[Fairy Tale Dreamer]

"We will see." Sammy said as she followed him from the school. She did not care really what she does as long as she was away from her grandmother she was happy. But when she saw his house she was shocked by it for she did not expect a house like that. "Wow nice place." SHe said as she entered with him and saw the tiny dog and squealled. "Aww what a cute dog I love dogs." She said acting like a girly girl for once but that only happen when she was around cats or dogs. To bad she did not have ne because if she did her grandmother could see how much of a girl she was still.

Goliath growled at Sam, and Andre flicked his nose. "Hey, be nice!" he chided. "She's a friend." He set the dog on the ground, who snorted at Sammy before trotting back to the living room.
"Is that you?" a woman asked.
"It's me, Mom," Andre confirmed. "I'm just gonna grab a snack for a friend and me, and head down to the lake. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, sure," his mother said.

"Grandfather is right I should be a cat person for it seems for some odd reason dogs hates me while cats go up to me like crazy." Sammy said as she watched the dog trotted off after snorting at her and she was glad she did not pet it for she might have been bit. She listen to the convo between Andre and his mother and was not sure if she should say anything at all but she felt weird being around someone else's mom when it only made her miss her mother even more along with her father.
"You mom sounds nice." Sammy said to Andre still feeling weird at the moment about being around his mother or even the same house as her.

"She is," Andre stated. "Life's not always perfect, but it's as close as it can be most of the time." He prepared the snacks, but they looked more like small meals-- a sandwich, chips, soda... not very healthy, but it kept him from griping about supper.

Sammy only nodded her head and was just quiet and did not really talk anymore for talking about family made her feel weird in her stomach and she would lose her appetite. She just waited for Andre so they could go fish and jut relax outside instead of her going home and vein scolded for no good reason by her grandmother. She rocked on her heels as she waited and wish the dog did not hate her so she could play with him as she waited but she was not risking being bitten.

Andre noted her hesitance as he packed a lunch bag. "He doesn't bite," he assured. "He's all bark, no bite, like a lot of politicians." To prove it, he picked Goliath up and tossed him into Sammy's arms.

Sammy was still hesitant for there was always a first time for everything with animals. But she freaked when Andre tossed his dog at her and she quickly caught Goliath. "Are you nuts I could have missed if I was not fast enough or even paying attention he would have gotten hurt?!" She said freaking for she liked animals and did not want to see them hurt or anything at all but she was glad she did catch Goliath. Though now she was wondering if he was just going to growl at her like he did earlier.
Even though she was thinking of something else she was mainly glad that Andre did not noticed ehr sad about him talking about his mother or just being in the same place at her for she did not want to be a bother about it.

Goliath was surprised himself, but looked up at Sammy with big brown eyes that looked a little sad. Finally resigning himself, he settled into her arms. "He's okay," Andre assured. "Besides, I figured since you skate, you have good reflexes and hand-eye coordination." He slung the bag over his shoulder.

Sammy looked at Andre weird before looking at Goliath for she was shocked he settled in her arms and was not growling. "Yeah thanks to my skating it really has helped free I finally stopped falling and breakin bones and my board." she said as she scratched behind Goliaths ear before putting him down to let him do his own thing. "So are ready to go or are we missing something still?" She asked as she looked at him.

"Just the fishing stuff," said Andre. Goliath gave Sam a look before going to find Mom. "I'll be home around five!"
"Okay, bye!"
Andre went to the garage and grabbed tackle box and fishing rod. It was old, but still a brilliant red, well maintained. The tacklebox, on the other hand, was old, covered with a layer of dust.

Sammy followed Andre to help him get the fishing gear. She quickly left the building with him for she still felt weird around his mother and just wanted to stay away from her before she got weird. She followed him to the garage and though his fishing rode looked nice but she thought the tackle box could be replaced. "Hey your tackle box almost looks like it needs to be replaced." She said to him just because at how old and how it was just covered in a layer of dust which meant it had not been used for a long time. "Is this your first time using it within a while?" She asked curious now.

"Yeah," he said. "But I will replace it once I have money to spend." He sighed. "Shall we go?"

"Sure I am ready when you are." She said to him and just followed when he started moving. 'Hey Andre where is your dad at work?" She asked out of curiosity and trying to to be sound weird about it because she has none. "Do you like living with your mom and dad?" She all of a sudden asked for she was curious about that for she missed living with hers. She knows she was asking a lot of questions but she was just curious about his family and what it was like.

"Yeah," Andre said. "Dad's a cross-country trucker. He's gone for days-- even weeks-- at a time." He listened to Sammy, noting her curiosity. "We have our ups and downs, but I love my parents. They've done everything they can to make my life better than theirs'. If I had to, I'd take a bullet for my parents. They mean that much to me."

"Wow that sounds so cool." Sammy said when she heard what his dad does and thought it was neat and was wondering how happy it made Andre when his dad would come home. "Sounds nice that you are so close with your parents and taht you would go that far and take a bullet for them." She siad with a smile as some of her hair was covering the left part of her face but it did not bug her for her haair always did that once in a while and she grew use to it. "Who taught you to fish Andre?" She asked for someone had to show him for his first time.

"Mom and Dad," Andre said. They were at the cemetery now; it wasn't far to the lake. "They both grew up country. Dad's the youngest of nine, and Mom is the oldest of two girls. They know how to fish, but not how to clean them." He sighed. "We have a local legend about the lake. Somewhere in there is The Monster."

"Wow they both taught you that is amazing." She siad but froze when they got to the cemetary and felt very un easy about it. "Why a cemetary of all the places to pass by it had to be a cemetary." She tried to follow him but only got shivers up her spine for she hated cemetarys after having her parents placed in one when she was 5 years old. "Y-ypu don't really belive that thier is a monster do you." She siad trying to keep calm though she was more sacerd of the cemetary then a make believe monster in the lake. "Um why did we have to go through a cemetary?" She asked not really wanting to move anymore now.

"Quickest way to the dock," Andre said casually. He couldn't tell she was in pain. "As for The Monster... it's real. A giant tiger muskie, with old lures hooked in his mouth. He took a guy's thumb off last year, I shit you not."

Sammy listened to him about how he said it was just old hooks and lures on a giant tiger muskie. "Oh wow really his thumb." She siad shaking a little for she just wanted out and finally she could no longer take it and sprinted past him and out of the cemetary. Once she was far enough from the cemetary she sat on the rock and tried to catch her breath back. "Thank goodness I am out of the cemetary I hate cemetraies." She said as she waited for Andre.

Andre continued his normal pace, a little puzzled. As he approached, he asked simply, "Are you okay? Is something wrong?"
