posts.

'K, great. Also, something crossed my mind: what's the current epitome of urban modernism? I think we already had a discussion on this issue in the previous thread, but what with the Great War and american isolationism, are cities all glass and steel or rather Haussmanian, like Paris or Vienna? It's not that relevant to what I'm planning on posting, but I'd just like to know before wrapping it up.

I would imagine most cities in Europe still motly follow the sort of Haussmann style architecture you see in most of Europe or in Washington, DC. But some downtown districts in a handful Spanish cities have modern skyscrapers along the lines of what you'd see in large American cities in the 1960s - particularly in the Distrito Manzanares of Madrid I've mentioned a handful of times. I know Aaron has also mentioned more concrete n' steel in his larger cities on several occasions. I recall also that Vilage has mentioned that there are also some towers in downtown Addis Ababa.

As well, Sisi's Necropolis has been compared in size to fitting all the towers in Madrid.

Sisi's necropolis?

So basically skyscrapers are still up-and-coming, but not quite dominant. I'll probably have a debate in Persia over differing vision of urban development, it could be interesting.

Is Ethiopia planning on unleashing an army of zombie Arabs on the world? It's even better than tank catapults.
