Sammy got up once she heard the bell rang and got her stuff put away and she followed Andre out of the next classroom. When she heard his beware warnings she just looked at him with a blank look on her face. "He sounds just like my grandfather he always does that." She said as they walked into the Biology class with Andre but she was more worried that the class will just be boring again. "Man why is it school is so boring I mean I feel like I already know half of the stuff they are teaching I have been to summer school so many times to help keep me ahead." SHe siad as she found a seat and sat down before stretching. "I rather be riding my skateboard or playing video games right now." She explained as she relaxed into her seat just wanting the school day to be over with already so she can just bolt out the door.

"School is a necessary evil," said Andre. "But it can be more evil than necessary." He took his seat as the others filed in after grabbing a textbook from the shelf
"Alright," said Tim. "Most of you know me from last year, but for you newbies, I am Mr. Hayenga. But you can call me Tim." He went over the rules: no talking or texting in class, no swearing; phones could be used for music only. "Now, the assignment is chapter one, section one. Read it, and get the assignment on my desk. Also, questions one through three on page 15."

Sam only let out a huge yawn as the teacher walked in and she heard his name and tilted her head. "Mr. Hayenga I thought he said his name was Mr. Hyena for a second." She said as she got a textbook. She was actually trying to be funny just because how boring the teacher had just made the class by doing assignments while he probably just sat around reading a book. Sam opened it to the section and just started to do the assignment for she knew it already and then finished answering the questions. Once done she took the paper up to his desk and placed it down before walking back knowing everyone was staring at her again and whispering about how weird she dressed or why her hair was dyed part green But that was stuff Sammy learned to get used to. She made it back to her seat and but her earphones in and started to listen to music off her iPhone before plaing her face on the desk and closed her eyes falling asleep.

The phone rang. After Tim finished talking, he stood, and left. Immediately, everyone began talking or using their phones. Except for Andre. His phone was set to Pandora, one of the oldies stations. "While the movie never ends, it goes on, and on, and on, and on..."
"So who's the new guy?" asked a prissy girl.
"I think that's a girl," her friend laughed.

Sammy watched the teacher leave and at how fast the students started talking and messing with their phone. It was normal though students can't seem to go a day without their precious phones. as she sat at her desk she did hear the two girls talk about her asking if she was the new boy but saying she was a girl. When they laughed at her she sat up took her ear phones out and looked at them.
"So it is funny that I don't have make-up caked on my face like you two do, but at least I won't have to worry about getting acme from that makeup, that I also wear baggy jeans, old sneakers, my hair is short and dyed partly green." Sammy said as she glared at the two. "At least I am not afraid to be myself instead of a prissy little spoil princess that has to make fun of others to make herself feel better." Sammy said with harsh words for she was to used to it and never really cared how she acted towards people that made fun of her.

A collective "Oooooh" swept through the classroom. Andre took his headphones off, watching carefully. The girl snorted in disgust.
"I don't need to do that to make me feel better," she said. "I just think you should know you're place, newbie."
"Ladies!" Andre said a little louder than necessary. "If you two are gonna have it out, grab a couple of bikinis and let me fill a kiddie pool with mud." There was a chuckle from the class. The girl approached and backhanded him; Andre did nothing.
"Pervert," she hissed, and went back to her seat. Andre cracked a rare smile.
"Worth it," he muttered.

"Know my place huh that is a pretty bold statement coming from you who should know thier place." Sammy said as she got up and placed her hand on her hip, she may look like on the tiny side but she was actually very strong. And everyone could hear it as she slammed her and on the girls deask. "Because a girl who would know there place would shut thier trap and leave me alone for listen carefull I do not care how I look and I don't listen to people who says I should act like a girl just so I can be sterotyped with them." Sammy said with a death glare in her eyes at the girl as she moved away from the desk.
After though she saw the girl backhanded Andre she grabbed the girl by the wirst and that is how she felt how strong Sammy was for she could have broke her wrist. "Her spoiled princess he was just lightening the mood between up but all you can thing of is a pervert who knows maybe he is being nice that mud bath and fix the huge zit on your nose and also." She said as she tighten her grip. "Don't go slapping my friends it gets me really mad." She siad as she let go of the girl and knew she left a bruise behind.

The girl stepped back, rubbing her injured arm. Tim came back in, laughing at a joke another teacher had told him. He quickly sat down and began searching for a video for the students to watch. Andre finished his paper and glanced at Sammy. Did she just call me... her friend? he asked himself mentally. Well... not bad for a lame joke and showing someone around.

Sammy was sitting at her seat with her earphones in again listening to her music not really paying attention to the movie and nor did she care about the movie at all. She then placed her head on the desk and closed her eyes falling asleep in class not caring much about the class anymore. What a boring class and what a spoiled brat that girl is no one tells me what to do and no one tells me that I should know my place for I know who I am and what I am so I don't care. She thought as she slept through the class not caring what the teacher will say to her for sleeping.

The nature documentary came on, but Andre payed little attention. Like a kid he was thinking, I have a friend!
Class came to an end, and Andre led the way to the next class: independent history with Mr. Dianclem. He was an older man, with a bald head and gray hair in a semicircle around his head. "It's an easy class," said Andre. "Pretty much you just get a packet and book, and then you get to work."

Sammy followed Andre as she let out a big yawn for she was just tired still. She listened to Andre about the teacher and shrugged. "Just means I can sleep through the class and thankfully after this class it is lunch time because I am starving I feel like I can eat a horse." She said as she went to an empty desk and sat down in it and stretched a little for she was already bored of the school. "So Andre are all the girls here spoiled brats or something just like that other girl that backslapped you." She asked as she waited for the class to start.

"Not all of them," Andre assured. "But in this school, everyone's in a clique. It's annoying as hell when you're like me, nobody will take you. Sabrina only slapped me. I'm sure she would have liked to shank me. But that might just be me being paranoid." He paused. "You called me your friend back there..."

Sammy only shrugged a little as she stretched a little. "She still had no right to slap you though that was stupid of her." She said as she relaxed in the desk and soon erked when he said that shecalled him her friend and she looked away while blushing a little. "Well yeah I mean you are nice, we like the same music, and are personalities seem the same so I see you as a friend." She said not wanting him to see how red her face has gotten for it was very embarressing to her. But she did like Andre and thought he was a great guy to be friends with so that was why she called him her friend when she hurt Sabrina for slapping him.

"Well, I suppose we both need a friend," said Andre. "You being new, me being that kid nobody really accepted. I always thought of my life like the song 'Monster' by Imagine Dragons."

"I have heard that song before that is how i feel around my grandmother she sees me as a monster because I decided to be me and not someone she wants me to be." Sammy said as class started and they got to work. The rest of the school day was pretty boring because of all classes and students acting like idiot.
Once school was over Sammy was getting her stuff and was shocked her locker was next to Andre's. "Hey Andre you want to hang out I don't want to go home yet at all knowing my grandmother is just going to be mean to me as soon as I get home." she said as she looked at him.

Andre gave a surprised look. "Sure," he said. "I was just gonna head home and grab my fishing pole, but maybe I could show you around town?" He looked at the magnets in his locker: "BANG HEAD HERE" and "Brain loading, please wait". Couple that with the quote "Complain less, breath more" taped to his locker, it was obvious how much he disliked people in general.

Sammy looked at him with her head titled. "You fish...I never been fishing before." She said to him as she noted the sayings attached to this lockers. "Wow nice magnets and quotes." She said for they all sound awesome to her. She pulled out her skateboard and then shut her locker as she looked at him with her board under her arm and her hand was on her hip. "I wouldn't mind seeing how fishing works I always wanted to try it one day but my grandmother always refused to let me so I can do this behind her back."

"That's pretty stupid," said Andre. "Anyone can fish. My mom does it. I can show you, although it's really, really simple." He slung his bag over his shoulder and started for the entrance. "Well, you comin'?"

"Hey like I said i never fished and never got the chance what could be easy for you but not for me." Sammy explained to him as she rushed after him when he started walking away. "Hey don't leave me behind." She said as she followed him out of the school. "And two you don't have to sound so rude about it remember my grandmother is old fashion."

"Not trying to," said Andre. "It's just a simple fact. you put a worm on a hook and cast it into the water. We can start from there." His house was two or three blocks from school, a big, two-story house painted white. He went inside and was instantly greeted by a tiny little, tan and white dog with a foxy face. "Hi, Goliath! Didja miss me?"
